Hi,
sorry about that. Its running now, was using an older version of the script, this is not the correct one.
Any idea as to how i could write a shell script so that an application called TWS can execute the SQL and be passed back a success or failure code, 0= success >0= error for a sript very similar to the one mentioned before hand?
Thanks

  • Is it possible to monitor State change of a .CSV file using powershell scripting ?

    Hi All,
    I just would like to know Is it possible to monitor State change of a .CSV file using powershell scripting ? We have SCOM tool which has that capability but there are some drawbacks in that for which we are not able to utilise that. So i would like
    to know is this possible using powershell.
    So if there is any number above 303 in the .CSV file then i need a email alert / notification for the same.

    Hi Jrv,
    Thank you very much. I modified the above and it worked.
    Import-Csv C:\SCOM_Tasks\GCC2010Capacitymanagement\CapacityMgntData.csv | ?{$_.Mailboxes -gt 303} | Export-csv -path C:\SCOM_Tasks\Mbx_Above303.csv;

    Mailboxex - is the line which i want to monitor if the values there are above 303. And it will extract the lines with all above 303 to another CSV file and 2nd is a mail script to email me the same with the attachment of the 2nd extract.

  • Select Query Results to a .csv file????

    Hello All,
    I have a question in Oracle, if anyone knows how to do this. Please help me.
    How can I get the results of select query in Oracle loaded into a Excel file (.csv) file.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sarada.

    Hi Sarada,
    as a csv is nothing more than a list of Comma Separated Values your best shot is to simply read do this with your values. read each value in an iteration add them to a string / stringbuffer and add a "," between them. When you read then next line in the ResultSet you just add a carriage return to the end. Depending on what format you want your csv list in.
    After you written all of this into a String you write this out to a file (unless you want to do it slower and write them line by line whenever you read them).
    Hope this helps,
    Kalle

  • Create csv file for data in tables

    Hi All,
    I need to "export" data for about 60 tables in one of my databases to a csv file format using a "|" as a separator.
    I know I can do this using a query like:
    select col1 || '|' || col2 || '|' || col3 from table;
    Some of my tables have more than 50 columns so I'm guessing there is an easier way to do this than to construct select SQL statements for each table?
    Thanks in advance.

    I would point out that the OP did not identify the target for the files so it could be an non-Oracle database or Excel in which case external tables would not work since Oracle only writes to external tables in datapump format.  If the target is another Oracle database then external tables would be an option.  If external tables are an option then insert/select over a database link would be a potential alternate approach to using csv files.
    I use a SQL script to generate the Select statement to create my csv files.

  • JDBC Sender MSSQL Stored Procedure - Multiple Select Statements

    Hello all,
    I will proceed to tell you my problem, for which solution I request your kind advice:
    Im working in a project for a retailer, which consists in sending the information from erp and sql server to pos thru XI interfaces.
    One of the interfaces is about sending items from sql server to a file so the pos can load it into the system. For doing so I have devloped an stored procedure which function is to return several select statements as many stores the retailer might have, so they can have a different file per store along with its corresponding items in it.
    The thing is that XI just gets the first select statement and creates the corresponding file, but it seems to ignore the remaining responses as I'm neither getting any file nor an error afterwards.
    So, my question is: is XI capable of handling multiple select responses from an Stored Procedure in graphical mapping??? Or am I just wasting my time trying?
    Thanks in advice for your help.
    Regards.

    Hello Ramkumar,
    After 5 days trying, I finally made it work out applying your advice. Below the short explanation of what I did:
    My Source structure is: Main Node->Row->Records (Material Number, StoreNum, Price, Status)
    My Target structure is: Main Node->File Node->Record Node->Records ( Material Number, Price, Status)
    The key was to make all the occurrences happen against StoreNum node. So, based on what you adviced these two where the key mappings:
    1) The Mapping that will create a new file for each different store that comes in the query (In my case, query was already sort by store using an sql "order by" function, if not you can also use xi node function "sort" as Ramkumar suggested)
    StoreNum->RemoveContext->SplitbyValue (Value Changed)->Collapse Contexts->File Node
    2) The Mapping that will create each record in its corresponding store file:
    StoreNum->RemoveContext->SplitbyValue (Value Changed)->Record Node
    And Voilá !!! It worked.
    Thanks very much Ramkumar.
    Regards.

