Search First, then Display "Found" Records in list "After" searching

Does anyone know how to force my ADDT List to just initially display the Search boxes only (see image above), and not bring up any records at all?
- I'm using the List Page and Filter Boxes as a "Global Search" of the database
- I only want the page to load with everything except the actual data
- Then when I type something into a filter box, I want the query to run & display the results below. (Like a google search page)
My list page works as-is, set to display only 10 records, with the Filter boxes set to display by default.. but since the query is running to display the recordset,
there is a delay before the page loads.. I would like to stop the initial query from running/displaying and only run "after" I have typed in a value, and hit the "Filter" button.

Gunter, Referring to your suggestion before, it looks like it hides the records display,..
Will this still cause the page to load slow (since the query still is running in the background) even though the records are not displayed?
Do you know, does the List code call the query before or after it displays the list?

HT3529 Contacts not found in contact list after saving from new text message

When a new number texts me and I save it to my contacts, I can find that contact when texting, but contact does not show up on my phone list contacts. For Example: I received a text message from (555) 555-5555. I #1 clicked "Contact" in the top right corner of the text message screen, #2 clicked "i" button, #3 clicked "Create New Contact," #4 added first and last name, and #5 clicked "Done."
In the future, if I try and text that saved number, the contact will appear under the saved name. But if i press the phone icon and look at my contact list, the contact is not there. So if I try and text "Heather Campbell" i can find the contact by clicking new message and typing "Hea" and send her a text message with no problem. However if I go to my phone contact list and try to call her, she is not listed as a contact.

Unfortunetly, that's not the problem. I have 3 groups. 1. All iCloud 2. All Hotmail 3. All Facebook. I have the All iCloud checked, i do not want facebook friends and email addresses in this contact list. This will only give me a list of phone numbers I saved from call log. Not phone numbers I saved through text message. Thank you though!

Apps are gone from purchased list after Apple ID region switched

Hi Genius,
Saying I've just switched the region of my Apple ID days ago, and then I found the "purchased" list of my account was emptyed, nothing there even I've paid form them.
I have no idea how it works. Do I need to pay & download those apps form the new region app store again, even I've paid in another region?

Apple licenses their content by region. This means that Apple licenses content from content providers (e.g. Paramount, HBO, EMI, etc.) by country, and Apple sells content to customers by country. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that your purchase history would be repopulated if you changed your region settings back to your original region.
Since Apple is the content provider for the App Store, they *should* be able to work with you to transfer your App licenses (the paid ones, at least). Some apps, such as the BBC iPlayer app, are only available in certain countries. You may run into a situation where one of your apps isn't available in your new region.

for monthly search you can use the below query..

now for Next and Back button you must be having uniqueID in your table,,,
First Time display this query.....

trying to associate 4 select list where i could display all records from a list linked to an other list.
1./ Created an item for each select list
P1_employee_name
P1_departments
P1_employee_type
P1_locations
2./Set both null and default values to '-1' for each item
3./Associated these items to source columns in the Region:
where employee_name=:P1_employee_name
or :P1_employee_name ='-1'
and departments=:P1_departments
or :P1_departments ='-1'
and ......
When running the report, couldn't display all records from a given list associated to an other list.
e.g: Display all emp and type of emp for sales dept in Paris.

I believe the issue is that you need to group your predicates such as:
where (employee_name=:P1_employee_name
or :P1_employee_name ='-1')
and
(departments=:P1_departments
or :P1_departments ='-1')
Also, if you are not already using the "select list with submit" type items, these work great for this case as the page will be submitted when the user changes the value of employeenam and the report will then reflect this change.

Display different record in ALV Grid after provide different selection

Firstly, on dropdown list, I select 'Annual'. Then, the alv grid display all records for 'Annual'.
Then, I select 'Sick', I'd like to use the same ALV Grid to display all records for 'Sick'.
I'd like to know if this is doable. If yes, can you show me some sample of coding which I can use as references.
If it is not possible, I'd like to ask for y'all opinion whether it is efficient to use different ALV Grid for different selection?

