Error processing JDBC (using BPM)

hi
i'm working on this scenario:  a stored procedure is executed in sender JDBC and the result goes to another JDBC and the output of of the second jdbc goes to the target as file.
while executing the interface, theJDBC sender is working properly.Howver the 2nd JDBC shows the following error-> Error while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'Sp_SelectName' (structure 'STATEMENTNAME'): java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]Can't start a cloned connection while in manual transaction mode.
i tried searchign for solution to this problem.I went through the followign link-> JDBC Channel : Connection reset
however the answers were not satisfactory.
Please help.

Hi Itisha,
Yours is a complicated problem. please note that you have to use Before connection.setAutoCommit(true),
have you done connection.commit() or connection.rollback() ?. See what happens ...
Also you need to use the property 'SelectMethod' for the driver in the URL and set it to 'cursor'
So your driver url should be like :
"jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://dbmachine:1433;SelectMethod=cursor"

  • How to handle system errors in XI using BPM? please help!

    Hi Experts,
         I have a requirement where I have to handle system errors. For example when I am making RFC call using RFC adapter if the remote destination is down then I have create a understandable error message and store it in another SAP table.
    How to handle it? I am using BPM. I can see that there is "Exceptions" in the send step. How to use this?
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi Gopalkrishna,
    In this case whenever you get Mapping Exception , you can raise an Exception with the help of BPM and you can send the status to the RFC. But with the help of BPM.
    For a Simple case refer:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/33/4a773f12f14a18e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    If you want you can do it without a BPM
    and throw an exception in case any of the values is missing:
    have a look at this weblog on how to throw exceptions
    in a nice way:

    Also just go through <a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/02/23/raising-exceptions-in-sap-xi-mapping Exceptions in SAP XI Mapping</a> and see if it helps you solve the problem.

  • Error processing in non BPM sync process

    I've created a sync non BPM process which is working fine. Data comes from several terminals via HTTP. My scenario is HTTP=>XI=>RFC
    On the sending side, I use ABAP mapping or parser. I'm using this since I have to check some table data based on plant code and react accordingly.
    However, its quite possible that this table does not contain data for a given plant code or invalid plant code in which case I need to send back an response instead of calling RFC like I would normally do.
    Any idea how I can send back a message without going through RFC (receiver determination)....remember I have manipuated the RFC message in the ABAP mapping (in interface determination) and the only data I have available in receiver determination is original message which is not good.
    This has gotten very tricky now. I cannot use BPM due to WF response time + added RFC time (6 secs). Using non BPM I'm down to 1 sec or so which the users are happy.
    Thanks,
    Very confused XI programer.

    Michal, The table is in XI. Table has few different fields that are important to the interface esp. The R3 system to call. Based on the plant code, we decide which SAP system to send data to. And in XI, we store this info...ex: PIP3 plant goes to AI0 system. The terminals where is information is generated does not have this sophistication.
    How would you accomplish this HTTP=>XI=>RFC non BPM sync process. BPM adds too much time and the users don't wait that long in today process which will be replaced by XI. Non BPM yields 1 sec which is what they want. Thousands of messages flow and they cannot wait that long.
    Do you have suggestions.

  • Synch proxy with synch JDBC using BPM

    Hi All,
    I have a synch proxy to synch jdbc interface. Actually I need to make two JDBC calls by one synch proxy and collect their data in PI and send all data back once to proxy.
    Since I need to make two calls and collect data in one table and send it back to proxy I will have to use bpm in it.
    Can anyone please suggest the architure and suitable blog for the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Atul

    Check for sync - async bridge scenarios in the forum. You would need a BPM stadard sync-async bridge pattern.

