Search BP using Marketing Attribute

Please let me know if there is any way I can use marketing attribute as a standard search item.

you need to implement BADI CRM_MKTLIST_BADI
and append the relevant structure.
look in the example in:
External List Management->Mapping Fields in help.sap.com
to use marketing attributes you should use function:
CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP or like it.

Update Marketing attributes in Interactive Scripting

Hi All,
I would like to know if anyone knows how to :
1. Display multi value fields in Interactive Scripting 5.2
In standard IS editor, there is a dynamic answer "Marketing Attribute 5.1". We need to create new ones. What it the process ?
2. Update Marketing Attributes (or any other multi value fields) in IS. In addition to that, IS Editor in 5.2 don't have "ABAP Call" and "RFC ABAP Call" type actions in the repository, where 4.0 comes with these types. I would like to make a RFC call to R/3 from IS, and display the returned value in the IS.

Hello Mike,
Yes, You have to clearly define what type of marketing attribute it is. i mean whether person or organization.
It is not possible to use marketing attributes which are valid for persons AND organizations for survey.
For eg. If the marketing attribute is of type person(you can see this in the trx Crmd_prof_templ) and the BP is of type Organisation then it wont work for you.
In this case either change the attributes to Organization type ,reattach them in the survey suite and then try.
If you have attribute of person type then the BP should be of the same type.Actually in the code there is a string which matches from both the sides.So in case of any mismatch the updation would not be there.

Export Marketing Attributes of Business Partners using XIF XML Interface

Hello CRM Fellows,
I've successfully configured the XIF Adapter to send out SOAP Requests to my external server. We have the requirement to not only send the Business Partner and Relationship Master-Data to the external system. We also have to provide Marketing Attributes. But here I stuck in a problem. The BAdI CRMXIF_PARTNER_MAP is not triggered when I maintain only a Marketing Attribute via Transaction BP. I've searched if there is a XIF Object for Attributes but that is not available.
Does anyone know how to send Marketing Attributes to an external system when they are changed?

thank you for that suggestion. I've already found [ODS for Marketing Attributes|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/07/d545a50869754fbad8062e17c2ea0e/frameset.htm] when I've searched in the CRM Documentation. I've just asked my BI colleague to do the extract to BW. I will then write a Web Service on the BW which can be called from the external system.

There are two solutions for marketing attributes.
1)Enhance ICCMP_BP_SEARCH
Enhance View: ICCMP_BP_SEARCH/BupaDetailB2B
open context node: customers.
right click on the attributes, click on create
use following BOL Relationship:
BOL Entity: BuilHeader
BOL Attribute: BuilHeader(relations) --> BuilMktAttributeRel ---> Builmktattribute --> attributes --> add attribute and description.
The problem is you can display only one value.
2nd solution:
Enhance BP_DATA
Enhance view : BP_DATA/MarketingAttributeEL
Enhance View:BP_DATA/MarketingAttributeEF
you can display marketing attributes on UI As a table displaying attribute set, attribute, value.

Populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD

Hi Experts
We are having problems with populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD. When we run our process we get the error message:
CRMBW_ATTR_WRITE005: Error when processing function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5. Message no. RSAN_MDL024
As you can see, we are using the new function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5 since the old CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT did not work either.
Do we have to add a reference to a infoobject in transaction CRMBWTARGETS? We have not done this because the marketing attribute in CRM doesnt have decimals and all the objects in BI have. Could this be the cause of the error?

I have already followed the procedure you have described. Since there is not common objects between ODS and Bpatner infoobject, i am not able to do mapping.
for eg. my ZBPARTNER infoobject has attributes like zfooty, ztennis and zrugby but my ODS has char name , char value, counter for multiple values infoobjects.
I am following the example in the demo content to work out the process but could not understand how the data is getting uploaded from ODS to Business partner.

Marketing Attributes and Survey

Hi!
I am working with CRM 5.0. We need to integrate Survey Results with Marketing Attributes.
in other words:
1) Reading Marketing Attributes when displaying Survey
2) Saving Marketing Attributes acording to Survey results
The survey can be filled in URL (HTML) formate o via Activity.
Do I still have to implement correction instructions from Notes
743978 and 638320 or is there a way to customize the integration from 5.0 on?

hi
to assign attributes to BP u can have two ways:
first is to go inside the BP and there must be a tab for Marketing attributes there under that u need to assign the same.
u can also make a new BP using t code BP and then do the same as i said above.
another way is to go to SPRO and inside that go to the CRM and then marketing and then into the marketing planner and then segment builder
inside that u will have an option that
assign attributes to BP
if u r not able to find that out still then simply use search and then type "attributes"
u will have many options at ur availance
u have to select the same
assign attributes to BP

Expert Tools for Marketing Attributes

Hi,
In Expert Tools, if we use the tool Assignment of an Attribute value to all BPs in a Target Group and specify the old attribute in Old value and new in New Value field, the old attribute in overwritten by the new attribute.
When I go to BP Master and check the Marketing attributes tab page of one of the BP, the new attribute is captured there.
But when in segment builder I try to search this BP in my Target group, the BP is not there.
I tried to change attributes of this target group many times through expert tools, everytime this particular BP's attributes were also changed, which means this BP is a part of my target group. Whey Can't I see it in the segment builder when I view list of all BPs in this target group?

Thank you so much for awarding points.
Please note that in Transaction PFCG you have to assign the appropriate three digit attribute set key under the authorization group BGKRL to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKL for assigning attribute sets and to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKP for editing attribute sets.

URGENT: How to remove the assignment of marketing attributes for an BP

Hi Guys,
In my project we are maintaining two marketing attributes for all the business partners.
But there is a need now based on some condition we want to remove one of the assignment for the BP (I.e which ever BP matching certain condition written in my BP upload program)..
I dont want to remove this manually using the transaction codes or the segment builder
Is there any function module to remove the assignment of the marketing attribute for the BP which i can use in my upload program
Would appreciate an early reply since it is very urgent...

