SCSM 2012 - creating incident from email - description issue

Hello, I have SCSM 2012 RTM and I am trying to use out-of-the-box create incident from e-mail functionality.
It is working but I have issue with description field of created incident- it comes with  the last part of the eml file.
Description field of Incident looks like :
-_000_47499D6C4A5DAE4EB0FF86A4F6184D7EFB0023D9ex2010mbx1podra_
Content-Dis; filename="winmail.dat"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 .....
I can not use Exchange Connector because I can not install SP1 for SCSM 2012 - Service Manager databases are on SQL 2008 - which is not supported for SP1 for SCSM 2012.
Any help is welcome.

Thanks for your reply, but my Service manager databases are on consolidated SQL 2008 SP2 cluster.
SQL 2008 SP2 is not supported for SCSM 2012 R2. Because on that SQL 2008 SP2 cluster are also other bussiness databases which has some compatibility issues  I can not do the upgrade to SQL 2008 R2.

  • Remove Templates from Create Incident From Template Selection

    Originally all users had access to all of the templates created, however now that we have been using SCSM for a while the number of templates created has started to grow and make the Create Incident From Template Screen difficult to navigate.  I am
    trying to limit the number of templates each team sees based on security group, however when I uncheck the templates from the Form Templates section of the User Role, they continue to display for all users.  Is there somewhere else I have to go in and
    change this that I am missing?

  • Create bookmarks from group tree issue

    Hello,
    I am the administrator of a calibration software that uses Crystal Reports as it's reporting engine. I currently have Crystal Reports XI Product Version 11.0.0.1282 installed on my computer.
    I designed a report last week and when I would export it to a pdf, either through Crystal Reports or through the calibration software, I would have an option allow me to create bookmarks from group tree. It worked great. I then sent this report to our field engineers with instructions on how to run it and no one was able to see the "create bookmarks from group tree" option. Why would this be?
    I thought it had something to do with not having the newest version of Crystal Reports so I tried to update the software from Help > Check for Updates. It searched for updates but then timed out and gave me a message that I was not connected to the internet even though I was. I then found my way to this site and downloaded "crxir2_sp4_full_build.exe".
    I tried to install this and everything was going good until I was prompted to locate the file CrystalReports.msi. I could browse to any location but by default it was trying to find it in my temporary internet files for my browser. I searched my computer and did not have this file. I checked the CD and found it on there. I copied it from the CD to my hard drive. I tried to run the installation again and when prompted for CrystalReports.msi, I pointed it to the location on my hard drive but the software would not accept it.
    I eventually canceled out of the install but every time I would launch Crystal Reports it would prompt me for the same file.
    This morning I uninstalled Crystal Reports XI from my machine, rebooted, and reinstalled it. Now when I try to export the report, either through Crystal Reports or through the calibration software, I do not have an option to allow me to create bookmarks from group tree. It has disappeared.
    So my questions are:
    1. How do I get the "create bookmarks from group tree" option back?
    2. How do I get the "create bookmarks from group tree" option to appear on my field engineer's computer when they run the report?
    3. Why was I not able to update my software? Was I doing something wrong?

    I never had version 11.5 installed but I had the create bookmarks option. I had version 11.0 installed and had the create bookmarks option.
    I'm still having problems installing Crystal Reports XI R2. It makes it through the entire installation and then a screen pops up telling me that it can not find "CrystalReports.msi". It is looking for this file in a temp file. I use the browse button and point it to the proper file location but it still won't accept it. The only thing I can do is exit out of the installation. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to do something special to upgrade Crystal Reports?

  • Firefox no longer creates hyperlinks from email addresses in my emails

    It used to be that when I created an email that contained an email address, the address would be displayed as a hyperlink. NOW the email address seems to be just text.
    I checked the same thing in IE and it still displays the email address as a hyperlink, so I assume the issue is with Firefox.

    Well I would assume the email you received from Apple explains why you can't.

