Service bus performance using AMQP

Hi,
I am checking the performance of the service bus on the AMQP link.
Using qpid-proton-c 0.8 on my Linux machine Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4800MQ CPU @ 2.70GHz (8 cores) with 8 GB of memory, sending a message can take up to 200 milliseconds.
I was surprised by this performance. I was expecting a shorter delay (like 50 ms).
Is there a way to improve/optimize this performance?
Many thanks.

Indeed, I am not measuring the first Sent (it was 400 msec).
It was random. For example, in my test, the 4th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 20th (...) took 900 milliseconds.
Other messages was sent in within 120 milliseconds, which is still in my opinion high comparing the size of the message I am sending.
The message contains:
 - content-type: set to dummy type
 - message ID: 16 Bytes
 - correlation ID: 16 Bytes
 - Subject: 12 Bytes
 - content: 14 Bytes.

  • Issue in deploying Service Bus projects using maven

    Hi,
I am following the following documentation for deploying service bus projects to my OSB server.
    http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/MAVEN/osb_maven_project.htm#MAVEN8973
I was able to issue mvn package as described in documentation and also able to see sbar files in .data/Maven directory of each project.
But i am seeing following error when i issue mvn pre-integration-test. Am i missing any steps.

  • Oracle Service Bus: Concurrency using File Transport Provider?

We're using the OSB File Transport Provider but we're not able to process files concurrently.
Each time processing of a file is started - processing of other files (in the stage directory) halts.
Does anyone know if this is a "feature", or are we missing out on some configuration?

Do you have a clustered environment? What is the load? You may like to create a separate work-manager for your File proxy and assign appropriate number of threads to it.

  • BizTalk 2013 SB-Messaging Adapter: Unable to receive messages from a Azure service bus Subscription

    Hi,
I am trying to receive messages from a Azure service bus subscription using SB-Messaging Adapter in BizTalk Server 2013 but getting the following error.
"The token provider was unable to provide a security token while accessing 'https://overcasb-sb.accesscontrol.windows.net/WRAPv0.9/'.
Error Code: 407 Proxy Authentication Required. The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. (12209)
It seems the error is related with Service Bus Authentication and Authorization with the Access Control Service. Can anybody help me out if I am missing something here?
Also for consuming the AWSB (namespace, topic name, subscription name, Issuer name, Issuer Key) I have referred the following link
    http://soa-thoughts.blogspot.in/2013/02/biztalk-server-2013-new-adapters-series.html
    Thanks!

    Hi,
When I am trying to receive the same messages from a Azure service bus subscription using .net (C#) client,
    BusSubscriberbusSubscriber =
    newBusSubscriber("TestTopic2",
    "Endpoint=sb://overcasb.servicebus.windows.net/;SharedSecretIssuer=owner;SharedSecretValue=wqYlT4yHZimeUZacH+1V1hj/ZrKu7zK9ELaaLYDxqjc=",
    "AssetMovement",
    "AssetMovement");
I am getting the same error here also.
By setting  <defaultProxy useDefaultCredentials="true" /> in appconfig, I got rid of the above error. And now its working fine with .net(C#) client.
    <configuration>
      <system.net>
        <defaultProxy useDefaultCredentials="true" />
      </system.net>
    </configuration>
The same setting I tried in BTSNTSvc.exe config file and ofcourse restarted the host instance but still getting the same error. Any help?

  • Cannot Start Service Bus Domain from ANT script

    Hi,
I am preparing a script which buils service bus domain using wlst script and then makes a jar file of the newly build domain and transfer it to the target location where it need to run.
Once the jar file is in target location is jar is expanded in a folder.
The above mentioned process if working fine. If i try to start the domain from that location either by double clicking startWebLogic.cmd or from dos prompt it does start the domain wihtout any error.
However if i try to start the domain from with the same ANT script either using <wlserver> or <java classname="weblogic.WLST"> using startServer ('AdminServer','mydomainname','weblogic','weblogic','t3://localhost:7001') the domain startup does start but failes with same weblogic.management.deployment exception.
complaining about all alsb specific applications error i.e.
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.bea.wli.sb.init.MarkerAppListener/com.bea.wli.sb.init.FrameworkStarter ..... under weblogic.management.deloymentexception.
had anyone manager to start domain like this? any help?
    thanks

