Selection Popup before PDF FactSheet

Hi Experts.
I have a requirement to create a Popup directly before the PDF Fact Sheet.
On this Popup I need Select Options (for example - which "Type of Activity" should be on the Printout)
Afterwards the Select Options should be read in the Smartform (the PDF File)
(Not matching Activities should not be printed)
-> The Select Options have to be saved for each Customer.
Has anybody done something like this before? Or can give me some ideas how to solve this?
As far as I understand I need to...
1) Modify the calling Event "Open PDF Factsheet".
-> Open Selection Popup First.
2 )If Select Options in PDF Fact Sheet had been entered...
-> Save Selection Options for this Customer. (ZTable in Background)
3)... use the Standard Event for "Opening the PDF FactSheet"
4) In the Smartform -> Read Z-Table for the Customer and deselect the not needed information on the Printout...

BP Factsheet - how do I remove the PDF Factsheet option?

Hi
When I select the More button in the Account Overview I am given the choice of selecting a (dynamic) Factsheet and a (static) PDF Factsheet. I wish to remove the option of the (static) PDF Factsheet.
I seem to be able to remove both options if I remove the relevant entry from the view cluster CRMVC_BUIL_PRT. However I wish to keep the option to select the (dynamic) factsheet.
Can this be done through config or is there another way?

Enhance component BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview -> check method IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS. Here you should write your code or comment out code for hiding whatever buttons you dont want on Account Screen.

How to call selection screen before smartforms?

Hi experts,
I wanna call a selection screen before displaying smartforms. In NACE transaction, I have program that calls the smartforms and In that program, I wanna add a selection screen with three fields whom values comes from a value range that prepared by me. I don't wanna use popup selection FM's because as ,I said, I wanna display the values according to a value range.
Do you know any way to do this?

Copy selection from one pdf to another pdf

Who knows how I can copy a selection from one pdf (including pictures and text) into another pdf?

can you post the pdf you're copying from and copying into?
It sounds like they're not well formed PDF files.
As the copied image on the clipboard is pasted as a comment you can also
drag the handles of the image once it's copied into the pdf. It tends to
paste the image at full size making the quality appear less.
failing that, you could try pasting into Word first, then make a new
copy of the image in Word and paste that as a comment instead.
Also you can set the resolution of the image captured by the snapshot
tool in Acrobat's preferences:
edit>preferences>general> 'Used fixed resolution for snapshot tool'
As mentioned before you can also place an existing image (like a jpeg)
into a PDF using the touchup Object tool. (Acrobat Pro or higher)
Select the touchup object tool from tools>advanced editing
then right-click in the pdf and select 'Place image' then select the
image to be inserted.
Some resizing will be required when doing this.

Very strange issue when displaying the Account PDF Factsheet.

We have a very odd situation.
We have one users (user1) who has the same business role as everyone else in the office. They can enter the UI (CRM 7), display an account and then click on the PDF Factsheet option. It seems to process and then simple says 'Done', but there's no PDF document displayed. At first I thought it was an Adobe issue, but, if someone in the office (user2) logs into SAP on user1's PC (in the same Windows session), they can perform the same process in the UI and the PDF is displayed, so it can't be a PC related issue, and must somehow be related to user1's SAP profile or role in some way.
Comparing User1 and User2's roles displays no differences, and their SU01 entries are also the same.
Can anyone come up any recommendations as to what it could be?.
I've more or less exhausted all my options.

I think we have discoverd what is causing the problem.
In CRM 7, when you view an Account (BP) the first assignment block to be show is the account details block. If you have this block collapsed (not expanded) or not on the screen at all then PDF fact sheet does not work. If I then expand the Account details block and review the PDF Fact Sheet, it then displays perfectly.
I guess there must be some dependancy of the PDF Fact sheet on the Account details block. I placed a breakpoint (normal and external) in the method of the class CL_UIU_PRN_ACCOUNT, but this code never gets called when the Account details block is collapsed. I'll have to find out what code is executed before this class/method is called.

Using the right event/method for the PDF Factsheet.

When we click on the button to display the PDF Factsheet the current setup forces a java script to be used, named OpenPopup(). This seems to execute and complete before the DO_HANDLE_EVENT method is called. So if I place a break-point in the do_handle_event the PDF is on the screen before the breakpoint is displayed.
I want to detect the button value BEFORE the PDF Factsheet is created and was wondering if anyone knew how this can be achieved. I'm using B P_HEAD/OVERVIEW.

Hi Jason,
Just a pointer in case you don't know this funcion is the result of browser event (onClientlclick), which will be called immidiately in the browser before server round trip happens.
you can find the code of this function OpenPopup() in the BP_HEAD/AccountDetails html, from here you can debug and analyze what's happening in the application.