  • SCSM 2012 Portal change from http to https to get silverlight to work on non domain computers?

    Wanting to change our Self Service Portal from http to https and make it accessible from non domain computers.
    Non domain computers - the sharpoint parts load (the silverlight does not load). Domain computers can access the portal with no problem.
    Does this mean I need to reinstall the portal or can it be changed while in operation now?
    Would something like the below link be enough to get https going?

    the silverlight part not loading due to SSL certification. import the certification into non domain computer will fix this issue.

  • Creating events from email links (datadetectors?)

    does anyone know how to format an email, so that the "datadetectors" feature offers to create an event with the correct subject as well as the time and date?
    For example, if i have the following in an email:
    15:00 - 17:00 6 August 2011 Preston v Colchester
    I get offered to create an event at the right time and date, but the event title is take from the subject line of the email, when I would want it to be
    "Preston v Colchester"
    Anyone cracked this one?

  • Creating PDFs from emails in Outlook 2013?

    Hello-
    Used to be able to compile emails into a single pdf document... I have updated my Adobe Acrobat, but that action isn't available in Outlook anymore (used to simply select the emails, right click and would be prompted to create as PDF)... am I missing something, or is this something in a pending update (if so, when?)

    I suspect your Acrobat is not compatible with OFFICE 2013 for the use of PDF Maker. In fact, I do not know if any Acrobat is certified yet. In any case, you have not mentioned your version of AA and that is likely the problem. Your only choice is likely to print the e-mails to the Adobe PDF printer. Whether that can be done with Outlook 2013 is something you will have to check.

    When I first installed Acrobat Pro 8, I was able to turn emails into PDFs. Now I cant. It has happened on two machines. Does it have anything to do with update? It it an issue anyone else is having?

  • Scsm 2012 - SQL reporting from business services

    when i process a report in SQL Reporting Services for Business Services - and many other configuration items - I put a column in the report for priority and when I output the report it appears as a number which is wrong.
    For example, I have in the pruiority field for business services a drop down of High, Medium and Low - when I output the report this value appears as a number rather than the work High, Madium or Low.
    Does anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed?

    It sounds like your Report showing the Priority ID rather than the Priority value.
    You need to add a JOIN Statement in your SQL query to join on the Priority ID from the ServiceDimvw to the Priority ID from the ServicePriorityvw.
    Something like this:
    SELECT DisplayName,
    Priority.ServicePriorityValue
    FROM ServiceDimvw
    LEFT OUTER JOIN ServicePriorityvw as Priority on ServiceDimvw.Priority_ServicePriorityId = Priority.ServicePriorityId

  • Creating PDF from jpegs - Scale issue!

    Hello,
    I have a series of envelope sized jpegs which i want to convert to pdf. However,when i convert the jpegs to pdf, the scale of the sheets becomes all screwed up (when i 100% zoom the pdf document, the sheets are tiny - way smaller than they were in jpeg format). Is there a way of converting my jpegs to pdf while still maintaining 1:1 scale? Im using Acrobat 8 Professional.
    Any help would be much appreciated!

    JPegs are often problems. You might try saving to TIFF instead, the standard for scanners.

  • Change Request from Email

    Is it possible to create CR from email? I need some operations convert to CR instead of incident, for examle i need such user requests like asking for new work plase or upgrage the computer to be CR at the begining when they send email, but now an incidents
    are created for such typical user requests by default.

    As far as I know it's not possible to create a change request by mail in SCSM 2010.
    In my opinion from the process perspective it didn't make sense to do that anyway:
    For a change request you need some more information like "which type of CR -> minor change, major change, ... Most of the users didn't know which type of CR is needed. Depending on the type of the CR there might be completly different activities behind
    a CR. E.g. also risk and impact of a change the users didn't know.
    For that reason I would always go for a process like this: User opens an incident by mail with his "wishes". Incident management process is deciding if the request should be handled as a change request and which type of change request would
    fit. Incident management opens a corrosponding and related change request.
