Sending video file to mobile client

Hi,
Any tips on how to send a mp4 video file via TCP to a j2me client, running on a Nokia N95? I guess I have to convert the file into a byte array or similar?
I have looked around but have not been able to find anything. I am fairly new to MIDP and Java programming.

Implement the HTTP conversation on your server.

For IM between mobile lync client and mobile client with desktop lync cleint, I found the following issue:
    - between mobile lync client and lync desktop client: The IM function is working sent between both party, no matter it is initial send from mobile or desktop client, but after a random period of time, may be 5 mins or 7 mins or 10 mins, the desktop client
will not able to send IM to the mobile client but the mobile client still able to send IM to desktop client.
    - for between lync mobile client
    the issue as above.
    - between desktop lync client
    no such issue found
I've trouble shoot this issue a lot but still can't the root cause?
    Do you have any idea?
    Many thanks for your help?
I know that when I testing using my mobile phone, my 3G network provider will continuous change my mobile ip address after a period time, does this behaviour will affect Lync server to find the mobile device?
are there any method will Lync server know what the mobile client status and ip address  that let Lync server can find the mobile device effectively?

    Hi,
Would you please tell us which edition of mobile did you use (Android, IOS or Windows Phone)?
As IPhone and Windows Phone need push notification function but Android Phone doesn’t need.
If possible, you can test with two Android Phone to check if the issue happen with push notification function.
From your description above, it seems that you use 3G network on mobile to connect Lync mobile client. Please check if the issue cause by IP address of mobile, you can change network to a WIFI to have a test.
Also, please double check if the needed ports open as Edwin provided above.

  • Unable to send video files

There may be a limit on gmail on how large an attached file can be, often the limit is around 5mb, all you can do is use a file sharing site like dropbox or use skydrive or googledrive to upload the video & then send the link to the file via email.

  • To send video file with JMF

    Hi
I making an application that it needs to send a video file (of a server to a client). I implemented this using the mechanism of RTP implemented for the JMF. My server sends the archive, that my customer only shows the video for the half and does not appear the bar of control of time in player. And, later that client receives all the data (and she does not show, by the way), the user do not obtain to attend again what it finishes to receive Somebody could help me in this? Necessary that my customer if holds of similar form to the Youtube. That is, he goes loading and showing how much he has, leaving, the user to manipulate bar of time of player e, also, leaving the user to again attend to the video if thus wanting
    Tanks...

Presumably, you're using the following sample code to create the AVI:
And you're using the following sample code(or something similar) to send the AVI via RTP:
Regardless, instead of creating a DataSource from a MediaLocator that points to your AVI file, you can just use the DataSource that's generating the AVI files, and make that be the DataSource that's driving your RTP session.

  • Help: question on send XML file from java client to java server

Hi, I am now to Java, and now I am going to set up a simple network in the lab.
I have created a random array of data and transferred to XML file on my client. Now, I would like to send it to the server. I am wondering how I can put the XML file into my client, and do I need any parser to let the server show what random date it has received?
Anybody can give me any idea or some basic code? Thank you.
Now, I am referring the KnockKnock example in Java online tutorial. But, not clear how to deal with the XML File.
    Fengyuan

There are several ways you can achieve this: one could be that you transfer data over HTTP, using Servlets for instance. Have a Servlet listening on the Server with content type 'text/xml', POST the XML data to the server and have the Servlet to receive the data and re-compose the XML file. This can be achieved with different libraries:
    1) JAXB --> this is good because is the JDK standard, also for web services
    2) Castor (http://www.castor.org/)

  • Sending video files to an iPad

I am constantly converting videos in .wmv so my manager can view and make corrections. If he had an iPad, what would be the best way to send quicktime files to him and for him to then make notes on the iPad and send that info back to me? Does Airdrop work with iPad? Or Airplay? Any apps that he can write notes on the video with timecode?

If your using FCX to edit your media, there is a timecode element under the generator's tab. You can add this above your clip which adds a nice simple timecode to your media. You can then export this out as H.264, uploaded it to the iPad, and your manager can reference from this timecode to give you a shot list.
I do this all the time and it works a treat

  • Send vcf files to mobile phone over bluetooth using Automator?

I've gotten the whole phonebook (187 entries) off a Nokia 6600 and I need to put it into my new Samsung D600. Only the thing won't accept a multi-card cfs file. It only imports the first contact, ignores the rest.
Now I've exported each of the 187 contacts as a separate cfs file on my Macintosh HD, and I am looking for a way to select all of them and choose Send via Bluetooth..., then select the Samsung D600 and do the job.
Or do I have to do that with each one of them independently, throught the Send File command up on the Bluetooth menulet? It's tedious. But I opened Automator and didn't see any commands related to Bluetooth.
    Many thanks, as always.

To the best of my knowledge (and I've done a fair bit of searching...) Samsungs don't live too happily next to Apples. Apparently their implementation of SyncML isn't compatible with the current versions of iSync, iCal, AddressBook and what-have-you. Hence the need to dismantle a perfectly backed up phonebook from a Nokia 6600 into hundreds of individual vcf files and then throw them one by one the Samsung's way. Pity it needs to confirm each and every transfer individually before it proceeds to the next.
Still, I suppose it's better and faster than typing everything back in.
I would, however, like to have an Automator action do all that for me. Anyone else?

  • Upgraded Box to send video files up to 2GB so does Firefox have to be told of the upgrade?

No problem starting the process but in never completes even if I let it run overnight. File in question is 677 MB.

On Windows, use Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the task manager, then go into the "Networking" tab. It will show you the link speed (which will be just the one of your local LAN) and its %-utilization by which you can calculate the overall transmission speed.
I'm surprised that you are able to send a 677 MB file (which will be around 900+ MB encoded for mailing). Most provides only allow 10-30 MB attachment size.

  • Slowness sending video for two RTP clients

    Hi
I'm testing a simple application where a server capture video from a web cam, apply an effect to it (the rotatio effect) and transmit the stream over RTP to any client that connects to it.
The clients that I'm using is an example applet that's called RTPAppletPlayer (or something like it).
The server first create and initialize the Processor. Then it create a cloneable data source and stores it.
The first client that requests a stream, I create a RTP session manager using the cloneable DataSource.
For the other clients thats request a stream, I do the same process, but instead of using the original cloneable DataSource, I create a clone DataSource and use it.
That's the architecture of my app. I hope that I was clear enough!
The problem is: The first client to connect can see a perfect image of my webcam. But second client gets a very, very slow stream. It only shows a few frames per MINUTE, while the first client gets a lot of frames per SECOND!
And it's not processor botleneck nor a network bottlneck. I only tested it in my home LAN. One of the the clients is the localhost for the server. The processor never gets too busy. I tried to raise the JVM priority, try a few changes in the code, nothign works.
No matter which client I use as the first one to open a session with the server, this aways will be the one to get the fast stream.
Anybody has experienced something like this before? Am I doing something wrong to create the clones or the RTP sessions?
    Any help will be appreciated!
If you think it will help, I can post some of the code here.

I discovered what I was doing wrong.
I shuldn't create a SessionManager for each request, but use the same instead. Fro each new client that request the stream, I just call addTarget in the SessionManager. It works!