Print/Save Selected Text to PDF

I want to use Mozilla Firefox very much for a long time. I like it because the UI is very clean, easy to use, the icon vey pretty. When I use in my Android Mobile, it is very easy and intelligent to select content of page site. Very good!
But I had to install Chrome instead so I've always been using "Print a selected content to PDF" but I couldn't find ways to do that with Firefox. Chrome is doing very good.
I searched all add-ons, pdf printer software but they are only saving or printing all the page (website) to PDF.
Please help me the ways to save a selected content to PDF. Thanks very much.

[SOLVED] How to export a selection in a PDF file as PDF ?

I tried a lot of PDF readers, but none of them supports exporting a selection as PDF. Okular have a similar function, but it can only save selections as JPEG or PNG. Alternatively, I can take a screenshot of a selection in one PDF reader, but still JPEG. I want to use this function to crop a selection such as formulas, vector graphics inside a PDF file. I know Preview.app in OS X works great for me. I am wondering if there is any alternatives for Linux. Thank you so much.

Maybe take a look at: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gpdfx/ or maybe one of PDF's editors like MasterPDFEditor (free for non-commercial use), pdfeditor etc. Or one of converters like pdf2html and after conversion plug html (or the other format) into LaTeX document. Or... make OCR on PDF and then plug document saved in even plain txt format. Also, there is this utility: http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/ … b/pdfpages (and in AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/latex-pdfpages/) - maybe it will be helpful for you (I don't use LaTeX).

Hide RANGE option in Multiple Selection Popup window

This is regarding Parameter option.
In parameter variable,i declared NO INTERVALS option
to get only multiple values.
In multiple selection popup window.i want to select only multiple values not RANGE values. so i want to either disable or hide the f7 option.how to do this.
(we have ranges option at Popup window
when u click f7 or complex selection icon at bottom popup window.)

Selectively Print a PDF

I used to be able to selectively print a PDF, ie print certain pages only. EG an American Express statement, say pages 1, 3 and 4 but none of the other pages. I did this by moving my cursor, which would blink, anywhere on the page I wished to print.
I bought a new laptop about a month ago and I’ve lost this ability. Cursor does not blink and I cannot position it anywhere. I’ve opened a web site, then a PDF, in both IE 11 and Chrome. Makes no difference. ???

What you're describing doesn't make any sense... Moving the cursor so that it blinks in order to select which pages to print??
If you want to print only several page simply go to the Print dialog of Reader and enter the pages you want to print in the "Page to print" section, like "1,3,4" to print just those pages.

Opening PDF Factsheet

Hi,
I have an activity that has a pdf account factsheet attached to it. When i look at the activity and open the automatic PDF factsheet, i get the following message.
No document display because of missing Customizing for HTTP service '/default_host/sap/bc/contentserver' -> See SAP Note 606745
I can view the pdf if i sync this activity to Outlook, but it isnt viewable in the browser.
I have activated the following service but the error seems to still be there.
Any help would be great!

Hi David,
i had almost the same problem. My mistake was, that i forgot to create an anonymous user and assign him to the service. This is necessary, because you are able to do an authorization check for the PDF extract. If you do not need this check, you need at least this anonymous user.
So, what you should try is to create an user with the user type "Service" in tx su01. Then you enter this user in the "logon data" tab of the service "contentserver". Additionally you should set the client of your system and the flag "Use all Logon Procedures".
Make sure that the service is active after these changes.

How to retrieve ECC data to CRM pdf factsheet ?

Hi all,
I need to customize the CRM pdf factsheet with data from R3.
I know how to change the smartform that is behind the PDF factsheet, but I do not know how to retrieve additional data that comes from R3 ...
What is the best way to do this ? I read about RFC call, but can someone give me a clear example on how to do this please ?

Hi,
To do a RFC call to read the data from R3 into CRM, create a Function module in R3 which takes some inputs and retrives the data from R3 and make it as 'Remote-enabled module' in Attributes tab of function module.
Call this function module in CRM (in your case in smartforms) by specifying R3 destination
Call function '<R3 function module>'
     destination <ERP log sys>
ERP destination can be read using the function module
call function 'SMOF_READ_SMOFERPSH'
     exporting
       i_sitetypeid = 'SMOF_ERPSITE'

EXEcutable only starting DLL when calling a popup before.

Hello,
1. I have created a DLL in Labview 8.2 with one VI/function.
2. Then i call this DLL/function in a new VI
3. Then i created an EXE-file of this VI (which calls a DLL)
Attached a screenshot of the code.
As you can see it contains a sequence-structure where in the first part i open a message-popup and in the second-part i call the DLL.
When i run it like this then it works without problems.
The funny thing is:
When i remove the message-popup and create a new EXE-file and run it then nothing happens!
Only the Run-arrow changes to running-mode (and stays there until i close it with taskmanager) but the outputs dont-change (they stay "0").
(The VI in the DLL that i call is very simple. The Inputvalue "11" is added and multiplied. This two results are returned. So nothing special.)
Whats wrong here? Seems like Labview can´t make the DLL-call starting in the second exe-file (without an popup before).
Is this a kind of a bug?