I faced a similar issue when all ALSB specific applications were failing with ClassNot Found error when the managed servers were started using node manager. This was fixed by setting up the right Server Classpath for the WLS server.
The issue was fixed after setting up the CLASSPATH to use when starting up the server as below, where E:/APPS/STAGE/OSB103 is the BEA_HOME

  • Azure Service Bus Relay & Impersonation

    Hi All,
I am currently investigating the use of Azure Service Bus Relay for a project, testing has gone well so far and I have a service and client communicating via the service bus relay.
Currently the client and server are able to take part in two way communication, whereby the client invokes a method and a response is sent back to the client, the problem I have is that I now
want the service to impersonate the user calling the methods, but only for some of the methods available in the service.  Is this possible over a service bus relay connection? if so, how can this be achieved.
I have been able to get this working when calling the service over a non-service bus binding (using basic authentication over SSL), but this fails when binding to the service bus relay, I believe because the HTTP context is lost between the client and
server when communicating via the intermediary (in this case the service bus)
Thanks in advance for the advice.
    Chris

I am having an issue making AMQP connection to Service Bus on my local Network. Service Bus 1.1 has been implemented on a development box Windows Server 2012 using SQL Express. The Windows Firewall is wide open for testing. The SB certificates
have been copied down to the client machine.
The connection to the topic using other than the AMQP protocol works just fine but as soon as the transport is changed to AMQP, the following is received
Error 10054 "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."
I have tried to change the connection string ports to reflect the AMQP settings to no avail.
The same code works in Azure using AMQP, but the STSEndpoint is not present for that code.
The STSEndpoint comes from the connection sting generated by the WS SB Management Portal.
I am sure that I missed a step or that if a certificate is added somewhere this should work.
The AMQP is an important item as if it is not made to work, a different messaging platform will have to be implemented at quite a large cost ie Red H4T. Using Azure outright is not an option either.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

I think I found the problem, and it is in the connection string. you have probably just added the ;TransportMode=Amqp to the connection string in order to change the connection type to AMQP. However, you also need to change the runtime port to 5671.
    <add key="Microsoft.ServiceBus.ConnectionString" value="Endpoint=sb://servicebus...net/TestNamespace;StsEndpoint=https://servicebus...net:9355/TestNamespace;RuntimePort=5671;ManagementPort=9355;SharedAccessKeyName=RootManageSharedAccessKey;SharedAccessKey=XXXXX/E=;TransportType=Amqp" />

  • Bindings to use for communicating using Service Bus Relay service

    Hi,
I need to use the service bus relay service for synchronous communication between 2 applications (one in cloud and other in corpnet behind a firewall). I wanted to know what is the best option (binding element) I have in terms of message and transport
security. Also will using this best option have some performance concerns ?

    Hi sir,
From your description, I think you need make sense all the binding methods of Azure service bus relay (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh410102.aspx) firstly.
Base on my experience, I usually use NetTcpRelayBinding in project. The
NetTcpRelayBinding binding supports two-way messaging semantics and is very closely aligned with the standard WCF
NetTcpBinding – the key difference is that
NetTcpRelayBinding creates a publicly-reachable TCP endpoint in the relay service.
About how to chose the method of binding, it depended on your requirement also.

  • How to log the exception using Log action in Oracle Service Bus

    Hi,
Whenever an exception is raised how to log the exception using Log action in oracle service bus. After logging where I have to find the logged message.

It would be in the log file for the managed server which ran the request. If you are logging the message at a lower level than your app server, however, you won't see it. You should be logging the exception at Error level.

  • Need to Import an application built using Oracle Service Bus on Oracle Public Cloud

I have built an application using Oracle Service Bus (OSB) eclipsed IDE which transfers file from server1 to server2, reads the transferred file, transforms it into a payload and calls a webservice. I have tested this application locally by installing Oracle Service Bus on one on my servers.
I have java as a service account on Oracle Public Cloud. I would like to import the above application onto Oracle Public Cloud. I am not sure if the Weblogic domain on Oracle Public Cloud has enabled OSB or not.
Let me know if someone can help me.

    Hello,
Oracle Service Bus is currently not supported in Oracle Java Cloud Service.
Oracle Java Cloud Service supports deployment of JavaEE and ADF applications.

