i have one requirement.
here i am giving some values in parameters(upto 12).

i am having itab with 8 fields. the last field is date.
for this field i have to get data from selection-screen.
Some of these fileds i require in the output. Not all the 12 months .....dates ..with respect to the output...
if output is coming for 3 months jan, feb, mar.
then i have to pass to move the dates to 3 months(jan feb mar) (payment of esi).

hi,
do the necesseray validations in this event and make the parameters visible and invisible.
At selection-screen output : triggered when the selection screen is loaded in memory before being displayed.

Hi All,
I have issues with Selection-Screen field display.
The Actual issue is i had declared a selection screen field as: s_exgen FOR embk-exgen.
EMBK-EXGEN is actually 20 Char length field.
But in output display it is being shown as 18 Char field though i can type in all 20 characters.
But display restricted to 18 Characters only.
Can anybody give me the solution for the same!

Hi,
You can decrease the visible length of the field but you can not increase more than database field length. check SAP help on this :
select-options: s_exgen FOR embk-exgen VISIBLE LENGTH 5.
... VISIBLE LENGTH vlen
Effect
This addition allows you to shorten the visible length of the corresponding screen field on the selection screen to vlen.

SELECT-OPTIONS sel FOR (f).
Additions as in variant 1.
Effect
In this variant, (f) must be a field containing the name of the actual reference field at runtime. The system creates the LOW and HIGH fields as character fields with length 45. However, their appearance on the selection screen is inherited from the reference field whose name is contained in field f at runtime.

Instead of SCREEN-NAME use SCREEN-GROUP1 and for your select options give MODIF ID.
As follows

Selection-screen in the output of the program

Hi,
I want to print the selection criteria ( or Values ) in the output of the program on the RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE HEADER. I am doing code through ALV and I want to include the respective code in 'TOP_OF_PAGE'
If there are no values in the selection screen fields, then I DO NOT Print them. Start the values with the texts, such as 'Material', 'Plant', 'MRP Controller' etc. For single values, print the values separated by commas, For a range of values, print the values separated by '-', For the exclusion of single values, print 'EX' before the values.

Auto Incrementation of a Selection-Screen Field

Hi Folks,
How to Increment a Selection-Screen Field (Consider Parameter)..
When we press a back button on Urs Output List.
( For Example : we have a slelction screen field (parameter) by name customer. When we enter 1000(say) in it then an output list is displayed.
after we press the BACK button on the displayed list the next time the Selectio screen fieeld should Automatically Display an Incremented value of 1001 (instead if 1000).
Plz help me..!!

Selection-screen fields validation for dialog

Requirements: this is a report wherein , depending upon the correct select-options , user will pick some field values from table and some will be entered by the user in the next se51 custom screen for creation of a record in a ztable .
the problem is :without validating select-options values , it calls the se51 screen 100.
How to keep the cursor at the selection-screen field until & unless user enters the correct i/p s .if i/p are correct then only it should call screen 100 otherwise remain in the selection screen only .

I have a requirement like we need to hide and bring back the selection screen fields upon clicking a button( Expand and collapse in the same button) .
in ABAP Query,we can maintain this, for the variant we created.
We need this functionality on the selection-screen presently.
How to achieve this in the selection -screen?

Selection screen fields in query

experts
i have created a query with 5 selection screen fields, now i want to change the order of the fields in the selection screen.
Earlier:
Material

delivery
qty
amount
Now i want

amount qty
In sq01 i tried but there are possibility to change the output fields but not selection screen field sequence.

Hi,
In SQ01, enter the query name and click on the change button.
Next click on the next screen (top left) arrow button until you reach Change query xxxxx: Selections.
Here under the column No enter the number like 1,2,3, 4 ... against the checked fields that want to see in order. Then save the query.

F4 search-help in infoset query selection-screen fields

Hi all,
I created an infoset, and it's corresponding query, and now I need to associate F4 search-help in two of the selection-screen fields. Since they don't have any reference field associated (they are SAP standard table fields), there are no possible values available to select.
How can I do this?
I have already tried to use the "AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT" in the infoset, but I'm not able to do that. When I try to use the select-options generated by the query (SP$00013 and SP$00014) I have a syntax error with "Field not known".
Can you help me? I never done this before, so I really don't have a guess.

I just have one more doubt: I created the selection criterion and I can already see it in the query selection-screen, but it's appearing in the top of the selection-screen, in a different area called "General data selections".
Isn't it possible to include it in the "Report-specific selctions"?

I have a requirement to add a language selection screen field in standard programs (RFSUSA00, RFITEMGL, RFIDPL11, RFBELJ10_NACC, RFIDPL06, RAGITT_ALV01 , RFASLD15 , S_PL0_86000028 , RFCASH00 , RFIDPL18).
This is such that when I select the appropriate language the output should get printed in that paticular language. Can someone help me with how to do this?

Use implicit enhancement option.
Desplay the report in se38.
In Menu, go to Edit > Enhancement Operations > Show Implicit Enhancement Options.
The system will show you lines (in color) where you can add your enhancement.
This function will allow you to add business rules, substitute fields, do extra calculations, and other unique, non-standard requirements.

How position the cursor in selected screen field insted of defualt field

Hi All,
Can you pls let me know , how to position the cursor in selected selection-screen filed. My requirement is i have 3 selection-screen fields, By default cursor is positioned on field screen field, but i want the cursor to be positioned at 3rd screen field to enter input, i want to do this coz i am filling first 2 screen fields with default values, so i need to position the cursor at 3 rd screen filed. let me know if it is possible to achieve this.
