Sending Inbound application log error in inbound processing through email

Hello all,
My client wants application log for failed idoc through E-mail.(The application log found in we05 for failed idocs).
Please guide me how to get/fetch the error log in inbound processing.

Hi,
Query EDIDS table with the relevant selection criteria like date.
Here field STATXT will give you the message text. REPLACE the place holders(&) with STAPA1, STAPA2, STAPA3 and STAPA4 to build the complete message.
Make sure that you read the message for the latest counter(Check Max counter in field COUNTER). Because same IDOC can have multiple messages.
Once you get the message, you can use normal mail sending code for sendingout the mails.

Now i am working on a process which i have to initiate a process through email.ie A user will fill the form offline and he will submit the form to the manager through email submitt button.so it consists of two forms,form1 and form2.form1 is for initial user and form2 is for manager.so when the manager recieves the form and email,all the data of the form1 should get bound to form2.here i am facing an issue.i have created email endponit for the process and i am using gmail as the email serever .i have configured all the settings in the email endpoint .i have created two vriables for holding the xml data and the manager form.

If both forms share a common schema, the manager should see the data in form2.
Otherwise, you have to transfer data from form1 to form2 using SetValue activity or XSL Transformations.

Calling error/application logs in CRM inbound proxy

Hi All,
In inbound proxy of CRM, I have to call Error/Application logs (for eg:SLG1) whenever an integration process throws some error. Has anyone worked on this kind of scenario to call different application logs in CRM or R3 side inbound proxy.
If so, please give some ideas on this.

Application Log - error in header

Hi,
I have created application log using BAL* FM's.
Now in header part i am filing below columns:
as_log-context-tabname = 'YCONTEXT'.
as_log-context-value = ls_extnumber.
When log is displayed, in header i am getting information:
Interface type(custom field), Numb, date, Time, User, Tran, Program,Mode, Log number.
Below Inrterface type there is a folder 'Inbound'(again name is as per requiernment). Now this folder is a tree like structure.
When this tree is expanded, fields Bumb, date,time,User.. gets there values.
Now the problem is:
below folder 'Inbound', there is a symbol indicating error messages. I want with this error message, some text should also come.
How to do this?
If someone can provide his/her email id, i can send the screen shots, which will be easier to understand.

Hi Sai,
Is there any recent Kernal upgrade has happened in your project? the issue is happening in the VMC call as per the dump detail. I would suggest just ask the basis guys to check the VMC server wether it is up or down and also in case of any upgrade happen basis need to restart the VMC server may be they have forgotten to do so.please check the same and revert with your finding.

Cannot open Planning application : An error occurred while processing page

Hi,
I'm using EPM 11.1.1.3 on Linux Server (Red Hat). Recently, I had to stop and start all services after which I am unable to open any Planning application. It gives me the following error:
An error occurred while processing this page. Check the log for details.Please close the current tab and open application again

I cannot open it through Workspace also. There aren't any logs in %HYPERION_HOME%/logs/Planning which mention anything about this error. Appreciate if someone could suggest a solution.

Thanks for sharing your expert opinions guys. I have checked the suggested log HYPERION_HOME/deployments/Tomcat5/HyperionPlanning/logs/catalina.out
It seems to be a JDBC connection error. This brings me to the point that I also reconfigured Planning over the existing configuration (8300). could this be the cause of the error as other utilities (Web Analysis, Essbase, Shared Services etc.) are working fine (I did not reconfigure these).
Kindly have a look at the log below from the aforementioned path and suggest a solution. Greatly appreciate any help.

Poor Forms performance - application.log errors

We have an environment that is supporting over 3000 users. The application servers are Win2K using Forms 10.1.2.3.0.
Users are constantly experiencing poor performance, taking an age to switch from one form to another.
Ignoring all the other possibilities like network etc the only information I can find is in the $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\applications-deployments\formsapp\OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1\application.log

I am seeing this error very frequently in oacore application.log file Do you get any errors from the application?
Is this a generic error if so can we ignore it.

