Send to 2nd email address in Entourage

I like to add a second email address recipient to this script:
set strRecipientAddr to "[email protected]"
set strRecipientName to "OpticalCo"
set theMessage to "Latest LabelFile for today"
set subjectvar to "Latest file attached"
set strLogFile to (path to home folder) & "Desktop:LabelFile.df1.zip" as text
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
set composeMessage to (a reference to (make new outgoing message ¬
with properties {recipient:{address:strRecipientAddr, display name:strRecipientName, recipient type:to recipient}, content:theMessage, subject:subjectvar} ))
make new attachment at composeMessage with properties {file:strLogFile}
send composeMessage
end tell
It's not required for the 2nd address to be hidden.
Any help would be appreciated?

The general syntax for multiple addresses in Entourage is:
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
activate
make new outgoing message with properties {subject:"filename", recipient:"[email protected]; [email protected]", content:"the_content"}
end tell
In other words, the addresses in your string are separated by a semicolon.

How do I set up an alias .mac email address in entourage? I set it up the same as my master .mac email address, but it is not working.

There are a couple of ways of doing this. The easiest is probably to just add the secondary address in the Mail.app -> Preferences -> Accounts field.
The specifics of which vary a little based on the OS/Mail.app version you're running, but in Yosemite:
    Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts
Select your iCloud account and change the 'Alias' popup menu from your iCloud address to 'custom'.
Doing this enables the 'Email Address' field. In this field you can enter the email address you want to appear in your From header.
If you want to use multiple addresses (e.g. your iCloud address and your other alias), you can enter a comma-separated list of addresses - e.g. '[email protected], [email protected]' and then you'll have a pop-up menu on each new message where you can choose the address to use for each outgoing message. You can also set the default address in Preferences -> Composing -> Send new messages from:

  • How send SMS to email address - can't fnd "@"

On my other phones I have had I can specify an email address as the recipient of an SMS message. I can't figure out how to do that on the iPhone if the recipient's email address is not already saved as my contacts, mainly because I cannot find the symbols like @ and . that are needed for an email address. I would like to know how to type in an email address on the fly in the "To" of an SMS message.
    Thanks!
    Jenn

Also to clarify a bit more. Your old phone actually never did send a SMS to an email address. SMS can only go to numbers (phone numbers or special numbers like American Idol uses for voting). That is just how the protocol works.
What your old phone did was mix SMS and MMS together and allowed you to enter an email because MMS allows email addresses. Thus you were really sending an MMS (even if you didn't include a picture and just put text).
So, this is why the iPhone since the SMS app is just for SMS only allows the characters it allows for the SMS protocol. If you want to send to an email address, you will have to use your email program.

You might want to try contacting Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click See All Products and Services>iTunes>iTunes Store>Passwords & Security Questions>Lost or Forgotten Apple ID password.  They should be able to explain what's going on and help you reset the password for the old ID if necessary.  The call should be free.

If you already have a valid rescue email address, send the email to it, wait a few hours, and check the spam filter. If you don't, use the instructions in that article to contact Apple as if you had one security question and lost the Apple ID password.

How do I set up a 2nd email address in iCloud? When it was mobile me, I could have 3 addresses. Can I have 2 with iCloud?

You must be talking about email aliases.  Log into icloud.com with a browser, go to the email page and click the cog wheel icon in the upper right.  Go to preferences>accounts.  YOu can define aliases there.  Note that they must now be @icloud.com named emails.

    Hi Steven,
It sounds like you might have been given some incorrect information on accident. You can currently only use one email address and an individual license is intended for one user on two computers. We are working on a new offer called Creative Cloud Team that will be intended for business and have this kind of functionality. It is due to release later this year.

  • Create a dynamic group by email address (not includes 2nd email address)

I've created a dynamic group from powershell as below,  but it also shows the user who's the 2nd email address is @abc.com.
So how can exclude the user has 2nd email address from the group?
New-DynamicDistributionGroup -Name "ACB All Users Dynamic Group" -OrganizationalUnit xyz.lftltd.net/HKG/Groups -RecipientContainer lftltd.net -PrimarySmtpAddress
    [email protected] -RecipientFilter {(EmailAddresses -like
    '*@abc.com') -and (RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox') -and (CustomAttribute9 -ne 'Resigned') -and (Title -ne 'System Mailbox')}
    Many thanks.

    Hi Timothy,
Besed on my test, to filter the recipients based on the second emailaddresses  seems difficult, because there is a limit to the syntax of RecipientFilter, it's hard for me to divide the results of the property emailadresses and filter
the recipient based on the first one.
In addition, to get all the recipients from the dynamic group, please refer to the script below:
    $ddg = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup ITUsers
    Get-Recipient –RecipientPreviewFilter $ddg.RecipientFilter
And we can usually filter the emailaddress from get-emailbox like this:
If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.
    Best Regards,
    Anna Wang

  • HT5312 I am trying to reset security questions.  I have made sure i have 2nd email address.  I have verified email address.  I go to send reset for security questions and i am not getting email back.

I am trying to purchase songs.  I am ask 2 security questions.  I can't remember answers.  I hit the send reset, security questions.  I am not getting any response back.  I went in and added another email address and verified it hoping that this would work and i would get it sent to that address. Still nothing.
I have a $15 itunes card tied to this.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi CDB,
A second email address is not going to help you. You would have had to set up a Rescue email address prior to forgetting the security questions. At this point, you will need to contact iTunes Support to get them reset:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699?viewlocale=en_US
    or by email:
    https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
You may want to look into two-step verification to replace the use of Security Questions, once you get this resolved:

  • More than one email address on Entourage

ive got my email address given to me by my ISP and then the domain name i bought and the email address i have from that.. i mostly only give out my domain name email forward the emails from the domain name address to my ISP email...
ive set up Entourage with both email accounts in one identity so i can send emails from either email address... ive just moved all this info from my old mac to my new macbook and i now seem to be getting every email twice... im assuming once from my ISP email and then a second time from my domain name email that its forwarded to...
what did i do differently on my last mac that this didnt happen?
what do i need to change so i only get the emails once? so i dont get duplicates but stil get all emails, no matter which address they are sent to?
    any advice out there?
    thanks!

i dont pay for hosting at all.. i just pay every two years to keep my domain name and with that i get free email forwarding and web forwarding... so i can create email addresses but need to forward them to somewhere else...
i forward them to one of the POP3 email addresses i was given by my ISP...
in entourage i set up two email accounts on the one identity so i can send email from the ISPs email or from my domain name email... now if someone sends me an email to my domain name email i get it twice... it only does this on my new mac though, it didnt do it on my old one...
if i stop forwarding my emails then where will they go? i dont think ill get them, will i?
    very confused!

  • Problems setting up 2nd email address

Ok so I followed all the help instructions for setting up a second email address and all is fine. I can send test emails to my first account and I receive them within the same inbox. But then I hit two roadblocks:
1.) When I reply to the test message it bounces back.
" (reason: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias"
2.) The password window keeps popping up. After entering my password I get "The POP server “pop-server.nyc.rr.com” rejected the password for user “(my new email account)”
    What's going on???

These 4 email accounts are provided by who?
Your internet service provider or an email account only provider or a combination?
Any error message provided when the Mail.app checks these accounts for new messages and the same when attempting to send?
Port 587 is used for an SMTP server port which has nothing to do with receiving messages.
