Schema.core.xml is server dependant ??

Hello
For building one of our server I have copied schema.core.xml from another server to local server. Now Everythign is working fine, but I cant login to Application. Wants to know schema.core.xml is server dependant or independant.
means can we copy schema.core.xml from server to server or what it contains which is server specific.
How to work with LDAP with weblogic like J Explorer any Tool or Options are there

schema.core.xml is part of the embedded LDAP server. I am not sure why you
are modifying it as it reflects the data used by the security providers. If
you are going to copy it, you probably also need to copy the corresponding
data files.

  • What is difference btw schema.core.xml and schema.user.xml in OVD

    Hi
    New to OVD, I'm looking at Oracle's OVD configuration properties Docoument
    I'm confused with list of schema files on OVD especially difference between schema.core.xml and schema.user.xml
    In the oracle document it mentioned  as below.
    Typically, the last file identified is schema.user.xml. Any and all changes to schema are applied to the schema.user.xml file to ensure standard files, such as schema.core.xml, remain unchanged between releases, but can also be virtually modified by having the changes in schema.user.xml override default-shipped schema in schema.core.xml.
    If you are installing a manufacturer supplied schema (in DSML form), identify this file in the second to last file in the list of schema files. This will protect the distributed manufacturer file from modification while allowing local customization, which is then stored in schema.user.xml.
    Based on above two paragaraphs i came to one understanding but i just want to hear from you what exactly its trying to say about those two files.
    Not sure what exactly above mean can someone explain lettle in detail

    Hi,
    The LDAP schema used by OVD is shipped as  several XML files such as schema.core.xml, schema.cosine.xml, schema.inetorperson.xml, schema.nis.xml etc. depending on in which RFC the attribute and object classes are defined.
    All changes to these schemas (if any) are always applied to schema.user.xml, so this file contains all the custom attribute types & objetclasses.
    Hope this clarifies a bit

  • How many entries is embedded LDAP of weblogic 8.1 capable to store ? let's assume we use default LDAP schema being defined in schema.core.xml

    "ming qin" <[email protected]> wrote in message news:[email protected]..
    I would like to have entries as users.There are a few issues that arise as the number of users increases. The
    first is management
    of all these users. Will you be able to load/update/manage all of the users
    via the WLS console?
    You can certainly use external LDAP tools to manage the data in the WLS
    embedded LDAP
    server, but using an external LDAP server may offer better tools for
    management than those
    offered in WLS.
    The second is performance. Since the ldap server embedded within WLS uses
    in-memory
    indices, the time to load the indices and the memory required for storing
    them increases as
    the number of users increases. 20-50K seems to have reasonable performance.
    The last is extensibility. The WLS default authenticator stores user,
    description, and password.
    You may have different requirements and want to store additional
    information.

  • Not able to access schema from a Web Server

    I am not successful in using a schema from a web server. I am using j2sdk1.4.2_06, and JDOM-b10. I have been successful in accessing schema using a file path, but not with a web address. The server is Windows Server 2003, I create a virtual directory using IIS under Inetpub.
    Let the URL be: http://server/research_schema/client.xsd
    This would be accessible only on the intranet.
    Here is some XML:
    <client xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
          xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://server/research_schema/client.xsd">
    <execute matlab="false" commit="false" return_server_msg="false">
    <t1>
    <load_batch_data>
    <username>test</username>
    <password>test</password>
    <database>db</database>
    <get_next_batch>true</get_next_batch>
    </load_batch_data>
    </t1>
    </execute>
    </client>
      Here is the code that sets the parser to be validating, and sets the schema location, I am using JDOM:
    builder = new SAXBuilder("org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser", true);
    builder.setFeature(
      "http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/schema",
      true);
    builder.setProperty(
       "http://apache.org/xml/properties/schema/external-noNamespaceSchemaLocation",
            "http://server/research_schema/client.xsd");
    doc = builder.build(source);The error I get is a JDOMException saying the client element is not found, but I know that the client element is there, after seeing the XML output to
    a file from the sender.
    I see many exmples on the internet using a URL for the schema location, and it is usually the internet and not just the intranet. So it does work for someone.
    I'd appreaciate any help.

    Steve, et. al.,
    My apologies for using this in lieu of email, but I have been searching and searching for the answer to your questions from last summer concerning the correct method for getting the local xsd file to be correctly accessed from the xml file when using JDOM to parse with validation..
    I did not see successful resolution of the thread from last summer, but this one seems closely related and suggests that you were either instructed to give up, or gave up on your own and went to the solution of placing the xsd file on a server.
    Maybe I've got my head screwed on wrong, but I, like you, would like to find a successful way to make xml processing work for a JWS-provisioned application the same as it would if I just sent the clients a big jar file and told them to unjar it to some convenient local directory. In that scenario xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation = "itsrighthere.xsd" works as expected.
    Can anyone tell us what the correct method of specification is in the JWS context?
    Thank you.

  • XML Data Server and model help

    All,
    I have the following files
    1) travel.dtd
    2) travel.xml.
    I've set up a XML data server with JDBC driver com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver and URL = jdbc:snps:xml?d=c:/XML/travel.dtd. I have created a model in designer and have successfully reversed the datastores generated from the dtd.
    The travel.xml file has data populated within it, but when I right click on the datastores, there is nothing displayed. This makes sense because the xml server is configured to point at the .dtd. Do I need to change my topology connection to connect to the xml document as opposed to the dtd. Can someone tell me what i'm missing?
    thanks for your help.

    Since its not displaying anything as you are saying you just change the property to "f" and check.
    Example
    jdbc:snps:xml?f=/xml/myxml.xml&d=/xml/myxcd.xsd&s=MYSCHEMANAME
    ("s=MYSCHEMANAME": This schema will be selected when creating the physical schema under the XML data server.)
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

    I Re: New ODI User having trouble creating an XML Data Source... a couple of weeks ago regarding some troubles I've been having inserting an XML Data Server in the Topology Manager. Unfortunately I'm still having some problems. I thought I'd start a new thread with more detail than the last. Thanks for the responses in advance.
    I followed this guide: [ODI XML to Database Transformation|http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/ODI/ODIXML_to_DB_Transform/ODIXML_to_DB_Transform.htm] , which was helpful, but since it used example XML files it did not go into how to use your own custom XML file.

    </Money>So I go into Topology, select the "Physical Architecture" tab, right click "XML", click "Insert Data Server". I name my file "XML_MONEY", select the JDBC tab, and fill in the following fields:
    JDBC Driver: com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
    JDBC Url: jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/Money.xml
    When I hit "Test", it gives me this annoying message:
    java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
    I have no idea why. I definitely have permissions to write to that directory.
    Following the advice in my previous threads, I tried some new JDBC Url values. Here are the results:
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/MONEY.xml&s=MONEY&rt=MONEY&ro=false
    This gives me a "Successful Connection", however when I try to add a New Model and Reverse it, it does not generate any data. (Sometimes this gives me an error, other times it seems to "work" but generates no data/tables).
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/MONEY.xsd&s=MONEY&f=../demo/xml/MONEY.XML
    This gives me the following error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/Money.xsd
    This gives me the following error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1
    Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I even tried following Sai Praneeth's example (from my Re: New ODI User having trouble creating an XML Data Source... thread) with his exact simple xml file, and that works fine. Is there something wrong with my XSD file? ANY help would be appreciated, as I'm completely lost. Thank you.

    I have some Interface Mapping questions I was hoping someone could help me with. As you know, my source is an XML File and my target is an OracleDB. I'll start with the "EFFECTIVEDATE" field which was automatically mapped when I added the Source and Target Datastores. As I previously mentioned, this caused an error "Target Column EFFECTIVEDATE: Data may be truncated: the target Column is smaller than the source Column". After looking further into it, would the problem be that the "EFFECTIVEDATE" datatype in the XML is "DATETIME" whereas the "EFFECTIVEDATE" datatype in the database is "TIMESTAMP"? If so, what would be the fix for this? Could I convert it in the Implemenation Mapping like so? -
    CONVERT(MONEY.EFFECTIVEDATE,TIMESTAMP)
    Would using that in the Implementation simply do the trick?
    Anyway, moving onto some of the other TARGET fields...
    -ACTIVITYGUID
    This should be an automatically generated new GUID value. How could I implement this into the Implementation?
    -TRANSACTIONGUID
    I'll need to query some of the other tables in the database in order to get this value. Is this allowed in the Implemenation? Do I have to add said tables to the target somehow? Can I just query the other tables in the Implementation field using normal select statements, etc.? I'm a bit confused on how this would work...
    -TYPECODE
    This needs to be a fixed value of '01'. How do I simply do that in the Implementation?
    The other fields will all be implemented similar to the above so those are the main questions I have for now. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Delete schema based xml fails

