Scheduling failure ...

We are getting this error message while scheduling : Scheduling Failed as the required item or one of its components is not collected.
We have entered the item c*1234 at the order line and booked the order. the order line says booked and then when we try to Schedule the order line for this item ..we get the error message
The basic setups are :
profile INV:Capable to Promise is setup with value as ATP/CTP Based on Planning Output
The item hierarchy is as followed :
Item A (PTO item)
Item C (ATO item )
c*1234 ( Config Item )
c1
c2
c3
c4
BOM related setup in the shipping organization org1 :
The BOM for the item C has the components c1 , c2 , c3 and c4 defined under it.
The BOM for the item c*1234 has the components c1 , c2 , c3 and c4 defined under it.
Item Master related setup :
For the PTO Item A we have the ATP_FLAG as N while ATP_COMPONENTS_FLAG value as N
For the ATO Item C we have the ATP_FLAG as N while ATP_COMPONENTS_FLAG value as y ( material only )
For the Configured item c*1234 we have the ATP_FLAG as N while ATP_COMPONENTS_FLAG value as y ( meaning the scheduling for this config item would be based off the ATP calculation for its components )
For all the component items ( c1 , c2 , c3 & c4 ) we have the ATP_FLAG as Y while ATP_COMPONENTS_FLAG value as y and appropriate atp_rule is populated.
Now we have created an order with item c*1234 entered on it. then we book the order and see order line status
goes to Booked with the shipping org as Org1, but the Schedule ship date is Blank. We try to Schedule this order line for this item it says
Scheduling Failed as the required item or one of its components is not collected.
We checked in the msc_system_items table for plan_id = -1 (data collection) as we as for plan_id for the ATP Plan,
the component items c1 , c2 , c3 & c4 are collected for the master inventory org as well as shipping organization org1
But for the config item c*1234 in the msc_system_items we see entry only for the master inventory org but there is no entry
against the shipping org Org1.
Could someone please suggest us as to what could be issue here or what setup needs to be done

1. Yes forecast control for the option class items is set to : Consume & Derive while for the Option Class this is set to Blank & FOR THE C* configuration item the Forecase control is set as Blank
2. Regards the Planning flags : option class items : MRP/MPP Planned with End Assembly/hard pegging , for the C* item as well Planning method MRP/MPP Planned with End Assembly/hard pegging
3. Regards the ATP flags :
for the option class items : Check ATP : material only , atp rule : is defined as well , ATP Components : material only
for the C* Configuration item : Check ATP : material only , atp rule : Blank , ATP Components : material only
The issue is happening when only the C* item is put on the order line directly and then scheduling doesn't happen. we are not getting what is the issue here
If we configure using the PTO Model , ATo Model and components and then get the C* item ..then this scheduling happens fine.
thanks

  • Error: Component failed to run due to a Object Package scheduling failure

    Hi,
    BusinessObjects XI R2 SP 5, FP 5.1
I am trying to schedule a group of reports (crystal reports) via a package where the output destination is to an email. At the event of execution of the scheduled time for the package; the package fails with the error: Component failed to run due to a Object Package scheduling failure. (Note: When scheduled individually it is successful and it was copied to the package from its original location, so there is no mistake in parameters or ODBC connections)
When we go to the history and within the instance, we see that some of the reports have the status as success and some are failed with the same error message. Even though some of the reports are made to fail at the event of 'NO DATA'; what I do not understand is that how come some of the other reports (which contains data and which works when trying to run manually or scheduled individually) are failing.
I would understand something is wrong when the entire package fails which is not the case here as say of 50 reports, 5 are successful and the rest fails with the same error.

Sorry posted on the wrong section...

  • BI Publisher Scheduler Failure

    Hello All,
Here is the error that I am getting when trying to schedule a BI Publisher report. Could you please help me solve this issue?
Enterprise Scheduler--------------Critical-------------     Start Error; JMSAdminWrapper failed to start JMSWrapper, weblogic.jms.common.JMSSecurityException: Access denied to resource:
    type=, application=BipJmsResource, destinationType=queue, resource=BIP.Burst.Job.Q_auto_1, action=receive
    JMS----------------------Failed-----------------Access denied to resource: type=, application=BipJmsResource, destinationType=queue, resource=BIP.Burst.Job.Q_auto_1, action=browse
    Thank you very much.

