SCAL - Transport function only active within customizing client

hi all,
when executing SCAL, the system prompted this message "Transport function only active within customizing client" at the bottom of the screen.
in SCAL --> Calendar --> Transport (this option not allowed)
I have checked the client details in SCC4, it is set as
a.) Automatic recording of changes
b.) Changes to Repository and cross-client Customizing allowed.
pls advise what need to be done to allow this client to be able to configure calendar, to save and to create TR.
previously it was ok.

hi all,
the solution for this problem is in SCC4 , change the client role to "customizing" ...
it was set to "test" that's why doesn't allow to create transport request.
sigh .. can't reward myself.

Hello SAP Programmers,
When i create addtional custom fields on ´Additional tab B´, these custom fields must only visible to one client(i am logged in as client 400).
Is there any way please suggest me.

1. Specify
In PBO you make the below condition. Find the screen fieldsof the two fields you want to hide , otherwise make a fields into a group and try to use the below code in PBO.
IF sy-mandt <> '400'.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
      IF screen-name = 'X '.
        screen-invisible = 1.
        screen-active     = 0.
        MODIFY SCREEN.
      ENDIF.
      IF screen-name = 'Y '.

VPN Client - Specify Custom Client Firewall (eEye Blink)?

I am trying to figure out if there is any way I can define a custom client firewall agent. Specifically I am looking to check for eEye's Blink HIPS agent. Ideally it would be great if this were fully supported/integrated similar to the various Zone agents or CSA. I would be more than willing to settle for basic AYT functionality in the meantime though.
Is this possible? A pointer to the documentation or a "how-to" would be really appreciated. I did not see where I could configure this in the documentation, but I think I may be looking in the wrong place.

The VPN Client then polls the personal firewall every 30 seconds to make sure it is running and if it is not, terminates the secure connection to the VPN Concentrator. In this case, the VPN Concentrator does not define the firewall policy. The only contact the VPN Client has with the firewall is polling it to ascertain that it is running, a capability known as Are You There (AYT).

Transport of Table entries to another Client.

Hello All,
I have a case where a Custom Issue resolution program has been created. We use this interface for logging support issues internally, and the facility for creating the attachments is also provided.(SU53 screens etc). With an onset requirement of System copy, i would like to save these Table data as all the issues are logged in the Issue tracker tables along with attachments.
Can any one let me know how to safegauard this data and save it from wiping out due to system copy.
The tracker is in QTY system and it is having 3 clients. 100,200,300. We are trying to perfrom the system copy on only 100 client and export 200 and 300 and reimport after system copy. So is there any way to transfer this data to 300 and then safely put it bvack to 100 ???

Hi Sri,
If all data you want to save, is stored in Z- or Y-tables, you can always use a normal transport to save the entry's. Thereby it is not necessary to save the tables in another client, that afterwards again is exported, reimported, and then transport the tables back to old client.
In short, you can do the following:
1) Create a new transport request
2) Add the tables to be saved in the transport request.
3) release the transport
4) Do the system copy
5) Add the previous transport to the importqueue after the system copy.
6) Import the transport into your (new) client 100.
I hope this short guideline helps you in usable direction.

can you please tell me what is Activity of customer ? is it similar like Partner Functions?? where we menstioned this PF for a perticular Customer? any t code to change this partner function for a customer? is it my changes are update the table KNVP (customer Partner function table)?....

Function module called within a loop seems to carry over global data

Hello all,
I am calling FM "RS_COVERPAGE_SELECTIONS" inside of a loop of all variants for a program and then writing the variant values to spool. If only one variant is entered on the selection screen, all the values are correct. If nothing is entered, some of the variant values are carried over from a previous variant. I am emptying the internal table returned by the FM every time before the FM executes.
Would some one be willing to run the following code for a program with many screen fields and many variants and tell me if they get the same behavior?

Try using the function module PRINT_SELECTIONS, within this FM, the FM RS_COVERPAGE_SELECTIONS is being called. So it will not copy the previous values.
Pass Mode as 'A' , report name and variant name, then it will display the same output.

Partner functions for a specific customer not seen in XD03 but appears in XD02

Hello SAP Gurus,
I have a situation where a partner functions for a specific customer not seen in XD03 but appears in XD02, In XD03 only one partner function (Ship to) appears but in XD02 (Sold to, Ship to, Bill to and payer appears), from the customer master I can see that account group for this customer has been changes to Sold to (Z001) from Ship to (Z002).
I checked in settings for OB20 transaction for display customer centrally, it is in Display mode as required and not suprresed would like your inputs as to why this is happening and what can be done to fix this.

Open customer master in XD02 sales view and save it then check in XD03 it should display the partner functions.
As you said the account group has been changed I think the records needs to be saved again.

Standard Function modules to update customer partner

Hi,
Can anyone please suggest standard function modules to update customer partner functions?
Was looking at Customer_insert, customer_update, CUSTOMER_UPDATE_SALES_AREA.
I will have only the partner data in the customser sales view to get updated. I dont need the company data.

A spesific material to be sold to only a spesific customer

I want a spesific material to be sold to only a spesific customer. Standard listing / exclusion facility (tcode = VB01) does not satisfy my needs. Is there any way to exlude all the other customers for the spesific materials (except creating a condition record for the exclusion of all the other customers)?

