Sending a site to a 3rd party (client)

Hello:
I have built a site that includes many css classes and a variety of snippets.  I have uploaded it to a server and then guided the staff from the organization I have built it for to download the site so that they can maintain it.  However, when they do this the snippets and the various css styles do not appear in the appropriate panels.  The snippets I can understand not being included, but the CSS styles must exist otherwise the site wouldn't render properly when the make changes.
Does anybody know how to upload these or otherwise forward these to the client.  I could burn the site to a DVD and mail that to them.  That would not be a problem.  This must be something that developers do all the time, but it seems to be a quirk I haven't mastered yet.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Steve Webster

I've used several methods. The best one, of course, is to upload to the site's server. That way, pages don't get nasty added lines of bogus code that make them fly into quirks mode. And if you're uploading javascript files, best to FTP...attaching to email gets javascript attachment files stripped off as dangerous.
The next best is to zip the whole file into a zipped folder and ship it over using something like YouSendIt.
That doesn't solve the problems of the client not knowing enough about the code to apply it correctly, of course, which a good basic text on the matter would help.
Ones I've used successfully are in the "Missing Manual' series, which are clear and present good resource material as well as good tutorials.

  • SAP BW data in ODS to XML and sending this XML file to 3rd Party

    Hi Gurus,
We are having a scenario in which we have to convert our data in ODS to XML and need to provide this XML file to our clients so that they can use this XML file in their 3rd party system.
Now the issue is that i have created ABAP program for converting into XML.
If I execute this program, since i have given path as my Desktop, the converted XML file gets saved on my Desktop.
But the problem is how i can provide this XML file to the client.
Is there any way of converting this XML file to html and send them the URL ......
plz suggest me.... what can be done......
my ABAP code u can see in the following link

  • I want to send G.B. song to 3rd party for pro-mixing

I want to send my G.B. song to a 3rd party for pro-mixing.
They need all the single tracks, but in a manner which is in perfect order as the song flows.
Is there a way? In wav files

    1. Solo each track? How?
click the headphone icon to solo a track
Will it end up in order?
there is no order, per se, you export each track one at a time
    2. Export ? It only says export to CD or send to itunes or iweb.
use send to iTunes, and after each export, rename the song in iTunes to whatever you want (likely the track number to make things easy for yourself later)
    3. without compression? Where is compression found?
sending to iTunes will send it uncompressed
    B.T.W. I am using G.B. 3.0.4 (104) Is this good?
GB4 might be better, but GB3 is fine.

On Certview Page ( Oracle/QuickLinks/Certification/Certview ) You have a tab "Publish ....". And it works . I have already tried.

  • VNC Bizarreness....3rd Party Client works perfectly but Mac's viewer doesnt

    Hi guys,
Something rightly bizarre - I have reinstalled the OS on my media server (From Ubuntu to Mint) and set it up with the same network name, address, shares etc...the fileserver aspect is working A-OK, but I cannot screen-share with it anymore. The 'connecting to XXXX.local' just stays there ad-infinitum.
Jolly'sFastVNC will log in like a charm, though! To make matters even MORE confusing, once I hit 'Connect' from Finder, the remote computer acknowledges that command has been taken by another PC, but nothing on my mac happens...it doesn't spawn a new window...nowt! It's almost as if the VNC-viewer cache needs to be flushed, as it may have info from the 'old' iteration of VNC server....

Those are the correct settings, and they work with any email client that supports Imap.
    Try again.

  • Why to use 3rd party ftp client

why not using the one in iweb?

There are 3 reasons to use a 3rd party ftp client:
1 - if you intend to use the freeiWeb SEO Tool to add Google Analytics, image alternate titles or other metadata to the site's files. This requires publishing to a folder first and you'll need a 3rd party ftp client to upload from there.
2 - if you intend on using a web site optimizer like Web Site Maestro which also requires publishing to a folder first.
3 - if you experience problems using iWeb's built in client. Some users have reported problems with iWeb's client and switching to a 3rd party client like the free Cyberduck solved their problem. Just a matter of need.
If you don't need to add metadata or optimize your site and iWeb performs as it's intended then there's no reason to use a 3rd party client.

