Searching through various stock and selecting it,

Question

Hi everyone i've been stuck at the following code which enable user to do a search function using a JcomboBox and there's already information in the boxes itself so let's say user can type in APPLE and there will be APPLE selected and once user click on the APPLE the various stock information is displayed. I'm having 3 classes for this code and hope that u can help me see what's wrong with my code.
Basically, this is where the code retrieves the stocks from a text file
C:/Java Sem 2/FYP SEM 1/stock.txt
which comes in this format when it gets print out

the problem im facing is i actually cant compare it to a for loop because i would want to loop through the various stock and implement the key listener but now my for loop isnt working at all already. and can a key listener be present in a try code? pls tell me if u need the full codes for my 3 classes, i'll zip it and post it up.

Basically, this is where the code retrieves the stocks from a text file
C:/Java Sem 2/FYP SEM 1/stock.txt..hard coding data into the example. If the SSCCE works as you expect, that would suggest the problem might be the file reading. If it fails as you are seeing now, the file reading code is not related to the problem, and just complicates matters.
