Script for Portfolio PDF files

Hi,
I have a portfolio with several PDF XFA forms inside.
I want to set up a button so that when the user clicks it the PDF will
open in a new window (outside of the portfolio); Need help here!
lock some of the fields; Have this done with .access = "protected";
save the PDF locally; Done using app.execMenuItem("SaveAs")
I am having difficulty in scripting a solution like the standard button at the top right of the portfolio window: "Open .pdf file in a new window"
Any ideas?

what i would is, before the script place every single page of PDF file in the document, determine if the same page of the Pdf file is vertical or horizontal, to make the right section for the page.

This answer was not helpful. First of all, I could not find "tech specs"
anywhere on the Acrobat 11 homepage. And secondly I purchased this software
for the specific purpose of converting .pdf files to Word. It was only
after I had completed the purchase that I learnt that Acrobat does not
permit the conversion of .pdf files in Cyrillic to Word files in Cyrillic.
I feel that Acrobat should have provided this crucial information before I
allowed my credit card to be debited. That is why I am now asking for my
money back. But thanks for your attempt to solve my problem, even if it was
not successful.

Parameters for opening PDF files in a browser

I read some of the posts about making a text link from an html page to a specific location in a pdf document in the browser. I set up the parameters, as I understand it, according to the document "Parameters for Opening PDF Files." The result from my test took me to the top of page 1, not to the bookmark on page 3 that I specified. See the link below. What is wrong with the parameters?

I know one method to convert the sapscript to pdf file :
first generate a Spool Request for the required Sapscript
then goto transaction SP01 and copy the generated Spool Request number
now execute the SAP report RSTXPDFT4
here enter the copied Spool request number and the target directory into the parameters
execute the report
required pdf file will be generated into the target directory

In the old days when PDFs were only opened on desktops and only in Acrobat or Reader, scripting could fake security features and people were generally convinced. As there are so many ways to open a PDF without scripts ever being run (from mobile devices to in-browser display, or simply opening the file in Illustrator), none of that works anymore.

Install 3rd party PDF iFilter for index PDF file as attachment in e-mail (msg)

I have called Microsoft Permium Support, base on the reply, SharePoint 2013 does not support to index a PDF file attachment in E-mail (msg) except 3rd party iFilter installed. And they finally told me how to edit Windows Registry for install the Adobe iFilter.
But, the Adobe iFilter is too weak to call large PDF files. So, I would like to install and try the Foxit PDF iFilter, but I cannot find an installation guide for this 3rd party ifilter with SharePoint 2013.
Does anyone here have the experience for Foxit PDF iFilter with SharePoint 2013 can help me?
I am not sure it is bug or feature in SharePoint 2013, but in case I still have to install 3rd party iFilter for index PDF file. I have no idea what is the out of box pdf file indexing support for.

2. we need to install the foxit ifilter

Saving Password for a pdf file in HP Client Security Manager

Hello,
I want to save the password for a pdf file in the Password Manager of the HP Client Security Manager Software but the symbol for the entry of the password is not appearing on the top right of the screen. If I use the registered fingerprint a dialog opens where the Client Security Manager asks which account it should use to login. But i can't add a password for the file. The login for websites is perfectly fine.
Do you have any idea how to fix that?
Is there a way to manually enter password for files?

We do offer month-to-month subscriptions of Acrobat Pro and Standard, but I think you'd actually come out ahead with the annual PDF Pack subscription, if you planned on combining files more than 3-4 times throughout the year.

a basic, internally developed API for creating PDF files, but would like some additional
capabilities ... in particular the ability to add a watermark that appears when printing
but not when viewing PDF files on-line.

OK, with a little bit of searching on Adobe's web site, I found the answer to my question.   Yes, Adobe does offer
an API for creating/manipulating/reading PDF files: it's called the Adobe PDF Library SDK and it has to be
licensed. Version 9 is the latest.   The cost is decided on a case-by-case basis.    Here is the link:

    I want to write a shell script for piking the files in a sequence order (according to filename with time stamp) from the sorce FTP server ..
                 Requirement is in the source directory I'm getting files (Jain_1.xml , Jjain_2.xml, Jain_3.xml .. ect..) at present my file adapter is picking all the files at a time but i want to pick one by one... that to first i want to Jain_1.xml after finish the processing of the file then only my file adapter should pick the next file ( Jain_2.xml ) .
              so.. all the forum mates suggest me to write a shell script.. but where i have to write the s hell script. and where i have to deploy this script.... my Xi is running on UNIX ... so please sugest me the procedure ...

Okular freezes for some pdf files

My problem is that Okular freezes for some pdf files, the problem is NOT related to how big files are, or how many pics/raster in them. I have many pdfs that exceeds 90 MB and run smoothly. Moreover, I have also many large djvu files that run smoothly. Evince runs all files smoothly as well. I have the latest stable okular with the latest stable poppler versions as of today.
Okular freezes in a somewhat weird way, if I go down from page x to x+1 in contiuous mode, It freezes when I reach the gray bar that spearates the 2 pages, when I want to go back to page x from page x+1, which it is supposed to be cached and should load smoothly, Okular also freezes at the same place.
My problem happens with small books having almost all text, and also happens with scanned books. The weird thing is that some other scanned books and some other all-text pdfs, e.g. academic papers, runs smoothly.

Sounds like a bug. Try to report it to the bug tracker and be sure to add a file that shows the problem so that the devs can backtrace it.
