Selective edit in ALV grid

Hi,
I am using the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC function to display a grid. In this grid I have some columns containing checkboxes that are editable. But, depending on some data in de records that I show, some of these checkboxes should be non-editable. Does anyone of you have an idea how to do this?

add the field to the table declaration.

now tell the layout about this styling field.

here the seatmax(carrid) is not editable if the value is'XY' and planetype(connid) is editable if the value is '02'

ls_stylerow-fieldname = 'SEATSMAX' .
ls_stylerow-style = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_style_disabled .

Hi,
the ALV Grid Control allows you to directly hide key columns with NO_OUT (field KEY_SEL is not used).
Field name:NO_OUT
Comp. type:LVC_NOOUT
Dtype(length):Char(1)
SPACE, 'X'
If you set this field, you hide the relevant column in the list. Nevertheless, the column is available in the field selection and can be interactively selected by the user as a display field. The ALV displays the contents of hidden fields on the detail screen for a row in the grid control.

How to detect a selected row in ALV GRID

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to detect and catch an event when a row is selected in an ALV GRID?
I would like to catch such event when the end user presses Ctrl + Shif + Space bar.

In table control, If you goto screen painter and goto table control properties ( f2 ), there is one check-box w/selColumn check that and give column name. Then add that column to your internal table.

I have created a Editable alv grid .
My grid does not contain line selection cloumn so How can I get to know which row is to be changed.

But i need to exit to the program in this case.

So the code should be something like:

Editing in ALV grid

Hi,
I have designed a ALV grid and have the following requirement.
When the user adds a new row and enters data in that row,
and presses SAVE, the data has to get stored in the database.
I require a method to get the selected row id, and to read the text from that row id.

Editing An ALV Grid and saving finally.

former Abap programmer I have modified CN47N as ZCN47N and made the some of the fields of the grid Editable.
The user changes some of the fields and then press Enter occasionally. When he wants to save he clicks a Save button.
If I use
call method g_d_grid->set_ready_for_input
    exporting
      i_ready_for_input = 1.
call method g_d_grid->register_edit_event
    exporting
      i_event_id = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_enter
    exceptions
      error      = 1
      others     = 2.
the "data_changed " event of the ALV grid is fired every time the user press Enter BUT CAPTURES ONLY THE LAST EDITS.
But I can update the neighboring cells of the editable cells immediately by this way.
If I disable the mc_evt_enter event , The user can save ALL of the changes with the firing of gr_grid->checked_changed_data which fires the data_changed event.
But by this way I can not update the neighboring cells of the editable cells with the explanation of the editable cells.
My Question:
1) Will data_changed_finished event suit better than data_changed_?
2) Is there a moderate way in which I can use the enter key and capture all the changes that have been made in the grid ?

DATA_CHANGED triggers as soon as you enter the value and move away to different cell. Parameter ER_DATA_CHANGED of the handler method of DATA_CHANGED would have MT_GOOD_CELLS and MT_BED_CELLS. Based on this you can validate the values and update the Protocol table using the method ADD_PROTOCOL_ENTRY.
If you have to modify other cells based on the entered cells, you need to use this DATA_CHANGED method, because here you can get / change the data of the cell using the method GET_CELL_VALUE & MODIFY_CELL. in this method, the entered data is not yet visible in your ALV data table.
DATA_CHANGED_FINISHED triggers after the data has been updated in the ALV data table. So, if you wish to change the other cells it too late. You need to modify the table and call the refresh method to actually refresh the data.

Displaying the selected rows in ALV Grid output

Hi Experts,
I am developing one interactive ALV Grid report where user can process the selected records/rows from the ALV Grid output.
for displaying the ALV Grid, I have used the class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID class. I am working on ECC 6.0 system.
when I select any records/rows from output and then press any Application Toolbar button, PAI and then PBO modules of the screen gets executed as per the normal flow.
however After PBO, when same ALV output comes, all the selected/highlighted rows appear as unselected, that means I want to retain the ALV
rows selection during the round trip.
please advise.

PF status of Selection screen and ALV Grid

Hi,
I need to create a report where on clicking the 'ENTER' key on application toolbar on the selection-screen the processing logic should get executed ( instead of clicking execute pushbutton).
For this i need to capture the function code associated with ENTER key on selection screen. How can i find this?
Also , on clicking enter i have to display an ALV grid with the SAVE key activated on the toolbar.How can i activate SAVE key on application toolbar of ALV GRID. (Selection-screen should not have save key )

Selected lines in ALV grid

Hi,
I provided one check in ALV grid as one field.If I select the check boxes for some rows and click on user command(created by me), I need to pass the selected rows only into another sub routine for further processing. How to achive this functionality?

Did you try using the method Get_selected_row o this class????
before using plz set the sel_mode of layout as 'A', 'C' or 'D'....
Call this method as follows:
data: gi_itab type lvc_t_row.
call method <ref variable of cl_gui_alv_grid>->get_selected_row
importing
et_index_rows = gi_itab.
this table will have the indexes of the selected rows.

ALV REPORT: read selected checkbox in alv grid and process the pushbutton

my requirement is to check some rows from alv grid and the press the pushbutton. Thereby following things should process:
select all checked rows into an itab and call the transaction code CJ01 for all
entries......
I am finding the problem that when I select the checkbox....the internal table doesnt recognize the boxes as checked ones......
