Yes it is!
You display the whole table (all lines and all fields), than you compare it line by line. Some sorting might be useful
On the other hand if there is at least one key field in the table (which is always the case), there should not be much duplicate entries...

What is your Forms version? Is your form in "Form" (single record) or "Tabular" (multi-record) layout? You can't use the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY() built-in to change the number of records that are displayed - this must be done during design through the Forms Builder.

Selecting certain records using checkbox

Hi,
I have created 2 interactive reports, with the underlying tables linked by an ID number.
Using the APEX advanced tutorials, I have created a checkbox for each row in Report 1 and I want the checked rows to be displayed in Report 2, once I press the 'View Selected Records' button in Report 1.
This is the code given in the tutorial for the process:

How to ENQUEUE to prevent using SE16 to change data?

Hi All,
When we use SE16 to modify a database table record, a lock entry would be created in the SAP system (can be seen from SM12).
From the Lock Entry List, we know that SE16 makes use of the enqueue function module ENQUEUE_E_TABLEE to lock the record. However, when I try to use the same function module (ENQUEUE_E_TABLEE) in my codes to lock a particular record in the database, I am still able to use SE16 to modify that record.
Why is that so? Thanks.

I use the same user (but different SAP session) to (1) run the report program (containing the function module) and (2) run SE16.
Expected Result:
After I run my report program to ENQUEUE that particular record, I SHOULD NOT be able to edit that record using SE16.
Actual Result:
After I run my report program to ENQUEUE that particular record, I AM STILL able to edit that record using SE16.

This code i used with Ruby on Rail to connect with MySQL.
When i used with FireFox browse after i create new user
success it refresh the new record in Datagrid. But for the Internet
Explorer Datagrid not refresh it because of it display the old
recode before create.
So i don't know it problem by Internet Explorer or my script.
i hope someone can help me the solve this problem.

If you restrict the selection, a record value outside of that selection is not acceptable and will give you this error. This is how BPS works.
You need to restrict on some other char so BASIC1 doesn't come in, but this value should be part of any selection on ZSEGMENT field for it to be accepted back.

How can i post the fields in the screen by selecting a record

I have a problem in dialog programming.
I need to populate the fields in the screen by selecting a single record.
For example,
    Screen consists of 'CARRID, CONNID,FLDATE... fields.
    By pressing F4 in CARRID field it will display the contents from database table and display the records. If i select the record LH 0400 ... record then automatically the connid field should fill with the contents of the record i.e., 0400 and similarly the remaining fields.
   How can i do this in dialog programming?
   I tried with F4IF_INT_table_.. function module. There is a table parameter DYNmapping. But dont know how to use it? Can any body explain me how to use it?

Thanks for your reply. I solved my problem. It is working with the table parameter 'DYNPFLD_MAPPING' in the function module 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'.
With your logic we can't decide which record is selected. Because there can be multiple records for a single CARRID.
My question is how to post the entire record into the screen fields at a time? It is possible with the parameter I specified inthe above said function module.
With dictionary reference it will fetch the entire entries from the Check table.

I created Proxy service(ALSB3.0) to get records from DB table. I have used Xquery function(fn-bea:execute-sql()). Using simple SQL query I got single record, but my table having multiple records. Please suggest how to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql() and how to assign them in ALSB variable.

Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
For example:
fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
Id Name
01 XXX
02 YYY
03 ZZZ
I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below
<student>
<Name>XXX</Name>
</student>
I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.
Please suggest.

How to delete the duplicated records, not just surpress the records?

I am new to CR. Right now I am doing a project which needs CR get query from Oracle. I got the query from Oracle. There are records with duplicated fields. For example (the following only show part of fields):
ID    body_code
1            10
2             10
3             15
4              15
5              15
6              16
I need to only select records (not surpress, because I will do some caluculate later) like following:
ID         body_code
1             10
2              15
3               16
I tried to creat selection fomula in fomula workshop, shown as follows:

but CR said next can be evaluated. I think it must have something to do with the print-time. So what show I do to delete the duplicated records.Thank you very much.

Try this:
Insert a group on body_code. Then create a running total called Distinct Count. Field to summarize -> ID, Evaluate on change of group Group # 1 Body Code, and Never Reset.
Then insert a chart in the report header:
In the advanced layout, select body_code on change of and select Distinct Count running total in the Show values.

List View selecting wrong record

I have placed a List view on my dashboard. i am using direct connection with BI and am populating the list view with the data retrieved from the connection. the problem is that when i launch the dashboard and select a record from the list view, it selects the record above the one on which i click. I want the list view the select the record which i click on. How do i rectify this.