  • Processing large volume of idocs using BPM Processing

    Hi,
    I have a scenario in which SAP R/3 sends large volume say 30,000 DEBMAS Idocs to XI. XI then sends data to 3 legacy systems using jdbc adapter.
    I created a BPM Process which waits for 4 hrs to collect all the idocs. This is what my BPM does:
    1. Wait for 4 hrs Collect the idocs
    2. For every idoc do a IDOC->JDBC Message transformation.
    3. Append to a Big List
    4. Loop at the Big list from step 4 and in the loop for
    5. Start counter from 0 and increment. Append to a Small List.
    6. if counter reaches 100 then send a Batch JDBC Message in send step.
    7. Reset counter after every send.
    8. Process remaining list i.e if there was an odd count of say 5300 idoc then the remaining 53 idocs will be sent in anther block.
    After sending 5000 idocs to above BPM following problems are there:
    1. I cannot read the workflow log as system does not respond.
    2. In the For Each loop which loops through the big list of say 5000 idocs only first pass of 100 was processed after that the workflow item is not moving ahead. It remains in the status as "STARTED" but I do not see further processing.
    Please tell me why certain Work Items are stuck is it becuase I have reached upper limit and is this the right approach? The Main BPM Process is also hanging from last 2 days.
    I have concerns about using BPM for processing such high volume of idocs in production. Please advice and thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
    Please read SAPs Checklist for proper usage of BPMs: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/d92e428819da2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
    One point i'm wondering about is why do you send the IDocs out of R/3 one by one and don't use packaging there? From a performance stand point this is much better than a bpm.
    The SAP Checklist states the following:
    <i>"No Replacement for Mass Interfaces
    Check whether it would not be better to execute particular processing steps, for example, collecting messages, on the sender or receiver system.
    If you only want to collect the messages from one business system to forward them together to a second business system, you should do so by using a mass interface and not an integration process.
    If you want to split a message up into lots of individual messages, also use a mass interface instead of an integration process. A mass interface requires only a fraction of the back-end system and Integration-Server resources that an integration process would require to carry out the same task. "</i>
    Also you might want to have a look at the IDoc packaging capabilities within XI (available since SP14 i believe): http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7a/00143f011f4b2ee10000000a114084/content.htm
    And here is Sravyas good blog about this topic: /people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/12/09/xiidoc-message-packages
    If for whatever reason you can't or don't want to use the IDoc packets from R/3 or XI there are other points on which you can focus for optimizing your process:
    In the section "Using the Integration Server Efficiently" there is an overview on which steps are costly and which steps are not so costly in their resource consumption. Mappings are one of the steps that tend to consume a lot of resources and unless it is a multi mapping that can not be executed outside a BPM there is always the option to do the mapping in the interface determination either before or after the BPM. So i would sugges if your step 2 is not a multi mapping you should try to execute it before entering the BPM and just handle the JDBC Messages in the BPM.
    Wait steps are also costly steps, so reducing the time in your wait step could potentially lead to better performance. Or if possible you could omitt the wait step and just create a process that waits for 100 messages and then processes them.
    Regards
    Christine

  • Error: 1:n multi-mapping using BPM for file to file scenario

    Hi. Iu2019m trying to do 1:n multi-mapping using bpm scenario. I use file to file. Input file consists of many records and then I want many record to be transformed into many file at target system. I follow step in http://www.riyaz.net/blog/xipi-1n-multi-mapping-using-bpm/. However, I have a problem when file is retrieved in to XI. It doesnu2019t create any output file.
    When I look at SXMB_MONI, it shows u201CNo object type found for the message Check that the corresponding process is activated.u201D Besides, it shows error message "Unable to perform action for selected message" when i clikc at PE in SXMB_MONI.
    I have check at many previous posts with the same error message but still couldnu2019t solve it. I already activate my BPM and check that status in SXI_CACHE = 0. There is noting left in change list of my IR and ID.
    Here is my design and configuration.

    Anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Pavin

    Hi,
    Yes, thats the problem.
    You are creating file from test tab of  1..N mapping .
    In case of 1..N mappping in mapping Extra tags of messages are addded to the data.As shown here:-
    Messages
          Message1
               MessageType
    When you use this mapping to generate xml message then it will add additional tags for <Messages> and <Message1>, which is not correct. it should only have structure of you MT.
    So remove start and end tag of <Messages> and <Message1> from your data file. Mentioned below in bold.
    <xml......>
    <Messages>
    <Message1>
    <MT_...>
    </MT_...>
    </Message1>
    </Messages>
    This should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Sami.

