Sessions.xml is not found when debugging multiproject configuration

I have a TOPLink project and it works fine when I am debugging it. But when I am debugging a servlet located in another project and uses my TOPLink project, the sessions.xml file is not found even if I pass it as an absolute path to the xmlloader. Why?
I use the following construction:
xmlloader = XMLSessionConfigLoader( absolute_path_of_sessions_xml );
session = sessionmanager.getSession( xmlloader, name_of_my_session, class_loader );
I tried to pas this.getClass().getClassLoader and
Thread.currentThread.getContextClassLoade as class_loader, but without success. It's unbelievable. What can be the problem?

How are you packaging you application?
TopLink mapped classes and configuration files can be packaged directly in the WAR file under WEB-INF/classes.
Alternatively you can package your model and configuration files in a separate JAR file in your EAR separate from the WAR file where the web application (your servlet) is located. In this case you will need to configure the WAR file to explicitly have access to the contents of the JAR file.
There is also the option of accessing your persistence through a session bean facade using an EJB JAR file but this would not involve your servlet directly accessing the TopLink configuration.
Can you described how you are packaging your application and we can give some more pointed guidance on classpath location of your TopLink configuration files.

  • WRT54G3G – "Router not found" when trying to configure broadband cable network

    Hi,
    I have a WRT54G3G, v.1.1 router. I have used it successfully for ~3 years with mobile Internet (Huawei E800 card). Recently I installed broadband cable network in my place, tried to configure WRT54G3G to work with it and failed…
    I tried manual configuration, and I was not able to set it up. I downloaded „Setup Wizard”, and tried all three options:
    a) 3G/UMTS or GPRS
    b) Broadband WAN Only
    c) Broadband WAN and 3G/UMTS or GPRS
    Only option a) can be completed successfully. When I try b) or c), I get following message from „Setup Wizard”: „Router not found, Please make sure the router is properly connected and try again.” I am sure I connected all cables as instructed.
    When I plug cable network directly to my PC’s Ethernet slot, it is automatically configured, and all is working fine.
    Can anyone advise please what to do? Thank you!
    Best regards,
    Jakub
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    What is the ip address of your router? It seems like the WRT54G3G is already talking to your modem and is getting the connection properly. Make sure that the WRT is not on the 192.168.1.x segment.

  • PageDef.xml is not found when trying to enable MDS

    Our application uses JPA in the back end and fusion in the front end. we donot use databindings for integrating the backend object to the UI. I am trying to enable the mds by following the instructions in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/metadataservices-fmw-11gr1-130345.pdf.  Initially using filebasedmetadata service to check if MDS is working in our enviroment. I have configured mds to save table and columns when i change the value for the user it stores the value for that jspx file in chartingBreakdownL1.jspx.xml but when  it is trying to access the changed setting when i log out and log back in it is not able to restore the changed value. in the logs i get this

    Can someone help me in figuring out this issue.
    Bhoopathy

    1) Yes I am using file based MDS.
    2) the changed value is stored in the respective jspx file (chartingBreakdownL1.jspx.xml) when i log out and log back in the values are not restored from this file.
    3) In the log it is looking for the pagedef file  (chartingBreakdownL1PageDef.xml.xml) in the mds repository which is not stored as part of the mds file system. i have this file in the code base and using it for compiling but it is not getting saved to mds file system. It is trying to access this file and it is not able to read the values that is why it is saying "base read only = true". If you need this file is there a way to get this in the mds file repository.
    I am running this locally as a standalone server. i dont have enterpise manager installed. i have enabled the logging in "oracle diagnostics logging configuration" . for oracle.mds i have to set to finest that is why i am able to get the logs.
    thank you for the quick response.

    I have seen this error when I'm executing inside one of the (j2ee sun reference implementation) server containers (either web or ejb). I believe its caused by "something" having previously loaded the "sax 1 driver class". In my case, I think the container or server is loading the sax parser from a jar that contains a sax 1 version. If you can, ensure that nothing is loading the sax 1 parser from another jar on your system. Verify that you are loading the sax parser from a jar containing the latest version so that you get the sax 2 compliant parser. Good luck!

  • SSO Exception Invalid Session: Service URL not found:session

    I am running AM 7 (installed from JES) under Sun Web Server 6.1.
    The Policy Agent is installed in Tomcat 5.5 (on the same box).
    I am getting the exception: SSO Exception Invalid Session: Service URL not found:session
    when I try to run the SSO Serlvet example.
    I have searched the forum and found many people get this error and the advice seems to be check the config file. The Agent config file (AMAgent.properties) has all the right parameters in it (matches the server just fine because I authenticate before getting to the serlvet).
    I've tried to set the naming url thru the JVM command line args and programatically. I've been thru the client SDK install chapter many times.
    Still getting the same error.
    Help!
    Jason

    More info: I set the debug level in the AM server to message and in the amSSOProvider log, I get several Invalid Session ID.
    How could this be when I just successfully authenticated???
    I can also go to other protected web pages, and AM does not force me to reauthenticate, so obviously the cookie is good.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • UIXJSP App built off BC4J Project JBO Excep XML File not found for the Container

    Created a new project in folder "UIX JSP"
    "UIX JSP" note the space!

