Search in collections

Hi,
I've some (manual created) collections in Bridge CS5. How can I search within such a collection? I want all photos, that have Keyword1 AND Keyword2.
The standard filter doesn't provide an AND-connection between multiple keywords (only an AND-connection between dirfferent parameter).
Thanks
Konrad

But within Collections the Find-Dialog seems to be disabled and could not be opened
Like Curt states, a collection is only a bunch of aliases referring to the original files. You best shot for a collection will be to create a smart collection (bringing up the same Find command) and with the plus sign select an extra key word search, enter both wanted keywords and be sure to include the main folder for your images for sorting (to include all files) and hit OK.
This creates a new (smart) collection with the files you want.

  • "Invalid number" error using Interactive Report search  on collection

    hi -- I have several interactive reports based on collections. In the IR reqion query definition,
    I cast the collection values as needed (number, date, etc). Everything's been working great.
    In both development and production, I can use the search feature of interactive reports
    and it finds rows containing the text I type in (as well as everything else working fine...)
    I just imported a new version of an application into our production database. Now, when I use the
    interactive report search, I always get "invalid number". This even happens on interactive reports
    that still work in the previous version of the production application... and these IRS
    have not been modified at all.
    If I create a filter and search for "elevation" in a string column, the filter works. If I create a filter
    searching for "elevation" in a number column, I get "invalid number". (In the development
    environment, I can do the latter -- it just doesn't find any rows.)
    Clearly it's choking on the types of the columns in the IR... but why now and not before, and why
    in the production database but not the development DB? Both are running 4.0.1.00.03.
    This is a pretty major loss of functionality... and it comes at a really bad time... Help?!
    Thanks,
    Carol

    hi Andy, Tony -- Completely understand about your email address. I've actually wondered at the fact that any

  • Log file audit script to search and collect

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to figure out the best way to complete this log file audit, so I would like to scripted, but can't seem to get a grasp on it and how best to do it. I need to search for the log files (all log files OS and App logs) on a few dozen systems on a
    few different drives per system. I'm looking to collect the log location, name, size, last log file event in that log and then export info that to a CSV file and email it to myself monthly to report on.

  • Searching a collection for a patern

    Hi. I have a Collection of a hundred thousand or so Strings. (it's a word list). How can I use a regular expression to return a Collection of Strings that match the pattern? Thanks.

    If what you wrote is the real question you have, the answer is actually contained: iterate, match, collect, return.
    If you are asking for a class supporting you in matching by regular expressions, check out java.util.regex.Pattern (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/regex/Pattern.html).
    If you are asking for optimization, well ... you should consult some books on algorithms for searching.

  • Keyword search on collection set not working for specific sub-collections

    I am having the following problem:
    When I do a search (Text->Keyword->Contains All-> for a keyword (in my
    case "Fave"), it does not work if I select the collection set that contains the
    collection that contains the images with that keyword.
    It DOES work if I select the folder, parent folder, or just the
    collection that contains the image. Just not the collection set.
    The details of how this came about are below - and are probably a
    little unusual, but not outside the realm of what should be allowed.
    Is there a way to reset/reindex keywords in a collection?
    Specifically:
    images lives in collection C1 which is part of collection set
    CS1. It lives in F1 (on disk and in LR) which is in parent folder
    PF1. A keyword search works when I select F1 or PF1 or C1, but NOT
    when I select CS1
    This happens on a set of folders that went through the following
    (totally allowable?) sequence:
    I am running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine with 64 bit LR3.3
    I have an internal disk where I keep my catalog and images. Windows
    mounts this as P:. I also mount it on my Desktop as the folder
    "Lightroom" (this allows me to change to a larger external disk
    by mounting it in the same place without changing the locations of
    all the files).
    I mistakenly imported pics into P:/PF1 rather than
    C:/.../Desktop/Lightroom/PF1 as I normally do.
    Added keywords made a collection C1 put the images in it, and added
    C1 to collection set CS1
    Having realized my import mistake (P: rather than
    C:/.../Desktop/Lightroom), I went in the Folders->P: section and did
    an Update Folder Location on F1 to C:/.../Desktop/Lightroom/F1
    This seemed to be all fine, but this weird Keyword search problem
    resulted.
    I have tried the following things:
    o Deleting and re-adding Keywords in the Collection
    o Deleting and re-adding the Keywords in the Folder
    o Renaming and relocating the Folder
    o Create new collection C2 and move pics from F1 into C2

    See my simplified recipe for reproducing this bug (which turns out not to be related to the drive mounting I described):

  • Multiple versus a single collection search with Verity

    I have a simple question about Verity search collection.
    We have been using verity for a number of years, but we have

    How about 4 collections instead of 1?

    Thanks! -- John.
    null

    David, this is about understanding the use of, and differencies between tags and collections. This is a bit hard for many new users.
    First of all searching for collections and tags can *not* be done simultaneously. You can either work with one collection only, or you can search for pictures with one or more tags.
    Next collections should be used as either temporary work sets or for special occasions like specific vacations, trips or birthdays, e.g. "Anna 5 years". You say you have a collection named "Churches". I think would have made a TAG called "Churches" instead, because a tag is for general searches that can be combined. On the other hand I might have made a collection called "Church visits July 2005" or "Summer vacation 2005" or the like.
    Another difference is that pictures in a collection can be sorted manually by drag & drop, while pictures found via tags always are shown in the order chosen in the Photo Browser Arrangement box shown bottom left in the Organizer.

    In SharePoint 2013, we can create content resource for Search Service Application, site collection and site as below:

    If you are using Search related web part, you could create content resource in site collection and build query to path=http://webapplication*. Then configure web part to use the specific content resource. Please check the link below, the link is for creating
    content resource in SSA, you could go to site settings > site collection > search result sources.
    http://techmikael.blogspot.com/2013/04/limiting-search-results-in-sharepoint.html
    However, I’d recommend you using property filter to limit search results to one web application. Please try the steps below:
    Build your query.
    Basics > query text, input path:http://sp:26* (this limit search results to web application sp:26)
    Click test query and see if it return results.

  • Invalid Number Error in IR search bar.

    Hi,
    I am getting an invalid number error when i put a value in search bar without selecting the column name.
    I followed ' "Invalid number" error using Interactive Report search on collection' thread and accordingly
    1) Purged User preferences and session state.
    2) Cleared browser settings and cache.
    3) Deleted old region and Created a new region on the page with the same query.
    If I select a column and search it works fine but when I just give an arrangement id which looks like 'ARR12345' directly in search bar it throws Invalid Number.
    This is working perfectly fine in other environments which is replica of this one.
    I also ran Apex util function to remove sort preferences.
    Also my report is a very simple report like select * from a,b where a.id = b.id.
    Please help me. This is a production issue.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards
    Garima

  • Site Collections

    I need some advice on SharePoint 2013 Search site collections best practices. After setting up my Search Service Application, I created an Enterprise Search center on my application (Central Admin) server. I then created an Enterprise Search Collection site
    collection for searching on the <hostname> site. I realized that the People search was not working for this collection (getting page not found errors for peopleresults.aspx) so I followed the instructions in this article: technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh582311(v=office.15).aspx.
    I create a new Enterprise Search Collection site collection on the <mysiteshost> web application, and deployed People Search to it. The <hostname> collection still failed on People Search, and the <mysiteshostname> search failed on everything
    else. I deleted the <hostname> site collection, and changed all of the search pointers use the <mysiteshostname> search. Now, no search is working for me.
    Ideas? Do I need to re-create the site collection for <hostname> and deal with the fact that the People Search does not work? Do I need to delete the site collection on <mysiteshost>, reboot the servers and re-create it? Do I need to kill my
    Search Service application, and start fresh?
    Thanks for your feedback.

    First, you only need ONE Enterprise Search Center site collection.  It should be created so it responds on the Web front ends just like the regular hostname site collection.  I usually create it on the <hostname> web app in an explicit managed
    path called 'Search'.  The URL for that search center (with pages library) should be added to the Search service, not another whole site collection.
    If People search isn't working check several things
    1) make sure you have a working User Profile Service
    2) make sure the search crawl account has access to the User Profile service
    3) add the mysite host address to the local SharePoint content source in search using an sps3:// protocol.
    #2 & #3 should already be there, but its a good idea to check.

    how should i go about it.
    plz help.

    Hi ANNIE,
    Go through the following Procedure to add a Search help to a field of standard Transaction
    The Matchcode is replaced by search help from the version 4.6C.
    I will tell u how create the search help.
    Name of a search help
    A search help is an object of the ABAP Dictionary with which input helps
    (F4 helps) can be defined.
    There are the following types of search helps:
    o Elementary search helps implement a search path for determining the
    possible entries.
    o Collective search helps contain several elementary search helps. A
    collective search help therefore provides several alternative search
    paths for possible entries.
    o Append search helps can be used to enhance collective search helps
    delivered by SAP with customer-specific search paths without
    requiring a modification.
    The three components of the input help process described by a search
    help are the outer interface, the online behavior and the method of data
    Go to Tcode SE11. Select the search help radio button.
    Give name as ztest and click create
    There are two types of search help.
    Once is elementary search help
    & collective search help
    Choose one.
    Add the data element.
    MatchCode is replaced by search helps.
    To attach a search help to a field.
    Use this code.
    at selection-screen on value-request for source.
    progname = sy-repid.
    dynnum = sy-dynnr.
    clear value_tab.
    refresh value_tab.
    Filling the Value_tab internal table by itab2 internal table.
    loop at itab_desc.
    write itab_desc-description to value_tab.
    append value_tab.
    endloop.
    prog = sy-repid.
    no = 1000.
    clear tab.
    refresh tab.

    tab-tabname = 'FMFCTRT'.
    tab-fieldname = 'BESCHR'.

  • Creating a search help with SAP UI5 and js?

    Hello com,
    I am trying to create a search help, collecting data from a table.
    Is there something similar to the typical ABAP search help in SAP UI 5?
    ABAP:
    PARAMETERS: lv_alias TYPE dsh_alias MATCHCODE OBJECT dashboard_alias_f4,
    I found this in the Demo Kit:
    // create a simple SearchField
    var oSearch = new sap.ui.commons.SearchField("providerSearch", {
            searchProvider: new sap.ui.core.search.OpenSearchProvider({
                    suggestType: "json",
                    suggestUrl: "/demokit/suggest?q={searchTerms}",
                    icon: jQuery.sap.getModulePath("sap.ui.core", '/') + "mimes/logo/txtonly_16x16.ico"
            search: function(oEvent){
                    alert("Search triggered: " + oEvent.getParameter("query"));
    //attach it to some element in the page
    oSearch.placeAt("sample4");
    But how can i connect it with the specifiy data table?
    Thanks,
    Domenik

    Hi,
    you need to create OData service which will retrieve (search) the required information and then need to create UI5 application to consume it.
    you can refer this blog How to Implement Value Help (F4) with SAP UI5 which covers both parts.
    if you are having SP08 version of SAP Gateway then creating search help is very simple. refer my blog Creating OData service based on Search Help
