Search help for org units
Hi,
I'm looking for a tree search help for org units without organisational controls.
Actually I'm using the search help 'RH_TYPE_STRUC_HELP' but the units are only the units directed by the user. For one of the specific infotype, I need to let the user select an unit that is not in his own structure... to save an information like "I don't want to work here".
Have you got some function that can help me ??

When you goto Users_gen->create->copy user and employee... - > create users from existing SU01 users.. you can see the Organization unit id input field.. which has F4 help.. I need to have same F4 help in my custom program.. when i try to find the search help in debug mode i found that 'HRBAS00OBJID' but when i execute this search help in se11.. i dont find the same value which appear in the Users_gen. when i execute in se11 i can see more than 5000 records... appear but when execute users_gen i can see only 20 records.. i want to know is there any other search help will only display the Organiztion unit id only..

Search help for partner functions in the message to get organisation unit O
hello,
Depending on the Business partner category (Organisation, Person,Group) the search help of the partner function in a message should return the corresponding partner list.
This is working fine for standard partner functions like SLFN0002 (reported by=P) SLFN0003 (support team=O). When doing a searchhelp we get a list of organisation for the "support team" and a list of users for "reported by". this is a normal behaviour.
When copying the partner function SLFN0003 into a new ZLFN0003 and including it in the partner profile of the message the search help returns all business partners of category P but should return category O. The function category 0016 (service team) is well defined for ZLFN, I guess the link to business partner category is made indirectly there but I might be wrong.
Does anyone of you experience the same behaviour ? Any idea how to correct this ?

Collective search helps:- Combination of elementary search helps. When we need to fetch data based on multiple selection criteriau2019s. More than one tables are Selection from multiple tables
Steps for creating collective search help.
1) Enter the search help name and click on create.
2) Choose Collective search help radio button option as the search help type.
3) Enter the search help parameters.
Note that there is no selection method to be entered for a collective search help.
4) Instead of the selection method, we enter the included search helps for the collective search help.
5)We need to assign parameters for each of the included search helps.
6) Complete the parameter assignment by clicking on the push button.
7) Collective search help offers the user to obtain F4 help using any of the included search helps.

One search help for multiple select-options in webdynpro abap
Hi,
I need a way to use one search help for multiple select-options fields. My scenario is :
I have a table for keeping different organizational units' values of different systems. I have pasted some sample data from this table at the end of this mail. On the screen I want to have 1 select-options filed for werks, and 1 select-options filed for vkorg. (In fact I will have more org. unit fields...) In the beginning of my application the user will select sid.
If the user selects ADS as SID, when he opens search-help for the first org. unit (werks), he will see the records with SID: ADS, VARBL = $WERKS, LANGU = SY-LANGU.
If the user selects AGT as SID, when he opens search-help for the second org. unit (vkorg), he will see the records with SID: AGT, VARBL = $VKORG, LANGU = SY-LANGU.
I have created a search-help taking SIDD, VARBL and LANGU as import parameters; used field mapping and bound this search help to my table. I have created 2 context nodes : org1 and org2 having attributes SID, VARBL, VALUE, LANGU .
I have assigned related SID, VARBL and Langu values to these attributes at runtime as I needed. That way, if I use input field and reference to the related context attributes org1-value and org2-value2 accordingly, search help works well as I want.
However, when I use select-options field , I can not bind the field to the context data. I can give reference only to ddic structure. Is there any way to reference to a context attribute? I searched for this in SDN, but could find nothing.
I think I won't be able to use this way. What do you say?
As I read from forums maybe using OVS help will be suitable for me. But I have to use one search-help for all select-options fields. Do you know how I can determine the active select-options field and pass its name (for instance "werks" ) as parameter to this OVS search help. (Also I'll pass SID and LANGU.)

Your ques is how to refer to a DDIC search help to refer to selection screen parameter ?
Am I right ?
If Yes, then in the interface IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS
method ADD_SELECTION_FIELD, ADD_PARAMETER_FIELD etc
have importing param like I_VALUE_HELP_TYPE and I_VALUE_HELP_ID, I_VALUE_HELP_MODE, I_VALUE_HELP_STRUCTURE
etc which may help you to link your create DDIC Search help to selection screen params.
this is just a clue from my side. I haven't tried it myself.
You can go to the where used list of this method and find some sample implementations which use these params.

Get the position of the employees for whom you are getting the error message and maintain infotype "Canada Groups for WCB" for those positions. This should solve your issue.

Hi Experts,
This is a Z table with first field as GROUP and second field as KEY.
User can select values for first field using a search help. It has three possibel entries
1. Purchasing Org
2. Region
3. Coutnry
In second field the user has to enetr value based on selection in first field, for eg. if 1 is chosen in 1st field user will enter name of a purchasing organisation.
Can we dispay a search help for second field based on the selection in first field?
Like if 1 is selected in 1st field second field should display search help for Purchasing Org
if 2 is selected in 1st field second field should display search help for Region....in SM30?
How can we achieve this?

1.Go to the table maintenance generator screen from SE11 (Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator).
2. In the Table maintenance generator screen , navigate to Environment -> Modifications -> Maintenance Screens
3. Select and Edit the screen where you need this new search help
4. Create a Process on Value Request module for your second field at the end of the screen flow logic after MODULE LISTE_AFTER_LOOP.
5. In the POV module, use funcntion DYNP_VALUES_READ to read the value of field 1 on the screen
6. Fill your own table with the values for field 2 based on field 1 and display selection using the function F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST

I have also tried to look in the System Administrator -> Profile -> System
and in the Responsibility, I query for Payables manager, and look which Orgs are assigned to it, I am not able to find it. I know I am wrong, but can you please help me how to see which responsiblity is assigned to which Operating Unit.

