Schema configuration

Hi
As far as I know schema is just a layout of database and one DB can have as many schemas as needed.
so, can there be more than one users for a schema?
and can one user be owner of many schemas??
Thanks!!

Hi Mohit,
A user and a schema are pretty much the same. For each user you can give privileges to use objects owned by other users/schemas.
This means that a user can access multiple schemas depending on the privileges given.
Thanks
Sander

  • Multi vlaued attribute in IDM Schema Configuration

    The IdM docs - states
    Optionally, an IDMAttributeConfiguration
can specify whether the attribute is multivalued,
and can provide a display name (currently not used),
    and a description.http://docs.sun.com/source/820-2961/A_edit_configObjects.html#wp19336
Does anyone have any idea ... how to specify an multi valued attribute in the IDM Schema Configuration ?
Or how can i have the email attribute configured as multi-valued.

you need to have multi='true' in the resource configuration. Something like this:
    <AccountAttributeType id='11' name='changedate' syntax='string' mapName='changedate' mapType='string' multi='true'/>
I don't think you can set that through the gui; you have to edit the xml manually

  • WCF - Getting the "The authentication schemes configured on the host ('Anonymous') ....." error

"The authentication schemes configured on the host ('Anonymous') do not allow those configured on the binding 'BasicHttpBinding' ('Ntlm'). "
I am brand new to WCF and services in general.  I have turned on the basic, windows & digest auth modes in my iis express.
One thing I just noticed in my iis express config file, I had turned on basic auth in the "turn of windows stuff" in the task manager then rebooted, but I just opened the applicationhost.config file on my machine and saw this:
                <authentication>
                    <anonymousAuthentication enabled="true" userName="" />
                    <basicAuthentication enabled="false" />
shouldn't that basicAuthentication read as true?
I was given this existing project to make some changes to, but I cant even get it to run on my machine, so I'm assuming something is up with my local iis express settings.

I have successfully installed the CC software and am having problems with the configuration.
    I am running this command:

In the linux window I get the following feedback. Note the "divide by zero" error.

    John,
I note that your database version is 12.1.0.0.1 - 64bit Beta, which is not certified for EM 12c. This may have something to do with the repository creation failure. Can you try using a certified database version (e.g. 11.2.0.2 or 11.2.0.3) to host the EM 12c repository?

  • OMB script to remove DBLink and Schema configuration from mapping

In OWB903 we have used prefixes for most of our tables used in mappings. (By right clicking on the mapping, choosing configure and then setting the Schema/DB Link for each table under "Sources and Targets")
We are now in the process of upgrading to OWB 904, and because of the way OWB 904 handles locations we would like to remove the prefixes from the mapping configurations. Our project consists of 100+ mappings, so it would be nice if it was possible to do this by runing a OMB script.
I would appreciate it very much if anybody can come up with an example of how to do this.

    Roald,
Here is an example of a OMB script that renames all the tables in a project (to run a script, you have to open the OMBPlus application and enter 'source <filename>' on the prompt, where filename is the name of the file containing the script):
    # rename.tcl
    # Renames the names of tables, mappings, cubes and dimension for a project.
    # Prefixes the names with 'WH_'
    # Please update the connection information here.
    # The connect string format is repository_user/repository_pwd@hostname:port:service_name
    # Connecting to the repository:
    OMBCONNECT owb904/owb904@localhost:1521:ora9201
    puts "Connected to repository."
    # Setting the project and prefix variables (set project name here):
    set MProject MY_PROJECT
    set wh WH_
    #Open the project

  • Changing existing schemas configured when the environment is running fine

    Hi Masters,
Consider an Essbase server (11.2.1.4) which is running fine with some essbase applications and now I need to change the schemas on which the foundation and EAS are running.
Can we do that and what could be the impact on running essbase applications?

  • Daily wage schemas configuration

    hi,
Can any body help me how to configure the schemas for daily wages.......very urgent and your help needed.

    Dear Aniket,
I also have a similar scenerio. Like we have daily wage employees for our client. For example if the daily wage employee is paid Rs. 100 per day and he is present for 20 days in a particular month. If we enter Rs.100 in Infotype 0008 as Basic pay daily, the system has to calculate for the number of days present and pay the employee. How can this be configured.
Your help would be of great consideration.
    Thanks in advance.

