I would have to look up the Canadian set of rules for NAFTA, but they would likely be the same or similar to those for the USA.
In a nutshell, be a citizen, have the degree (Engineering  / Computer Science / Technologist), have the experience and expertise.
I forget the other parts of the requirements.  I can send you a link if you'd like.  I've been working since 7:30am, so my brain started to slow down... I can't recall all the details.
Do you have bandwidth available?  I might be able to send some work your way.  Any experience with cRIO, cFP, WSN?
As for integration, you could do a day trip over here..  Well... extended day... We'll call it a metric day.. (100 hours) LOL!
(for people reading this...  they may not realize that we know each other..    )

  • Posting Jobs or People Seeking Employment

    I wish everybody would list their state and/or country when they post job openings or when seeking employment, or just REMOTE if they are only available that way. I don't have time to sift through all the posts when looking for someone. A simple line for the subject matter would be:
    OH, USA- CLD Certified, Looking for short-term contract work.
    Then in the body of the message list all your credentials and availability.
    Thanks.

  • Cortana -not available in your region (Canada)

    So I just updated my preview to the latest and greatest, and it seems Cortana is not available in my region.
    Can't find any articles to indicate that Canada does not have access to Cortana.... tried playing with the regions but I'm assuming its smart enough to use my outlook.com info.
    Anyone shed some light on this?
    Thanks,

    To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an Internet connection, a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.
    The Windows Store in Technical Preview will have many (but not all)
    Windows 8.1 apps available. (Apps for Windows 10 Technical Preview will not be available for PCs running

    I will be finishing my physics PhD within the next few months and I'm looking for an opportunity to work with hardware systems. During my three and half year PhD I have used LabVIEW very frequently during extensive laboratory work. Some examples of my LabVIEW work include:
    Control and measurement via serial connections, e.g. class IV lasers, motorised or piezo driven microscope stages, signal generator.
    Image capture / camera control, including at fairly high speeds, via GigE vision and Camera Link.
    Image processing and particle tracking.
    Data analysis.
    Control of a machine that essentially performs micro-scale 3D printing by generating coordinates that describe the desired structure and the desired "scan lines" for printing.
    CLD qualified.
    I have also worked to another person's software specifications. I have a masters degree (MSci) in physics.

  • Why can't I update the iphoto app on my mac (says not available in Canada)?

    When I click on my iphoto it says it cannot open because it needs to be updated, yet when I try to update it in the App store it says it is not available in my region (Canada). This makes no sense, why shouldn't I be able to have/use iPhoto anymore?

    Here's another possible means to get iphoto 9.6.1 posted by Terence Devlin:

    Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
    If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
    Install the App from the App Store.
    Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

    One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
    iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • Apple TV in Canada

    I am considering Apple TV in the hope that it will become more economical than cable TV. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and have a HD TV. I recently read an article in a magazine looking at the cost breakdown of cable, Apple TV and Mac Mini over one and three years and was quite amazed. However, this was based in the US and I am not sure of the access to free sites like Hulu and deals like Netflix ($8.99/month for 1 DVD download at a time) in Canada. I can get into Hulu, but they don't seem to have many full episodes. Netflix doesn't exist in Canada and most internet DVD companies seem to rely on the slow mail system rather than having downloadable DVDs. So, I am not sure how economical it would be to cancel my cable subscription when free TV downloads and good DVD deals are not as available in Canada. So my questions:
    1. How well does Apple TV work in Canada?
    2. In your experience, is it more economical than cable TV?
    3. We typically watch shows like Two and Half Men, CSI and CSI:NY, How I Met Your Mother, Mad Men, and Heroes; channels like HGTV; and sports like the Tour de France (OLN) and Australian Rules Football (Setanta). I know we can get most of the TV shows, but what about HGTV, OLN and Setanta?
    4. Do you know of any internet DVD company that offers monthly deals similar to Netflix for Canadian customers?
    5. I have downloaded Hotspot Shield which gives access to US iTunes and Netflix, but I believe this has a download limit. Does anyone have any experience with this in Canada and how good is it in accessing the Netflix deal for instance?
    6. What's the difference between Apple TV and Mac Mini for TV and DVD?
    Thanks