    When running a JSP - Get a JBO Error complaining that the XML File not found for the Container
    If I recreate the project with name UIX_JSP problem does not occur.

    I logged a bug on this.

  • XML File not found for the Container model.cpx

    I can run my application from JDeveloper without receiving the error. But when I deploy the application I get the following:
    500 Internal Server Error
    oracle.jbo.NoXMLFileException: JBO-26001: XML File not found for the Container model.cpx     at oracle.jbo.mom.DefinitionManager.loadProjectDefinition(DefinitionManager.java:751)     at oracle.jbo.uicli.mom.JUMetaObjectManager.createPool(JUMetaObjectManager.java:457)     at oracle.jbo.http.HttpContainer.findSessionCookie(HttpContainer.java:541)     at oracle.jbo.html.struts11.BC4JRequestProcessor.initPageFromPath(BC4JRequestProcessor.java:233)     at oracle.jbo.html.struts11.BC4JRequestProcessor.processMapping(BC4JRequestProcessor.java:123)     at org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.process(RequestProcessor.java:234)     at org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.process(ActionServlet.java:1292)     at org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.doPost(ActionServlet.java:510)     at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:760)     at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853)     at com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE].server.http.ServletRequestDispatcher.invoke(ServletRequestDispatcher.java:721)     at com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE].server.http.ServletRequestDispatcher.forwardInternal(ServletRequestDispatcher.java:306)     at com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.processRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:767)     at com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:259)     at com.evermind[Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0) Containers for J2EE].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:106)     at EDU.oswego.cs.dl.util.concurrent.PooledExecutor$Worker.run(PooledExecutor.java:803)     at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:479)
    Any Ideas?

    Hi,
    please explicitly "make" the project. One reason for this problem could be that the model.cpx isn't created properly. Select the model project and compile the complete project before deploying it. Sometimes it helps to clear the "class" directory of the project on teh file system before re-compiling

  • "XML File not found for the Container DataBindings.cpx" error after deploy

    Hello,
    I have a problem with my JSP-Javaproject. Local works all fine but when i deploy my project to a Oracle Aplication Server i allway get this XML-File-Not-found exception:
    oracle.jbo.NoXMLFileException: JBO-26001: XML File not found for the Container DataBindings.cpx
    In my EAR-File the DataBindings.cpx is at:

    My web.xml:

    </BC4JDataControl>
    </dataControlUsages>
    </Application>
    What can i do?
    Thanks, steve

    Adding the dependency in the ViewController fixed this for me.
    I'm using two AppModules in the controller and the second one wasn't being picked up.
    I was able to fix this by:
    Go to the Project Properties, select Dependencies, edit the Dependent Projects and Archives, find the model that's failing and add a tick in the Build Output box.
    The model should now be picked up in the ViewController's DataBindings.cpx source file, though I did have to restart JDev for this to be picked up.

    I found this on Metalink...
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
    Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
    The following is from Note 137429.1. Hope this helps.
    Raja.
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
    Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
    Action: 1. Make sure that the file is present. In particular, if the file is to be found in a zip/jar file, make sure that the Zip/JAR file is included in the CLASSPATH.
    2. This error is also reported if the name of the XML file does not match the object Name specified in the XML file. If the file system support case insensitive file names (e.g., Windows NT), make sure that the file name matches the object Name in the XML file in case-sensitive fashion.
    3. For a .JPX file, this error is reported if the JPX file is missing the JboProject XML tag. Check the JPX file to make sure that the valid tag is in there.
    4. One XML file may be extending another XML file (specified by the Extends element in this XML file). This error is reported if the base XML file is not found.
    5. When loading the XML file for a package (JboPackage tag), this error is reported if some unexpected error occurs while loading a containee.
    In all of the above cases, a more descriptive message may be printed on Diagnostic. If you are not seeing Diagnostic messages, you can run your application with Diagnostic turned on, as in "java -Djbo.debugoutput=console ...", to see Diagnostic messages.

