Scroll bar hides bottom of JTree

I have a dialog with a JTree in a JScrollPane and it's possible to have the dialog at just the right size that the scroll pane becomes confused. Both scroll bars are displayed and when I try to scroll down to the bottom of the tree, the scroll pane keeps resetting itself so that the horizontal scroll bar covers the bottom of the tree. If I want to see the bottom of the trr, I must resize the dialog. I looked in the bug database but didn't find anything similar to this problem.
Ken

It's not that the vertical scrollbar is the wrong size. It's that the VSB's thumb won't stay all the way at the bottom. Instead, it springs back to a position approx. halfway. The problem occurs when there's enough text in a tree entry to force the display of the HSB and the VSB's thumb is all the way at the bottom. I can't include a screen shot here as the boss doesn't want to have to mess with proprietary info and non-disclosure agreements, so I hope the description I gave is sufficient.

Okay, I will answer my own question in case anyone else sees the problem.
When I am viewing my large catalog with only three thumbnails across in LR, I lose the little button to slide up and down. When I change Grid View to show four or more thumbnails, the button reappears. I'd suggest this is a bug needing fixing.

  • Help with code for inserting horizontal scroll bar in photo gallery in Business Catalyst site?

    Hi,
I am using Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver to create a trial site.
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this request but anyway I have inserted a photo gallery module at the bottom of the sidebar in the homepage of my test site.
Can anyone advise on whether jquery or any other code can be inserted into the page or module code that will replace the "next" hyperlink below the first 4 photos with a horizontal scroll bar at bottom of the gallery so users can just scroll through all 12 images ?
    Kind Regards, Matt.

    Alyssa,
Have you tried putting this rule back as it was originally:
/* Submenu that is showing with class designation MenuBarSubmenuVisible, we set left to auto so it comes onto the screen below its parent menu item */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        left: auto; /*was 9px*/
        color: #EF9CCF;
        background-color: #FFF;
That is, changing your 9px back to auto.
And giving  us a link (as you did) is much better than printing out the code for us! Thanks!

  • Hide TextArea scroll bar

Has anyone found a way to hide, edit, alpha the scroll bar

I can hide the border, alpha the background, but no way to

It works perfectly other then the scroll bar flickering and

  • Remove/Hide scroll bars in scroll panes.

    Hi all,
I am pretty new to action script. I am building a photo gallery and I am loading the thumbnails from an XML file into a scroll pane dynamically. As the scroll pane fills up, it gets wider to accomodate the thumbnails. There is one row, and eventually, I want to have the user be able to mouse left or right and have the scroll pane scroll, versus clicking on the bar or the left/right arrows. However, in order to accomplish this, I need the scroll bars to disappear!
Is there anyway to either remove or hide both the x and y scroll bars on a scroll pane? My scroll pane is called: thumbPane.
    Thanks in advance!
    -Rob

    Hello friend,
first select scrollpane. Then open parameters panel (if dont know go to window > properties > paramiters ) turn to OFF HorizontalScrollPolicy  and verticalScrollPoliy then left and right scroll Bar will not display.
    THANKS.

  • How do I view the Horizontal Scrolling bar and status bar at the bottom of the screen. I can only see the top menus, toolbars and vertical scroll bar?

Before the most recent upgrade, the bottom horizontal scrolling bar and status bar appeared on my screen. Now since upgrading, I cannot see the. Anyone ideas how to restore them?

If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!
    Good luck & happy computing!

It's the issue of browser. There is no setting for it. most probably you are not using
separateFrame=Truein you formweb.cfg file. It's allow the applet opening in another window.
In you issue, may be you have toolbar visible in the browser. if you use the browser full screen you didn't get that.
    Hope this helps

  • Scroll bar hidden by Jtree.setPreferredSize()

After a lot investigation, I have found that using the method setPreferredSize() for a JTree object has a strange side effect. In fact the vertical Scroll bar does not display.

For what it is worth -- I've observed this on my project, too.
I just setPreferredSize on the JScrollPane that held the JTree, rather than on the JTree itself.

  • How can I hide horizontal scroll bar?

Some websites use CSS code (overflow-x: hidden or overflow-y:hidden), that shows the horizontal scroll bar while the frame on the website is centered and only 800 pixels wide, but I really don't need my horizontal scroll bar to show up. So how can I hide it?
    Thanks!

    If you use <b>overflow: hidden</b> then you shouldn't see a scroll bar (overflow:scroll does that).<br />
If that doesn't work then try to add the !important; or use the code in Stylish or to userContent.css in the chrome folder.

Hi. To remove the horizontal scrollbar you can do this:

To remove the vertical scrollbar you can do this:
    ScrollBar scrollBarv = (ScrollBar)ta.lookup(".scroll-bar:vertical");

  • Is there any way to hide or remove the scroll bars when programming?

I wish the vi which builded by app builder can display a interface without the scroll bars even before it runs. Thank you very much!

As was answered here, you can only hide the scoll bars when the VI is running. If you need to enter data or set options before running, then you should redesign the application with a "Go" button or a pop-up and not rely on the user to press the run arrow. Putting the controls inside a while loop would be sufficient and should be easy to do. It's that or live with visible scroll bars.

  • What happens when the scroll bar moves to the bottom by itself?

When I am browsing, the scroll bar moves downward all of sudden to the bottom of the arrow. When you click on the scroll bar to move the page back to the top, it automatically moves back the scroll bar back to the bottom of the page. I have tried reloading the page, going forwards and backwards, and refreshing the page but it still does this problem. The only way to fix this problem is you have to close Firefox and reopen the browser. Is there a solution?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The first two problems (box cycling from element to element on page, scroll bar returning to top) can be caused by a stuck (or defective) Tab key on the keyboard. Such damage can be caused by a liquid spill; just one tiny droplet is enough to short a wafer switch under one key.
The last issue (black box, white text - sounds sorta like a debugger window) I haven't seen, but could be caused by something similar.
To check for that, try using a different keyboard. If you're using a wireless keyboard, turn it off and see if the oddities stop.
