Seperation of text .

hi all,
In me51n purchase requisition form creation.In item text--entered like the following in 3 lines.
material for XXXXX department.
Used for XXXXXX.
Order by xxxxxxxx.
I have taken each line into itext1. and concatenated. like
LOOP AT itext1.
      IF NOT itext1-tdline IS INITIAL.
        CONCATENATE it_prf-ztext1 itext1-tdline INTO it_prf-ztext1.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
output showing as mixing all the lines in 1 line upto 38 charc. and next char.'s in next line.
i have given line char upto 38.
but i require to print output in 3 diff. lines as entered by endusers.

If you want to create item text or header text, use FM create_text.
That will be easy & that can solve your problems Hopefully.

First step Fetch the records as text file and stores into table T1
and the next step is i have seperated the text using substring and stores in different columns of a table

Varying black intensity in PDF/InDesign preview - any ideas if harmful?

Hi guys,
I am encountering the following oddity in displaying my book as PDF or even inside Indesign.
The intensity of my Black color is varying on some spreads pretty randomly. Look at the picture below to see what I mean. Notice the difference between the upper and lower part on the left.
You see, how to the upper part is less black? Of course, since this is a threaded text, the text is exactly the same attribute-wise. There are also no overlaying or overprinting features on top, bottom or whatsoever. Black text on white paper.
Anyway. So I thought: This looks weird. I checked the color values in Photoshop by importing and rasterizing the respective pages. They seem to match. I did a print test, they seem to match.
Now the funny part: I thought, this must be an anti-aliasing issue so I made a screenshot from Acrobat and Indesign and what I see is that the text on the pages get anti aliased differently! (right column)
My question now is:
Why?
Where do I set it up to be the same?
Does it have effects on printing?

I am on Windows 7 64bit running ID CS5 with all patches.

Alright, I checked the seperations, all text appears to be on the K channel, nowhere else.
However, the text appears to get anti aliased with the upper method (subpixel AA) only on layers that contain NO transparency. I checked that with the Flattener Preview and only on pages without transparency I see a difference.
So what should I do now? Does it affect my printing results? Or should I change the flattener settings? (I would rather not touch that)

when i to generate 700 records without Max function i working and takes time.But when i use MAX Function its not working and taking a lot of time why

JcomboBox Border

I want to create a JcomboBox with
1. No outer border
2. No line or border seperating the text area of the combobox and the arrow button.
If you use JBuilder ( I use 9.0, dont know if other versions have this feature ) , the jcombobox that allows you to select the current project, is a perfect example of what I want my Jcombobox to look like. Jbuttons have a simple method call - setBorderPainted(false),,, its unclear to me why the same wasnt implemented on jcomboboxes.
If I do this
projectChooserBox.setUI(new javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicComboBoxUI());
the outer border is removed, but there is a distinct border between the text area and arrow button of the
combobox.
Any ideas ?

I havent set a look and feel to the application, and Im running it on a Windows XP machine, so I assume the look and feel is Windows.
As far as the look and feel of JBuilder IDE goes, I have that set to Borland, but the combobox remains the same for all the options.
I have a sneaky feeling that the JBuilder jcombobox is not a jcombobox in reality. It could be a JButton with a Jpopupmenu appearing below it when clicked.

Address book import, doesn't work at all

i am trying to import a tab-seperated value text file from outlook into address book, it recoginzes the fields, however, when i click ok, nothing happends.
nothing at all...
suggestions?

I, too, am having major issues with importing.
I have tried three different things:
1) a .vcf file (downloaded from my mail account on fastmail - fastmail.fm)
2) a CSV file (also downloaded from FastMail)
3) a Vcards file (exported after an import - more details further down in this message.
So, I select import, and the file doesn't really import, the button for import does NOTHING. But, there is a 'review duplicates', I use that, click on merge, click the apply to all check box, and then import works. It only takes a few seconds. I go from 206 addresses to 316. Yay! But, there's more. I close Address book, and I am back down to 206 cards - all my imports are GONE. I have done this at least a dozen times (in hope..). Once, I imported them all, then exported them to vcards hoping I could overwrite the 206 cards with the 316 that I exported. That hasn't worked either.
Address book seems unstable after importing, too. It sometimes won't close, I need to force quit it..
I checked out the console app looking for errors or clues, and nothing. I don't know if this import worked in tiger, tho..

I know if we use UTL_FILE.get_line we can read the whole line...but i need to read the tab separated value separately.....

It is then up to you to split that string up (search for split string on this forum for methods) into it's individual components.
If the text file contains a standard structure on each line, i.e. it is a fixed delimited structure, then you could use external tables to read the data instead.

How do I recognize and treat seperately entries in a text box?

I've placed a text box in a report that is populated by data entries that are seperated by a semicolon. Each entry is unique and distinct. I want to try to count and group these individually, but since they exist in a text box seperated by a semicolon, how can I treat them as unique? Here is an example:

Whether the values is fixed ie, you will get a string with 5 values which is :;: seperated.
If it is fixed you can use a way.
for ex; you have a string of 5 values.
first formula u write : Stringvar
Variablename := split(Fieldname,';')[0]
like that five formula.
Then you can take the count(Variablename).

Need seperation color space for identified font (text)

I want to write it into a Seperation color space If i found a font for the text specified in the PDF.
I got the font name for the text element using PDETextGetFont() function but i want to write those text element into different plane other than CMYK.
Is there any functions to write those text element into different color space?

well i want to download various fields of an internal table into a text file.but the hitch is that all the columns should be seperated by a comma.something like csv.

here the i_field seperator should be given as "," as in ur case.

Comma seperated fields fetched in a text file

hi all,
         well in the reporting context,i am lookin forward to fetch data from the internal table and then download them into a text file,the condition of retrieval of the data is that every field should be seperated by a comma in the text file,
             currently i m using "gui download" function module and its giving out the fetched reords correctly,but i m not able to put a "," seperator between the fields.....
   could anyone help me with this??

Converting Text seperated file into excel format file without opening Excel

I have a Text file(Test.txt,the data inside it is in specific format seperated by TAB) which i would like to convert it into an Excel file(Test.xsl) without opening MS-Excel.Is there any java code to accomplish it.If yes, can i please get the source code for the same or some Utility.
I am working on a Windows 2000 platform, on J2EE application server and on CRM based application.
I had gone through many topics related to my problem,but could not get satisfactory results...

I am rephrasing my question,i have a Comma Separated File (1042-1.txt)which i would like to convert it into an Excel file (1042-1.xls) without opening MS-Excel using java code...
So that the data in the Text file gets populated into the columns of the Excel sheet using the java code.
I am working on a CRM based application and the application is generating a Text file(1042-1.txt) through PL/SQL Packages on the Servers particular directory and this file is getting Downloaded.
My requirment is that the Users of my application should be presented with an Excel file(1042-1.xls), so that they do not have to Open the Text file in Excel and then do the Importing...instead they should be provided with the Excel file itself...
Please Can anybody provide me with a solution for the same...
