Script to Multiple computer accounts to existing SCCM collection

Hi,
I am looking for a script to add multiple computers to a existing SCCM collection. But unable to find a proper one. Below link is talking about the same, but unable to find the script.

Please suggest,
Thanks,

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
Take a look at the CM07 SDK for this type of thing.

  • Mac OS X maintenance scripts and multiple user accounts

    Hi everyone
Just wondering how the default maintenance scripts scheduled to run in the early morning works with multiple user accounts. Our Macs at home all have multiple user accounts (one for each of us) and I'm wondering whether the scripts work their magic across all accounts (assuming the computer itself is switched on AND not asleep).
Also, is the behaviour the same regardless of Mac OS X version? More specifically we're using snow leopard, lion, mountain lion, and maybe shortly mavericks.
    Thanks!
    Joe.

The maintenance scripts run by periodic perform system tasks. They do nothing in a user's account (unless you modify the scripts or create your own). They are primarily designed for long lived systems (servers). There isn't any magic nor would a normal mac users find any differences whether they ran or not.
In all the operating system versions that you mention, the scripts will run when the computer wakes, assuming that the computer was turned on before the prescribe times.

  • Sharing library between multiple Computer accounts

I have 2 users on my computer, with equal access. When I use the primary account, the iTunes functions normally. I placed the iTunes music library in the shared file.
The other account cannot access the library without manually importing the songs, and this obviously is not updated when I buy/import new songs as the primary user.
Any way to have the second user able to access the same library as the primary?
    Thanks in advance.
      Windows XP

(As long as we don't take the laptops on vacation and leave the external drive behind...)
In those cases just copy the Domain.sites2 file to the laptop and run it from there while you're on the road. When you get home move it back to the external HD replacing the one there.
Using it on the iDisk would be glacially slow.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Powershell Script to delete ADComputer Accounts

    Hi There,
I have this script which deletes a computer account from AD if found but my problem now is it throws an error " Cannot find an object property " if the account doesnt exist. I read somewhere of using the try catch and others saying its not
advisable within a if else block.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
    #Script to Delete Computer Accounts.
$CptName = Read-host "Which computer accounts do you want to delete"
    #Get-Adcomputer $CptName
    If ($cptName -eq $Null)

    Else
     Remove-ADComputer -Identity $CptName
Write-host "This computer accounts has been successfully deleted"

    Thx for the help link.
Finally got it to work by using the try catch
    Code is:
    try
$CptName = Read-host "Which computer accounts do you want to delete"
       Remove-ADComputer -Identity $CptName
Write-host "This computer accounts has been successfully deleted"

  • Joining to domain on same computer account name

    Hi,
I have a critical server. I need to reinstall it with clean installation an same name. I don't have permissions to delete computer account from AD, but I have permissions to add to domain. If I remove server from domain reinstall it and will join to domain
with same name. Does this can cause any issues? Do I have to delete server computer account before joining to domain?
    thank you,

    Hi
If you are reinstalling server and do not want to delete the existing computer account, you'll get error "Computer account usually exists already, and security on that account does not allow you to join — usually because the computer was joined
previously by using different computer account credentials."(Assuming you did not joined it to domain in present case). So you must first delete the existing account or get full permissions on the account.
If you receive the error "Failure to create a computer account," it usually means that either the account already exists or that there are insufficient access rights available to the user who is trying to join. Table 10.8 shows the error codes
    that come under this category.

  • Many UnApproved and Duplicated Computer Accounts

    Hello everybody,
I wish that everything is great for you!
I have a client with a problematic ConfigMgr 2012 R2 RTM environment, among the different problems the two big ones (and the ones that I think if resolved the resolving of the remaining would be easy) are:
1- Most of the computer accounts that had the client installed and were working probably, suddenly become Unapproved. the customer deployed Symantec EndPoint Protection since two weeks, the Symantec policy has no changes to the firewall and he didn't change
    any firewall rules since.
today, while troubleshooting the agent still exist on the machine but with only two actions and the status on the ConfigMgr Console differ from Active and unapproved to No Client. the only solution that worked for me is to manually approve the computer then
push the agent to it. this method worked on two test computers, before I go further I just wanted to know why this happen.
Note: the manual approve then push the agent happened while Symantec inplace and the agent installed successfully.
I tried the clientlocation, locationservices, clientstartupIDmanager, and CCMEXEC log files and they all clear.
2- the second problem is that the customer have about 30 duplicated computer (names), I tried the different solution s I've found on the internet, and no one worked for me, even the delete of all records regenerate 2 accounts with the same name, also tried
to delete the one with the old discovery date, or the one with no client and also the deleted record comes back again
3- the third issue wich i think is related to the second one is that computer accounts that exist on the ConfigMgr but have been deleted from the AD and DNS, after manully deleting those records from the ConfigMgr they appear again
    thanks in advanced.

Check that from Symantec you've excluded the proper ConfigMgr client directories, registry keys and services.
Another test, un-manage a few clients from Symantec and see if the problem persists.
Regarding the duplicate computer names, and DNS, check that you've got DNS scavenging enabled for DNS. For some background on that: https://stevethompsonmvp.wordpress.com/2015/02/25/configmgr-why-you-need-to-implement-dns-scavenging/

  • Can you now have multiple Itunes accounts sharing content on one computer?

