SCA  and C++ component support

Hi
We are evaluating SOA solution for a customer financial product, which is based heavily on C++. How will Oracle 11g with SCA, support integrating C++ application, apart from BPEL and mediator component?
Is it in the roadmap and when can we expect this to be GA?

Hi,
good point. I would be very interested in this, too. I think having a C++ and Java SCA implementation type is really desirable. We did some prototyping using Apache Tuscany and the results are quite promising.
Any information if and when Java or C++ implementation types will be available in Oracle 11g?

    I notice that the requests to fetch JS,CSS from Adobe AIR do not include Accept-Encoding: gzip header.

    I also noticed that even though the content served with far futures expiry, i.e. has Cache-Control: maxage={value} subsequent requests are being made and content is not served from the browser's cache.
    I observed this accross the app restarts.
    Can someone please clarify support of the two above Http headers ?

    Hmm. Don't know I'd go so far as to say that. Here's a more complete picture: "Webkit has an experimental MathML implementation which is enabled in Safari but the support is still limited and the rendering quality not very high. This implementation has not passed Google's security review and so is not integrated yet in Chrome."
    MathML support is far from complete in Safari and other Webkit browsers.

  • EP60 SP2 Portal Component Support

    Hi EP Experts,
       We are using EP60 SP2 and we are using Universal worklist to look at the workitems in the workflow inbox.
       Current UWL portal component supports only SAP file types while attaching a document to the work item. When i try to attach (.doc,.xls,.txt...) other than SAP document types i get some error 'PC application file couldnot be imported'.
       Attachment funtion through SAP Business workplace supports all type of documents.
       Was there any enhancement with EP60 SP3 or is there any patch released for EP60 SP2 to overcome this limitation with UWL.
       Did anyone came across this problem?

    FlashIsland is a native UI element like table or image - not a reusable component like ALV.  What release level is your system?  FlashIsland is only available on NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 and higher.
    Also the FlashIsland UI element must be a root UI element. Therefore it has be created in its own view.  Right mouse click on the ROOTUIELMENT in the UI element hierarchy and choose Swap UI Element Definition.

    Now I'm a little bit confused : what do I do if I develop a software component and lose the SCA and delete the track. If I understand correctly, the SCA (with source code option) must be imported into the track so developers can modify the source.  If I deleted the track where I did the development, how can I create a new track and continue developing this software component since there is no track to transport the source from.
    I know this is a worst case scenario but I was hoping the DTR would be our main source code database. This database is what I would backup with great care. I wasn't planing to do file system backups.

    Hi Thierry,
    If you delete a track in CMS the workspaces in DTR are not automatically deleted, i.e. you will not automatically lose your sources. (You can delete DTR workspaces manually if you really need to.) If you then create a new track with the same ID in CMS the DTR workspaces should be "reused". In that way you can also recreate what was there.

  • Missing Plug-ins for JBI Component Support

    Hie, I'm currently trying to install a pair of JBI Component Support Development Tools plug-ins, org-netbeans-modules-jbi-apisupport.nbm and org-netbeans-modules-jbi-apisupport-jbilib.nbm. However when I try to install them via the Update Center, I get the following error:

    Actually, Indesign only says like "I can't open, because it was saved from a newer version" and does not list any extensions/plugins.
    If you now make a new document, save it and open again - will it work?
    Those plug-ins are usually enabled/disabled via the Adobe Extension Manager (Menü "Hilfe"->Erweiterungen verwalten).

    The Software Deployment Archive (SDA) is the delivery format for SAP applications in programming languages other than  ABAP, for example applications of the J2EE Engine. It is an archive format that is compatible with ZIP and that can be used as a container for other archives. The SDA contains the manifest information, that is package-related data of the contained archive (e.g. jar, war) and an SAP manifest containing additional information about the software logistics. Larger entities can be created in SCA format in the second step from the different SDAs. A Software Component Archive (SCA) is the physical representation of a version of a software component. It contains a selection of SDAs that describe a precise version. Updating an SCA always results in a new version of the software component.

    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
    (If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

    To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
    For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
    a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
    b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

    I'm not sure what you mean by the 'apple support contact wont open' (?). If you mean the 'contact iTunes Store support' link on the page that you posted from I've just tried it and it seems to wok ok for me, though I haven't gone as far as to actually contact them.
    You can contact either iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps on the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use, or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • My WIFI keeps on disconnecting and even after reporting and suggestion by support the phone hasnt been replaced or repaired under warranty

    I think I have had enough. So its been a long time back and forth between me and you. Since I am not getting any solution and same thing you guys are providing me again and again.
    I want to take a step back and list down a few things which have happened so far :-  
    I started chatting with the apple support on this issue starting September - please refer back to your chats on this Serial Number.
    I have factory reset my phone like 20 times since then as each time they asked me to follow few steps which made me loose my data as your icloud doesn't work properly as stated by your customer care support people itself that sometimes the back up doesn't happen so please take back up at your laptop too.
    Send phone diagnostics by clicking on a link.
    reset your WIFI settings
    Call apple support after 24 hours of observation.
    Next day when same issue occurs then extreme Apology.
    Take Back up on computer and Icloud both and contact apple support once its done
    Call apple support again.
    Factory Reset by erase all contents and setting options. Once one call back again.
    wait and analyse for a whole day after setting up apple ID and data.
    Wifi Issue stil exists.
    Call apple support again
    Between all this I had to explain the issue each time to a new representative. This above process I have gone through at least 7-8 times. Please go and refer your call notes.
    So finally i got to know after escalating it several times and one of your supervisors told me that the issue is a hardware issue and it can only be replaced as they have tried it all.
    Supervisor assured me that he has recommended it to be replaced in notes and asked me to visit a center.
    I called in local distributor and set up an appointment, unfortunately couldnt make it. So call them to reschedule as I am working women so i dont have all the time in life to keep interacting with associate after associate so thought of walking in to an apple store near by and lodge a complaint. The supervisor updated me that I have warranty left and it will be replaced without any cost and also if i report and issue in warranty and if apple is not able to resolve it so the warranty stands true until its completely resolved after customer's consent.
    I went in to give my phone to the tech support and they kept it for analysis and came back saying the issue doesnt exist. I was getting a disconnection in my WIFI every now and then. My Data plan was always used and i fortunately have a proof of that.
    Customer rep told me talk to apple support and if they say we will replace it. One more place added where customer has to go.
    Now and back to square one - They say phone is damaged - we cant replace it. First of all the phone is not damaged and you guys are just finding reasons to not replace a faulty phone.
    It randomly disconnects and its listed as a known issue on your website too. had this not been listed i would have never thought its the phone. Then I started to observe that its the phone that makes a disconnection and not the WIFI connections as it was everywhere home, office and at friends place.
    Best i can do is call you guys when this happens if you guys promise me that the tech employee of apple can come to whatever location i suggest at that point and do not be surprised if the phone behaves normal when the person arrives as its random.
    Now you want pictures of my phone and you want to analyse further.

    After making an appointment and waiting over a week I was a few minutes late for my appointment I was told by apple I would have to make a new appointment. The shop was Chatswood in Sydney and the manager Mathew was very pathetic. I travelled 1 hour each way and was treated very poorly I must comment and say this was my first Apple devices and I will never understand how come people are buying these devices. The apps seem really good if only the hardware and the support could match. I really wish this manager all his best to Matthew in his next position somewhere else he obviously should not be in the position of managing an Apple store.

    This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default.