  • Error using the test console of the Oracle Service Bus 11gR1

Hi I am facing a an issue while using the test console of the Oracle Service Bus 11gR1 .
Every time I try to execute a business service or a proxy service I end up getting the following message.
    Error Accessing Test Configuration
*"Test Console" service is not running. Contact administrator to start this service.*
In fact to add to my frustration I am unable to execute any of my proxy services from outside clients like SOAPUI as well.
Is anyone else facing this too ??
Also every time the server starts I can see some diagnostic error messages on my Eclipse console.
*[ERROR] AdapterManager - ServletContainerAdapter manager not initialized correctly.*
Attached the whole log at the end below.
To provide an update on my trouble shooting
    1. ) I tried to give the IntegrationAdmin and IntegrationDeployer roles to my admin user. in fact i also tried to give it all the possible privileges.
Result: Still the same error message.

This is really putting me off and its really disappointing to see all these issues in this new release.
How can oracle let a release slip in with such a Major Issue.
Please can any one help or provide a work around atleast.
    Regards
    Nitin

I guess till version 10gr3.1 you only needed to start one server and it allowed to access both admin and service bus console.Yes, in 11g as well you may access the admin and OSB console by just starting the admin server but in 11g OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB server (managed server) and test service also runs over this server.
Are you saying there is some other server I need to start just for running the test console ????Yes. Managed server osb_server1 needs to be started for deploying, testing and accessing OSB resources.
As If the OSB server was not running how can I check my published services, modify them and do all the bits and pieces after opening the open the service bus console but not just test them???You can modify and save your configuration without staring OSB server but if you will check in change centre then all the changes being done without starting OSB server will remain in partially activated state.
I have been using the service bus for 3 years and I have never faced any such issue. With each new release you may get new features and with a major release like 11g, architecture and functionality may change.
If it all there is some other server I need to start then whats the process to do so ??Open command prompt. Navigate to $Domain_Home/bin and run command
    startManagedWeblogic.cmd <nameOfManagedServer>
    for eg. -
    D:\OFMW11g\mw\user_projects\domains\ofmw_domain\bin>startManagedWebLogic.cmd osb_server1
Once this server is up and running, try using test console.

  • Receiving files from site using oracle service bus

    Hi,
I need to create a solution, using oracle service bus to access a webpage, make authentication, and then receive a zip file. This is possible using osb?
    Regars!

Sounds like you just need a "Messaging type" business service (http based) which points to the ZIP file URL. Input type "none", output type "binary" and with a service account attached with the username/pwd for the ZIP file.... but once you have the zip file binary content - then what do you want to do with it in the message flow ?

  • How to call proxy service at enterprise service bus using flex

    Hi
I have a proxy service located at wso2 enterprise service bus. How can i call that proxy service using flex?
    Regards
    Minal

Hi Minal, I think you can communicate with wso2 using mx:HTTPService or mx:WebService, you just need to find out which services you'll be consuming and then create the flex app to present and interact with those services.

  • Sun idm adapter for Enterprise Service Bus (Using MQ)

    Hi
Can you please let me know if any sun idm adapter support Enterprise Service Bus (Using MQ) ?
    Thanks

    As answer on question 1:
No I never found any documentation from SAP that described a ESB solution. So al the knowledge must come from other vendors in your case from Sonic.
But there is hope you can use XI in a ESB way. You must only (add) configure the ESB parts. This is done by adding a service repository for example the UDDI server in combination with some BPML engine.
By adding it al together you can execute your business processes over multiple system platforms using SOAP in a synchronic way.
This is the basic concept of a ESB.
    The answer to question 2.
I don’t know if XI has build in support, but a know that there are free tools that can handle Canonical XML. So you can make a service your self to handle the Canonical XML documents.

  • Create Oracle Service Bus using BEA workshop

Can someone please help with BEA Workshop developer guide/tutorial detailing how to create Oracle Service Bus using workshop IDE.
    IDE - BEA Workshop 10gR3
OSB version - Oracle Service Bus 10gR3
    Thank you

    Thanks for your response Eric.
The tutorials that I've seen so far deal with OSB console, none of them talk about creating OSB using BEA-workshop.
On workshop IDE there is some help on OSB workshop plug-ins, but those are mostly one liners about the plug-in features
Please advice if you've link to OSB-Workshop tutorial.
