Search Help for VA01,VA02 Tcode

I need to develop a new search help in the VA01 and VA02 Transaction Code.
For the below mentioned fields :
Sales Organization, Old Material Number, Material Description, Material type, Plant and Product Hierarchy.
I have created the search help.
But iam not sure about the VIEW.
Please let me know how to write a view for this search help.

As i have created this search help and in the view i have given the join conditions as
MARA-MATNR = MARC-MATNR
MARA-MATNR = MAKT-MATNR
MARA-MATNR=MVKE-MATNR
and in search help parameters :
VKORG
MATNR
BISMT
MAKTX
MTART
WERKS
PRODH
I took the Hotkey as 1.
Please guide me what are selection conditions that i need to give in my VIEW.
Here iam using 4 tables.

Hi,
you don't need any exit / badi.
Go in VA02, in material number go in technical information : F1 ; F9
You will show there is no search-help link to the field. So the search-help is taken from the data element.
Go in SE11 and show the data element MATNR.
In the thirth tab you will find the search-help link : S_MAT1.
Go in SE11 and show the search help S_MAT1 (each time you could double click instead of reopen SE11).
This is a group search, that means, it contains many search help.
Copy a simple search help, modify as you would like.
Add your own search help in the S_MAT1, and don't forget to link fields (parameters).
You don't need any object key or user-exit.
You will affect all the screen of SAP using this search-help S_MAT1.

Search help for VA01 Header Data Partners

Hello Team,
I have a requirement in va01/02/03 , where i will need to create/enhance a search help for one of the partner functions under SO header data.
and values will need to be extracted from a customer Z-Table., taking into consideration the sales area of the SO
Right now, I am not sure, but it looks like it has a search help attached to it, but when i press F4, nothing comes up.
Is there a way i can check if there is any standard search help associated with those screen field?

Search help for field of tcode MIGO

Hi,
I want to add search help for Goods recipient (GOITEM-WEMPF) field on MIGO screen, how to achieve that?
I tried with BADI MB_MIGO_BADI, but its now working.
Is there any BADI or field exit available?

i know that there are two options for defining the input help of a field.
1 Define the input help in ABAP dictionary. (recommended option)
2 Define the input help in the screen field. the disadvantage is that there is no automatic reuse.
1st option
Se11 --> create your own search help
    substeps:
        1) Enter short description
        2) selection method : this is the check table/view of the field GOITEM-WEMPF
        3) Search help parameter : parameters used in the search help.
        4) IMP: Import parameters
        5) EXP: Export parameters
        6) Lpos :hitting list [search result]position in the header [values 1,2,3,4,5]
        7)Spos: search position on the dialog search screen.
        8) data elements : they are from the selection method.
        9) Save and activate
        10) test this via the button "test"
       Note: the search help is not yet effective fo the field GOITEM-WEMPF
        11) Attach this search help for the table [ selection method mentioned above]
              a) Goto change mode of this table via SE11
              b) choose goto--> search help> for table
                        or Extras --> search help for table, in the next dialog box enter the name of search help
              C) The proposal created by the system for assigning the search help parameters to the key fields of the table is probably correct. check this and copy the definition.
              d) Active this table.
              e) Call the create entries function for table GOTIME again. the input help of field WEMPF should behave as desired.

Search Help for Business Partners in tcode UKM_BP

Hi all,
In tcode UKM_BP or UDM_BP, I have to create a new search help for the business partner field. Can anyone help me with this? Should I create my search help in collective search help BUPA? Or is there a better way to to this?

Steps to do ->
Open Search help - BUPA using SE11 transaction and click F5 Key. Click on F6 Key to create a new Append search help.

Changing the search help for vbap-aufnr in va01

Hi Folks,
Can we change the search help provided for the field Order(vbap-aufnr) in the table Control ALL ITEMS in VA01.
1.go to va01.
2.give the order type.
3.press enter.
4.it will take us to the overview screen.
5.there we will find a table control named ALL ITEMS.
6.in that we can find a field called ORDER(vbap-aufnr) with a Search Help provided.
7.I want to change this search help to the search help provided for the same field in other screen.
(the same field is in some other screen which is having a different kind of search help,I want to provide that search help for the above said screen too)
Let me know how to go with this in detail.

The same requirement I am trying to explain in a detailed manner.
1.go to va01.

7.Now double click in the same field which is taking us to Item Data Screen.
8.here we will be able to see a few tab strips.
9.click on the accounts assignment tab.
10.we will be able to find the filed ORDER having a Search Help.
Now I want this search help at the screen I had discussed above.At both the areas search help is provided using 'DD_SHLP_CALL_FROM_DYNP'.
How to solve this?

Search help for Asset Class in LDB ADA

Hi,
I have a requirement to restrict values in certain search help.
It is Z transaction for Z SAP Query which has logical database ADA under itself.
The field which search help I should restrict is Asset Class.
As I found in LDB ADA, it is select option SO_ANLKL with type ANLAV-ANLKL. It leads me to search help SH_ANLKA which is defined for domain ANLKL.
But actually, another search help is called. It looks like SH_ANKA, but I don't know if it is right one.
I have two problems:
1. How to identify what search help is called?
2. How to restrict values in search help or maybe how to attach Z search help in this case (should I attach in query or is there a way to enhance LDB)?
As I am new both to SAP Query and LDB's I am not sure where to start.

Solved.
For those who face the same problem, here is the solution.
LDB ADA creates basic search help for select options Asset Class by reading ANKA-ANLKL and ANKT-TXK20.
Output list can be restricted by adding an enhancement at the end of FM DD_SHLP_GET_HELPVALUES and changing the internal table OUTPUT_VALUES.
If necessary, it can be conditioned by TCODE and for this purpose parameter can be set in the enhancement of FM DD_SHLP_CALL_FROM_DYNP by reading content of the field HELP_INFOS-TCODE.

Search help for currency field

I am not able any search help for currency field , CUKY of lenght 5
If anyone knows it please tell

You can use the data element WAERS / refer to field BKPF-WAERS. The search help will show up automatically as the field BKPF-WAERS, has check table TCURC.
Also see the "Origin of Input help" column in "Entry help/ check" tab in SE11 for table BKPF, it says - "Input help implemented with check table".
For example in tcode FB01, the currency field on the selection screen is BKPF-WAERS. The search help is displayed

Create an elementary serach help using the Table USR01 or USR03
see the steps
1) Elementary search helps describe a search path. The elementary search help must define where the data of the hit list should be read from (selection method), how the exchange of values between the screen template and selection method is implemented (interface of the search help) and how the online input help should be defined (online behavior of the search help).
2) Collective search helps combine several elementary search helps. A collective search help thus can offer several alternative search paths.
3)An elementary search help defines the standard flow of an input help.
4) A collective search help combines several elementary search helps. The user can thus choose one of several alternative search paths with a collective search help.
5)A collective search help comprises several elementary search helps. It combines all the search paths that are meaningful for a field.
6)Both elementary search helps and other search helps can be included in a collective search help. If other collective search helps are contained in a collective search help, they are expanded to the level of the elementary search helps when the input help is called.
CREATION:
Go to SE11 Tcode
select search help
give the 'z' search help name and create
select the selection method ur table name eg : 'mara'
dialog module 'display value immediately'.
add the field whatever u want and lpos = 1 and spos = 1 and check import and export parameter.
where left position when displaying and spos = search position
and then save and activate ..

Search help enhancement - VA01

Hello,
I am trying to enhance standard search help on material field(RV45A-MABNR) on VA01 screen with my custom search help. Can someone please suggest which search help is being used by this material field?

When you go to display the structure RV45A in se11 and goto field mabnr and double click it , you can find
"explicit search help attachment to data element" and not as "explicit search help attachment to data field"
which is the case for RMXTT_TRIAL_HD-PRODUCT
and also when you click on the search help for field at the bottom , you can see " no search help for field RV45A-MABNR".

Creating search help for a field in AdHoc Query

We have created an infoset based on LDB PCH.
(The infoset contains object type O only).
For the object-id field the users want search help when choosing this field for selection.
Using "start via selection screen" does not give a good solution.
Can anyone explain how I can create search help for fields in an infoset?

Search Help for Vendor Feild not getting populated in the Screen Element

Hi Everyone,
In transaction Miro, I get a POP-UP for Invoicing Party i.e. Vendor and Users required a custom search help.
The Search help for Vendor(LIFNR) is KRED_C and i appended a Z search help under this.
Now that the search help exists and I can drill down the values too but when i select/choose any value, that value is not getting populated in Screen feild.
is there any validation I need to do for this.
Please suggest me... I checked SDN there are many things but i couldn't figure out wat i need to do and where I need to modify.
