Saving or Publishing to MS Publisher

I have Windows 7 64 bit HP cpu with Office Professional installed.
When I want to publish or save my twelve page MS Publisher document as PDF I end up with 700+ pages (the document is repeated).
Does anyone have suggestions as to whow this can be remedied? Or why it is happening?

Adobe reader 9
I have an hp 64 bit with Windows 7,Office Professional 2007 with MS Publisher 2007, Word 2007.
I had PDF995 software on my older computer with (windows xp and Publisher 2003 that was stand alone from theMS Office software). PDF995 (with PDF995Edit) installed as a printer driver and I would chose it to print the doc. as a pdf. The doc. page  I had the calendar (table) on  would  be rotated in the conversion process. making sure the (each-old and new-computer)--settings to be the same--in  PDF995edit--In the new computer the (Publisher) document page with the table does not get rotated.
With the new computer, both applications, Word and Publisher 2007 applications have "Send e-mail as PDF" and "Save as..."
Publisher also has "Publish to..."
Trying  the different ways to print the Word doc., I can get a pdf document  with the one page rotated. That does not happen when I have a Publisher  document. I wrote to the software people at PDF995 but of course I had  already checked the settings they suggested. So I am thinking it is the way MS Publisher is written.?
I would use Word if  I could control it like I can MS Publisher. It's not easy when you have  a 12 page document with connecting text boxes. The church I work for  can't afford to purchase applications that are over $100. Even the new computer was given to us.

  • Saved and published updated website, changes not saved in iweb.  Have lost all work in iweb but correct site is on the internet.  Can I retrieve site from internet and replace to iweb so can continue updating?

Just finished updating web site, saved and published.  Showed up on the internet finr, went back to do a few tweeks and all my days work is gone!  Fine on the net gone in iweb!  I don't want to loose the days work.  Is there any way to get the website from the internet and stuffit back into iweb, without redoing all the work?  Why didn't it save?  Wjat can I do to prevent this happening again?  Where did I go wrong?

Publish you site to a folder on your hard drive and open it locally with your browser.  Check to see if the site is all there.  If not
    Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and publish to the folder again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • After saving and publishing to folder, changes are not shown...

I have successfully published 2 updated versions of my website to the same folder on my computer. I have just completed the third update, saved it, published it, yet after uploading the changes aren't shown on the site itself. I have closed/re-opened iWeb and the changes are shown. Any help would be appreciated!

It is really easy with an ftp app to wind up uploading the old copy of your site instead of the new one. Try publishing to your desktop or someplace else completely different so you will know that you are ftp'ing the newest version.

  • Recover saved after publish

I wanted to publish only one of my sites because it`s so much heavy materials in them all so it takes to long time to publish them all if you don`t need to.
So I saved the projekt and deleted the other sites, planning to be able to "revert to saved" when finished. But after publishing to folder iWeb atomaticly saved and I am not able to revert to saved anymore!
So I wonder is there any way I can recover my lost sites.
And is there anyway to backup your projekts so this kind of **** wont happen again?

no chance of getting that page back!!
    a. you can backup your iweb work by making a copy of this file (underlined):
    users/username/library/application support/iweb/domain.sites
    b. to manage several sites you can either use iWebsites:

    c. you can also see here for more info:

  • Save conflict while trying to save or publish a SPD 2013 workflow (SP 2013 version)

Hi all, I have a problem while trying to develop a SharePoint 2013 workflow. I'm able to create a new workflow for a list (to save it) and I can confirm that it can run. Unfortunatelly, when I try to modify It (either just after creation or when opening
it later) I get an error while saving or publishing:
Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were not saved.
    Save conflict
Your changes conflict with those made concurrently by another user. If you want your changes to be applied, click Back in your Web browser, refresh the page, and resubmit your changes.
ULS doesn't show anything helpful but the same message with lots of stack trace pointing  to a file save conflict.
Today, by accident I discovered that the workflow could be saved after it was open in SPD for nigth so I expect there may be some time lockout like when you access a document in a library from another domain (hope it's only 30 minutes).
I tried to re register the workflow service and even reinstalling and reconfiguring the workflow manager. This problem was present without the service bus and workflow CU, but now I have them installed as well.
    Any suggestions?
    Update:
I managed to publish the workflow after performing following steps:
    1. Open the workflow and make modifications (save conflict occurs when trying to publish)
    2. Reset IIS
    3. Publish workflow (the workflow is saved successfuly)

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got “save conflict” error  while trying to save or publish a SharePoint Designer 2013 workflow.
Please check whether the Central Admin > Manage Service Application-> “App Management Service” is started.
Please check whether the “Configure service application associations”,  ”App Management Service” is already associated.
Then please check whether the “Manage Services on server” and the “App Management Service” is started.
If all the service are started, add executionTimeout property in web.config file to increase the timeout interval(Make a copy of the web.config file before editing anything).
For more information, please refer to this site:Fixed: SharePoint Designer Error - Unexpected error on server associating the workflow
In addition, if you develop a too complex workflow and try to compile it in SharePoint Designer then you might get the error if your workflow exceeds the complexity limit. To fix the error you will have to redesign and break them into multiple workflows
    to achieve the business functionality.

