Sender SFTP Adapter channel is not polling for files

Hello All,
Couple of SFTP sender adapter channel was failing in Developent system with u201Cdirectory listingu201D error. All SFTP sender channels stopped polling for the files in Developent system  . We were unable to find the reason for adapter failure, Hence we restarted the j2ee server and adapter started polling files. Later we are facing the same issue in Quality system. THe adapter cahnnel is not polling files in Quality system even.
All lean tool adapters were showing the u201CHost key was not accepted erroru201D on 27th of Feb . As per the other channel trace, the time stamp of last successful polling and error time stamp of lean tool sender channels are exactly same
Eventhough two communication channels access the same SFTP adapter, one communicationchannel is getting 'Host key was not accepted error' but in other communication channel, files are getting picked.
Please let me know the solution if you have come accross this issue previously
Regards,
DilipKumar

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply.
Its not a standard SFTP adapter rather its a C-BURGER SFTP adapter.
Sorry I did not mention this in my previous post

  • SFTP listening channel is not picking the file from remote location

    Hi,
We are facing an issue in B2B 11g while connecting to the remote trading partner through SFTP.
It is not picking file from root as trading partner has given the file location as ' . ' root only.
They have provided us one certificate file (.dat file) and I copied that file in one folder called .ssh (which i have created)
and mentioned that certificate file location in B2B Listening channel configuration -> Private key = /home/srijna.saxena/.ssh
I have configured the following parameters:
    Host Name,Port Number = 22 ,Polling interval =60 , path =., username ,password,confirm password,Private key =/home/srijna.saxena/.ssh , minimum age =120000
Please let us know as soon as possible as it is pretty urgent, if any other parameter I need to set.
It is showing the error in the logs :
' skipping endpoint as it is not for delivery channelPAT_KRR_SFTP '
Please see the logs for the same:

    Regards,
    Divya

    Please refer to below thread:
java.lang.NullPointerException for FTP listening channel in B2B

  • BizTalk Server 2013 SFTP Adapter with private key - Did not poll any files

    Hello,
We have a requirement to connect SFTP secure site with the private key and polling files.   Initially I have
tested BizTalk Server 2013 SFTP Adapter receiver Port using  Bitvise SSH SFTP Server tool and it was working perfectly in our local network environment( with public private key authentication).
However when we connected to Client SFTP server with private key authentication, It successfully connected to SFTP Server but
did not poll any files from SFTP Site.  I added only one file to SFTP Server ( 145 kb file) for testing purpose.
However BizTalk Server 2013 SFTP Send Adapter is working well with the same configuration.
I could not find any errors in Event viewer also.  I can download\upload file using WinSCP tool .
So I downloaded nSoftware SFTP Adapter trial version and deployed on server. nSoftware SFTP adapter  is also working find
without any issues for Client SFTP Site.
This is the configuration on SFTP Receive Adapter
This is how SFTP Server download folder permission configured. I have got this details using WinSCP tool.
    <o:p></o:p>
    Appreciate your help on this.<o:p></o:p>
    Thanks<o:p></o:p>
    PrabathD<o:p></o:p>

BizTalk Adapter for SFTP is where the polling logic is implemented. It is not part of the SFTP Client logic. any SFTP Client is for User Interaction and you do what you want/when you want.
The BizTalk Receive however is for purposes of automation and the adapter polls the receive location using the credentials every polling interval to check for the files matching the filter. When it find a file, it will read and publish to message box or
submit to pipeline for processing. Your setting the polling interval to 0 (ZERO) might actually be disabling the polling.
Set your poll interval to a non-zero value and check the behavior.
    Regards.

  • Sender file adapter is not polling the file.

    Dear all,

    Regards

    Hi Dhanabal,
Is the XI system running on a unix machine ?
If yes, from the OS level for the folder you are using in the file comm. channel, execute the command
    <b>chmod 777 <folder_name></b>
The reason for the file to show up in receiver side and not get deleted might be that the xi user mighht be having only read access to the folder...

