Search help for date in module pool

Hi experts
i am developing a module pool prog, in the second screen 6 fields are displayed and one of them is date field. I wanna search help for that date field. Plz note the date field is populated from Work area of iternal table.
Plz help me out in solving the issue.

parameters : date type sy-datum .

Search help for date in ALV grid

I have ALV grid with field type date and search help for this:
ws_field-ref_table = 'ADCP'.
ws_field-ref_field = 'DATE_FROM'.
ws_field-inttype = 'D'
After I have clicked on this key F4 then I see a calendar and I have choosen some date, but in input grid field there aren't
choosen value. Why? Another search helps works perfect except this. Where is the problem?

SEARCH HELP FOR DATE

Hi Gurus,
I have a screen containing fields from an internal table. As I cannot use the 'from dictionary' option in the screen painter attributes, (since internal table field is not in ABAP dictionary), I'm not able to display the search help for a field of type DATS. How can i access the stabdard date search help for my type DATS internal table screen fields?

Try this:
On your customizing screen flow,
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
Field T_ZT-SDATE " your date field
module create_dateselect.
In your main program:
module create_dateselect.
data:p_date like sy-datum.

Customize search help for date.

Dear All ,
Any Idea how we going to customize / standard function the search help for the date by refering to the closing period month and year.
Example this month closing period is 'July 2009', so when user click on the screen search help date button, the search help will pop up only 'July 2009' calender. Not like standard one with different years and months.
I only want 1 month calender.
Any idea ??

Search help for date field in Editable ALV

I am using editable alv using 'reuse_* '.
I have used date as input field. While creating fieldcatlog also i have declared dat as a mkpf-budat.
But i am not getting serach help for date in output.
Is it possible with reuse or i have to go by object oriented ?

F4 help for date in select options..

I want a search help for date field which belongs to select options.
I know if it is a parameter we directly map the attribute value to that data element.

Search Help for custom data element

Hi experts,
I have a small question regarding accessing data on different clients.
Can I have an abap program where I can make reference to data /tables in different client AAA, assuming the system (AAA) with data is logically connected to the client that has the ABAP Program ?

I have a custom field my material in SAP xRPM system( different client from R/3). As per your previous replies, I understand it is possible to have search help for material in xRPM and validate the data with material in R/3. Is this correct? Do I need to maintain all the data in the xRPM ?

Search help for custome field with different data type

Hi Friends,
I have Created a custom table in which i have created a field is
ZMATLONG which stores material number.
Now the data element is zdmat which is of char 40..
Now i want to give search help for this field ZMATLONG..
I have tried many ways giving search help to this field
a) i Tried to attach the standard search help of MATNR ie : MAT1 but its showing me data type inconsistancy
b) i created a zsearch help and in the selection method i have used database table mara , again here iam getting the same error data type inconsistancy...
Now how can i give the search help like matnr field to my custom field ZMATLONG...
How can i do it..?

Hi,
MATNR ahs length 18 and ZMATLONG has length 40.So due to this u cannot use MAT1 search help.
best way would be cope MAT1 into Z search help. Then in the search help parameter change the data element of field
MATNR as ZMATLONG.
Now if you assign Z search help to ZMATLONG it will work.
I tried this its working fine.

Search help for VA01 Header Data Partners

Hello Team,
I have a requirement in va01/02/03 , where i will need to create/enhance a search help for one of the partner functions under SO header data.
and values will need to be extracted from a customer Z-Table., taking into consideration the sales area of the SO
Right now, I am not sure, but it looks like it has a search help attached to it, but when i press F4, nothing comes up.
Is there a way i can check if there is any standard search help associated with those screen field?

Hi Ashish,
You can APPEND your own search help to an SAP field that has search help defined. This is similar to APPENDing fields to an SAP table.
You can also attach the search help to a field on a screen, i.e. limit the scope to that single screen, but this would still require a modification to the system, and hence, an access key.
Hence if you want to attach search help to the standard SAP field, then you will need access key for that.
If the access key will be available then you can attach your search help to the standard SAP field.

How to get search help for 2nd parameter based on the 1st parameter value

Hi all!
   I have 2 parameters (material no, revision level). I have created a search help for revision level. It has an importing parameter :material no. and one exporting parameter : revision level.When I checked it, it's giving the revision values only for the specified.
In my report , I have kept these 2 materials in my selection screen.For revision level , I have added the matchcode object which I have created. When I pressed F4 for revision level, it's giving all the values irrespective of the material no. in the first parameter. How to solve it? Please suggest.