I need some assistance on how to display a Map in JSP using struts or core JSTL. I have a HashMap which has a List of keys and each key maps to a value of an ArrayList.i.e I have an ArrayList of taxCodes and each taxCode maps to a value of taxDetails which is an ArrayList of details for for that particular taxCode. Report displayed based on Select List condition

Hello,
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a report and a select list, P55_MISSING. The select list contains the column names in the table that the report displays.
If I select one of the column names, I would like to display all records where that column name is null.
The sql I have at the moment is:

In order to doe this you will have to use dynamic sql (so you have to change your report type to 'SQL Query (PL/SQL Function Body Returning SQL Query)').
It would then look something like this...

i have a list of more than 20 records which i get
from database and then i put it in session.
i have to display 10 records per page only and
on the same page i'd like to have links to page
numbers to view next set of records.
example is how googel displays its search results.

Filtering in excel - not all options display in drop down list

I have found an issue with the filter drop-down list in Excel 2010. I have now been upgraded (by my employee) to Excel 2013 and same problem still exists.
Problem: I highlight the row containing the column headings; then click on filter (available via the Home tab); then click on the down arrow in the column of interest (in this case "Council Names" column); the drop-down window appears but not all
council names are displayed in the selection list, even though those council names are still in the list. I am aware of the 10,000 option limit with the selection list, but my spread sheet has well under 10,000 rows (unless there is something hidden that I
do not know about).
I have found work-arounds for the problem by searching google for answers to similar problems. I have also spoken to my employee's IT HelpDesk. I will explain the work-arounds I have found below. However, my main concerns now are:
(1) What is the cause of the problem? Is there are better fix that addresses the cause, rather than having to use work-arounds?
(2) Is the issue an indication that the spread sheet has been corrupted in some way? - I need assurance that this is not an indication that the spread sheet is unstable and such problems could multiply or already be existing. (The reason I ask
this is that I had an earlier version of the same spread sheet where the problem did not occur, but it appeared in a later copy - could the copying of the sheet/workbook have caused the problem?)
Workarounds found:
(1) Select the entire sheet, then select the filter button in Home tab
(2) select all the columns manually (click in top left cell and drag down until all data selected), then select filter button
(3) Ensure all rows in the column of interest are filled in, then select filter button

Thank you very much! Yes you are right - I have looked at the Current Region and the Council Names within that region match those in the filter list. The Current Region does not contain the entire sheet.
[By the way - there were some errors in my original post: employee should be employer and in my description of the problem the following should read
"...even though those council names are still in the spread sheet". I assume that this would not change your response?]
Further questions
(1) It is odd, though, that an earlier version of the same spread sheet had a complete list of council names (the current range on this sheet contains all of the required rows of the sheet). How did the current region change between versions (I did not knowingly
do it)?
(2) Does the above mean that the file, workbook or spread sheet is damaged/corrupted in some way? If yes, can this be corrected and how?
(3) In addition to (2) above - what is the safest way to copy an excel workbook to minimise risk/avoid future corruption? [I have been copying and keeping earlier versions, partly for testing reasons, but also as a safety measure for the project as
we are making changes all the time and may decide we wish to go back to the previous version(s)].

Display one record data - splitting it into 2 different rows

Hi ,
I have a requirement wherein i search for something and the results are displayed in the table. I am using tablelayout for this.
For each record, the data will be split across in 3 separate rows, i.e. one complete record will span across 3 rows.
When Search is fired initially, only one row of data is dispalyed. Then I have a button or icon corresponding to this first row of each record, on clicking on this icon, all the other rows related to this one record should be displayed.
How can i achieve this? Also should I query entire data for one record at one go, and then hide/show it based on icon click, or I should get results/details realetd to first row only, and then again fire another VO to get the details of 2 and 3rd row. Which is much better from performance point of view.?