    Best regards

    This also solved my issue. If you can backup the .xldatabasekey file before you reinstall this will allow the OIM application to read the OIM database. I was successfully able to run rm -Rf and wipe my entire Middleware directory. Then I reinstalled ALL of OIM and SOA back to the same VM. I saved the .xldatabasekey file before hand and dropped it right back to the same folder before I ran the rm -Rf command later after the OIM Domain was installed. Finally, as mentioned above, I logged into EM and found that I needed to add the .xldatabasekey "password" and simply used the same password that I entered during the OIM configure steps for the keystore. Remember the .xldatabasekey password IS NOT the xelsysadm password, but the KEYSTORE password. They are different. I am now able to log into OIM and I can see all the pre-existing users. Thanks for the help!

    This seems to be a classpath problem. You can also use JDK1.4.1
    which has crimson bundled with it. So you do not need to do any explicit settings for classpath.
    Pls let me know if you still have problems

  • Error oracle.sql.* and oracle.jdbc.driver.* not found when using oracle as a database

    I am using oracle as database and weblogic 4.5. I have copied the classes12.zip file in lib directory of weblogic. I am getting the error that oracle.sql.* and oracle.jdbc.driver.* not found when i am importing these packages in a jsp file. what i need to do to import oracle driver packages?I put it in the classpath also.

    Hi Anupama,
    First of all I would be surprised if you would not like to use the connection pooling feature of weblogic (in which case you might not be needing the import the classes directly), and would like to open direct connections to your database. Anyways for doing that I would recommend you to check out the readme doc that ships
    along with the jdbc oracle (classes12.zip etc). I am giving an excerpt over here:
    These are a few simple things that you should do in your JDBC program:
    1. Import the necessary JDBC classes in your programs that use JDBC.
    For example:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.math.*;
    2. Register the Oracle driver before before calling other JDBC APIs.
    (This is not needed if you are using the JDBC Server-side Internal
    Driver because registration is done automatically in the server.)
    To register the Oracle driver, make sure the following statement
    is executed at least once in your Java session:
    DriverManager.registerDriver(
    new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    3. Open a connection to the database with the getConnection call.
    Different connection URLs should be used for different JDBC
    drivers. The following examples demonstrate the different URLs.
    For the JDBC OCI8 Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:oci8:@<database>",
    "scott", "tiger");
    where <database> is either an entry in tnsnames.ora or a SQL*net
    name-value pair.
    For the JDBC Thin Driver, or Server-side Thin Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@<database>",
    "scott", "tiger");
    where <database> is either a string of the form
    <host>:<port>:<sid> or a SQL*net name-value pair.
    For the JDBC Server-side Internal Driver:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:oracle:kprb:");
    Note that the trailing ':' character is necessary. When you use
    the Server-side Internal Driver, you always connect to the
    database you are executing in. You can also do this:
    Connection conn
    = new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver().defaultConnection();
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • XML Gallery not found

    I have no less than 8 hours in google search and currently 5 adobe forum tabs open to determine how to solve the "XML Gallery not found" error. Many of us use Lightroom to create a flash web gallery.  We save it. We import it into dreamweaver into an existing page that has 5 table elements - by doing the insert / media / swf  and point to the swf file of the flash web gallery we just created....and see a nice gray insert with a flash symbol.. we upload it from dreamweaver to the site. At the site the page loads - the tables in the page loads - and the table element that contains the flash gallary - has a note that says  "XML gallery not found". Curiously - if I insert a hyperlink in a table on the page and make the link to the index.swf file - when I click the hyperlink a new page with that flash gallery loads and plays. The hyperlink gets there - the embed media in a table does not... Can anyone reference a solution that works? thanks in advance...  I see many people asking this type of question and have not found a searchable answer.  PS - I am stating this catagorically so the answer gods will work harder to quickly prove me wrong!~  please make me look really dumb and show me a link to the answer :L best - Keith

    Hi
    The answer is quite simple, the linking to the xml file is wrong for your dreamweaver page, (the swf file if opened separately will find the xml file).
    Create yout dreamweaver html page in exactly the same file position as your swf file, if this is not possible then you will have to do this the reverse way, create the swf/xml file in the same position as your html page.

  • How can I get my ES2 loops to play correctly? I keep getting the message that the audio is not found when I drag the loops from my audio browser even though they play fine in the preview.

    How can I get my ES2 loops to play correctly? I keep getting the message that the audio is not found when I drag the loops from my audio browser even though they play fine in the preview.

    It's exactly as I stated. Whenever I try to drag these kinds of loops (ESX24 / software instrument loops? the ones marked in green with the white music note next to them) from the loop browser into the timeline a message comes up saying Audio Not Found for that loop.  And a new track is created automatically when loops are dragged into the timeline, so I'm not creating some other random / synth instrument track so I'm not sure  what the deal is... But perhaps I'll try creating a software instrument track first and then drag the loop into that track and see what happens - maybe there's something with the default settings that automatically creates audio tracks whenever loops are imported?