In succession planning, we want to remove few actions for org units & position. I tried to look for the configuration of the same in admin console in detailed configuration for my positions & my org units, but could not find it. Please help.

Do you mean the items in the Actions drop-down menu on the OrgUnit/Positions details panels? This cannot be done in the AdminConsole. You need to go to the <build>\AppResource\linkconfiguration folder and copy the files you want to change to <build>\.detla\AppResource\linkconfiguration folder and then change them.
I believe the files you want are SAPOrgUnitDetailsConfiguration.xml and SAPPositionDetailsConfiguration.xml. Just delete or comment out the lines for the actions you want to remove.

Why you want to separetly create Infotype for Organizational Units???
Once you create them through simple maintainince by default 1000 & 1001 will be maintained. If you create Org Unit through Expert Mode you need to maintain them mannually. And select from the Infotype Menu which ever Infotype you want to maintain.

No search help for Custom field ZZKUKLA in vk11
Hi,
I have added the field KUKLA - Customer classification as a pricing field in KOMP. Created an access sequence as follows: Sales Org.-> Customer Classification - material group.
In the creation of the record in VK11 I'm not getting the search help for the ZZKUKLA field. The thing is that if I'm in change or display, the search help for the field appears and lists the possible values.
Anyone have a clue?

Request you to first add Customer classification field (ZZKUKLA) in KOMK structure insted of structure KOMP. Becasue it is header structure filed. After add this new filed in KOMK structure, Add this new filed in your field catelog and than create table and new access sequence. Also request you to select KOMK structure in your access sequence against this new field Customer classification ZZKUKLA.

BP number is missing for org units in org model

I have created org model in PPOCA_CRM and saved it CRM7.0. But BP numbers did not get generated for org units which I have created.
Can any one suggest me what is the reason and what needs to be done in order to get BP numbers for already created org units in PPOCA_ CRM or PPOMA_CRM.

JMGo to CRM IMG->Cross Application components->SAP Business partner->Business Partner->Number Ranges and Groupings->Define Groupings and Assign number ranges.
There check if any number range is defined with the "Int Std grouping" . If it is not define it.
and in SM30 for "T77S0" for entries HRALX/OSUBG assign a number range. -
Actions for Org.Units, Jobs and Positions
Dear All,
I know how to create or copy the available actions for Org Units , Jobs and positions thro' the table T777M and run them through PP03.
Once I do it , when I want to skip some of the relationships it doesnt allow me to , the next page tab is grayed out.
I mean if we have for ex. a position reporting to a position and because he is, say CEO and I want to skip that relationship I am unable to , how to activate the skip or Next page tab ??

Goto table T77IV click on maintain, Click on New Entries >> Enter the subgroup ( PVOB) PV - Plan Verson and OB is for Object you want to maintain the number ranges for eg : 01C for Job. >> Enter and save the record...
It will take u to the next screen >> Click on maintain intervals >> Click on Add Intervals >> New screen will appear ... enter the details as below :

01 1 19999999 This is Object range
Note : do not enter anything in "Current Number" & Do not select "Ext"

I have 2 questions
1) we dont have any default cost center maintained any where in the org-structure (PPOMA_BBP), howeverwhenever I go for shopping I can see a cost center along with GL account, ( I know GL acct is coming from "determine GL account for prod-cat" settings in IMG), but what about cost center where is it coming from ??
2) second, when we do search help for cost center's in shopping application, we are able to see all cost centers from the back end which I guess is good, but we can see even those cost centers which are blocked!!!, why is this happening ??,

For First::
In general the CO Area (here: cost center) is derived from R/3 Backend Enterprise
Structure and should be re-determined if another acc. objects is
entered that belongs to a different CO Area. Please also check the
settings in R/3 Backend IMG, path:
->Enterprise Structure ->Assignment ->Controlling
->Assign company code to controlling area
The company code is assigned to the CO Area through the following
assignment:
->Materials Management
->Assign purchasing organization to company code
The CO Area is in general the organizational object in
highest (CO) level. Assignments to other MM/CO objects are located
in lower Enterprise hierarchy level. Hence, the CO Area does not
change if a different CO object of a lower level (here: cost center)
is assigned to a SRM document.
For Second::
The only possibility I see is to set the message to error message in
the customizing in the backend. The message number is KI 170. When you
look at the long text of this message in transaction SE91 in the
backend, you will find the description where to look in the customizing.
When you have set this message to ERROR, then no purchase order will be
created in the backend. Instead the shopping basket gets the status
'ERROR' and the administrator will recieve a work item in his inbox.
Then he can check the backend and either post the purchase orders again
after solving the problem, or he can delete the shopping baskets.
Please check the note for more infos or the documentation.
Setting the message KI 170 to error message will solve your problem.
See note 333136. I would think that if you create
a PO directly in the backend if you do not have the message configured
as and error you will be able to create the PO.

We have created an infoset based on LDB PCH.
(The infoset contains object type O only).
For the object-id field the users want search help when choosing this field for selection.
Using "start via selection screen" does not give a good solution.
Can anyone explain how I can create search help for fields in an infoset?
