  • Set ALV Cell visibility property

    Hi,
    I would have 2 tables for ALV. One table consists of the data to be bound to the ALV. The other table would have the read only property(boolean) filled for each of the ALV cells.
    I would want to set the property of each ALV cell using the second table. How do i do that?
    Currently i am just testing it for few attributes statically using the below code.
    DATA lo_nd_date_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
    DATA lo_el_date_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
    DATA: lt_ele_set TYPE wdr_context_element_set.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <DATE_TABLE> via lead selection
      lo_nd_date_table = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_date_table ).
    lt_ele_set = lo_nd_date_table->get_elements( ).
      LOOP AT lt_ele_set INTO lo_el_date_table.
          lo_el_date_table->set_attribute_property(
               attribute_name = 'WK02'                                 -
    > Attribute Name (Column Name)
               property       = if_wd_context_element=>e_property-read_only
               value          =  'X' ).
    << Similarly for other attributes>>
    ENDLOOP.
    I have inserted this code at the end. Initially few other properties were set to the cells.
    This seems to be not working.

    Hi Lekha,
    In my case, the columns represents dates. The rows represent projects. So, only those row cells are editable where the project is valid.
    1. I have created READ_ONLY attribute for the date node (table).
    2. I am filling the READ_ONLY to abap_true or abap_false based on the following condition.
       Even if one of the projects is not valid for a date, then READ_ONLY = ABAP_TRUE. This means, even if one cell is set to abap_true, then READ_ONLY is set to abap_true.
    3. I modify the date node and bind it with the READ_ONLY set row wise.
    Loop at the data and set read only
      navigate from <CONTEXT> to <DATE_TABLE> via lead selection
      lo_nd_date_table = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_date_table ).
      CALL METHOD lo_nd_date_table->get_static_attributes_table
        IMPORTING
          table  = lt_date_table    .
      LOOP AT lt_date_table INTO ls_date_table.
        lv_tabix = sy-tabix.
          READ TABLE wd_this->gt_prop INTO ls_prop INDEX lv_tabix.
          IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
            IF ls_prop-wk01 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk02 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk03 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk04 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk05 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk06 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk07 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk08 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk09 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk10 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk11 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk12 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk13 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk14 = abap_true OR
              ls_prop-wk15 = abap_true.
              ls_date_table-read_only = abap_true.
            ELSE.
              ls_date_table-read_only = abap_false.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
        MODIFY lt_date_table FROM ls_date_table INDEX lv_tabix TRANSPORTING read_only.
      ENDLOOP.
      CALL METHOD lo_nd_date_table->bind_table
        EXPORTING
          new_items            = lt_date_table
          set_initial_elements = abap_true.
    4. I loop through the column reference and use the code mentioned earlier.
              CREATE OBJECT lr_input
                EXPORTING
                  value_fieldname = lv_id.
              lo_column->set_cell_editor( value  = lr_input ).
              lr_input->set_read_only_fieldname( value = 'READ_ONLY' ).
    The expected output is different from the input i had mentioned earlier for Row 1, row 2, Row 3 and row 4. Here, i would get all the rows as non editable except for Row 3.
    I would want to set all columns based on condition.

  • Set ALV cell, use of event DATA_CHANGED

    Hi experts,
    I want to set some ALV input fields using abap.
    That's easy, I can modify the table as I need and call the refresh of the ALV table ( refresh_table_display).
    But how can I "fill" the fields that the event DATA_CHANGED is called?
    When I fill manually in ALV, this event is raised...I need the event also when filling with ABAP...
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hello Michael,
    This link shows you the right way to do:
    Get Changed Value In ALV Grid Dynamically - ABAP Development - SCN Wiki
    Inside HANDLE_DATA_CHANGED method, you can change the value of a cell in this way:
    CALL METHOD PR_DATA_CHANGED->MODIFY_CELL
        EXPORTING
          I_ROW_ID    = IT_TABLE-ROW_ID
          I_FIELDNAME = 'FIELD'
          I_VALUE     = IT_FLIGHT-FIELD.
    I hope you help.