    1. How well does Apple TV work in Canada?
    Any discussions about modifying the Apple TV, even through a software hack, can't be posted here. But I can assure you, for a variety of reasons, if you're looking to access Hulu and Netflix from Canada, you won't be able to with an ATV.
    2. In your experience, is it more economical than cable TV?
    Only you can answer that, since it depends on how much TV you watch. If you like to watch live sports events, etc, you're better off sticking with cable.
    Are you talking about "getting" them through the iTunes Store? If so, take a look. If you're talking about getting them through a Boxee hack, then once again, this is not the place to discuss.
    4. Do you know of any internet DVD company that offers monthly deals similar to Netflix for Canadian customers?
    Again, are you talking about downloadable media, or the old Netflix drop-it-in-the-mail model? If it's the former, no, I don't know of any. If it's the latter, there is a Canadian company doing this, but for the life of me I can't recall their name at the moment. For what it's worth, I only rent movies through the Apple TV now. Love it.
    5. I have downloaded Hotspot Shield which gives access to US iTunes and Netflix, but I believe this has a download limit. Does anyone have any experience with this in Canada and how good is it in accessing the Netflix deal for instance?
    Dude, you have violated so many of the terms of this forum, not to mention your iTunes Store user agreement. You may want to post these questions elsewhere.
    6. What's the difference between Apple TV and Mac Mini for TV and DVD?
    Search this forum for Winston Churchill's excellent guide to the differences between the two, and his evaluation of each.

  • When I go into my email account through Safari, I cannot see all of my messages.  26 may show on the screen but it says I have 32.  However, at the bottom right it appears as if all the messages are showing and the arrow to get more is not highlighted.

    When I go to my email account through Safari, I cannot see all of my messages.  It says there are 34 but I can only see 26.   However, at the bottom right  the arrows to go to the next screen are not highlighted?  I also cannot scroll any further down.  Does anyone know how to scroll down to see all of my messages?  I use Travel-net Communications as my email provider (Ottawa, On, Canada).

    hey ,
    if it is showing you 34 mails them it is correct. when you see your mail. apple has a smart way of arranging your mail.suppose you recieve 4 mails from one email id it will show you under one highlighted mail. so when you open a mail from anyone trying scrolling it down and you will find your missing mails.

  • Can I download from different iTunes accounts on one device

    Hi,
    I am interested in buying an iPad and would like to know:
    1) Is it possible for me to use two iTunes accounts to download apps from two different regions (Canada & China) on one device?
    2) If no, is there a workaround or some suggestions?
    3) If yes, how can it be done and can I use more than one laptop to manage the iTunes library of this device?
    Thanks in advance

    Yes. Create a new Windows user account.

  • How to use Oracle partitioning with JPA @OneToOne reference?

    Hi!
    A little bit late in the project we have realized that we need to use Oracle partitioning both for performance and admin of the data. (Partitioning by range (month) and after a year we will move the oldest month of data to an archive db)
    We have an object model with an main/root entity "Trans" with @OneToMany and @OneToOne relationships.
    How do we use Oracle partitioning on the @OneToOne relationships?
    (We'd rather not change the model as we already have millions of rows in the db.)
    On the main entity "Trans" we use: partition by range (month) on a date column.
    And on all @OneToMany we use: partition by reference (as they have a primary-foreign key relationship).
    But for the @OneToOne key for the referenced object, the key is placed in the main/source object as the example below:
    @Entity
    public class Employee {
    @Id
    @Column(name="EMP_ID")
    private long id;
    @OneToOne(fetch=FetchType.LAZY)
    @JoinColumn(name="ADDRESS_ID")
    private Address address;
    EMPLOYEE (table)
    EMP_ID FIRSTNAME LASTNAME SALARY ADDRESS_ID
    1 Bob Way 50000 6
    2 Sarah Smith 60000 7
    ADDRESS (table)
    ADDRESS_ID STREET CITY PROVINCE COUNTRY P_CODE
    6 17 Bank St Ottawa ON Canada K2H7Z5
    7 22 Main St Toronto ON Canada     L5H2D5
    From the Oracle documentation: "Reference partitioning allows the partitioning of two tables related to one another by referential constraints. The partitioning key is resolved through an existing parent-child relationship, enforced by enabled and active primary key and foreign key constraints."
    How can we use "partition by reference" on @OneToOne relationsships or are there other solutions?
    Thanks for any advice.
    /Mats