  • BPEL Database Schema Configuration

    Hi,
Where do i find BPEL database schema information? Please let me know. I use SOA Suite 10.1.3
How can we find out what schema we are hitting for the BPEL instance ??
    Regards,
    Pradeep
    Edited by: pradeepr25 on Mar 11, 2010 10:45 PM

    Hi Pradeep,
You can find the exact details of the schema creation etc in the sql file invoked from the soa_schemas\irca\irca.sh (irca.bat) from the install folders of SOA Suite.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28980/appendixa.htm#CHDBIGIA
In case you want to see the connection details for your install, they would be in data-sources.xml file under $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_soa/config directory.

  • Configuring Multiple Schemas in Oracle ADF application

    Hi,
Thanks all for the replies for my previous posts :-)
We have a requirement in which we need to configure our application for multiple Database schema. At runtime based upon the logged in user we need to get data from the schema related to that user.
These schema may be on same Database instance/server or may be on different DB servers.
    The requirement is like this
Logged in User DB schema configured
    "A" ASchema @ 127.0.0.1
    "B" BSchema @ 127.0.0.2
    "C" ASchema @  127.0.0.1
    "D" Dschema @ 127.0.0.2
based on the User login (which is happening through one OID system), I need to fetch data from different schema (configured for different application).
These schema have different set of tables but set of table we require for our application are of same structure.
Same structure means same Table names with same relations.
Please let me know can we do the same in Oracle ADF application and How?_
One more requirement is that if i add a user at runtime and configure the DB schema for this user, All data related to this users will be loaded from this Schema which is configured for this user.
    Thanks in Advance,

You can try the below example to change database at run time.
in the filter change the connection and not the credentials
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/dynamicjdbchowto-101755.html#03.
Most of the other part is done to handle state management tables, which you might also have to do unless you use a file passivation store or if its ok to passivate to a single database always.
If its ok to passivate to a single db always. Hard code the jbo.server.internal_connection in the AM configurations to a DB jndi name.
Adf allows you to activate and passivate to a different database other than what you are connected to get and put data.

  • Error while running OBIA configuration configApps.bat

I am receiving error while running configapps.bat.
I have the following wnvironment installed:
    64 Bit windows
    Java 6 (JDK1.6.x)
Weblogic server 10.3.6 in software only mode
Ran OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 RCU utility to create BIPLATFORM and MDS schemas.
    configured OBIEE 11.1.1.7
Installed ODI 11.1.1.7 with All components and “Skip Repository Configuration”
Ran OBI Apps RCU to create schemas for:
ODI Master and Work Repositories (DEV_BIA_ODIREPO)
    Oracle Business Applications Components (DEV_BIACOMP)
    Oracle Business Analytics Datwarehouse (DEV_DW)
    Update to MDS schema.
    Installed BI Apps 11.1.1.7.1
    Applied FMW Platform Patches
Updated BIACOMP Schema with ATGLite patch scripts
Everything was up and running until now, when i try to configure OBIA via running configApps.bat, it is getting stuck at ODI configuration.
Also the server seems to be going to idle/suspended state every now and after 5-6 mins of startup and i see this message repeated again and again in server log :

Has anyone encountered this issue and any idea how to resolve this.
Appreciate any help in advance ...

The re-install has been successful. Didnt encounter any issues in any configuration.
    However the waring still appears

  • How to create an database account authentication scheme in apex

    Dear
I have an apex installation (embeded) on oracle 11g.
I want to create a database account authentication scheme in apex. I have seen the page with different tab like name, subsription, source, session not valid, login processing, logout URL,session cookie attributes and comments.
I want to know what are the things to be specifed on these tabs and the effects. I have gone thru the documentation 'Application Builder User’s Guide Release 4.1' , but the functionalities of these tabs are not mentioned.
    Please help.

    Thanks to dear Jit
    I am new to apex.
I have gone thru that documents but I couldn't find any detailed documentation about the database account authentication scheme configuration
The database account authentication scheme creation interface will show tabs like name, subsription, source, session not valid, login processing, logout URL,session cookie attributes and comments.
I want to know what are the things to be specifed on these tabs and how it will reflect in the login. The specified documentation is not giving any detail about the above mentioned tabs of authentication scheme creation iwizard.
And also I want to know how the applciation user will be mapped to the database account?
As per my understanding a database user (for each run time user) is required for to authenticate the apex run time login other than the applciation schema user (holds the objects of applicaiton)
run time user means - end user who uses the applcaition, not the developer.
    Please help.