By any chance have you changed the BISystemUser account to something different? We implemented an Active Directory Authentication provider in Weblogic on our OBIEE 11g server and changed BISystemUser out for a different account. We started seeing these errors not long after. We solved it by doing the following:
    Go to weblogic console
    Expand Services
    Expand Messaging
    Click JMS Modules
    Click BipJmsResource
    Click Security
    Click Policies
Add Or condition so that the policy conditions end up as:
         User: NameOfNewSystemAccount
         Or
         User: BISystemUser

  • Periodic Schedule failures due to locked objects

We are periodically encountering issues with nightly schedules against BW Bex universes.  Some schedules will fail with the error "A database error occured.  The database error text is: Error getting variables for cube (Cube\Query name) (catalog cube): Object requested is currently locked by user (user) (WIS 10901).  This doesn't happen all the time and we can't reproduce it on demand.  We have checked st22 for any further explaination and there is no record of anything.  We have already applied Note 1528921 which we thought would resolve the issue but that did not.  I have not found anything that points to the root cause of the issue.  Has anyone else come across this and resolved it?

  • Reporting Services Schedules failure

    Hi,
We are facing certain issue in reporting services. We were trying to change the timing of shared schedule and when hit the save button, it did not saved new timings but shown below error. Before changing the timings, schedule was working fine.
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError)
    Get Online Help
There are two or more jobs named 'F9756B18-FEF6-4197-B790-172D908ABAAE'. Specify @job_id instead of @job_name to uniquely identify the job.
Now clicking on Manage shared schedule is also showing same error. We had faced same issue earlier once. ReportServer Database table Schedule is
showing single  schedule. Please help me to figure out the problem

    Hi ANREV107,
According to your description, you created a shared schedule and it works fine, when you tried to change time of it and click save button, the error message occurred.
I tried to reproduce the issue in my local machine, but it works fine for me to change time of shared schedule. To solve the problem, we need to go the SQL Server hosting the ReportServer database and delete one of the duplicate jobs with the id: 'F9756B18-FEF6-4197-B790-172D908ABAAE',
then delete the other from the report server UI.
If the problem remain unresolved, i would appreciate it if you could give us detailed error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\<SQL Server Instance>\Reporting Services\LogFiles). It is helpful if you could provide more information
about how the situation occurred, the version of SQL Server. Does it happen often, or only when the report server is under load. It will help us move more quickly toward a solution.
    Thanks,
    Wendy Fu

  • Webi schedule failure

I have a webi report against BW data using BICS connection which is scheduled to run every week. The schedule fails with the error" while trying to invoke the method com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.provider.selector.IProviderInfoObject.getName() of an object loaded from field com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.selector.InfoObject.providerInfoObject of an object loaded from local variable 'this' " but completes successfully when scheduled with "run now" option.
The report itself takes 15-20 min to run.
I have tried changing the timeout parameters.
Has anyone else faced similar issue??

    Hi Sameer,
Yes, we have split our APS. The request time out paremeter is set on the DSL BRIDGE APS which has the following services

  • Lost failure mesages from scheduled instances

We've found that when reports are scheduled with the "Cleanup instance after schedule", or with an Instance Limit, failed instances are removed as well as successful instances.
In trying to find the actual reason for the failures, I checked the audit tables.  But the only indication of the failure there is an ERROR_CODE value of 1.
Is there a better way to identify failed instances, and the actual reason for the failure?

    Hi Joe,
Typically you would need to enable tracing of the XI3.1 Job Servers in order to get more detailed information on the schedule failure.
There is also sometimes information in the Application Event Server logs - might be worth checking on the XI3.1 server.
In terms of the schedule values which are submitted back to the CMS from the Job Server the values are:
3 - The job failed. Use error message or outcome to get more information.
8 - The job is paused. Even if all dependencies are satisfied, it will not run.
9 - The job has not started because dependencies are not satisfied. Dependencies include time constraints and events
0 - The job is currently being processed by the job server.
1 - The job completed successfully.
These values could be queried by the Query Builder.
I'm not aware of what the ERROR_CODE = 1 value represents, but if I were you I would try and see via the tracing if there's a pattern to the schedule failures - most likely you can tweak the job\report server settings or modify the report(s) to rpevent these schedule failures.
    I hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • Business Objects Scheduler Jobs Monitoring

    Hi,
Is there a management pack available for integration with System Centre (SCOM) such that we can monitor failed scheduled jobs in Business Objects via SCOM?
Is there any other way to monitor failed scheduled Business Objects jobs straight from the database or via any other method?
    Thanks,
    Chandan