  • Dynamic directory for Sender SFTP adapter

    Hi All,
      Hope everybody is doing fine.
I need urgent help for below requirement for SFTP adapter ,client requirement is
We have deployed the SAP security Add ons (PGP-SFTP) for one of the requirements in our PI system (PI 7.11 SPS 11).
The SFTP adapter is configured to read files from the source system. As per the guidelines from the source system , we need to determine the source directory dynamically and then poll the files.
The source folder structure looks something like this :
    \Archive\FROM_System\<yyyy>\<mm>\<dd>\Interface1
    \Archive\FROM_System\<yyyy>\<mm>\<dd>\Interface2
That is we need to pick up the file every day from a new folder, say, for 24th July 2013 - \Archive\FROM_System\2013\07\24\Interface1
    25 July - \Archive\FROM_System\2013\07\25\Interface2
Will the PI SFTP adapter support this kind of requirement? As this is sftp sender adapter Operating system level command option is also not available.
Do we have any standard module/Bean to dynamically change directory name in the sender SFTP adapter?
i will really appreciate your quick help.
    Thanks
    Monica

    Hi Monica,
Yes it should work. Did you check this thread:
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/3376137
Also refer to the following documentation link for the SFTP sender adapter (scroll down to the adapter specific message attributes):
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwposc/helpdata/en/2e/99f0fb5a9e45b3b148c90e87fafcd1/content.htm?frameset=/en/c5/56eb8e7ec04435a0d54d96a18231e5/frameset.htm

  • Sender file adapter not polling the file

    hi all,
i have configured a filexifile scenario....
but the file sender adapter is not polling the file at all....
i dont c any message either in RWB or in SXMB_MONI
i checked the adapter framework url at <i>http://<ximachine>;<port>/AdapterFramework</i>....and the status for the file adapter is green...
but the message it gives there is
    <i>Sender Adapter v1014 for Party '', Service 'TASL_FILE_SENDER':
    Configured at 03:07:24 2006-02-02
Up and running - no message processing until now
last poll interval started 04:01:24 2006-02-02
      length 60,000 secs</i>
y is the sender adapter not polling the file..
i am using NFS as my File System....i gave the source directory as <i>d:/test_dir/</i>
is this way of specifying the source directory on a windows machine correct...
    thanks
    pavan

There is probably something wrong with the File Adapter.  You will need to go to the RunTime Workbench >> Component Monitoring >> Display >> Click on the Adapter Engine >> More information will display and click on the button 'Adapter Monitoring' >> A new window will display and click on the arrow next to your adapter engine.  This displays a list of adapters running on your system.  Green light means good; Red, you have a configuration problem.  Look at the error and try and resolve it.

  • Need to read source file without deleting it - Sender SFTP adapter

    Dear friends,
The data from the source file needs to be read by PI on a daily basis. The file should not be deleted.
Vendor  updates the file on a daily basis with file name DataFeed.xml
How to acheive this in Sender SFTP adapter ?
    Kindly guide me
    Renu

    Hi Renu,
Unfortunately as of latest release of SFTP adapter. Arching is not possible :(. really dont know why :).
as a work around what you can do is  create a scenario as 1 sender and 2 reicever.
here: 1 sender: will be the sender fileadapter which will pick the file from souce.
1st receiver: will be a receiver file channel which will palce back the file in the source Archive folder.
2ed Receiver: this will be the actual receiver to which the data has to be given.
Or write a Module in Sender adapter which will archive the files in new location.
Note: Here i am assuming that each time the source creates a new file with same name which contains new data in it everytime.

  • Sender sFTP Adapter - SSH Key

    Hi All,
I have a small doubt regarding Sender sFTP Adapter. This is what we have done to connect with one of Vendor
    1.     Basis created a SSH key in NWA for Vendor and sent to them.
    2.     They linked the SSH key with user name and asked me to use the same.
    3.     We got the firewalls openepd b/w PI and Vendor
    4.     I provided the same detail in sFTP adapter, but I am not able to connect,
    I am getting below error:
Error: Cannot connect to SFTP server. Host=########, port=22, username=#####. Private key store=########, private key alias=piPKCS12. Timeout=300000 msecs. Absolute home directory=.: KeyStoreException in Method: getPrivateKey( KeyStore, String, String ). The requested keystore type is not available in the default provider package or any of the other provider packages that were searched. (Software version: 3.0.14.2)
    Please provide your inputs.
    Regards,
    Sachin Dhingra

