Separate LDAPs for Users information and Authentication

Does anyone know how to point the Directory Provider and Authentication provider to different LDAPs? This is very easy to do with Policy Server by configuring the login-config.xml file to use the com.adobe.edc.server.provider.authentication.login.LDAPLoginModule class and specifying the LDAP connection properties. However, I have yet to find a way to do it with Workflow. I tried doing it exactly the same way as policy server, but that does not work.
Has anyone done this before, or know how to do it without writing code? I don't want to have to write my own LDAP authentication provider if one already exists (which it does for Policy Server).

This is possible. You can have project online and Project Pro for office 365 on two different tenant. Once you install Project Professional, you need to configure the account in project professional to connect to your project online tenant. Below article
contains the steps connect to project server from Project Professional. In step 4 user have to enter the URL of Project online tenant and when they try to connect they need enter their Project Online credentials. Everything should work as expected.

In fact once you install the Project professional for office 365, you can connect to any PWA instance to which you have access to (on-premise and online).

I am working with ADF using JDeveloper 10.1.3 with Business Components and ADF Faces.
I have a Search page and a List page.
Both pages are based on the same view within the same application module.
The Search page is using the default Find and Execute Operations.
The Execute button has an action that navigate to the List screen.

Hi all,
I want to integarate IDM with LDAP.Test connection is working when i intergarate with LDAP.I got the status as "succeeded" on full reconcilation and I was able to create users through IDM.I could see the users created in LDAP too...In IDM when i click assignments tab i get "Inalid resource 'LDAP' for user '12121'.Here,'12121'is my account id. I don't know wat mistake i have made.Please anyone of u help me out in this problem.

There's a flag somewhere that gives you the option of omitting the domain. If you do, it defaults to the domain that the content server is on. I think you can get there from the "active directory" config link at the top of the "filter debug" administration page. Its kind of buried...

In my previous Organisation we got exactly the same landscape for BW as you described.BCS(BAYER COPSCIENCE LTD) operates a BW System Landscape with one centralized Global Development System and three regional Quality Assurance and Production Systems located in Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas. This Landscape is to ensure consistent data models to be available in all regional systems as well as to minimize development efforts and make use of respective synergies.
This is perfectly working for BCS ,and I think, this is the most approriate way of handling of resources.

IAC view and BSP iviews gives pop up for user id and password

Hello All,
I am facing a problem in quality portal.
we have SSO configuration between Portal and ECC system and the Jco connection using SSO with login tickets are working fine,test and ping both are succesfull.
The ESS and MSS webdynpro application are also working fine.
But the IAC iviews and BSP iviews says "session managment will not work ! Please check the DMS log files for details" and then ask for user id and password of the ECC system,But the system alias that i am using,is configured for SSO with logon tickets.
same iviews are working fine in devlopment system with system alias with SSO Login tickets but in qa it is asking for id and password ...
I have checked all the system properties also FQDN of ECC system is also maintained.
Please suggest what could be the issue ??

When messages about Session management popup then it is 99% an FQDN issue, but you say you already checked it.
Did you also checked the parameters:
- ITS Host Name
- Web AS Host Name
... in your system object?

Why do we have separate apps for phone, messages, and contacts?

I'm trying to reduce the number of apps that I need to run, and this one just boggles my mind.

The messages is to tightly coupled to the phone, that it doesn't make any sense for them to be separate.
The contacts app is nothing more then looking at the contacts from the phone app.
What's the story here?

If you want a contact to have both phone# and email address, then the two apps (phone/email) should be combined.

The forums would be full of people complaining that you had to go through an additional step ( opening the phone app) to get to contacts. I use the contacts app from the home screen far more often then I use it in relation to calling someone.

After upgrading Firefox to ver. 6.01 and next to 6.02 Firefox asks for user name and password of proxy server even though proxy settings are set to Automatic detect proxy settings.