    I am attempting to delete xml files through the following command:
    delete from
    (select 1 from resource_view
    where UNDER_PATH(res, '/home/user1/forms', 1) = 1
    order by depth(1) desc);
    /home/user1/forms contains over 200,000 schema-based xml documents that I wish to drop. The schema-based documents previously were loaded properly and showed 0kb size. Their contents are accessible from views and can be used in sql statements.
    The command has been running over 24 hours with the server's cpu maxed at 100%. The server is Windows Server 2003 and the database is 9.2.0.4. There are no relevant invalid objects in the database.
    Could the command be failing (or simply taking a really, really long time) because I should not have loaded all the forms into a single folder? I have been able to run the above command on folders with 5 or ten xml documents in them.

    Hi people,
    Our results (YMMV - and if it does then tell us how) made us VERY reluctant to drop structures that weren't empty - period.
    Try it for yourselves but our experience was basically any live dropping of XML schema structures has a fairly good chance of being incomplete or not allowing the same schema to be reconstituted in a lights-out environment... (ie. didn't completely remove types / tables from dictionary so we got "<name> already exists" errors on schema re-registration, requiring an instance restart - but with no guarantees ).
    BTW : DELETE FROM gives MASSIVE amounts of redo ...and takes MASSIVE amounts of time with the hierarchy triggers enabled [I suspect the moderately evil UNDER_PATH operator is hidden in the delete hierarchy trigger] (hence the copy out stuff to be kept - then TRUNCATE option).
    And with schema mapped hierarchy enabled structures - dropping the tables left dangling pointers from the resource entry to the now non-existent schema table structures. These dangling pointers destroyed access to that set of resources (and any resources PAST evaluation of those rows in RESOURCE_VIEW [a previous rant of mine on "exception objects" explains why]. (Until a dbms_xdb.deleteresource( <path>, dbms_xdb.*force) was used on each resource).
    So to update or extend our hierarchy enabled schema our recipe became :
    Disable receiver processes
    Disable hierarchy triggers
    for r in
    ( select *
    from resource_view r
    where r.any_path like || '<app_root>/%'
    order by instr( r.any_path, '.' ) desc
    -- hack to delete files before folders
    loop
    dbms_xdb.deleteresource(
    r.any_path,
    dbms_xdb.delete_resource
    end loop;
    Delete the rows from the xml type tables. (TRUNCATE each table from bottom up).
    Drop the schema with dbms_xmlschema.delete_invalidate;
    Drop all xml related user types and tables (by naming convention in our XML Schema xdb:SQLType* / xdb:SQLName* attributes).
    Register new schema and transform / insert stored XML values into tables again.
    NOTE : In our case we copy those rows / resources we need to keep to other CLOB based structures first and reconstitute them after the schema is back - thankfully our profile allows this.
    Hope this helps,
    Lachlan