  • Unable to save/publish Projects on Project Server 2010() using Project Pro 2007 and 2010

    Hi,
Recently we have upgraded from Project Server 2007 to 2010 SP-2 (BCM enabled) environment and from last few days we are getting issue with Project Plans where PMs are not able to update Projects means save and publish the Project using MS Project  2010/2007.
Whenever PMs try to open project using MS Project 2010 SP-2, it gets load successfully but when they hit save and publish no jobs are getting fired up nothing is happening. Only way to get out from MS Project 2010 window is to close the Project window and
and click discard changes. No error and exception windows are popping out in MS Project 2010, no error/problem/issue clue at all from MS Project 2010.
But when I try to update this Project plan for very first time using MS Project 2007 Sp-2 then I am getting below error
for any subsequent save and publish using MS Project 2007-SP2 getting below error
As an alternative I have tried to open this Project Plan using web and there it is getting opened saved and published successfully from PWA absolutely no issue.
Also I have saved this Project locally as XML and saved and published it on Server successfully. But after someday again this project got corrupt PMs started getting same problem again
I have also looked at ULS logs but not getting anything useful there.
So any guesses why this could happen that can give me pointers to find actual root cause, please let me know.
    Thanks much !!!

Used below steps to fix the Projects on MSP 2010.
    1) Open corrupted project in MS Project connected to PS 2010 Prod env.
    2) Goto > Resource > Add Resource  > Build Team From Enterprise
    3) Check is there any local resource who has not replaced with corresponding enterprise resource. If yes then replace all those local resources with enterprise resource. If not then move to next step.
    4) Open resource sheet view and sort or filter by local resources.
    5) Then add few columns in resource sheet view like "Windows User Account, Email Address , Base Calendar etc".
    6) Now check has any local resource having enterprise attribute assigned to it, if yes then delete or assign local value as appropriate.
    7) Then GoTo > File > Save & Send > Save as project file > Save for sharing (at local location)
    8) Close project plan window and click "Yes" to save changes.
    9) Restart MS Project 2010 and open your project from local location.
    10) Then Goto > File > Save & Send > "Publish to Project Server". This will open "Import Project Wizard" to validate Resources and Task in Project.
    11) Then in Import Project Wizard window at left hand side click "Map Resource" to validate project resources.
    12) This will "Map Project Resource to Enterprise Resource " check all the resources highlighted with "Red" font and map "Standard" calendar to local resources.
Note: Don't worry about local resource assigned "Standard calendar" but still highlighted "Red".
    13) Then click "OK" and click on "Continue to step 2" at bottom of "Import Project Wizard".
    14) Make sure you get number of errors 0 in step 2, else click on validate resource and take proper corrective action as explained in step 6.
    15) If you leave at least one resource as a local resource (unmapped to an enterprise resource), you will see the local resource in the Import Resource grid on the right side
    of the Confirm Resources page.
Examine the value in the "Import" column (if not able to see this column then insert this as new column) for the local resource .
The default value is "Yes", then change the value in the "Import" column
to "No", else system will import the local resource as an enterprise
    resource.
    16) Then "Continue to step 3, 4 and 5".
    17) Then at Step 5 , Save project to Project Server by clicking "Save as" link.
    18) Then publish the project to update the plan at PWA 2010.

  • Problem with custom sharepoint designer approval workflow - check box: 'Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item' is greyed out

I wanted to create a simple approval workflow. Hence I opted to start from scratch rather than copy the OOTB approval WF. Using SharePoint Designer (not Visual studio) I created a reusable workflow and have added the built in 'Start approval process' action.
    It's saved and published globally.
Everything works fine except that when associating the WF with a list the 'Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item' check box is disabled.
Major and minor versioning is enabled for the library.
What am I missing here? Or do I have to start from the OOTB approval WF to get this to work?
    Regards
    Henning

Again - new ideas pop up right after defining the issue as a problem. :-) Problem solved!
I solved this by creating a new workflow from the original publishing approval workflow (copy and replace), but instead of tweaking the already defined approval process (WF action) I deleted it, then deleted all initiation form and local variables,
and then added the 'Start approval process' action again. This re-installs all the necessary local variables without any initiation form involvement, which is just what I want.
From here I can tweak the workflow to make it more user friendly, much like
described by Bobby Chiang in his great blog.
Remember to add action Set Workflow Variable 'EnableContentApproval' to Yes right before the Start Approval Process action, else the document's status won't be set to 'Approved' or 'Rejected' as an output of the workflow.
    Learning every day!

