Set a particular column's Color when importing a list to Excel

Hi all,
I am displaying a list by using REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY.
It works fine.Now i import this List to Excel sheet by custom program to set the formatting part and for color prospect which is not working with standard Import functionality.I am using the Methods of Interface I_OI_SPREADSHEET.
Now my query is that how to set a particular column's Color ?
And how to set the width of a particular column ?
Suggess.
Points will be sured.

As it's just a report, you could adjust your SQL statement to something like:
select empno,
case when empno < 1000 then '<span style="color:red">' || ename || '</span>' else ename end empname
from emp
Change the test empno < 1000 to whatever test you require.

Menu background lose color when import to dvd sp

i create psd then flat it and save as tif and jpeg and even psd files. Both look good but when import to DVDSP, the color lose. Any suggestions? save png file?

Can't thank you enough.
I had been away from FCP and DVD SP for awhile and that can cause a loss of memory.
Your answer triggered my brain to export the finished project in FCP as a QT movie to my external drive and from there to DVD SP.
I also have forgotten most of the French I once knew as well.

Removing the ID of a lookup column when exporting SharePoint list to Excel

I export a list in Excel and I noticed the lookup column contains an ID together with the name (e.g. John Doe, #12). Is there a way I can avoid exporting the ID in Excel?

LookUp Field Values have a string representation of “(ID);#(VALUE)”, i.e. “2;#Second Entry”.
If you export the list in excel you could create a formula or macro that split/copy only the value in a
new column and then hide the real one.

How to set a particular column editable in adf?

I have a table which has 3 columns. While inserting new row, two column values are auto populated. One column should be editable. But in my case I am not able to edit the third column. How to make only the third column editable? I am using 11.1.2.2.0 version of JDeveloper

I have created view object based on the entity object. I have verified, the undatable check box is checked. Let me modify my question. I have master-child tables. I am implementing CRUD functionality in both the tables. Its done & working fine. When I insert new record in child table, two columns are auto populated, and the third column should be editable. If I don't auto populate, the third column is editable, but if I auto populate, third column is becoming non editable. How to achieve this?

SSIS: Why do columns become misaligned when importing flat files?

I am stumped with the following.
When I try to load a fixed length flat file into a table, the first few thousand records load correctly but then the columns start going out of sync.
Visually it looks like the data is drifting off to the right. Below is what the table looks like when the load completes:
Col1    Col2    Col3    Col4
1        1         1         1
1        1         1         1
1        1         1         1
   1        1         1         1
    1        1         1         1
      1        1         1         1
        1        1         1         1
Additional info:
1. The file has 400 000 records.
2. The first few thousand records load OK.
3. Source file is a flat file, fixed length, no delimeters.
4. All rows are same length, with LFCR.
I tried using a script task to check with C# if all rows are the same length and has the same line terminator, and could not pick up anything out of the ordinary.
What could be the cause?

I discovered the source of the problem, but still don't understand how to solve it.
There is one extra character in one of the columns every few thousand lines. This is the character: �
I don't understand why all the rows following a corrupt row is shifted by one character and not just the effected row?
Secondly, via a script task, SSIS indicates that the length of the row is still the same, despite the extra character. Is it possible that SSIS does not recognize this character and this is what is causing all columns to shift / mis-align?

Why are my digital raw files changing color when imported in photoshop and light room?

when I open my raw files in photoshop, the whites get blown out and the images have green/ yellow tint. I've tried using color sync utilities to correct the issue, but I keep getting this message when I try to repair profiles:

Getting error when importing BP records from Excel

Hi,
I am familiar with importing from Excel into SAP using Admin>Data Import/Export, so I very puzzled by an error message.
Row Number 1: Default payment method should be included with the BP's payment methods [Business Partner - Payment Method Code]
This error appears for every row. I do not see the field in the Import From Excel Field pull-down menu that I can add or assign to a column in my excel sheet that will fix this problem.

If you are so confident about the settings in B1 then it is probably something to do with the import engine.
The other option would be to import this through DTW. Unless there is a compleling why you only want to use the Import utility I would not wait to do this using DTW as it is equally easier given that it is only BP Master and everything is in excel already.

When importing SP-list in Name ID is displayed followed by ";#"

In the Sharepoint the name is correctly displayed without "ID;#". However Siena adds it. How can I avoid that?

Hi Mobilizer,
This is not something we have seen before and it could be due to your SharePoint list configuration. Could you please check in the SharePoint List settings that the column name does not have the # sign ?
Does the ID# cause any additional issue ?

How to define cells/columns for export/re-import to another app

I want to export a basic contact list to then import into another program (it's an email program, doesn't matter). It's a basic table with 3 columns: first name, last name, email address. How do you define the columns/cells so when importing in another app it knows what is what. Want to export as a tab-delimited or comma-delimited text file.

It's hard to say what that un-named other app might require for field identification, but your best bet is to have the field titles in a Header Row.
To produce a comma-delimited text file, assure that your data table is the only thing in your document. Isolating the data in this way will prevent complications. Then, File > Export > CSV.
To produce a tab-delimited text file, Select and Edit > Copy the table in Numbers and then Edit > Paste and Match Style in a Pages doc. Save the Pages doc.

ORA-00926: missing VALUES keyword | when importing data

Hello,
I get the missing VALUES keyword error when importing data from an Excel spreadsheet. Until yesterday everything worked fine. Today I'm having this problem because OSD does not build the DML correctly. See:
insert into WFT_GROEPEN (CODE,OMSCHRIJVING,NIVEAU,INDIC_LAAGSTE_NIVEAU) VALUES('1.1.1.1','- Value of business acquired',4,'N');
Working with OSD 1.2.1 on Windows XP.
Anyone got a clue?

Thanks for your reply. I found the problem myself. I got 2 columns in the Excel sheet with the same name. Then OSD creates an insert statement like following which gives the 'missing VALUES keyword' error.
insert into WFT_GROEPEN (CODE,OMSCHRIJVING,NIVEAU,INDIC_LAAGSTE_NIVEAU)NIVEAU) VALUES('3','Toelichting balans beleggingen',NULL,'N',NULL);

Error when importing from Excel in SAP

Hello experts,
My gets error when importing price list using the import form Xl menu :
(-1200) DBMCconnBase::EndTransaction SQLEndTran sqlState 08S01, nativeErr: 0, errText:[Microsoft][SQL Native Client] Communication link failure
This happens only when connected with SAP Client, it never happens when connected in terminal server directly on SAP server.
Server 2003, MSSQL 2005 SP2
SAP 2007 Sp01 PL08 HF01
This has always been working before, it has stopped working when he changed the motherboard 3 weeks ago. Nothing else have changed.
Any idea where to look at?

Thanks for your answer. that would have probaly fix the issue
my techs fixed the issue by doing the 2 following thinks, i don't know if only one of them would have fix it.
1. in the boot.ini file there was a /3G in the end, restricting the memory to 1G for the OS. The tech deleted it.
2. in management studio, the technician changed the memory reserved for sql from 9/12 to 14/16Gb
there was probably not enough RAM available for the import.
since that change it works well.

Importing contact list from Xcel

I am having difficulty importing an xcel sheet in CSV into my email campaign due to errors saying the formating of the columns isn't proper. I have it set up with First Name, Last Name, and Email address on the first line with the email names starting under that. What are the proper columns to set up?

The best way to ensure the columns match up when importing is to download the import template leaving it unaltered when adding your contact data.