  • Correlation Between several Different Arrays & Saving Results Into a.CSV file

    Hello Everyone!
    I have 3 arrays from which I initialize a .CSV file when I run my VI (
    as you can see in the example file.)( I use data from other arrays as
    well but it is not important )
    The First array "customer Number" can be from 0 - 15
    The second array "Customer Present" is a Boolean.
    The Third array will contain some fix values like " milk, meat, clothing....." it will have 14 different categories.
    The Fifth array will contain the quantity of the products from each category from the previous array.
    My job is to add in my initialized .CSV file the values from the 4th and 5th array but only for the customers that are present.
    The result should look something like the second part of the doc I give( which sadly, I created by hand)
    If no customer has bought something from a category it should not be mentioned.
    Also it would be nice for me if I separated the file for each customer ( create 16 different files )
    I hope someone has some idea, because I don't.
    I figured out that I should have the bool array into a case structure and if the customer is present then........
    Thank you in advance!

    I don't understand where correlation fits into this...
    It seems to me that you're trying to write out a file from the values on front panel controls, rather than the other way around, as Bernd was suggesting. I see no actual read functions in your screenshot. What does your front panel look like? Can you post the VI and give a brief description on how it's supposed to be used? You seem to have some front panel arrays that you're indexing out. For this you should be using auto-indexing rather than using a fixed constant. Also, the local variables are completely unnecessary - what I see is text-based programming.

  • Output SELECT statement to CSV file

    Can someone advise the best approach please
    I'm trying to create a CSV file from the output of a SELECT statement in ApEx as a PL/SQL block. I initially thought the simplest approach would be to use SPOOL and then execute the SELECT startment but I think this is a SQLPlus command and can't be used in PL/SQL.
    I then tried using the 'UTL_FILE.PUT' command which works for a single record but I'm not sure how to implement this where the SELECT returns multiple records.
    DECLARE
    fHandler UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
    v_DAT VARCHAR(20);
    v_Handle VARCHAR2(20);
    BEGIN
    SELECT DATA INTO v_DAT FROM HIP_TEST;
    v_Handle := CONCAT('HIP_',CONCAT(TO_CHAR(sysdate,'yyyymmddhhmi'),'.csv'));
    fHandler := UTL_FILE.FOPEN('/nfsacademy/amp/live', v_Handle, 'w');
    UTL_FILE.PUTF(fHandler, v_DAT);
    UTL_FILE.FCLOSE(fHandler);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN utl_file.invalid_path THEN
    raise_application_error(-20000, 'Invalid path. Create directory or set UTL_FILE_DIR.');
    END;

    Hi,
    You can try this.
    DECLARE
    fHandler UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
    v_DAT VARCHAR(20);
    v_Handle VARCHAR2(20);
    BEGIN
    v_Handle := CONCAT('HIP_',CONCAT(TO_CHAR(sysdate,'yyyymmddhhmi'),'.csv'));
    fHandler := UTL_FILE.FOPEN('/nfsacademy/amp/live', v_Handle, 'w');
    FOR I IN (SELECT DATA FROM HIP_TEST)
    LOOP
         UTL_FILE.PUTF(fHandler, i.data);
    END LOOP;
    UTL_FILE.FCLOSE(fHandler);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN utl_file.invalid_path THEN
    raise_application_error(-20000, 'Invalid path. Create directory or set UTL_FILE_DIR.');
    END;** NOT TESTED **
    Alternatively you can also use DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE.

  • How to generate a second csv file with different report columns selected?

