  • How do I start the script for Photoshop CS6 in Bridge CS6 image processor ?

    I am new to Bridge and I am lookiing for a way to batch process images. I opened 'preferences' and did not find Photoshop CS6 under the script list. How do I open and run the image processor? Thanks for any help!!

    I have clicked on 'tools' within Bridge but there is no 'Photoshop' in the drop-down menu.
    Misread your post a bit and see you want the image processor, however, this should be in the same location as the Batch option. If you don't have Photoshop in that list it means the start up script is not active or not installed properly.
    First check Bridge preferences / Start up scripts and see if Photoshop is listed inhere and has a checkmark in front. If no checkmark then set it to on, restart Bridge and try again. If no Start upScript at all first try restart Bridge holding down option key (Mac) or ctrl (Win) and choose reset preferences.
    If still no luck try a reinstall of PSCS6 to also reinstall Bridge again. (you first have to uninstall PSCS6, be sure to have a back up of custom settings etc).

  • Bridge batch processing script for Photoshop stops after ten mins

    I have a javacript to help batch process collections of images in Bridge by sending them (in layers) to Photoshop CS5. It works perfectly, except it stops running after about ten minutes (around 6-10 images) so that I have to keep restarting the script. This behaviour has only started since the script was installed in the Bridge startup folder so that it could be started from the (right click) menu. The script does not seem to time out when run via ExtendToolkit.
    Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Thanks again Paul. Can I ask you where the best place to insert that would be? The script is below - I'm sure you'll recognise it :6).
    I've also been wondering if its possible to alter the script so that the files in bridge are opened in PS as Smart Objects (in layers)? There is a script 'Open as Smart Object in Layers' but I haven't been able integrate it into your fantastic script.
    #target bridge
    if( BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge" ) {
    processDocs = new MenuElement("command", "Process selected docs", "at the end of Thumbnail");
    processDocs.onSelect = function () {
    var sels = app.document.selections;
    var selectedFiles = new Array();
    for(var a in sels){
        selectedFiles.push(sels[a].spec);
          if(selectedFiles.length> 1){

  • Cannot use new fill pattern scripts for Photoshop CC 2014.2

    I have installed Photoshop CC 2014.2 (2014.2.0 Release), but am unable to get the new Fill pattern scripts to work or even show up in the UI. Namely, I am referring to the Flame, Picture Frame, and Tree scripted patterns described here: https://www.adobe.com/technology/projects/DecoScriptedPatternsInPhotoshop.html
    This is what my Fill dialog looks like:
    I have confirmed that the corresponding presets exist in the Photoshop CC 2014 > Presets > Deco folder:
    I have tried resetting Photoshop's preferences; and while everything was reset, the missing presets still failed to appear.

    If you are talking about CC 2014 and not CC, have you updated to

  • PS Express Looks for Photoshop CC?

    There are some very interesting predefined "looks" that come with the PS Express app for iOS and Android...I was just wondering if these "looks" are available anywhere as Actions or some kind of script for Photoshop on the desktop?

    Welcome to the forum.
    As Photoshop Express is a Web-based editing application, I would anticipate (I have not used it, but only read of it) that there WILL be differences. As Ps Express is designed for the very casual user, I would guess that some of its capabilities are more related to the consumer program, Photoshop Elements.
    However, others, much more familiar with Ps Express, can probably give you something more than guesses and assumptions.
    Good luck,

  • Script to open images using bridge for photoshop

    hi,
    i am looking for photoshop script to open set of selected images using bridge into photoshop and handle those images into a layers for the active document.

    I'm not 100% sure what you are looking for, but this is not the best forum to be looking. You either want the Bridge scripting forum, or the Photoshop one:

  • I have two script. one for indesign and another for photoshop. how can i merge both scripts?

    hi all,
    i have one script for indd which convert a user selected table as JPG (1276 px width, height varies). Second photoshop script which ask user to select jpg file and then check if pixel height is less than 1018 pixel, then it enlarge canvas size(height) to 1018 px.
    how can i combine both script, any tip or how to start would be helpful? The workflow should be:
    user select the table in indd document
    table export as jpg
    script will ask to select table jpg file or if it can be automated too that would be good.
    enlarge canvas height to 1018 px
    thanks
    virender
    PS: i already read the Java scirpt tool guide pdf but unable to understood

    Hi,
    I see two possible approaches here. The most logical would be to use a BridgeTalk Object that let you execute another app js code inside yoru primary app. In your case, you start your script from within InDesign and at some point the Photoshop specific script is executed thanks to the BridgeTalk Object.
    Other option is to use either AppleScrip or VB to execute the codes while targeting the specific app.
    Eventually, you may have your PS code in some external file and call $.evalFile when of course the file has a target instuction as Peter exposed.
    Once again, I think what you need is BridgeTalk.
    FWIW,

  • Reworking Photoshop layer renaming script for Illustrator

    The Photoshop scripting guru Paul R over at RetouchPro has created a really cool script to batch rename and number selected Photoshop layers. I haven't found anything similar on the Illustrator side.
    He's given permission for me to post it here in my hopes that some Illustrator scripting genius could come up with a similar script for Illustrator. Would it be terribly difficult to convert this into something Illustrator could use?

