Send and receive mms and group text messages on Samsung Galaxy Core Prime
I moved from a basic phone to a smartphone. I used to be able to receive group text messages and MMS messages without having to use data or be connected via wifi. Why is it I have to use data or be connected to a wifi sourceto receive those messages now?
The antennae or radios in the Prime are configured differently than most flagship type smartphones and even different still from basic phones. It comes down to difference of hardware.

Kin one not sending and receiving some of my text messages?
I've had my kin one for several months now (mine is used as a feature phone, no data package). I was having no problems up until now.
in the past week or so, I've noticed that I'm not getting some of my text messages. also, some people are not receiving some messages I send.
plus, when I send a message, normally it pops up right away in the thread, so I can read what I just sent. lately, it's not doing that anymore. if I want to read what I just sent, I have to back out to the main menu, and then go back to that contact's message thread to read it.

Trouble Sending Text Messages On Samsung Galaxy Note 4
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and I have begun to notice, over the past several days, that text messages I send do not go through. It works fine for most of the day, but there is a brief period where I am not able to send any at all. I end up having to use a third party text messaging service in order to send messages. Do the AT&T towers in my area get over loaded or something?

I cannot send or receive group text messages and picture messages / MMS. The settings on Messages are already set to receive group texts but it does not help. What should I do?
Wow, 1yerdua. That's far too long to be having this messaging trouble. We want to find the resolution fast! If you turn off your Lumia's WiFi (Menu > Settings > WiFi), are you still able to access data-oriented applications like Internet Explorer? Have you been to other areas of the state/country and experienced the same trouble?

Both my wife and I have an IPhone 4s. All of a sudden, when I text her, she receives my text, but the history on my IPhone disappears as soon as I send the text. Also, I don’t receive any of her text messages. Though while testing and trying to troubleshoot, I have sent a text message from her phone to my phone and I do hear the text sound message go off on my phone but no text. Though I on my icon, I do see I have 1 new text message and as soon as I click on it, the text message will disappear if it’s from her. Now I have noticed when I call her the history also disappears now. I can call her and she can call me from the phone successfully. Just can’t receive any of her text message and no history is retrieve from my phone. Can anyone please help??? Just to share, I have hard booted both phones, deleted and re-added our contact information and in the ‘Message’ settings, we both have the message ‘on’, Send as SMS ‘on’, MMS Messaging ‘on’ and under the ‘send and Receive’ field, it has my number listed with a 1 and area code…1 (210) xxx-xxxx.
There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon. -

You should be able to do this through the iMessage app if the other person is connected through an apple device If not however there are plenty of apps on the app store that you would be able to use to send pics as long as the other user has a smart phone (does not have to be apple)... for example WhatsApp, Kik, Skype etc Hope that this helps!

I just got a new iPad air and also own an iPhone 5. I'm receiving most of my text messages on the iPhone, but some are now also showing up on my iPad. I don't want them on my iPad, any suggestions on how to get them to stop showing up n my iPad?
Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

How can i get my iphone on straight talk to send and receive mms?
I have an iPhone 4 on straight talks network. I have never been able to send or receive mms messages to anyone other than a device with iMessage. How can I get it to work? I dont want to change to a Galaxy or any other kind of phone, but I will if this doesnt get figured out. Straight talk says its an issue with Apple products. Please help!!

First, I would go through these three steps:
Restart your device.
Update to the latest iOS Software.
If you are trying to send a message to multiple recipients and you type in each contact manually instead of using the contacts list, make sure you tap return instead of space to separate each one.
Then, if you still can't send or receive MMS messages:
To send and receive MMS messages on your iPhone, verify that your wireless carrier supports MMS2.
Ensure that MMS Messaging is turned on in Settings > Messages.
Verify that your phone is able to access cellular data.
Some carriers allow you to edit your APN (Access Point Name), which may prevent MMS from working.
If you are roaming outside your calling area, make sure you have Data Roaming turned on in Settings > General > Cellular to send or receive MMS content.
While on a phone call, you will be unable to send or receive MMS messages when using an EDGE, GPRS, or any CDMA cellular data network. After the phone call ends, you will receive any incoming messages. If you tried to send an MMS message, you may need to send it again.
If the issue persists and your wireless carrier has confirmed that your wireless account is provisioned2 for MMS, restore the iPhone.

I have an old iPhone and my new phone that I'm using currently. The old one isn't being used. Can I make both of the phones receive all of my text messages even though my old one doesn't have service but there is wifi?
You can activate iMessage on the old one so it can get your iMessages. The old phone will NOT recieve SMS/MMS messages sent to your number.

Having issues receiving MMS and/or media content. I have visited several forums and did successfully receive at least one photo and sent one photo sucessfully. However, I am now unable to receive media via MMS. Phone displays message: "Get Media Content Now 30KB", but it only emits a tone after pressing. I have add a MMS VPN already. Any suggestions??? I bought an HTC one 2/28/14. I had no trouble sending or receiving pictures with my texts. I had to update my phone 6/5/14 and since that time I cannot send or receive pictures in my texts. How can I fix that?
The thing is, before the update, I ALWAYS had my wifi on, and I had my mobile data off. Worked flawlessly until the update.

Check Settings>Messages>MMS Messaging and make sure it's set to on. Contact Redpocket and make sure your account is provisioned correctly. However, if Redpocket is not a supported carrier, it is possible that not all functions of the iPhone will work or work as expected.

My husband and I both have iphones and both are linked to the app store and i cloud. Now my husband is receiving all of my text messages and has all my contacts. How can we get it to where he does not receive my messages anymore? Any help is appreciated!
Best way is to get your own Apple ID, but until then have him go to Settings > Message > Receive at and remove your phone number.

I replaced my iPhone with a Samsung Galaxy5 and I am not receiving all of my text messages now. The rep at the store told me to go to iTunes and take my phone # off of the account and that would fix the problem. Is that true? What does iTunes have to do with text messages anyway?
You need to remove your phone number from the iMessage system.