Hi - I was trying to find this information on line but cannot.
The last "big" Itunes update (11.2?) prevented multiple Itunes accounts from sharing content on one computer.  Well, you can, but with consequences. For example, my husband purchased a movie rental with his Itunes account on our computer when he logged on to Itunes, but then I could not download any Itunes content for 30 days when I logged on to my account. I no longer purchase any content from Apple because of this. I was hoping this feature has been discontinued – it prevents households from purchasing Itunes.  We never pirate or steal any content at all. In fact, this feature forces us out of the Itunes universe to purchase movie rentals and music elsewhere.
Not just trying to complain, really. Legitimately want to find out if this rights policy still exists before we both try to rent or purchase anything from Itunes.
    Thanks.

"Won't it present problems if the daughter needs to reauthorize the computer for her own use before 90 days,"
No. The 90 day limit ONLY applies to redownloading purchases from iTunes..
So if she were to redownload purchases from the father's account then she'd have to wait 90 days to redownload form her own account. and the computer can be authorized for multiple iTunes account (pretty sure it's 5) . You don't need to later reauthorize for first account if you authorize for a different account.

  • Merge iweb sites from multiple user accounts on same computer

With the previous iweb version, my children created their own iweb sites on their own users, but all under my own .mac account. It worked great.
But now with the new "upgraded" iweb '08, that isn't allowed anymore.
So, I created a new user on our computer for all of us to use to maintain our multiple iweb accounts on.
How can I move multiple iweb sites from multiple users on the same computer into one user?

Each of the user's work in iWeb will be contained in a single file, Domain.sites2, which can be found in this location on the hard drive for each user account. You will need to copy all of these Domain.sites2 files to an external drive, or, at the very least, burn them to a disk to make them transferable from one user account to another. A flash drive also works great for this.
Once you have made all of these Domain files accessible from the new user account that you created, you will still have a formidable task ahead of you, i.e., publishing separate sites, from separate Domain.sites2 files, to the same .Mac account/directory. In other words, bringing all of these Domain files together for access by a single user account will not solve the problem. You may very well be able to solve the problem with things the way they are, but it will involve some shuffling of Site's files on the iDisk prior to publishing.
The method I'm going to give you has worked well for me. So far, here in the forums, I've read posts from (2) other users who were also successful. Conversely, I know of at least (3) other users who have been unsuccessful with this approach. I sure hope it works for you.
Open System Preferences and go to .Mac. Turn syncing off, if it is on, and leave it off.
Now, in Finder, navigate to the current Site files on your iDisk, following this path:
    Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/NameOfSiteFolder
Drag the Site folder that is named for your site, (not the directory Site folder), back one level on the iDisk, into the Web folder. This is where some run into difficulties--you may get an error message that the folder is "in use, and cannot be moved". I have never gotten this message, and am able to move my Site's folders around with no problem on the iDisk.
If you are successful moving the folder, choose one of your other accounts on your machine, launch iWeb, and Publish all to .Mac. The existing site on the server will not be deleted. Now, go back to the iDisk and move that site folder, (the one you just published), back one level, again, to the root Web directory. Publish your next site, from your next account.
When you are finished publishing sites, just move the Site folders back to their original location on the iDisk--Web/Sites/SiteFoldersHere. All sites will be accessible from a browser using the web.mac.com/username/nameofsite url.
It is important to use the Publish all to .Mac command in iWeb. A simple Publish to .Mac command will not put the correct index.html file in place on the server.
Post back and inform us of your success.
    -Mark

  • SCCM 2007 OSD to add computer account to domain

Running SCCM 2007 R2 OSD to add computer account to domain has always been working, until recently after I added Intel 217/218 NIC drivers to the PE boot image.
The task sequence "Apply Network Settings" runs successfully though. It broke other TS steps too, such as enabling BitLocker, because, I guess, if the computer is not domain-joined, it won't be able to write recovery key to AD. I can use the same

  • Multiple .Mac accounts, on one Admin account on one computer

    Hello all,
I am trying to have multiple .Mac accounts to publish independent iWeb websites on unique domains (the apple iweb provided ones) but it appears I can only have one .Mac account on my computer's network user to do the easy one click Publish button to.
I don't want to use multiple user accounts on my computer as I'd like to have access to all my photos, music, videos and everything else and easily do so without logging out from my main account.
    What am I missing?
    Many thanks,
    Michael

The only safe and easy method is multiple user accounts.
You can easily store your iPhoto and music Libraries on an external drive and share them between accounts.

  • How do I manage multiple Iphone accounts on one computer

My wife desperaely needed to back up her iPhone (been over teo years).  I didn't want to do this given that she woulde lose two years worth of data, but we decided to plow ahead.  I hit the update button and was advised that there was an earlier backup from last fall.  I said I wated to use that back up.  Unfortunately it was a backup for my daughter's iphone 5c and now my wife's phone is simply a clone of the 5C.  What can I do to pul at least some of her account information back out and show her iPhone again on the devices list?

    It certainly is possible.
