Iam doing File-xi-File senario in which sender Adapter have to pick data from three different folders.How should i give the path in comunication channel,how to do this senario.

Sender JDBC.....pick data from table view?

Hi Experts,
working on JDBC for first time, so have few questions.
data base guys want to create a table view and we need to pick the data from table view.
my question is can we import the structure form data view?
if i am not able to import, so i need to create the structure same as in data base table view and is it case sensitive?
they dont want to update the data base table view, very time the SQL query will pick all the records form data base.
the records will be less then 10,000.
my question is as we are not updating the table view, what we need to write in update query as it is mandatory?

In place of the SQL statement, you can also enter <TEST>. Once the data determined from Query SQL Statement has been successfully sent, the data in the database remains unaltered.
This is recommended if the data has not only been read, but also changed by a stored procedure entered under Query SQL Statement.

I have to start on new interface in which data from MS Access database will be updated in the z-table in SAP. Is there any blog available which gives step by step process for MS Access-XI-RFC interface. Poll interval with sender comunication channel in many servers

Hello everybody ,
I have a question, we have PI 7.1 and we have the next requirement:
File Adapter Sender->PI->SAP ECC
now the file need to be picked up from 20 different servers, the file is in the same format in all the servers, is there a way in PI 7.1 for the sender file adapter to have a dynamic FTP server so the same CC File Sender can pick up this files from all the servers, or we'll have to generate one CC for each server, thanks in advance for your answers.

Which System use in your server Unix or Windows?
Yes you can.
First option is in your channel in the check box "Advance Selection for source files" add many server.
Second option xyou can try this in your channel go to tab processing in the option " RUN Operatiing system Command" you write a command that collect or your files and send.
Would better you can collect or your files in one directory and with the command pickup the files and use one Channel

PI sender communication channel not reading files from NFS directory

Hello,
I have a sender communication channel configured to read file from NFS directory which is on ECC server. A program in ECC generates the file and puts it on the ECC server in the output directory. PI sender communication channel is supposed to pickup this file and process it. If I give the NFS path as the source directory, I am getting error: Configured source directory '//Server/DIR/OUT' does not exist. I tried putting '
Server\DIR\OUT' too but same error. Do I have to add the NFS path of ECC into PI as logical path?
Any suggestions?

Your ECC server is an external system, therefore you need to activate FTP service in that system and use the transport protocol FTP:

You can use NFS protocol when you have a local directory in XI server.

REG: while doing PGI with ref to OBD should pick stock from one location

Hi experts ,
I have a n issue while doing PGI with ref to OBD.
1.We are purchasing Raw material Aluminium circle 1000 nos from "X" vendor & keeping stock in Main stores i.e 0001 location plant-1.
2.From there we are issuing to production line i.e 0003 location(Plant 1)500 nos.
4.Remaining stock of 500 nos is in 0001 location in under some Batches.
5.Meanwhile we are suppose to transfer the aluminium circle to plant 2 .
6.For this we are raising STO for aluminium circles 600 nos to Plant 2.
7.With ref to STO we are raising OBD for Plant 2.
8.With ref to OBD While doing PGI it should picks the stock from 0001(Main Stores) location only.
9.But the STO qty is 600 nos ,availablity of stock in 0001 is 500 nos only .
10.While PGI it takes 500 nos from 0001 location & remaining 100 nos picking from Production line 0003.It should not pick from Production line 0003 location .
11.For this system should not allow to pick from 0003 location & also system should throw error message "Deficit of QTY in 0001 location"for 100 nos.
KIndly suggest me asap.

