While viewing images specifically, those used in a java based hover popup, I see an outlined box covering a large portion of the screen. The hover works like this - mouse-over icon expands view. Click-on opens larger image in new window. It's when returning from that window, there is now a large outlined box starting from the corner of the icon and covers one-third of the screen. Choose another image and that outline moves to that image.
Today, after a year of trying to get rid of thei problem, an Aperture "Craetive" at the Apple store found a way to correct it after contemplating it for about 15 seconds.
Here is the remedy:
To get rid of it, select image(s), go to Photo in the menu bar, hold down Option key, click on Generate Preview in the drop down menu. Wait for it to finish processing - a few seconds. Done.

.... the Infamous Green tint that invades the screen, is still there on a whole lot of images - not all, a problem which occurs while images are loading to the screen for viewing. And it's on both the iMac whee it started, and the Macbook.

Is it possible to view photos on a computer screen immediately after while I'm shooting.
Is it possible to view photos on a computer screen immediately after while I'm shooting? I have the cord to attach camera to laptop, but have not been able to view until I do a download. My camera is a Rebel XT 350D.
Thanks TerriIt is possible. I do it at every shoot I do that involves big groups because the bigger screen (17" laptop) shows whether everyone is in a good pose.
It is called "tethered capture". I use Adobe Light Room 5. Attach a USB cable, start LR and select Tethered Capture. From there it is automatic and everything the camera sees, your laptop does. This method, which may not be the only way, also saves a copy to my laptop.
There are also powered USB cables which allow you to move the laptop up to 70 feet away. If that was needed of course but active USB cable are good for shorter distances because they are more error free and very fast.
BTW, LR5 is a pretty nice post processing, professional level, program for the rest of your image requirements.

Giving JAVA(nullpointException) error while viewing offering details

I have created the offering uing API (OTA_OFFERING_API). It got created successfully, but while viewing newly created offering's details from Apllication it is giving a java error as below.
Please suggest if any setup or role is needed or it is tecnical error.
Error is => oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException

While viewing web sites the screen suddenly jumps like it is resizing itself. Doesn't matter what site I'm on. Also I have to click links/back button at least 2 times to get it to respond. This has been happening ever since the last update.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Just 4 days after having my i6 set up my screen orientation while viewing my pictures and videos has gone sideways or upside down , seems random. Anyone know of a fix?? Just discovered that it won't rotate as expected in other apps either.
Im having a similar issue with my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8. My issue is with the home screen and text screen being stuck and or freezing in place. The home screen will flip upside down and stay that way and with my messages if I rotate the phone in landscape view it sometimes stays stuck or freezes in that view. I have to turn my phone off and on to get it back to normal.
I also contacted apple support and they advised me to do a fresh restore which I did with iOS 8 but it still happened shortly after. Apple said that if the problem persists to bring it to an apple store for repair or replacement. Im thinking its a software issue because when I researched it on the internet it appears people with iPhone 5's and 5s's are experiencing the same or similar issues and orientation freezes. I just recently upgraded to iOS 8.0.2 and will monitor it and see if the issue was fixed. So fingers crossed that iOS 8.0.2 fixes it. -

'09 MBP with some odd screen anomalies
My MBP has some odd screen anomalies. They appear as small blotches of greyness and can only be seen clearly on a white background and when the backlight is bright. When viewed from a viewing angle almost parallel with the screen, one can clearly see the overall shape. They exist in an almost perfectly round ring around the center of the display with an average diameter of about 2.5 inches. The greyness is thickest on the top half of the ring. There is a distinct spot about half an inch above center and the lower semicircle is filled with random grey dots. It looks like, of all things, the Death Star if looked at straight on, or as if someone used the screen as a cupholder.
It doesn't look like image persistence or dead pixles. The anomaly does not move around or change colors, nor does it appear to get any better or worse with time.
I have no idea where it came from or why...
Anyone have any ideas?

/Tychodo a pram reset http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379 and then try verifying your icc color profiles with colorsync utility (verify and repair) found in your utlities folder in the applications folder.
This sounds hardware related though and you should take it in to an apple specialist. sounds like a ball hit it or someone punched it and the LCD is broken. can you still see it when you turn the screen/computer off?) -

Firefox saves images to wrong location, but only when using "View Image"
For a while, I have had the problem above. I can save images just fine if I don't use the "view image" function first, with the images going to the intended folders.
Just to clarify, unlike some of similar problems I have seen described here, I am perfectly happy with Firefox remembering where I wish my pictures to go, on a site to site, or model to model (within the same site) basis.
The problem lies in that if I use the "view image" function, either in a new tab, or in the existing one, Firefox will often prompt me to save in a random folder where I have previously saved a picture. It will even suggest folders that I have not accessed for days.
Example:
I save image A to folder A, by right clicking the image and selecting "save image as".
I then (immediately after this), right click image A again, select "view image", then right click the resulting picture, and select "save image as". Now there is a fine chance that it want me to save the image to some other (previously used) image folder, even if I have not used the folder for a while, and even though I have just saved the same image to folder A.
This problem persists with multiple image file types, on multiple sites (I just tried it with someones avatar in this forum, and it wanted me to put it with my holiday pictures from 3 weeks ago).

FYI; If I "one-click" a file (like an mp4) to download it, it goes to my main / default download folder as normal.This is because Firefox will track where you have saved images or other files from the website domain. Then whenever you select to save the file to your computer, Firefox will start the Save As wizard in the latest folder that you have used last time.
Here is an example:<br>
If you save an image from the domain <code>123.com</code> into the folder <code>123</code> it will save there. Then you save an image from the domain <code>456.com</code> to the folder <code>456</code>. Next you save a different image from the domain <code>123.com</code>. The save as wizard will assume that you want to save it with the other image from that domain and will automatically start in the <code>123</code> folder.<br>
This can make saving files faster and more organized, however not everyone wants this feature enabled.
To disable this feature you can do the following:
#Go to <code>about:config</code> in Firefox
#Locate the <code>browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite</code> string
#Change the value to <code>false</code>
This should fix the issue, but please report back if it doesn't. -
What do I do to view images on CS5-64 when it will not open them?
The program will not open images, either directly or from Bridge. Using Win 7 on a Dell PC.
Strange, after rebooting, both Ph CS5 and Bridge are working again. Thanks for getting with me.

Unable to view images in the crystal reports on a jsp
Hi folks,
I am unable to view any image (not even the ones like businessobjects logo) in the crystal reports fetched from the CMS. I am able to fetch the report properly. But I don;t get to see the images in the reports.
If anyone of you know how to fix it. Kindly post it. It's urgent.
PS: It would be great if you could kind of share a check list of things that need to be taken care of while viewing a crystal report with images.Hi Suresh,
Please check that you have crystalreportviewers11 (for version XI) or crystalreportviewers115 ( for version XI R2) folder in your BO installation and your web.xml has correct reference to it. You can copy this folder over in your web application and
Add an entry in web.xml as follows ( if it doesn't exist)

</context-param>
crystalreportviewers11\115 have images folder which contain all the images for Logo and toolbar. Check the images folder in viewers and make sure that they exist.

XML Publisher error while viewing a report
I get the following error while viewing a report I have just written using a data template:
The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator.
I am using XML Publisher 562 Enterprise.
The Data template I have loaded is as follows:

I only get the titles being printed but no errors i.e the select does not seem to retrieve data from the database(85 records in database). If I remove the where clause I get the same titles as per the template with no data(49089 records in Database).

Now it begs the question, is XML Publisher finicky about the syntaxes you can use inside the "sqlStatement" clause?
