Session Time Out Message on Portal

Hi Guys,
We do have an application with out logging in, user can come to our application. The session time out will be 10 min. I am configuring the session time in web.xml
But when session timed out i need to forward to a session timeout jsp, when they try to access the functionality. We are using WLP 10.3 and application in JSF 1.2

Session Time out for oracle portal pages in Oracle 10g.

Hi,
We have a portal application deployed on Oracle application server. We need to apply a security control - which prompts the usr to log in after 15 minutes of inactivity.
I have tried types of tricks but it doesn't work. The thinsgs I have tired are listed below.
Am I still missing anything?

After all these settings also after 15 minutes of inactivity If I click on any tab portal displays the pages.

How to get Portal Session Time out values of CRM system

Hi,
I had a requirements to pass the Portal session Time out value to the External Configurator. How can I get that value. Is there any Function Module to get this value.
If you go to SMICM and select services, we see HTTP details. I need to get the Time out value what its showing there. How can I get that value. Is there any FM to get that value or Is there any existing code.
Please let me know if you need any further information.

Session time out issue in Firefox 3.0 .

I am using intranet application developed in .net framework 3.5. Users are authenticated via Windows Authentication in application.
Issues in following steps;
1) I am browsing application in one Firefox 3.0 browser. Simultaneously I am browsing some different site say google.co.uk in different instance of Firefox. Please note I am browsing google.co.uk in other Firefox browser not in different tab of same browser instance in which I am browsing my intranet application.
2) Session time out in intranet application .
3) I am starting new Firefox instance and try to open intranet site. I am again getting Session time out message.
4) I closed all of Firefox browsers (2 instances)
5) Start again a new browser and try to open intranet application.
6) It is successfully opend.
Now the pain is why I need to close all other Firefox browsers in case of session time out in one browser .Similar issue I was getting in IE 8 but they have feature like Open site with a new session .
It would be nice if you can help in getting rid of this issue

If you want to increase Session time : increase time in web.xml in min
<session-config>
<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
</session-config>
and after session time out if you want to re-login to webshop then
do following settings in XCM.
url : http://<host>:<port>/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do
goto -> General Application settings -> b2b -> b2bconfig.
For reloginurl.core: value : ../init.do
note: after session expire if your application is redirecting to https:<port>:<host>/....
Then
set SSLEnabled: as false
Restart your application

How to change ADF default session time out behavior to count down

the ADF default session time out will show a message before some time set in the web.xml , after this time anther alert will show the time out message.
But our recruitment what use one message dialog first show the session will be out then count down the time at last show the session time out message.
Dose ADF provide interface to change this ?

If using pure JS and Html I can write thousand way to implement session time out function , but we use ADF :
ADF limit user to do a lot of thing but only use itself way , it is very hard to change its component's behavior and also hard to get doc introducing how to change its behavior though it can be change.
So what I want to know if there any interface ADF left to change itself session time out behavior , I think your answer is no.

Blank screen and time out message when connecting to EC2 via Putty

successfully installed SP 09 trial version on EC2. when trying to connect to the instance via Putty following all the proper steps in the Guide, after upload of PPK file, all I get is a black screen with "the session time out" message in 10-15 sec.
HELP !!!!!- researched everything, trying using elastic fox to ovoid conversion of pem file into ppk . same story there.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Yesterday, I went to the store and bought the exact same cable I used at my friend's place. And voilá, it works perfectly with my monitor. Nontheless, i am still concerned. Although the image and sound are both perfect at the moment, it doesn't seem right that my computer should only work with 1 out of 4 cables. I'm pretty sure something is wrong there.
And yes, I did check the HDMI port for damage. If something is wrong with it, I cant see it. Also, if the port is damaged, I don't understand why it would work perfectly with one of the cables.

Session Time Out capturing for legacy application running in portal

I am using portal URL iView to connect to legacy application. How to capture the session time of of that legacy application and show it in the portal. In portal I have already handled session time out which shows a javascript popup message. I want to call the same piece of code once session time out happens in the legacy application which is been accessed by portal through URL iview.

Hi Sudhir,
The handling of the session timeout should be done by the application itself not the portal. From the portal you have no way of working out what the application is doing. My suggestion to you is that you need to modify the application to handle the scenario you describe not the portal.

Crystal report Viewer Session times out for more data in Portal

Hi All,
     I am using below java SDK code to render a report in crystal report viewer. When i refresh report with more data(more parameter value) the server session times out in portal. Is there any way to fix this issue. The report loads data and then displays in Crystal report viewer, When more data is there the server times out as the server time is set to 60 sec. Is there any way to open the crystal report viewer as and when the report loads data to avoid server time out isse.
Please help . Please let me know if I am missing something.. Thanks in Advance!!!

BSP Session times out in Portal iView

HI,
I have a stateful BSP Application with two pages. First BSP Page navigates via a POST to third party site from which, the request returns back to the original BSP to the second page. I pass the url of the application, along with the session information, with the name of the second page to the site, using which the site posts the request back to the BSP. I have increased the session time out in ICF to 10 minutes. This works fine when executed as a standalone application.
I use the same BSP, as an iView in the Portal, and i get the Session Timed out error. I have selected the checkbox for the property "Supports Portal integration" in the application.
If i do not pass the session information, then the user is prompted to provide the credentials for the SAP system when the request returns from the third party site in the Portal.
Please provide your inputs/help on this.

I have created a webdynpro application & integrated in EP. I want to control the session time out for my application because if i run my application in Ep & the session time is out, i need to refresh my dynpro application.

Session Time out - Relogin not redirecting

Hi,
If I am in a particular page of an application, and session times out, I get Page Expired window. On click of that, it takes me to login page. After I relogin, it is NOT redirecting me to the page where the time out happened. It just redirects to the Application Main page. Is there a way to let ADF redirect to the page where time out happened?

Session Time out and session_timeout.jsp

We have Sun Java Identity Server 2005 Q1 installed as part of our Sun Java System Portal Server 2005 Q1 install.
When the authentication session times out, it redirects the user back to the login page. I remember that in 6.2 it used to show up the session_timeout.jsp page? Is there any way to make it work that way in Q1 2005 ?

To be more specific, find your top level desktop display profile (marked as Default Channel Name) container name. Then go to Portal desktop type (default, or sampleportal, or...) with above container directory.