Yes, Material listing and exclusion is the standard functionality for this. The way I would have done it is
a. First find out a field which is free (like Attributes 1 to 10) or any other filed.
b. Create a new parameter say (01 - Exclude Material 1). Put it into all the customers by Mass Upload or LSMW or which ever is the best way out.
c. create a condition table with Customer Attribute field (or any other field which you think is relevant) material.
d. maintain the condition record in exclusion for customer attribute and materail.
Do not put any attribute to the customer for which you want to sell the material.
By this you would have maintained only one condition record in exclusion
When you create the sales order, system checks for the attribute and the material and if both satisfy, then it will exclude the materail in the sales order. For one particular customer (Where attribute is not present), sales oder will go thru.
Else, you will have to use a user exit as suggested.

Is SAP customizing client required to create a content repository ?

Hi,
We are facing an issue where we create a content repository pointing to an external content server. Then when we click on test connection then we get an error" Content repository does not exist".
Can it be cause we are doing work in a testing client having 555 number rather than a customizing client going by the number of 100 or 300 ?
Is transporting content repository required to use it to make an external HTTP server connection ?

You need to supply the "Key Store Location", "Key Store Password", "Private Key Alias" and "Private Key Password' to use socketssl.
Also please make sure that the content server has enabled "Use SSL". You can configure it using the enterprise manager.

Overdue to transport Function Module for Backend Access

Hi all, I have problem when overdue to transport function module to next system (iView has transported to the next system). When i transport this function module,the application work (before there is message internal server error) but there is'nt any data that show in my table (before using this new function module, data show properly). One thing that make me more confused that when my application tested in previous system, the data show properly. Anyone can help me ? Thank you

You just need to pass the value to the FM and FM will return the table with set of values now you need pass this table returned by FM to a internal table, for that you can just modify the internal table or append the internal table,

Hi,
Exits are basically the hooks whcih SAP has provided to add your own code. There are two types of Exits:
1. Customer exits: Implemented as Function Modules within z includes. Anybody can change it and no access key is required.
2. User Exit: Implemented as subroutines within includes (any include except y or z includes). You need access for the specific include and then you can any subroutine (user exit) within that Include.
BADIs are the enhanced version of user exits where the same logic is implemented via classes and object (OOP)
Enchancement point is the latest once introduces with ECC6.0 . Not very sure about that but you can change it without any access key.

Field Exit
If you are in 4.7 and up follow this
1. Run report RSMODPRF
2. Run on the selection screen
3. In list Field Exit > Create
4. Give your data element
5.System will generate the FM FIELD_EXIT_XXXXX
6. Activate it.
7. Select your field exit and assign to your program and screen
8. Select again .. Field exit > Activate
If you are in version below 4.7
1. CMOD
2. Go to >Text enhancment > Field exit
then follow the same step from 3 onwards as given above.
Menu Exit
Procedure for Creating MENU Exits.
1) To get into Area Menu Maintenance Screen Type SE43 T.Code in Command
Line.
2) In Area Menu Paramenter type 'S000' (S triple Zero)
3) Then Press Change Icon in Application Tool Bar. Then It may ask for
Access Key [or] it may display "Specify Processing mode" window. If it ask
for the Access Key Check for the availability of OSS Note and apply to open
Standard SAP Menu to include MENU Exits. Otherwise, if it display "Specify
Processing mode" window with Three Push Button. In which select "Change" and
proceed further.
4) Then it will display "Information" window with the following information
"Caution : The Original Language of the structure is German (editing lang. :
English) ". Then press "Enter Key to proceed further.
5) Then you will get into "Edit Area Menu S000".
6) for eg:- Expand Tools Menu.
7) Then Press ABAP Workbench <Icon>.
8) Then you will get into ABAP Workbench Menu Tree.
9) Then Expand Utilities Menu.
10) In the last line you will find one MENU EXIT Provision to include your
own menu. "Node Text Not Found" This text can be change by double Clicking
that. There you can find the T.Code. Here for Eg:- "+DW4".
11) for eg: - Here change the Text to "Sample Menu Exit" and then note down
the T.Code "+DW4".
12) Then Save with Change Request Number and come out of Transaction SE43.
13) Then Goto Transaction SE93.
14) Then type T.Code "+DW4" and press Create.
15) Then proceed further to create transaction called "+DW4".

Search function only returns the first entryinstead of 2600

I am using JDNI to search in a iPlanet LDAP. This is the code:

Sets ctx.setCountLimit(long), or else checks the "size limit" of your iplanet server (size limit: number of entries returned to the client application).

Develop Custom Client on MI?

This is my first post on SAP mobile and I am new to SAP & SAP mobile app developement. I want to develop a app for mobile phone to access sap back end application. I read sap mobile 7.1 documents and I came to know that I have to install sap mobile client to communicate with mobile environment (DOE). And, that mobile client requires J2ME to be installed on mobile phone and my targeted mobile phone does not support Java/J2Me unfortunately. Is there any alternate way to achieve accessing sap backend application data and manipulate from device w/o SAP MI DOE environment? Or How to develope a custom client that can communicate to DOE. Can anyone please give me a clear steps how to do this? Thanks in advance!!!

Thanks for your response with useful info. I have already read the pdf document and it contains good info, but those APIs are exposed as ABAP function modules, and I have no idea how to access them and I could not find any sample applications on that. Could you explain a bit more detailed way what are the steps to follow to implement a custom app. (any example would be fine), if you have idea on this? As per the DOE architecture, it says it implement custom client that will talk to DOE Synch. layer, but I do not know what kind of technology that should be. I am having java back ground and this is new to my technology world. Thanks in advance!