  • How to Collect IDOCS before sending to 3rd party

    Hi All,
I am sending out PO's using ORDERS idoc from SAP to 3rd party.
In my scenario I need to group the similar IDOC data into a single file before sending it out to the 3rd party using XI. So in Partner profile I have choosen 'Collect IDOC' option and given the count as 10.
Once IDOCS were generated they were in Status '30'. So I then ran RSEOUT00 to flush the PO idocs to XI. It did flush them out but as individual IDOCS.
I had the impression that 'Collect IDOC' files the selected IDOCS into a SINGLE file/IDOC and then sends it out. Was I right in assuming that collect IDOCS merges all idocs into 1 file/idoc or is it wrong.
If it does not, is there a way how I can merge all these IDOCS into a single file before sending to 3rd party ?
    Thanks
    Shirin

    Hi Shirin,
    For IDoc packages see -

For IDoc Bundling see - The specified item was not found.
Also, to see BPM Collect patterns, you can navigate to the SWCV named SAP BASIS in your IR. Under namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns you will find the integration process called BpmPatternCollectPayload. There are many examples in this namespace.
If you are new to BPM, see this - [Step by Step Guide to BPM|http://www.riyaz.net/blog/index.php/2008/04/16/a-step-by-step-guide-to-bpm-asynch-sync-bridge/].

  • Is blocking 3rd party cookies preventing some icons on sites' menus from showing?

I've noticed a problem in last several Fx versions where certain sites' menus & internal links - don't show icon images (for some).
Like menus on a credit card site, once logged in. Or certain webmail menu icons.
Or HP's community forum - the text editor (to add a question) menu icons - once logged in. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/custom/pa ... .hp.com%2F
It's relatively few sites - but some are important. I also noticed that any icons / images that are a problem in Fx, display in IE 9, though IE settings show 3rd party cookies blocked.
Tried a <u>new, clean</u> profile w/ the Fx install I was using (35.0.1). All the icon images (on sites that previously had problems) seemed to display, as long as "Accept Cookies from site" was checked & 3rd party cookies were allowed.
In the clean profile, disabling 3rd party cookies seemed to cause some icons not to show. But in IE, 3rd party cookies are "supposedly" blocked, & the icons display in it.
Obviously, the problem isn't addons - problem can be <u>reproduced</u> in clean profile.
Also tried a clean Fx install in another folder. Same results as above - as with my old Fx install & a clean profile.

    No.
Missing icons are usually supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you might see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters instead.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can check the <b>gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value).
You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I have an issue similar to this one

This started a few weeks ago for some users. Users cannot send emails generated from 2 3rd party apps. They get the error "The Operation has failed".
Not all users are affected but the only solution is to turn on Cached Mode in Outlook.

  • Should i use Business system or Business service for a 3rd party file sys?

    Hi Gurus
My requirement is to send a file from 3rd party client system to SAP ECC system.
I want to confugure a file sender CC to pickup the file and send it to ECC system thru proxy.
Now, after going thru the SAP definitions of 3rd party Business system (if the system is present the landscape and technical details are available) and Business service (if system's technical details is not available because it is not present in the landscape. Only the interface details are available, for ex: external webservice), i am not sure which one to use.
What is the use of using a 3rd Business system instead of using business service in my current situation?
In both the cases, i can use a file sender CC and pickup the file from a folder using FTP protocol.
What is the criteria based on which i need to take this decision?
And finally, how are the system name & host name details, which we given during 3rd party technical system definition in SLD useful?
    Many Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra
Its always preferred to use Business service for communication with systems outside the landscape. As it does not refer to any SLD components and safe to use on internet etc.
What is the use of using a 3rd Business system instead of using business service in my current situation?
If you want to use 3rd party system you need to define party based communication and it acts as a party in production environment. You can also create a Standalone sytem in SLD for your use. Standalone technical system mostly refers to standalone Java applications in landscape.
n both the cases, i can use a file sender CC and pickup the file from a folder using FTP protocol.
What is the criteria based on which i need to take this decision?
If your communication is party based and the 3rd party you refer is a party for ERP then it make sense to use a third party communication and use party name as well.By this i mean business wise. Else its always good to use Business service.
And finally, how are the system name & host name details, which we given during 3rd party technical system definition in SLD useful?
To use this third party system you need to register products on TS else you will not be able to see any Interface etc while configuring in ID. you need to add all details to it in SLD.
    Thanks