  • On save or publish, modifications revert

    This bug is insane.
I went from CS5 > CS5.5 and only then had it started.
If I have a 9 sliced animated object, upon saving or publishing it (it's random, sometimes it happens, other times not) it loses it's slicing abilities and just stretches the movieclip instead. I have to keep applying slicing guides for it to work, then again if I reopen the file.
In conjunction with this, any text changes I make to the file are reverted, but in the strangest way. If I have text and I change that text and it's layout, it's all good. It's not till I reopen the saved file that the old text comes back. When this first happened, I thought I didn't save the file, but since I had structured the text differently, the text boxes were in different areas yet they were filled with old content.
Is this common? It's breaking my workflow left right and centre over multiple files. It wasn't until I published 12 of them that I noticed it wasn't going away. This is unnacceptable.
This isn't to mention the rest of the "fixes" that have been applied. Instead of changing things, fixing existing issues should be a priority.
    Thank you.

  • Problem with iWeb publishing

Does anyone know how to solve the following IWeb 09 problem. After changes have been saved and published, they rea appear as unchanged every time IWeb is reopened!. It seems as if IWeb has "forgotten" that it has already saved and published the changes.
The net effect is that there is a growing number of "changes to be made" because it forgets the changes, even if they have actually been published (This does not happen if you keep IWeb open - but as soon as you close down and reopen IWeb, the iweb pages reappear as "red" meaning there are unpublished changes (which is actually not the case)

  • Widgets Not Appearing on Published Site

I updated my work website by adding photo albums (Simple Viewer through LR4) with the HTML widget and YouTube videos with the YouTube widget. After saving and publishing the site changes, I viewed the website through iWeb (when prompted) and everything looked good. I then uploaded the website changes using Fetch, but all changes involving one of the widgets (HTML or YouTube) do not appear on the updated website (but the text and new pages are present). I repeated the saving, viewing, and uploading with the same results. This is an example of one of my new pages which is meant to have both YouTube videos and Simple Viewer photo albums: www.animalcancersurgeon.com/Limb_Amputation.
What can I do to get the widgets to appear on my uploaded website?
    Thanks

Thanks, Wyodor. Interesting - I cannot see these widgets on my site in either Safari or Firefox. When you go to the bottom of the page that you took a screen shot of above, do you see the Simple Viewer photo album?
When you say I should have moved the missing files on the server - should I have moved them to the Scripts folder or, in the above case, to the Limb Amputation folder?
This is currently the contents of the Limb Amputation folder:
And this is the content of the HTML and YouTube folders, which are both in the Widget folder insider the Scripts folder:
I'm not very savvy at this kind of thing, but I don't see the YouTube widget files in the Limb Amputation folder and nor do I see them in the YouTube folder inside the Scripts folder.
In the Limb Amputation folder, is widget6_markup.html the HTML widget for the Simple Viewer photo album?
Thanks for your help - I really appreciate it.

  • IWeb not publishing hyperlinks.

    Hello,
I just published my new website using iWeb. In the application itself, i have the hyperlinks box checked to be active. I saved and published the site. But when you visit the site online now, the home page does show up, but none of the hyperlinks work. The menu buttons don't work, the movie html snippets don't work.
When you roll your cursor over any of the active hyperlinks, the cursor doesn't show the white glove. When you click nothing happens.
Can anyone please help? The site is: www.kenlazercasting.com
    Many thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Your logo image is overlapping the navbar at the top. First try moving the logo image to the back and republish. Next edit the logo in an image editor to crop all of the excess empty space from around the logo, replace the existing logo image with it and make sure the navbar is below the image.

  • IWeb not publishing Text

Just finished adding, changing, saving, then publishing me iWeb page. It has been fine until now. Currently I am looking at partially complete pages online. Photo's seem to have downloaded but Text is missing.....all text .....on every page.
Everything looks fine on the backend....it is just not showing on the frontend. Is Apple doing something that might be causing interference with web pages?
Any ideas on what the problem might be?

    Yep...sorry!

  • Publish diagram in SSM

    Hi all,
After having created a Goal Diagram in the Diagram Manager, Saved and published and returned to the SSM Administration and Saved I still get the message "Not Published" next to the Edit Goal Diagram, where it's supposed to show the published data and give the option og unpublishing.
I'm running IE7 on Vista and working directly on the application server. IE7 and Vista is mentioned in SP7.
    Any ideas.
    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
I think the problem lies in the version of the diagram manager you are using. Since a new version of Diagram manager is released (7.0.4.8249), please install the latest version in both the server as well as for the user. I am not too sure of the version number , but that is the version I am using here.
Also please check the note 1248590 as well.
    Hope this helps

  • Photos move from where i place them once published

i've created my site and it's been working great for a couple months. I just added new photos to several pages and they all look fine once published except one page! have tried moving them again in iweb, saving, then publishing again, but same thing - the photos are misplaced and covering text.
    any ideas?? thanks!
    site is http://www.luminousadventures.com
and then on the "Reiki and Bodywork" page is the problem.
(I haven't figured out yet how to have my url forwarding go to individual pages - that's another question!)

well, I solved my problem with a very low-tech solution: since every time my photos would appear about an inch higher than where I'd placed them while in iWeb (once published), i intentionally placed them an inch lower than I wanted (had to do a bit of adjusting since I was guessing where they'd show up), but it worked!
I still don't know why this is only happening on this one page, when all the others I did the same and they are fine.
here's the results: http://www.luminousadventures.com Reiki and Bodywork page