It looks like at one time or another, you tried setting up the Flash Access Reference Implementation License Server. Part of that package is a packaging server (which interfaces with a Graphical UI to package content). The error you're seeing below suggests something from the Reference Implementation is left behind.
I suggest doing the following:
1. Shut down your Flash Access license server
2. Remove the following from your <tomcat installation directory>/webapps
     2a. (file) flashaccess-packager.war
     2b. (directory) flashaccess-packager
3. Remove the directory <tomcat installation directory>/work/Catalina
4. Remove the directory <tomcat installation directory>/conf/Catalina
5. Start your server
Also - something to note is that your logfile seems to indicate only an issue was found with the packager deployment. If there are no issues around the flashaccessserver, then your license server should still work, as those 2 different services (packager server & license server) are independent of each other.

Broken pipe IOExceptions indicate a communication problem between a client and server. For whatever reason the socket from the server back to the client is dead. Among many other things, these communication errors can happen because:
1. The browser (client) breaks the socket connection to the server due to the user either hitting the stop button, or the user issuing another HTTP request prior to the first request.
2. Network congestion, latency, etc.
3. Firewalls, timeouts, congestion, etc.
These errors can be indicative of user generated errors beyond your control, network - internet problems beyond your control, or your own network configuration that is causing problems. I don't think there is a real 'easy' way to determine the actual cause other than going down the list one by one.
If you don't know how to diagnose any of these areas, I would suggest to have your network administrator take a look at your network topology and also call Oracle Support to help you further.

Error in Parallel processing through EG88 tranastion

Hi,
While executing the EG88 tranasction for periodic replacement of list, I am getting a runtime error. In ST22, it describes that, transaction tried to call the function EGTUR but it is not found or not defined.
I checked the module PBIT INITIALIZE and the paralles RFC server in RZ12, all seems to be correctly defined.
what are the various checks that I can perform and what are the standard values that needs to be maintained for RFC server group in RZ12?
can anyone please help me to fix this issue?

TS3276 I can't send mail but can receive mails on my macbook. However, I can send mails by logging into yahoo or gmail through Safari.

I am using a macbook pro. I am not able to send any mails from my mac. I can recieve mails, but can't send.
However, I can send mails when I log into yahoo or gmail from safari.
Please give me measures to correct this issue.

Is it possible to send the Pdf format of WebI linking report through email?

Hi All,
I have created linking between 2 WebI reports through OpenDocument. I can schedule the parent report and send it to User Email as PDF format, But when the user click the link in parent report its not opening the PDF format of child report after passing the parameter from Parent report. It throws following error.
Is it possible to send the linked reports(without breaking the functionality of passing the parameter to Child report) to user who don't have access to BO environment? Please help me out.
User needs to get the Parent PDF report in email, once they click the link it should pass the parameter to child report and the corresponding child report should open in PDF format. (In Infoview "View Mode" i can able to achieve this, how about in Email?).

So to achieve my requirement, according to my understanding I have to do the following steps.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
1. Without BO credentials the user can’t able to access the Link and child report created using OpenDoc.
2. To overcome this I have to create one reserved userid through Admin and assign to all set of Users who will use the Reports.
3. Have to use Single Sign on function through SDK to avoid the popping window for entering credentials right ?
I can’t able to find the Sap Note 1326701 in http://www.sapossnotes.com/
Could you please provide me the details how to implement that?

I have a scenario in which I have to display error logs when exception occurs.
There is a transaction SLG1 where you can see all the application log for a particular process. Has anyone worked on calling these types of transactions to display error or application logs. If so, please throw some light on this.

If you want to see the error message in SLG1. Follow the following steps:
1. Use the FM BAL_LOG_CREATE to create the application log.
2. Use the FM BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD to add the message to the application log.
3. Save the application log using FM BAL_DB_SAVE.
Now you can see your error message in the SLG1 transaction.