  • Communicating with a 3rd party system using webservices

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario
         3rd party <-> XI<->CRM.
here im using SOAP between 3rd party <->XI, xi<->CRM im using ABAP proxies.
scenario 1. 3rd party would send messages(client request) to cRM to get some data. CRM has to respond for that.
scenario 2. CRM would request the 3rd party to get some data, then 3rd party would respond.
scenario 3. there is no request from 3rd party but crm has to send the data.
So 3rd party would communicate using webservices sends the request to cRM. if there is any request from cRM then 3rd party have a webservice to serve.
      My question is
      1) for cRM side i should create a webservice? if i create this where shold i create? i mean i should put this webservice on WAS of CRM or on XI ? If i create this webservice and put on CRM WAS, could this communicate with XI by using ABAP proxies? when CRM sends a request to 3rd party, to send this i should create another webservice ?
could you please anyone tell me about this?
    thanks a lot in Advance

    Hi,
<i>for cRM side i should create a webservice? if i create this where shold i create? i mean i should put this webservice on WAS of CRM or on XI ? If i create this webservice and put on CRM WAS, could this communicate with XI by using ABAP proxies?</i>
As to your first question, you dont have to create webservice on CRM side, all you have to do is to define an outbound interface in XI, and generate proxies for that outbound interface in CRM.
<i>when CRM sends a request to 3rd party, to send this i should create another webservice ?</i>
You havent specified who the 3rd party is DataBase/R3/etc. Let us assume the end system is truely external from your landscape. if the 3rd party provides you with a webservice, you can import taht webservice into XI and use it as an inbound interface.
Hence, you would then map the outbound interface from CRM-> XI to your inbound interface XI->3rd party.
3rd party provided webservice could be written in java/.net.

  • Using BC Form for Newsletter Signup on 3rd party platform

I am working with a client who has a 3rd party online store, but their website is hosted on BC platform. I need to provide the newsletter signup form code to the other dev team so they can recreate the form to allow customers to signup for the newsletter while shopping in the the new online store. Is there any documentation on this? It seems that the .js files are BC specific.
The form is making a call to "/CampaignProcess.aspx?ListID=27563". This does not exist on the site and the 3rd party developer needs access to that actual aspx file or have the full URL path?
The form also makes a call to "/CatalystScripts/ValidationFunctions.js". This does not exist on the site and the 3rd party developer needs access to that actual aspx file or have the full URL path

    Mario,
I appreciate your response, but I'm not quite sure I understand your
proposed solution.  I get an error when using that URL -- *ERROR: Email
address could not be added to list.*

  • XML File to 3rd Party Provider w/o any Middleware

    Hi
I have a requirement wherein we are required to send XML files to 3rd Party Supply chain provided w/o using any middleware in most secured form. The Customer is on ECC5.
One of options i could think about is as mentioned below.
    -  file based and using SFTP to send the XML file to 3rd Party provider
Could you please let me know if their's any other alternate approach to meet this strange requirement.
PS : 3rd party provider can provide webservice. But the question is how do we consume this into ABAP envirnoment and call them into ABAP COde. Any pointers on this as well would be really helpful
    Thanks

  • IDOC as a receiver adapter in XI to 3rd party scenario

    Hi All,
I have an requirement to connect sap xi and 3rd party. the scenario as given below:
    sap ecc 6.0  --> sap xi --> 3rd party
Here ecc is sending an idoc to the 3rd party. The 3rd party is SAP certified and intelligent enough to receive and send idocs. Here I'm using a idoc adapter as a receiver adapter. In the receiver adapter I have to give a rfc destination and a port name.
My question is how to create a rfc destination for the 3rd party. and which port name we'll use in this case. Is the port name will be the 3rd party port name is yes then how I can create a port in the 3rd party system.
    Please help.
    Regards,
       Santosh

A communication channel with a receiver IDoc adapter can be created automatically for business systems that are defined in the System Landscape Directory. refer this link
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/d1a4d665c5574fa6e19784358ec948/frameset.htm]
You need to configure the receiver IDoc adapter to convert Integration Server contents from IDoc-XML to native IDoc format and to forward the IDocs to an SAP system .
you create a port and the rfc destination pointing to receiver in PI system
use tcode sm59 for creating rfc destination and IDX1 to create port and map it to  rfc destination.