  • Setting new cell variant for an alv table column

    Hi,
    I want to set a new cell variant for a column. Therefore I did the following steps:
    1. Create an object of CL_SALV_WD_CV_STANDARD
    2. SET_KEY( 'CELLVAR1 )
    3. set_cell_design([..]-goodvalue_medium )
    4. SET_EDITOR( lr_alv_input_field )
    After that I added the cell variant to the column by using the method "add_cell_variant".
    The last step is to call method SET_SELECTED_CELL_VARIANT.
    I checked my program by using get_selected_cell_variant( ) and the return string was okay.
    But when the table is displayed, the new cell variant isn't working. I defined an input field as the cell editor for my new cell variant but when the table is shown, it is just text - no input possible. In addition to that the selected cell design (goodvalue_medium , step 3) isn't working. So I think the cell variant is not used.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hendrik

    Hi
    I wonder if you can help me please, I too am having issues implementing ALV cell changes in WDA?
    I am basically trying to dynamically change the individual color of a cell (not the entire column or row) dependant on certain criteria. I apologies but find that you are the closest resource for any potential information. Please see screen shot below.
    Currently my code is as follows:
    see: www.picasaweb.google.co.uk/dave.alexander69/Pictures#5244416971466907938
    data: lr_cv TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_cv_standard.
    loop at table 1 row data
            loop at table columns
              for the date columns only...
              IF <fs_column>-id(4) = 'CELL'.
               get and set column header dates from select option user input - done
                loop at table 2 row data (table 2 contains date ranges for row concerned)
                  MOVE: ls_zdata-variance TO lv_variance.
                  method 1 - as in sap press WD4A -:
                  lr_cv = cl_wd_table_standard_cell=>new_table_standard_cell(
                                                     view        = view
                                                    variant_key = lv_variance ).
                 as mentioned...
                  CREATE OBJECT lr_cv.
                  lr_cv->set_key( 'VARIANCE' ).
                  lr_cv->set_cell_design( '09' ).
                  lr_cv->set_editor( lr_input_field ).
                  lr_column->add_cell_variant( lr_cv ).
                  lr_column->set_cell_editor( lr_input_field ).
                  lr_column->set_sel_cell_variant_fieldname( 'VARIANCE' ).
                  lr_column->set_cell_design_fieldname( value = 'COLOR_CELL' ).
                  lr_field = lr_table->if_salv_wd_field_settings~get_field( <fs_column>-id ).
                  lr_field->if_salv_wd_sort~set_sort_allowed( abap_false ).
                  the only way I get cell coloring to work - but this is for entire column?
                  ls_zdata-color_cell = cl_wd_table_standard_cell=>e_cell_design-one.
                  MODIFY lt_zdata FROM ls_zdata..
                ENDLOOP.
              ENDIF.
              IF <fs_column>-id = 'COLOR_CELL'.
                CALL METHOD lr_column->set_visible( EXPORTING value = '00' ).
              ENDIF.
            ENDLOOP
          ENDLOOP.
    As you see I am in the dark a bit regarding cell variants and wonder if you can point me in a better direction.
    Many thanks for any help,
    Dave Alexander

    I am using a table in Numbers to plot daily graph lines. Mood swings of how I am on the day, i"m a depressive.
    If I fill a cell with a step box at say zero it plots the graph. I can't actually set the cell value until the actual day but the graph plots it at zero when I don't want it to plot anything. Is there a work around. so thatbgraph only plots on the day?

    The answer is (sort of) in your subject, but edited out of the problem statement in the body of your message.
    When you use a stepper or a slider, the value in the cell is always numeric, and is always placed on the chart if that cell is included in the range graphed by the chart.
    But if you use a pop-up menu cell, you can specify numeric or text values in the list of choices for in the menu. Numeric values will be shown on the chart. Text values will not.
    For the example, the values list for the pop-up menu was:
    5
    3
    1
    Choose
    -1
    -3
    -5
    The first pop-up was set to display Choose, then the cell was filled down the rest of the column. Any text value (including a single space, if you want the cell to appear blank) may be used instead of Choose.
    For charts with negative Y values, the X axis will not automatically appear at Y=0. If your value set will include negative values, I would suggest setting the Y axis maximum and minimum to the maximum and minimum values on your menu list, rather than letting Numbers decide what range to include on the chart. Place a line shape across the chart at the zero level, and choose to NOT show the X axis.

    Barry

  • HT3349 How do you select a sub-set of cells from the entire document so you can print only those specific cells?

    How do you select a sub-set of cells from the entire document so you can print only those specific cells?

    There is no analog to MS Excels print range.  So the next best thing is to plan your data so that you don't need to use print range.  The next best thing after that is to select the range of cells you want to print, then copy, the switch to the application Preview, and create a new document from the clipboard (select the menu item "File > New from Clibboard") then select all, copy then paste to the destination (maybe an email) .
    You can also paste that portion of the table into another table (or a new table) by pasting values only

  • How do I remove a selected set of cells?