  • Photoshop script for Expand/Contract of Selection

I mean I would like to use this options because I use it very often but I would like without dialog box when PS ask for value of expand/contract. we want to warm up https site which is based on sharepoint 2010.
    When we run some sample powershells it shows access forbidden error so we are not able to warm up https site.
    Its slow on first load so need some warmup script for https sites.

    Just ensure that the service account that you use to trigger the Powershell scripts has access to IIS and SharePoint.  Most often, the SharePoint Farm account would be used for scheduling the warm up scripts on the WFE server.
    I trust that answers your question...

  • Could someone please sketch out this simple script for me?

    Could someone please sketch out a simple java script for me. I will have a document with one background
    layer and a layer set (group) called "Analyze" that consists of 63 adjustment layers. The layer names in that "Analyze" group(folder) will be
    "01" ...through "63" with 01 on the bottom and 63 at the top. Initially, all of the adjustment layers will be invisible and  the
    group will be closed (not expanded). I need a simple  script that will check for the first invisible layer in that group
    and make it visible without selecting that layer nor expanding the group. The script has to check
    for the first invisible layer every time it runs because other actions may have turned off a layer in the set.
    The point of this is so I can hotkey flipping on the layers one at a time without expanding the set or
    changing focus off the  background. It seems it should be a simple loop, but I just can't wrap  my head
    around all the objects (e.g. Layer as opposed to Layers  and  Artlayer as opposed to Artlayers)
    and the constants constants.
    for (i = 63; i>0; i--){                 /* I have found layer indexes 0 are the topmost layer */
      if( layerset[i] == INVISIBLE){
               layerset[i] = VISIBLE;
                  break;
    Could someone please write me a simple script that would do this?
    Edit I found this and its very close to what I need:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    for(var i = 0 ; i < doc.layers.length;i++){
      doc.layers[i].visible = (i % 2 == 0);
    From here : Function to show/hide layer with Photoshop script (JSX) - Stack Overflow
    In my case I would rewrite it to this
    for(var i = 62; i >=0; i--){
         if(  !doc.layers[i].visible){
              doc.layers[i].visible =TRUE;
              break;
    My problem is I just need  to traverse the layers in my layerset "Analyze"
    How do  I reference just those? Is there a doc.layersets["Analyze"].layers[i].visible = TRUE?
    Message was edited by: Shawn Laughlin To add more information

    Well this works:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var analyze = doc.layerSets.getByName("Analyze").layers
    for(var i = 62 ; i >= 0; i --){
        if (!analyze[i].visible){
            analyze[i].visible =1;
            break;
    Hard to believe TRUE is not a constant in java.

  • How do I localize text strings in the javascriptresource section i a Javascript for Photoshop?

    I have made a javascript for photoshop. I am using the <javascriptresource> and <terminology> tags to make the script to work with actions. How do I make the textstrings within the <javascriptresource> section local (translated)? The localize function and other ways to localize text that I described in the documentation do not work.

    I recommend that you post your question in the scripts forum as this forum is meant for beginners. It is not that we won't help, it is that we may not beable to provide the best help. Good luck, I hope you can figure it out.

  • Indesign Contact Sheet script for Adobe Bridge 1.0.4.6

    Our company currently has all the Adobe CS2 products but as stand alone applications and not part of the Creative Suite. Therefore, we don't seem to have all the functionality of the suite.
    In particular the script to create Contact Sheets from Indesign CS2 of items through the script in Adobe Bridge.
    Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add the functionality of the contact sheet script for Indesign to Bridge without having the Adobe Creative Suite? And Why?
    We are looking for something to replace an extension used by Quark to create contact sheets from Badia software. I am loath to upgrade this extension unless absolutely necessary. We receave thousands of photo's a week and output contact sheets for our editors to pick and choose which photos they want/like.

  • How can I edit a droplet for Photoshop 6?

    How can I edit a droplet for Photoshop 6? The company hired somebody to set up the droplet years ago, and nobody remembers how it was set up. The computer that was used to save the files has crashed, and I need to change the path the droplet uses for saving the files. I tried to open the droplet with Image Ready, but it said it was not an image ready droplet and could not be opened. The computer running Photoshop is using Windows XP.

    It seems that the script on the ps scripts page is to old to work in cs5.
    This is a lnk to xtools 1.8 which has the latest version of the droplet decompiler:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/ps-scripts/files/xtools/
    Just unzip, find the Apps folder and look for the DropletDecompiler.jsx.
    Then put your droplet on the desktop, Use File>Scripts>Browse in cs5 to navigate to the DropletDecompiler.jsx.
    Here's an example using the Aged Photo.exe droplet from the ps 6 samples folder:
    here's the resulting action opened in cs5:
