Searching... message from JSPs
I have a number of Java/JSP applications which involve 'searches'
based on pages that ask users to enter parameter values for a search in a database.
These searches can take a long time and therefore what I would like to
do is put up a message on the page which says 'Searching....'.
However, I want to do this without using JavaScript and instead stick
to using Java and HTML.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this.

problems for developer.Thanks for this. For some of our projects we have just started
using Struts, but for some of our earlier ones we implemented MVC without a specific framework.
I understand that we could have a bean which could be evaulated in the JSP to then display a message, such as 'Searching...'. But what event would cause this to display, i.e. we have entered the parameters, gone back to the Servlet , sent our query off and it is at this point that we want to produce the 'Searching...' message, which is then removed
once we have the data returned?

What have learnt about JSPs and servlets till now? Because reading the values submitted in a form is pretty much the base of all operations. I suggest you Google for [servlet tutorials|http://www.google.com/search?q=servlet+tutorial] and [JSP tutorials|http://www.google.com/search?q=jsp+tutorial] and go through them thoroughly. After you understand what is to be done and what options are available to you, if you still face problems, please feel free to post your queries here. But this isn't exactly a site for tutorials, especially since there are so many good ones already out there, that explain all this stuff in detail. There's no point in re-inventing the wheel.

i write a class to call SOAP message from a servlet on jdev 1013
when i run the class alone it works fine

That will print an errormessage.
Basically, by setting anything on the request and then redirecting to that page you cn display it...

go to ur text messages inbox, try to compose a brand new message. type in that persons name that u are trying to delete the text messages from. (make sure this person is already deleted off ur contact list first). their name will appear and beside their name is an icon "i" click on it. scroll till u see "remove contact from recent" and THATS IT my dear. so simple. let me know when it worked out for u

Mail search in iOS 7 doesn't allow me to select messages from results for Exchange account
I perform an Exchange mailbox search and after getting the results I tap on Edit to select some of the messages from the listed search results but I can't select any and the options for Move, Delete and Mark are greyed out.
If I do the search on the Gmail mailbox instead, the selection circle is available, I can select individual messages and the options for moving, etc. are all available.OK - unless a miracle happens in the next 5-10 minutes - apple's current stance on this is that we (corporate users) are going to have to work on this problem on our side of it!
I asked - so you expect hundreds, thousands of server admins (internal employee supported and hosted) to change their settings for you - rather than you changing the way the search app works? Response was YES!!!!
They recognize that it is happening as a result of the 'expanded' search functionality, that WE asked for. Uh-hum it was working before and not now - don't think we asked for that.
They say that they have no intention of fixing what's broken in the app. They consider it to not be broken - but rather improved. WOW!
They are CLEARLY catering to the 'hey where you gonna be tonight' crowd - rather than the 'We need to meet up at 3:00pm to go over these final plans so that I can authorize the next phase of building.' and the 'Go ahead and plan for the 2 mergers we discussed to move forward - I am canceling the third, though' crowd.

I am supposedly being transferred to the 'enterprise support team' now. Tech tells me I never mentioned that it was an 'enterprise' issue. I'm like - really - exchange account - and I mentioned the corporate impact of the problem from the beginning. Anyway - we'll see where I get.
Just FYI - their search tool is supposedly returning these results because ALL of our servers are searching and seeing a server setting that allows it to search historical info ON the server. He says it happened this way in io6 - but it did not (thus we searched fine before and not now). I have two users (iPhone 5) who upgraded and have the problem - and one user (iPhone 5) who has not upgraded and does not have the problem.
OK - just got off the phone with apple. I was just transferred to the enterprise team - who said that rackspace could pay $700 and then apple would look into the problem. No, I am not joking. I recommend that you all continue to post your problems with the mail search as often as possible - and hopefully apple will take some responsibility and fix the issue on the app side - rather than asking us to all supposedly fix it on the server side.
I am contacting my exchange server admin to see if there is in fact a setting that will 'fix' the ghosting of the emails. If there is in fact a server side work around - I will post back. If apple gets smart and decides that fixing broken corporate features matters to them - I will also post back.

Moving Scriptlet Code to backing bean when converting from JSP - Facelets

We are converting our application from jsf1.2 to 2.0 and all jsps are being converted to XHTML. Some are trivial while others had very complex scriptlets.
I would like to know what are some of the recommended ways of moving Scriptlet Code to backing bean when converting from JSP -> Facelets.
I have thought about listeners, actionListeners, putting code getXXXX() of the backing bean and then calling #{bean.XXXX} but not sure whats the best way.

Weird error-like message from orbitz and ads