If picking is not done automatically but manually, why the user defines the production storage location in the OBD? In this case some training would be necessary....
b)
If it is done automatically: which settings are you using? Batch determination only?
1. In stock determination (SPRO > MM > IM > Stock determination > Define strategies for Stock Determination) you can define which storsage location should be used by system, and you can assign the stock determination rule to the applications (SPRO > MM > IM > Stock determination > Assign Stock determination Rule in the Applications)
(you also have to assign the stock determination group to the material master (MARC-EPRIO))

Forget stock determination. Instead of it you should use picking location determination - suggested by Laksmipathi. It wokrks fine with batch determination.
SPRO > LE > Shipping > Picking > Determine Picking Location > Assign Picking Location

My issue is there is one new quota type added '91' we can see in the code..This is working well and fine when report executed for Current year...This quota type specially is It will exists only one day I.e BEGDA AND ENDDA WILL be same For ex: 01/01/2010 and End = 01/01/2010.
So Like this is the only one quota type which is having BEGDA ENDDA Valid for same day...So Issue here is when report running for this current year this is picking perfectly fine..But when this is executed for Current day ex: 4/3/2010 report is missing the '91' because when p2006 run on sy-datum...!!So to avoid this what is the best logic i can use here or instead of using Pn-begda pn-endda...Can i use DEduction begin date and deduction end-date only for quota '91'??????

Create release not picking data from Requisition table

Hi All,
I have imported release data from 11i to R12 through Requisition import program. Data got imported successfully. I have updated BLANKET_PO_HEADER_ID and BLANKET_PO_LINE_NUM column in po_requisition_lins_all table. Then I have ran Create Release Concurrent Program but that program Not picking the release from Requisition table.
Can any one face this issue...Please let me know what thing i missing while doing this.

According to what I understand from your question, you have the Req successfully created but the the release is not happening when you run the create releases program.
You have to have a ASL for this item with release property as Automatic Release and the BPO document number attached in the ASL attributes.
Let me know if you have this setup or not.

PI Sender JMS channel not reading data

Hello All,
Scenario is JMS to Proxy. I have configured the JMS PI sender channel as per the details given by legacy team and they validated and confirmed that the channel configuration is correct.
Also PI JMS Sender channel is with green status and no there are no errors observed on PI channel monitoring page. Legacy team said that they placed 2 messages on the Queue for SAP PI to read. But there is no data flow observed into PI (on Adapter Engine/IE).
I have restarted and reactivated the channel also.
Can you please tell me what might be issue here

Are you able to ping the channel from the Java stack? Normally if it is screen it means that is working but try and ping it and see what response you get back.
What are they using? MQSeries? JNDI? SonicQ?
Use the connection details that they gave you and log onto the queue and check if you can see the messages? Download a free JMS viewer and connect and see if you are able to see those messages? It might that they placed it in the wrong queue or that you are looking at the wrong queue.

The planning system for our client is nonsap system. This software requires to be informed of relevant changes on articles in order to start its planning runs. When an article is superseded by another we have to send the replacement article (if any) as well as the discontinuation date.

just change one "automotive" material and check change documents are getting generated.
i hope partner profiles are already in place.
once change docuements are inpalce check RBDMIDOC program is scheduled in back ground or you can manually execute the program for testing.
and check the IDoc generated.
do you want supress some segements?
di your NOn-sap ssytem can accept Idoc?

U are right, but there is no option.

it will indirectly, use a select statement only.

Ok now I get your requirement.
you cant achieve this - how one receiver channel can put in two location if you dont have a dynamic configuration defined i.e Adapter specific attributes.
easy way - involve IR mapping
else
have a adapter module to define your dynamic configuration.

How to use sda6810 to receive data from a rs485 channel?

I want to use sda6810 to anlyze data from a rs485 bus. So I use Labview to progame the sda6810 with the drivers.Firstly,I intilite the card,then I cofigued an channel to send data from a buffer,and configued another channel to receive data from the first chanel . But unfortunatly the data I received was not equal to the data I sended.And there are not any error messages indicated in Labview
And when I try to use the GP channel,I found it worked properly.please tell me how I can solve the problem?

Pick up data from different legacy systems to an excel sheet...

I have to pick data from 4 different legacy systems into an excel sheet(mapping data available) and then upload whole data into SAP using transaction ME21N..How should i proceed..
I have to create 4 separate files first and then transfer the combined data into an excel sheet...Plzz explain the steps??
Also explain how to append data of one file to another and den combine whole into an excel sheet.
Assume that the 4 files have same number of fields 40 .