Hi Sundar,
Most Easier approach is to code a BDC based on trasaction : CRMD_PROF_BP. in the search field pass BP ID, you will get the BP attributes and you can delete it their and then.
Save.
Data is back in Database.
All will happen in BDC in background.
Else you can use
FM 'CRMT_MKTBP_WRK' to delete the assignments.
This is the basic FM called to delete marketing attributes assignment.

How to add new marketing attribute to the existing marketing attribute set?

Hi all,
I searched for existing forums but I didn't find the required one. I found some using Tcodes ,which is not my requirement. My requirement is to add new marketing attribute to the already existing marketing attribute set. This attribute set is created by my team lead with 4 attributes but now i have to add new attribute to this set so total will become 5 attributes for this attribute set. This has to be done through marketing professional business role. If this is not done through marketing attribute set, then I will go for the transaction where I can add marketing attribute for attribute set.
Please send the details of both marketing professional business role and transaction code.

FUNCTION MODULES RELATED TO BP MARKETING ATTRIBUTES
CRM_MKTBP_READ_OW OR CRM_MKTBP_READ_OB
returns the status whether the attribute set is assigned to the BP. Further it also returns the attribute set, attribute and its values for the given BP
INput parameter: BPguid (from BUT000)
           Attribute set ID
CRM_MKTBP_READ_CHAR - > get record from db
returns the attribute set, attribute and its values for a given BP
INput parameter: BPguid (from BUT000)
           Attribute set ID
CRM_MKTPFTPL_READ_CHR
This FM takes the attribute set as the input parameter and returns the following:
Attribute set
Check tables if any
Attribute applicable to the attribute set and its descriptions
CRM_MKTPFCHR_READ * read character descriptions
Gives the values and the descriptions of the values
INput parameter: Attribute name
CABN - stores attribute and the checktable linked to the attribute
CABNT - attribute descriptions
CAWN - attributes and the corresponding values
CAWNT - attributes and the corresponding values n their descriptions
KLAH and SWOR - stores (classes containing the) attribute sets
AUSP - stores the attribute values assigned to the BP. It also contains the BP guid. the search for the attribute value is based on some AUSP-objek which can be retrieved from table inob-cuobj using
     WHERE objek = lv_objectkey '0001437160 BP no
      AND obtab = gc_objecttable 'BUT000
      AND klart = gc_class_type. 'BUP
Alternately, you may use the partner_guid in the AUSP table and get the attribute values assigned to the partner.

Sundar,
Goto transaction CRMD_PROF_BP. Search for the attribute set you want to delete. Double click on it and in the next screen enter the business partner number and click on delete assignment button on the tool bar.
An alternative method for mass deletion:
Use TCode: CRMD_MKT_TOOLS. In there, select Deletion of an attribute for all BP Assignments
Reward ipoints if this helps.

Hi Martin,
The Base Entity for BP Account Search Result is 'BuilHeader'.
(You can check in the context node class attributes).
I think the Marketing Attributes are available in relation 'BuilMktAttributeRel' of 'BuilHeader'. Just validate this in GENIL_BOL_BROWSER searching an existing Account.
If what I sais is true then you have two methods.
1. Either create new attributes on Search Result context node using BOL entity BuilMktAttribute or
2. Create Display only Value attributes and populate them by writing code to access BuilMktAttributeRel and populate in GET method as you did for Department Name in Target Group. As you will normally only display fields on Search Result.
I did a basic analysis, please validate.

Unfortunately CRM 5.0 does not have as great a level of technical support for viewing BSP field details as CRM 2007 & 7.0
This may help.
Determine the view which you need to reference.
To do this go to transaction SU3, for your user profile, click on the Parameters Tab. Add Parameter: CRM_ICWC_TEST
with value xX3456789.
Save the changes, now login into the Webclient and go to the view in question.
Hover your cursor over the view header area, you should get a view name, something like CRM_IC/BupaSearch.htm
No go back to the GUI and go to transaction SE80, Select BSP Application and search on the first part of the name returned from when you hovered over the view eg CRM_IC. Press Enter.
Go to the Views folder, locate the view with the name from the second part of the name returned from when you hovered over the view eg BupaSearch.
Double click on the view. You should then be able to see the code for the view.
Also Transaction BSP_WD_WORKBENCH is useful and may provide a higher degree of technical information that you seek.

Error in Marketing Attribute Update

HI All,
I need to update the Marketing attribute of the BP. For this i tried using below mentioned FM
1. CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT
2. CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP
Now i am facing a strange issue here. My code is able to update BP half of the time and half of the time Not at all.
Doesn't return any error OR warning, but not working.
Is there any thing else which i can try Or any limitation on Marketing attribute, I simply have no idea how to resolve this.
Any help is deeply appreciated.

I tried your approach, but still not able to resolve it.
I am not getting any error in the return table. It shows success. But when i go to BP transaction and then to Marketing attribute tab, i don't see any Attribute Set assigned to BP.
When i go to Edit Mode and manually assign attribute set, It shows me the values passed by me, but even there also if i save BP, Attribute set is not getting saved.
I am thinking it might be a bug, did any body else has faced similar problem with Marketing attributes?
If yes, what is the Solution for this and did you raised any OSS?
FYI, We are working on CRM 7 Ehp1.
I am able to find One Error. When my program is calling FM CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB. It is raising an exception.
Exception is 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB'. In the FM at line 340 there is a statement:
INSERT ausp FROM TABLE lt_i_ausp.
This is the place where exception is raised.
I am looking for a Note for this, but if some body has any idea on this, Please share.