    Hi. Everybody:
    How to generate a second csv file with different report columns selected?
    The first csv file is easy (report attributes -> report export -> enable CSV output Yes). However, our users demand 2 csv files with different report columns selected to meet their different needs.
    (The users don't want to have one csv file with all report columns included. They just want to get whatever they need directly, no extra columns)
    Thank you for any help!
    MZ

    Hello,
    I'm doing it usually. Typically example would be in the report only the column "FIRST_NAME" and "LAST_NAME" displayed whereas
    in the csv exported with the UTL_FILE the complete address (street, housenumber, additions, zip, town, state ... ) is written, these things are needed e.g. the form letters.
    You do not need another page, just an additional button named e.g. "export_to_csv" on your report page.
    The csv export itself is handled from a plsql procedure "stored procedure" ( I like to have business logic outside of apex) which is invoked by pressing the button "export_to_csv". Of course the stored procedure can handle also parameters
    An example code would be something like
    PROCEDURE srn_brief_mitglieder (
         p_start_mg_nr IN NUMBER,
         p_ende_mg_nr IN NUMBER

  • Is there a way to select a certain box of elements from a csv file and read that into LabVIEW?

    Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to select only a certain "box" of elements from a .csv file in LabVIEW? I have LabVIEW 2011 and my main goal is to take two arrays and graph them against each other. I can import the .csv file just fine and separate each row and each column to be its own, but say I have an 8X8 but want to graph the middle 4X5 or something like that. Is there any way to extract an array without starting at the beginning and without ending at the end? Thank you in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Szklanam,
    as a CSV file is just a TXT file with a different suffix you can read a certain number of lines of that file. So you can limit the number of rows in your resultung array. To limit the number of columns you still have to use ArraySubset, so maybe it's a lot easier to read the full CSV file and pick the interesting spots with ArraySubset...

  • How can I export multiple selections in a list box into a .csv file?

    Hi all, I've created a form in Acrobat X with a list box enabled for multiple selections. When I try to export the filled out form into a .csv file, only the first selection shows up. Can anyone help me figure out how to get all selections to export? Thanks!

    Thank you for your quick response!
    Once a recipient fills out the form (which has two questions with list boxes and multiple selection enabled) they send the completed form back to me. When I open the completed form, I am given the option add the completed form to a reponse file which was set up when I distributed the form. When I open the reponse file, it lists all of the responses in rows, and the values that were chosen in the form are arranged in columns. In this file, the list boxe columns have multiple values, separated by commas (which is what I'm looking for). At this point there is an option to export into a .csv file or an .xml file. If I choose the .csv file and open in excel, only the first selection shows in the list box column rather than all selections that were initially made by the responder.

  • Import From CSV File statement runs forever, no error, does not finish

    Hello,
    I am trying to import a CSV file in a JAVA program, with the following statement:
    IMPORT FROM CSV FILE '/debug/testdatabase/FILE.csv'
    INTO "JOSEPH"."TEST_TABLE"
    WITH COLUMN LIST IN FIRST ROW
    RECORD DELIMITED BY '\n'
    FIELD DELIMITED BY '\t' ERROR LOG '/debug/testdatabase/file.err'
    THREADS 10
    BATCH 10000
    I have two HANA instances on different machines A and B:
    Both machines run HANA version 1.00.74.00.389160 (NewDB100_REL), while the OS is
    SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11.1 on machine A and
    SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11.2 on machine B.
    The statement above runs fine on machine A and the rows are imported properly from JAVA as well as when executed from HANA Studio SQL console.
    If I copy the file to machine B and try the exact same statement with the same file, it does not finish (neither from JAVA nor from HANA Studio SQL console). There is no error either. It cannot be cancelled, only a HANA restart stops the statement. Also the sample file I use has only 2 rows, and memory does not seem to be a problem.
    I seem to have a similar problem to the one described here, but the answers there do not help me: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3396582 I specified the record delimiter, and I used a python script to check for any strange characters that are not supposed to be there, but didn't find any.
    If I copy the file to my windows PC and use the "File Menu -> Import -> SAP Hana Content -> Data from Local file" function, it imports the file correctly into B, but I need to be able to do it from JAVA.
    Machine A administration view:
    Machine B administration view:
    If you have any idea what might cause this behavior or where I can find more information on this problem please give me a hint.

    Hi Joseph,
    First from the pics, the revision of your SAP HANA instance is 73 instead of 74. Since I have no identical environment, I cannot test it for you. But can you try the simplest scenario? You can create a table with only one column table try to import a CSV file with only one row.