    Hi,
The first thing you have to do is use the same userid and the pwd and try to connect to the vendor system from your application layer and see if this is connecting or not. If there is a problem in connection then there are few steps that you have to follow. Below are the steps you need to follow:
    1. Open the port from your Vendor side as well as open the port from your XI system(there might be two ports)
    2. Generate the key of your vendor system and one you started login to the system then it will ask to instal the key , so acept it.
the IS people can help you out over here.
    3. Try to push the one dummy file in that location manually using the command in application layer.
    4. check the authorization in the target directory and try to provide the proper authorization,, 777 is used for full authorization.
    5. use the same useid and the pwd and then try from your xi system processign a dummy file.
    hope this helps.
    cheers,
    jay

  • XI Communication Channels does not poll

    Hi All,
XI Communication Channels does not poll
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?
Actually they should pick the stuff from the SQL server, convert it to Idoc and send it to production BOX.
    Shavali

    Hi,
Is it a problem with the JDBC adapter?
If yes, make sure that the channel is active and that it has been started.
ALso , make sure that the sender JDBC adapter Select Query has some valid data and actually returns some rows!

  • Picking file in sequence/Queuing   in  sender SFTP adapter.

    Hi Experts,
I am using SFTP adapter in sender side, it has no option of quality of service ( EOIO)  and queue name as we have in  FTP adapter configuration .Is there any  predefined  module provided by Sap which i use in the modules Tab in communication channel configuration to get the functionality of queuing ? just like we use  strictXMlto plain bean etc.
I have 3 files which needs to  proccess in a sequence one after another in order.I CANT USE BPM or Even FTP because of Security reasons.
    please share you ideas.
    Regards,
    Anika

    Hi all,
I have tried using AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean in module tab present is the sender SFTP adapter with the attribute qualityOfService.
      parameter name                  Parameter value
         key.0                         insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Messaging  qualityOfService
        value.0                        ExactlyOnceInOrder
But in Moni i dont see the 3 messages didnt go in the same queue. But when i double click and open the dynamic configuration present in the soap header section i can see the values which i given in the module parameter.
Is there any way i can change the quality of service to EOIO at runtime ? how to change the default EO to EOIO.
    Regards,
    Anika

  • Polling for files using SAP workflow

Hi all. First of all, I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question.. Please let me know if it needs to be moved.
I need to know if it is possible to use SAP Workflow to keep looking (polling) for files in a certain directory? I know I can do this in XI, but need to know if the same capability is available within Workflow? If it is possible, can anyone tell me how / where to find the information on how to do it?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Thomas

Hi- Both the ways are possible
    1. Extended Notification (you need to configure and schedule prog.) which will send email automatically to outlook (based on user's mail id in SU01D) whenever the approver receives new approval task and the email will have link to Approve/Reject (based on the underlying WF step). When approver clicks on the link, it will ask for user id/pwd and approver can take decision
    2. You can also send plain email notification in WF using mail step to outlook and based on the mail, approver can take action from inbox

  • BPM to get rid of polling for file adapter

    Hello,
    nice scenario here:
We want to trigger a scenario for file to file transfer via an aRFC to be independent from the polling.
Looks like this needs a BPM, which could be started via an aRFC (save e.g. the content of the RFC in a directory on the XI machine if necessary).
But how to trigger now the sender adapter to pick up the prepared file (no relation to the content coming with the RFC) to deliver it?
Looks like we do not really understand how to use the BPM? Any idea to solve that is welcome!
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hi Dirk,
take a look at this weblog by siva:
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/05/22/schedule-your-bpm
schedule your BPM and then you can use pooling
for the file adapter cause the message will stay in BPM
and you can control from the BPM

  • XI: Sender JDBC Communication Channel is not getting picked the records

    Hi All,
Here I 'm facing an Issue with my sender JDBC communication Channel. Previously it was working fine but It is not Picking the records from the JDBC table.
Communication Channel is in active mode only.
I have checked in RWB communication Channel monitoring there i didn't get any error or success messages but channel is showing healthy status only(Green)
But i had created the new communication channel..with the same parameters which are in the older communication channel.. and sender agreement level also i had changed.. so now  new channel is working fine.... I didn't understand what is the problem with previous communication channel.
    Thanks

    Hi yadav,
do you have TWO CCs polling at the same time via JDBC?
This could be the problem --> a conflict between both CCs.
    Switch off ONE CC:
