Select when to use a limited subscription

Hello,
I've got a limited subscription valid to call to both landline and mobile phones. Since the subscription is limited and it's more expensive to call mobile phones, I don't want to use it when calling landline phones, but just pay those calls with my remaning credit.
Is there any way to select when a limited subscription is going to be used? For example, I can set use/don't use subscription minutes for the next call?

This is from a fellow with roots in WAN routing; take it for what's it's worth.
I always use GRE when the equipment at both ends support it.
When utilizing a GRE tunnel you have routing at your finger tips. The forwarding decision over the tunnel is based on a routing decision. You can utilize all the dynamic routing protocols over the tunnel interface as if it were a physical interface. The GRE tunnel can be encrypted and when it's sent out over public networks such as the internet it should be encrypted. The encryption decision for a GRE tunnel is based on the source/destination addresses of the tunnel and not the traffic going through the tunnel. This simplifies the encryption decision into a 1 line ACL. It also decouples the forwarding decision from the encryption decision.
When utilizing a standard IPSEC tunnel the forwarding decision is based on an ACL. In essence the forwarding decision is based on the encryption decision. This decision is based on an ACL that is static and must be updated to increase or decrease functionality. This critical ACL must be an exact match at both locations to ensure stability.
Since I'm a WAN routing fellow I'm always more comfortable having a forwarding decision that's based on routes/routing protocols versus static ACL's.
GRE has a bit more overhead (24 bytes), but it's well worth it for the functionality gained.
I highly recommend reading this white paper in regard to MTU and tunnels to realize an increased understanding of different tunnel technologies.

How do I get Integer in JTable cell to be selected when edit using keyboard

I have some cells in a JTable, when I double-click on the cell to edit it the current value (if any) is selected and is replaced by any value I enter, which is the behaviour I want. But when I use the keyboard to navigate to the cell and start editing, new values are added to the end of the current value which is not what I want.
I have created my own IntegerCellEditor (see below) and added a focus event or the textfield used when editing to select all the current text but it has no effect, any ideas please ?

But when I use the keyboard to navigate to the cell and start editing,
new values are added to the end of the current value which is not what I want.How does the use know that typing will replace the text and not append? Usually if text is to be deleted, it is highlighted to give the user a visual cue.

Selecting when to use SOCKS

I am creating a server application that will listen on a server socket for connections from the internal network and then access some web services on the internet. Unfortunatly to access those web services I must go through a SOCKS proxy. I have noticed that I must set the socksProxyHost etc, in the constructor for the application in order to get the web service client to connect through the proxy, yet I do not want the server socket that I open up to use the proxy, it must only listen on the local machine. How would I go about doing this?

If the socksProxyHost/socksProxyPort system properties are set then only client connections should be proxied through the SOCKS server (ie: any connection using java.net.Socket). Note that there was a bug in 1.4.0 whereby listener sockets were also proxied by default. This was bug 4659566 which was fixed in 1.4.1.

Drop down menus on iPad, the first selection in the drop down will not load as a selection when using safari, what can I do? I use this for my mobile, on-site auto repair business and not being able to call up repair and diagnostic info and reference for some cars is troublesome for sure. It works fine on the computer and I have installed a remote desktop app as a workaround but it is unreliable because the desktop is not business dedicated and may be off or in use at the time. So is there a known fix for this?
Let me paint a more descriptive picture, visualize 4 drop down selection menus, first one is for year, next one is for make, 3rd one is model and the last one is for engine size/type. If I wanted to choose a 2012 vehicle it wont work because it is the top selection on the list. This can be forced by selecting any other year and then coming back to 2012. Ok fine, but then let's say I wanted to choose Acura as the make, well it won't take it because again it's the top selection. Again you work around it be selecting any other make and coming back to Acura. Ok now select the model, same trend follows. But now since most Acura vehicles come with dedicated engines and no optional engines I have only 1 selection in that final drop down menu and it will not take my selection and therefore never let me proceed to the info I need.
This is also true when ordering parts from my wholesaler's website, they use drop downs and I can only get to that last drop down and then I'm stuck. This is blindingly frustrating, what options do I have. I'm not opposed to any avenue at this point.

Did you ever figure this out? I bought my iPad last week to use in my business as well. I assume you are trying to use alldata? That is where I noticed this same issue. I had problems with identifix working with safari but downloaded a different browser and that works fine. Alldata does not work with either browser. The main difference is that on identifix if there is only one engine selection, it automatically selects the only option and continues to the home page. With alldata you have to make the selection manually even if there is only one option. Honestly if I can't get this to work I am going to return the iPad as it looses a significant amount of usefulness to men

Performance issue in select when subselect is used

We have a select statement that is using a where clause that has dates in. I've simplified the SQL below to demonstrate roughly what it does:
select * from user_activity
where starttime >= trunc(sysdate - 1) + 18/24
and starttime < trunc(sysdate) + 18/24
(this selects records from a table where a starttime field has values beween 6pm today and 6pm yesterday).
We are using this statement to create a materialized view which we refresh daily. Occasionally we have the need to refresh the data for a historic day, which means that we need to go in and change the where lines, e.g. to get data from 3 days ago instead of yesterday, the where clause becomes:
select * from user_activity
where starttime >= trunc(sysdate - 3) + 18/24
and starttime < trunc(sysdate - 2) + 18/24
Having to recreate the views like this is a nuisance, so we decided to be 'smart' and create a table with a setting in that we could use to control the number of days the view looks back. So if our table is called days_ago and field called days (with a single record, set to 1), we now have
select * from user_activity
where starttime >= trunc(sysdate - (select days from days_ago) + 18/24
and starttime < trunc(sysdate - ((select days from days_ago) + 1) + 18/24
The original SQL takes a few seconds to run. However the 'improved' version takes 25 minutes.
The days table only has 1 record in, selecting directly from it is instantaneous. Running the select on its own.
Does anything jump out as being daft in this approach? We cannot explain why the performance has suddenly dropped off for such a simple change.

Can't you define a bind varibale, and use it in your query:

AND starttime < TRUNC (SYSDATE - :days_ago') + (42 / 24) -- 42 = 24 + 18If you really must have a view, then it might be faster if you got the parameter from a SYS_CONTEXT variable, rather than from a table.
Unfortunately, SYS_CONTEXT always returns a string, so you have to be carefule encoding the number as a string when you set the variable, and decoding it when you use the variable:
WHERE starttime >= TRUNC (SYSDATE - TO_NUMBER ( SYS_CONTEXT ('MY_VIEW_NAMESPACE', 'DAYS_AGO'))) + (18 / 24)

If performance is important enough, consider storing the "fiscal day" as a separate (indexed) column. Starting in Oracle 11.1, you can use a virtual column for this. In earleir versions, you'd have to use a trigger. By "fiscal day", I mean:
TRUNC (starttime + (6/24))If starttime is between 18:00:00 on December 28 and 17:59:59 on December 29, this will return 00:00:00 on December 29. You could use it in a query (or view) like this:

Rather than modelling the many-to-many relationship type by means of a multi-valued field, do so by the conventional means of modelling the relationship type by a table which resolves it into two one-to-many relationship types. You give no indication
of what is being modelled here, so let's assume a generic model where there is a many-to-many relationship type between Masters and Slaves, for which you'd have the following tables:
Masters
....MasterID (PK)
....Master
Slaves
....SlaveID (PK)
....Slave
and to model the relationship type:
SlaveMastership
....SlaveID (FK)
....MasterID (FK)
The primary key of the last is a composite one of the two foreign keys SlaveID and MasterID.
You appear to be trying to insert duplicates of a subset of rows from the same table. With the above structure, to do this you would firstly have to insert rows into the referenced table Masters for all columns bar the key, which, presuming this to be
an autonumber column, would be assigned new values automatically. To map these new rows to the same rows in Slaves as the original subset you would then need to insert rows into SlaveMastership with the same SlaveID values as those in Slaves referenced
by those rows in Slavemastership which referenced the keys of the original subset of rows from Masters, and the MasterID values of the rows inserted in the first insert operation. This would require joins to be made between the original and the new subsets
of rows in two instances of Masters on other columns which constitute a candidate key of Masters, so that the rows from SlaveMastership can be identified.

Greyed imaged in the Import dialog box mean you have already imported the photos into Lightroom, so there is no need and no benefit to importing them a second time.
Just go to the Library module, search for the desired photos, and resume working on these photos.

When do we need to use SELECT .. ENDSELECT
Usually we will never use SELECT .. ENDSELECT as it gives very poor performance.
But whenever we read a single Record we will use it as an alternative for SELECT SINGLE in some scenarios.
Eg: When the Full primary key is not specified in the WHERE clause.
SELECT * FROM MARC INTO WA_MARC UP TO 1 ROWS WHERE MATNR = P_MATNR.
ENDSELECT.
And other scenario is when we perform AGGREGATE OPERATIONS.when the Result is only one row.
SELECT SUM( LABST ) FROM MARD INTO V_LABST UP TO 1 ROWS
WHERE MATNR = P_MATNR.
ENDSELECT.
Note: In The Above scenario we cannot use SELECT SINGLE..
REWARD IF HELPFUL.

Select-options and Parameters, when to use what?

Hi gurus,
I have been using Parameters for long. Now I want to choose a range of values, which I need to retrieve from database.
I tried using select-options. Can't I use 2 parameters that is parameter1 and parameter2 and mention query BETWEEN para1 AND
para2, and when I use NO INTERVALS and NO EXTENSION together, it behaves same like parameter, then why did SAP gave these
extensions.

Select-Options Uses keyword 'for'
Parameters Uses keywords 'like', 'type'
Select-Options Uses operator 'in'
Parameters Uses operator '='
Select-Options Provides ranges for selection
Parameters No ranges only single value
Select-Options Creates selection table
Parameters No selection table
Select-Options When i/p blank all records selected
Parameters   When i/p blank none is selected
Note:
Select options can act as parameters by using 'no-extension' 'no intervals', but all records will be selected when i/p is blank unlike parameters.

TS3297 Error when I use search function in itunes store and select an artist

When I use search function in itunes store and select an artist I get this message. Microsoft visual C++ run time library. Prog C:\progfiles\itunes\itunes.exe R6025 - Pure virtual function call . It then shuts down itunes and cannot provide a solution.
Have tried reinstalling itunes but it did not help. Any other ideas?

I have yet to find a solution, but as a work around, do not click or select any of the suggested results while you are typing in your search. Type in your search, and press enter.