  • Problem in Idoc to JDBC scenario(uses BPM)

    Hi
    I have a IDoc to JDBC scenario which also uses BPM.
    The JDBC adapter has to execute a Stored procedure on Sybase database.
    I work on XI3.0 SP14.
    When I am sending IDoc to XI it is failing in CALL adapter step.
    The error message is "Unable to convert sender service TruckLiftAccountUpdate to an ALE logical system".
    However this scenario is working in Production with same settings.But it is not working in Quality and it is giving the above error.
    Can any one help me in this.
    Thanks in advance.
    KP

    Thanks for your quick reply..
    All the settings are in place.
    Here the Idoc is coming to BPM and BPM cant able to execute the stored procedure.and we are getting the error from BPM to target system.
    Here error is unable to convert the sender service(from BPM service) to ALE
    logical system.
    same settings are there in Production but it is not working in QA.

    pls help
    manian

    Hi manian,
    I was having a look to Illustration of Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM in SAP Exchange Infrastructure blog.
    The functions are not the same. I mean, yours and blogs functions.
    Each function has two parameters, Name and node. Furtheremore, in the blogs' functions is using arrays and you don't.
    So, the right code will be
    1.selectnodeifA
    for(int i=0;i<=node.length();i++)
    if(Name<i>.equals("A"))
    result.addValue(Node<i>);
    However, if you don't need an advance user defined function as you want to process just one element of the node's queue, you will not need to use for sentence.
    Something like:
    1.selectnodeifA
    // for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
    if(Name.equals("A"))
    result.addValue(Node);
    Hope it is usefull for you.

  • Error Processing in BPM

    Hi All,
    My source is Database and my receiver is RFC
    RFC response has to be evaluated for errors. Xpath used for evaluating errors If there are errors there should be an email to a support group
    (we have to use email adapter here)
    Can anybody guide me to implement the below logic in BPM:
    If RFC Return code = E then there are errors.
    If RFC Return code = E,
      and  if RFC Error number = 'XXX'
            then retry the RFC again after 30 mins.
    Error number XXX represent the record is being locked on the ECC side, So retry for XXX error number.
    This has to happen for 4 times and still there are get error then need to mark the RFC response as errorand update the database.
    How to acheive this in BPM???
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I will tell you how to search for that :
    1. find  BPM blogs in the forum - to get the idea of a BPM
    2. then find the blogs about SOAP adapter for WS call and JDBC call and ABAP proxy (for SAP)
    3. then combine it and you have the scenario

  • JDBC To File-Using BPM.

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario in which i need to poll data from two tables in same DB and then merge it and put a single file in File server.
    I have implemented it using BPM with constant correletion.The scenario was working fine.
    Since the JDBC adapter is polling data based on dates(client req) some days data wont be there for a particular date and file may not get generated.If both files are not getting generated then it is fine. But sometimes only one file will be generated and fork steps hangs indefenitely.So my entire design fails here.
    Could someone thelp me in a better solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Lekshmi.

    Hi ,
    I have included a deadline and exception branch in my scenario and it seems to be working fine.Need to do some more testing in this regard.
    But i have one doubt regarding this issue.In the transformation step i have used multi message mapping where i have mentioned the occurrence of both input messages as 1. I was expecting this scenario to throw an error at transformation step (since only one message was given as input )once i have made the changes but surprisingly it didnt happen.Could you pls tell me why this didnt happen..
    Rgds,

      -Kerberos accepts domain user names, but not local user names.
      -The Service Principal Name (SPN) for the remote computer name and port does not exist.
      -The client and remote computers are in different domains and there is no trust between the two domains.
     After checking for the above issues, try the following:
      -Check the Event Viewer for events related to authentication.
      -Change the authentication method; add the destination computer to the WinRM TrustedHosts configuration setting or use HTTPS transport.
     Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated.
       -For more information about WinRM configuration, run the following command: winrm help config.

    Hi Adam,
    I'm a little unclear about which SPNs you were looking for, in which case could you confirm you were checking that on the computer object belonging to the actual destination host it has the following SPNs registered?
    WSMAN/<NetBIOS name>
    WSMAN/<FQDN>
    If you were actually trying to use WinRM to connect to the remote forest's domain controllers, then what you said makes sense, but I was caught between assuming this was the case or you meant another member server in that remote forest.
    Also, from the client trying to connect to this remote server, are you able to telnet to port 5985? (If you've used something other than the default, try that port)
    If you can't, then you've got something else like a firewall (be that the Windows firewall on the destination or a hardware firewall somewhere in between) blocking you at the port level, or the listener on the remote box just isn't working as expected. I
    just replied to your other winrm post with steps for checking the latter, so I won't repeat myself here.
    If you can telnet to it and the SPNs exist, then you might be up against something called selective authentication which has to do with how the trust was defined. You can have a read of
    this to learn a bit more about selective trusts and whether or not it's affecting you.
    Cheers,
    Lain