    Hi Chandran,
I'm not a SCOM expert but I understand it is basically a monitoring tool.
Normally you would check for failed schedules in Business Objects using the Instance Manager, to filter for failed scheduled reports. Alternatively you could use the Query Builder to report directly against the XI3.1 Repository and return a list of failed instances.
Above workflows can also be coded into the SDK to provide customised feedback on schedule failures
The final option would be to simply set up email Notifications on the schedules to simply email the Administrator in the event of a schedule failure.
With any of the above options it should be possible to link in your SCOM system to read\monitor from this output.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • Energy Saver Schedule is backwards

    Hello everyone,
Does anyone have an issue with their schedule being backwards? I have my computer set to start up or wake everyday at 6:00 am and to shut down every day at 11:59 pm. I used to go to sleep knowing my computer was turning off and get up in the morning to have my computer - ready to use... but now for some reason, when I go use it in the morning, I notice the shutdown window is up stating that the computer is about to shut down unless I cancel. That should've happened at 11:59 pm. So, it seems that the computer is backwards somehow.
Is this a known bug with BootCamp and the fact that the Windows partition changes the clock? Once I reboot into OS X, the time auto corrects because I have it set automatically, so I'm not sure if thats correct or not?
    Thanks in advance!
    -JD

    Test failed.
See my  iTunes Alarm 213 in Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger > Discussions for details of many failed solutions.
Somehow Energy Saver/Schedule failure is linked to recent failure of iTunes Alarm 213. It awoke my computer and played a radio station for several months but recently starting asking for admin password which it then rejected as incorrect (even tho password was OK elsewhere). Password change failed to solve problem. Would using AppleJack and CleanMyMac help? Using an OS on a maintenance CD to use Disk Utility/Repair Disk?

  • DBACockpit Scheduling Failed but Job Finished

    Folks,
I'm having some unusual activity on the DBA Cockpit. Each hour I have 4 jobs running (15 minutely trans log backups), and on the whole they work fine. However, randomly, I get scheduling failures.
    A successful run looks like...
Whereas a failure looks like this...
    with the next job being....
The backup gets done, but I get the Scheduling failure and the subsequent success tab. In some ways it's not an issue as the backup is running, but I'm confused as to why it's happening.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi Mike,
Did you happen to apply all the latest corrections for dba_cockpit available for your SAP system release.

  • Cluster environment / OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1

    Hi All,
Can anyone give me more information on Clustering
1> Can we make schedulers work in a cluster environment ?
2> Max number of servers in a cluster configuration ?
    Thanks
    Goutham

The Cluster Server allows up to 16 Oracle BI Servers in a network domain to act as a single server.
Schedulers can also work in a clustered configuration however only one instance will always be active...
Active Scheduler. An active Scheduler is a clustered Oracle BI Scheduler instance which actively processes Scheduler jobs. The Cluster Controller determines the active instance at runtime and notifies the Scheduler cluster of this instance.
Inactive Scheduler. An inactive Scheduler is a clustered Oracle BI Scheduler instance which is not actively processing Scheduler jobs but is ready to take over in the event of an active Scheduler failure. An inactive scheduler is idle at all other times.

  • Unable to move email or view some email in Mail w/ Google Apps

Using Apple's Mail application to access my Google Apps accounts via IMAP.
    I'm having two problems:
    1. I cannot view any email messages in any subfolder of my account when working within Mail. Everything shows fine when I log in directly through Google Apps/Gmail. Note that the "Rebuild" option under my Mailbox menu is disabled for whatever reason, so I can't try rebuilding Mail's index/database.
    2. I am no longer able to move messages from my inbox to any of my subfolders. It's been this way for a couple days now.
Specifically, I get the following error...
The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to INBOX/1 - Scheduling) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: No folder INBOX/1 - Scheduling (Failure).
...which comes up when I try to move a message from the Inbox to the subfolder "1 - Scheduling".
Any thoughts or suggestions? Both of these things worked for a couple days after I first set this up last week.
So far, I'm too happy with my migration to Google Apps
    Frustrated,
    Dan

For anyone who's curious, I was able to fix the problem by converting my old folder structure into single-layer labels. I guess Google still chokes on mail that is stored in multiple nested/hierarchical labels because it works fine now.
So NOT a good "solution", but at least it works in all email clients now.

    Hi Zeeshan,
I have found a hotfix against the same error messages, though it applies to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, I am not sure if it will work on your machine.
Please refer to this KB article below:

  • Status of a schedule - error message on failure.

    Hello All,
when querying for status, after scheduling a document, using the schedule Id - the service returns Completed/Failed status. In case of a failure, it does not give us any detailed description of the failure. This would mean that we have to go to lauch pad in order to look at the reason for failure.
I'm using the http://localhost:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/12345/schedules/34343 to get the status for schedule Id 34343 and document Id 12345.
Is there any othere service that can give more information on failures?
