Schedule emails from batch bursting file
I have created my batch-bursting list file, but I can't figure how to send emails to all of the recipients listed in the file. When I scheduled the batch, I added the batch-bursting file and copied the member selections. Then, I selected Export as PDF and Email as attachment. On the next screen, it asks for recipients, but I thought that was the purpose of the bursting file. What am I missing??? The documentation isn't very clear about how to actually schedule and send the PDFs as emails using the bursting file...
You can duplicate a lot of content in the bursting file, in the wizard - you can create template burtsing files for lots of the same content to be repeated in schedules.
It should only require the email addresses in one place - so either the bursting file or the recipents list. The recipients list is just there if you didn't specify a bursting file.
For emails, I would use an email alias - it's much easier to update members into the alias, than it is to review/update bursting files, especially if you have lots.

To my knowledge, exclude Outlook from indexing options will also disable your ability to search through your e-mail within outlook. You'll have to turn it back on if you want to have any search in Outlook client.
Try to add below registry key and see if it helps:

Send emails from a csv file (grouping records with the same email addresses)
Writing a script to send emails from a csv which contains record details and email addresses using the Send-Mailmessage cmdlet.
That part is no trouble, however, the csv file contain records that can have the same email address.
Is there a way/method I could send the records with the same email address once instead of sending individual email messages?

Unfortunately, the G.711 format is widely used for telephony and voicemail and currently does not play on the iPhone. I encountered this when my AT&T home voicemail would not play when forwarded to my AT&T exclusive iPhone. (so much for corporate compatibility)
One workaround is to forward messages to www.iphoneconvert.com. This service changes the file format and automatically forwards to the iPhone.
Hopefully, Apple will address the needed G.711 audio support in software 2.0 (July 2008) or in a future update. This would eliminate the need for the extra forwarding workaround. -

I have older Eudora emails exported to an expansion drive that I would like to move into my new Thunderbird email program. Thunderbird only seems to have imported files from my isp email account and not from my most current Outlook account and does not seem to allow me to browse to find files I wish to import. Does anyone know how I can go about this?

I have 199 emails in gmail to be saved to a file. I do not use the Mail app on the iBook. I found a way to use a gmail gadget, but it would mean going into each and every email and saving as a document.

Removing the icon from the Dock doesn't remove the application. Look in your Applications folder. You can drag the icon to the Dock if you want the option of opening it from there.

If my understanding is correct, both UTL_MAIL and UTL_SMTP will basically create a string that will be placed
in <to>,<cc>,etc. MS Outlook as, I believe, any other email has a limitation on the number of characters that can be placed in any of the fields. MS Outlook is limited to about 2000 characters in <bcc> (and in <cc> and <to> fields. It means if one email consist of 30 char, I can't place more than 60 emails in <bcc>. I will have to place about 500-1000 emails. What do you think about another approach: make the form create an Excel file which contains all emails and call it 'bcc emails'. Than place 'bcc emails' line into <bcc> section of the email.
There probably is a mechanism built in Outlook email that will recognize a referral to 'bcc email' and take the corresponding emails from the excel file.
I know, you use different default email.

u can upload the data either ( Master /Transaction) data with the help of lsmw. for that all u need to do is go through the lsmw and do it. in that u can go Batch input recording/ BAPI/ IDOC any of that. here i am sending the LSMW Notes go through it and do the work.
once u create the LSMW project then u can ask the data from user or u can explain the user about the program and can run the flat file to upload the data.

How to execute an SSIS package on a scheduled basis from remote server and pass in input files
I have an application server and a db server. My db server has all things SQL Server stored on it (DBMS, SSRS, SSIS, etc.) I have several nightly batch process SSIS packages (dtsx files currently) that will pickup an input file and import them
into the database. I would like to execute all batch processes from my application server as I have quite a few other ones as well that do other stuff outside of SQL Server via powershell. My question is how to do this? Is there away to execute
them remotely via DTexec.exe, should I set them up as Agent jobs and somehow pass in the file names\location (how?), create and SSIS catalog, etc.?
I need to easily be able to see if the packages execute successfully or not and if not capture the detailed information of why they failed from the remote server so I can use that to drive my process flow logic in the batch processes.Hi Jason,
According to your description, you want to execute a package on a schedule and receive notification when package ends with error in the job.
After testing the issue in my environment, we can directly add the package in a step of a job, then add a schedule and set the Alert and Notification property in the job to achieve your requirement. For more details, please see:
Create a Database Mail in the SSMS.
Right-click the SQL Server Agent services to Enable mail profile, then select the appropriate Mail profile.
Under the Operators folder, create an operator with the correct E-mail name.
Right-click the Jobs folder to add a new job.
In the Steps pane, New a step with SQL Server Integration Services Package Type to run the package.
In the Schedules pane, New a schedule for the job.
In the Alerts pane, New an alert with SQL Server event alert, then enable Notify operators option with an operator in the Response pane.
In the Notifications pane, enable Email option with same operator and When the job fails selection.
Then when the package fails, the job would be failed and we can receive the error message in the mailbox.
Besides, please make sure the account that execute the job has correct permissions for the file, for the folder that contains the file, and for the database.

Format of email body in bursting control file
Hi,
I am hoping this is a simple question for someone that is not as new as I am to bursting...
What is the new line character I should be using to format the outgoing email body within the bursting control file.
At present, the entire email body appears as one paragraph regardless of whether I have included new lines or not. I am no doubt missing something simple given that it is 5.20pm on a Friday.
Any help is appreciated.

I have been using Mac's now for about 10 years and this is my first problem.
I have recently moved into an office that use PC's with a Windows server.
I have set up the network to transfer files and view the windows server and it works fine.
I have a problem in that my colleagues on PC need to be able to view my emails which I send and receive using Mail. They therefore need to have logical title names and the date sent and ideally who to or from. I view them and archive them using Mail which is fine for me.
I understand about the archiving and copying of mailboxes but this gives every email the un-fathomable title name 9944847 etc.
I can get round the problem by dragging and dropping every email I send and receive individually and it will automatically give it a more logical title of the subject heading however the date is when it was dragged not when sent. This is a pain if I am away or forget to save an email for a day or two and then the date is inconsistent.
Is there a way to batch copy emails from Mail to a finder window and for it to name the files as the subject heading or to archive the files in a similar way so they retain the detailed information my colleagues require.
And no I can not get to all change to Mac and I don't really fancy using Outlook, Entourage or Parallels.

Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. If you get a warning that the file is in use when you try to empty the Trash, log out and log back in. -
I have a BIP Report that I'm generating from an XML file. The XML file also contains the email addresses to which these reports should be bursted to. When creating the data model from the XML file, I have the option of defining my bursting options but it seems that "SQL Query" is only allowed option.
Is it not possible to burst dynamically from an XML file?
Could you show me how I can get this done. The docs haven't really been too helpful.
ThanksOf course, this is possible. But what kind of "GUI XML" are you talking about? Is the XML given? Does it already conform to some GUI-XML-API? Give more infos!