    How do I remove or delete a selected set of cells (ex. rectangle of C1 to E26).
    In Excel, I can delete such a group of cells and all the data to the right of those cells shifts over.
    Is this possible in Numbers or should I just go back to Excel?

    Michael Force wrote:
    Thank you for your attempt to help. This does not work for me, perhaps because I failed to fully understand what Yvan is trying to say. You are saying I need to delete cells at the bottom of the column,
    It's not what I wrote.
    Assuming that you want to remove cells C12 thru C14, I asked you to select cells C15 thru C9999999 then move the selected block to cell C12.
    Old cell C15 will become cell C12
    Old cell C16 will become cell C13
    Old cell C17 will become cell C14
    Your problem is different than the original one which was:
    I want to delete a range of cells in a single column, say for instance 3 cells, and have the entire column shift up 3 cells.
    and I'm not sure that the "Delete cells" function of Excel will do the trick.
    I assumes (because you didn't give the complete info) that you want to remove cells C12 thru C14.
    Select cells C15 thru C40, move the block to C12.
    Old cell C15 will become cell C12
    Old cell C16 will become cell C13
    Old cell C17 will become cell C14
    Old cell 40 will become cell C37
    cells C38, C39, C40 will be empty.

                                int row, int column) {
              setBackground(colorBG[row][column]);
            return this;

    I would guess that it's because you set the background to Color.WHITE
    I'm not sure why you're passing in an array of Color objects ... typically you'd either pick the color based on the value of the cell, or use standard colors.
    Finally, your getTableCellRendererComponent() should check the isSelected argument, and use a different color to highlight the selection.

  • How to set a cell editable at runtime for jtable

    Hi evry body
    i need to set a cell as editable during runtime and set some value for the cell and make it non editable after setting value
    how can i do it? urgent help appreciated
    regards
    anil

    You could override the methods isCellEditable(...) and setValueAt(...) in your JTable's TableModel to get the effect desired
    // Assuming that each element of the array will be false initially
    boolean[][] valueSet = new boolean[noRows][noCols];
    public boolean isCellEditable(int row, int col) {
      return !valueSet[row][col];
    public void setValueAt(Object obj, int row, int col) {
      super.setValueAt(obj, row, col);
      valueSet[row][col] = true;
    }

  • How to set JTable cell editable/non-editable dynamically using NetBean?

    I am using NetBean 6.5, create a database desktop application, I using the persistence entity manager to bind my JTable with database.
    Now, I want to set practicular cells which are enable and disable, I tried to create my own table model and override the isEditable() method, which it seems didn't work. I guessed the problem is the persistence connection between my Table and database.
    How can I solve it? Any example? I just googled the web and can't find example which use netbean combined with database. I know that a single JTable would work when creating your own model.
    thx.

    I know what coding i did, Yes u r right but im new to GUI programming only,
    That's why i posted it to forums, I gone through the Control Flow Statements link what u have given.
    U didnt get my question at all.
    Again the problem im facing is the table is already displayed with 2nd column uneditable.
    When some Action done on table, i need to make 2nd column editable at run time.
    Thanks if u provide me the solution instead of deciding what type of programmer im.

  • Is it possible to set the cell height in a cell style?

    In the attached screenshot, the cell height is set to exactly 0.125. I put my cursor in the cell, then opened the cell styles panel and created a new cell style based on this cell. But when I apply the cell style to other cells, it does not apply the cell height. There were no overrides or other styles applied to the other cells. I also opened up the cell style definition from the cell styles panel, but don't see anywhere to set the cell height there either. Is there another way to do this that I am missing?

    It is possible - and it's fairly simple.
    To set the row height as part of the cell style, all you have to do is use the cell inset above and below. As long as you set the style as 'At least' then this works perfectly well for having predefined cell styles.
    I have been using this successfully for large financial documents for some time without any hitches. For example I use it to get separation between sections within the tables by having a style with extra space above, and similarly for totals rows at the bottom of the table. It can of course also apply different stroke styles at the same time. Having the style set as 'At Least' also allows for multiple line entries to still have the correct spacing above and below.
    So if you spend a bit of time calculating required heights and setting up your styles, then apply a keyboard shortcut to each style, you can then save a whole lot of time when formatting the document.
    I've just finished nearly 400 pages of financials using this method over the past couple of days!
    This solution may not suit your sitation, but if you have a lot of tables to get through it's got to be worth giving it a try.