Sorry can't do anything more than offer support. We have been having this problem for months and support is clueless. Do you also have the migrating homepage issue? I just validated my approach in a 2013 farm, this is precisely how it's done!
Step 1) List > Display Form
Step 2) Change the View within the Web Part Properties. In your screenshot it looks like you simply went to View Item on the single item, which is not the direction I gave =P.
**Assuming you've already created the multiple views within InfoPath, this allows you to set them up as distinct defaults for New, Edit and Display, let's make that clear. If you are not even to the point of having separate views, that is just in InfoPath,

Typically I believe anything that is created by BOE when you install the product stays consistent across multiple environments that were deployed the same.

I have created a report which is using AS/400 db2 database.Connection is setup in a universe and through Client Access ODBC driver.
Users are trying to connect AS/400 db2 system through ODBC(Client Access ODBC driver) and full client BO 6.5.
It asks for signon to AS/400 prompt for USER ID and PASSWORD when BO report is refreshed by users.
Is there any way i can avoid the USER ID and PASSWORD as it is not feasible to give database USER ID and PASSWORD to each users.

Defining an Authentication Scheme for user ID and password and client certi

Hi,
                I do need to define an Authentication Scheme for user ID/Password and client certificate,, both at the same time, so whenever the end user access the SAP Portal he/she will be asked to provide user and password as well digital certificate,
                Despite of the whole idea behind o f the concept of digital certificate, my client sill wants to keep the user ID and password to complies with business requirements.
     I found a documentation that discuss Authentication Scheme with example using both ID and Digital certificate, but the priority was set different for each authentication method.

I have 2 iPhone 4S's, one is personal, one purchased by work for me. Can I use the same iTunes account to sync both phones while keeping the contacts that are synced as separate lists for personal phone and work phone, but also allow same apps for both?

Luckily, if you be very careful and pay attention to what you have selected in itunes, you can separate these things
Basically, in iTunes, there are tabs at the top for Summary, info, apps, etc..
These tabs control PER DEVICE what syncs between itunes and the device.
Therefore, you can plug iPhone 4S #1 in, and select to sync contacts with address book, then do so. Then plug iPhone 4S #2 in, and not choose to sync with address book. iTunes will keep these settings separate. However, in that situation for music and apps, you would check to sync both on both, in order to get all music and apps on each.
The only thing to watch out for, each computer 'user' has only one set of address book and ical, meaning that if you want to sync both phones to the computer, but dont want to mix contacts, only one phone will be able to sync contacts and/or calendars. Basically, each category in the Info tab will only hold one device's information, so you CAN do contacts with iPhone 4S #1, and calendars with #2.

CIC0 - asks for user name and password on CRM

Hi folks,
I am a BASIS gui am facing a peculiar problem with our production CRM system. It is a CRM 5.0 system and we have no java stack . The customer service users have reported on a daily basis when they are logged into CRM system and working with CIC0 transaction for several hours, suddenly a pop up comes up stating
"The server <CRM server server name> is requesting that a user name and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection) "
This is happening when a user logged on the CRM system itself. There is no java stack on this system, pure ABAP system. When this popup comes up, the user then puts his/her user name and password and hits ok and is able to continue with work only to be interrupted the next day in the middle of work. So they are able to login , keep doing their for hours and suddenly are asked to revalidate their user name and password.
1. If the user is logged in for several hours and is working fine, what happens suddenly that the user name, password is forgotten and requires to be re-inputted?
2. Is this related to the browser? But the users only work on CIC0 abap system, they do not open a browser , and this is not via portal or a web-ic link...this is all pure abap login via a sapgui.
3. I have copied the same user and am testing to see if the pop up pops up on me...but so far this pop up is not comming up for me....can this be related to user's local desktop windows or browser settingis there any password cache setting ..if so does it mean every time user tries CIC0, a cached password is sent to the server ......I am confounded ...where is the issue, what settings is this related to...

Hello Vikram,
Apparently CIC0 makes use of WAS which requires separate authentication. This can possibly explain this issue. Just check if you have maintained the local SSL certificate. Also ensure SSO is also in place. Check STRUSTSSO2 for this.