  • Create jms queue xml data server

    Hi,
    What's the difference between jms queue and jms queue xml data servers and how to create jms queue xml data server.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    JMS messages can principally be processed by Oracle Data Integrator in two formats:
    - JMS Messages: containers for rows of data, handled through JMS Queue/JMS Topic Technologies. With JMS Queue/JMS Topic technologies, each JMS destination is defined similarly to a flat file datastore. Each message in the destination is a record in the datastore.
    - XML Messages: containers for XML files, handled through JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic Technologies. With JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic technologies, each messages payload contains a complete XML data structure. This structure is mapped into a relational schema (XML Schema) which appears as a model. This use the Oracle DI Driver for XML (see the driver documentation in Oracle DI documentation).
    Find below a step by step creation process for such a destination:
    1. Data Server
    To create a JMS XML Queue data server, you declare a simple JNDI connection. The only JMS XML specific information is added to the URL. This information defines the XML file format.
    The JNDI URL should be : <JMS_RESOURCE>?d=<DTD_FILE>&f=<XML_FILE>&s=<SCHEMA>&JMS_DESTINATION=<JMS_DESTINATION_NAME>
    - JMS_RESOURCE: JNDI resource corresponding to your JMS queue that will contain the XML payload. You would specify this URL if you were managing normal JMS messages.
    - DTD_FILE: path to a DTD file that describes the XML structure. Mandatory if the parameter XML_FILE is omitted.
    - XML_FILE: path to the XML file with a structure similar to the expected XML messages. Mandatory if the DTD_FILE parameter is omitted.
    - SCHEMA: schema name that will contain the XML structure. This value must match the one set for the physical schema attached to this data server. This parameter is mandatory.
    - JMS_DESTINATION_NAME: name of the JMS queue or topic. This parameter is mandatory.
    2. Schema
    Creation is straightforward: In the Schema (Schema) and Schema (Work Schema), enter the name of the <SCHEMA> defined in the data server JNDI URL.
    3. Model
    Use standard reverse-engineering. As the Oracle DI Driver for XML is used the XML structure will be reversed as a relational structure.

  • Are JDev9i UIX and BC4J application server dependent?

    Are UIX and BC4J application server dependent?
    If I use JDeveloper9i to build an application using UIX XML + BC4J + Java, then can this be deployed on IBM Websphere, Web Logic, Oracle 9iAS, etc...?

    BC4J and UIX are not tied to any application server. They are "just" a collection of jar files that you can deploy to any application server.
    Check out the how-to section to see the doc about deploying BC4J to other application servers at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/howtos/content.html
    (more info in the online help).
    Also check out otn's home page later today for a daily feature about BC4J openness.

    RK,
    With no details of how you configured the XML server, what were the parameters used in the configuration for using external database, etc, I dont know how much can someone help you.
    This is an Oracle error, so a few things that could be problematic with your "big" xml -
    1.) An element name could be of length > 30 characters (Oracle table name length limit is 30)
    2.) There are some special characters in the element name
    3.) Element name begins with a Number
    4.) Element name is an Oracle reserved word.
    This list can go on.

  • Got error: Location Code is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server

    Hi,
    When I perform Compliance rule screening on GTM - Globel Trade Management,that I defined GTM as an Trading Partner on EBS R12.1.3,
    GTM can send response to EBS,but I see the following error message via Transaction Monitor on EBS workflow:
    [The Standard:OAG, Transaction Type:ITM , Transaction SubType:EXPORT_COMPLIANCE and Location Code GTM6.2 is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server. Pls check your Setup.]
    On EBS,I defined an ITM Partner for GTM,named 'GTM6.2',according to the document created by you: ITM Setup.doc
    and I also finished the following steps:
    1. ITM Application Users
    2.ITM Partner Service Types
    3.ITM Parameter Setup
    4.Order Type Creation: ITM Only
    5.Customer Creation: create a customer named 'GTM6.2', also enter 'GTM6.2' as EDI Location
    6.Define Transactions on XML Gateway as following:
    <Header>:
    Party Type: Customer
    Transaction Type: ITM
    Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLIANCE
    <External Transactions (Lines)>:
    Standard Code: OAG
    External Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
    Queue: APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q
    7.Define Trading Partners on XML Gateway as following:
    <Header>:
    Trading Partner Type: Customer
    Trading Partner Name: GTM6.2
    <Trading Partner Details>:
    Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
    Map: WSHITEIN
    Source Trading Partner Location Code: GTM6.2 (same as the value what defined in EDI Location for customer)
    I think the combination of External Transaction Type, External Transaction Subtype, Standard Code,Source Trading Partner Location Code
    should be existing once done above steps, I have no idea why the error prompted.
    Does someone can tell how to trace the error?
    Thanks,
    Rambler
