Set ALV first row

Hello ABAP Expert,
I have to set the first row displayed in an ALV grid using ABAP.
In fact the list contains a lot of lines but the user need that the list after refresh keep the position without to repeat the scrolling from the top of the list.
The ALV is displayed using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC.
I have try several methods but without success.
Our help is welcome.
Christophe

Hello REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC
You can achieve your goal using fm REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC (although it would be much easier to use class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID).
The EXIT routine for command handling (parameter I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND) has a parameter R_UCOMM with the following fields (and more of them):
refresh  : (exporting) list is to be refreshed
col_stable:(exporting) keep column positions in refresh
row_stable:(exporting) keep row positions in refresh
If you set COL_STABLE = 'X' and ROW_STABLE = 'X' you achieve the same when using go_grid->REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY ( using parameter IS_STABLE).
Regards
   Uwe
PS: See documentation of fm REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY.

    Hi. I hava an alv with colour in some rows. When i want to select another row distint the first, it always goes to de first row and it doesn't allow me select other row.
    how can i solve this to select for example the third row.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    Are you programatically setting the selection of the ALV row anywhere in your program? This might happen if you set the lead selection of the node in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of your view. Can you please check that ? Also you can try changing the selection mode of your ALV:
    lo_config_model_value = lo_interfacecontroller->get_model( ).
    lo_config_model_value->IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_SETTINGS~SET_SELECTION_MODE(CL_WD_TABLE=>E_SELECTION_MODE-AUTO).

  • How to restrict the default selection of first row in ALV  in Webdynpro

    Hi Experts,
    In webdynpro i used ALV to display the bulk amount of datas under a view container. While running it ll cme by default selection on first row. how to restrict that.....

    Hi Vimal,
    Whenever we create nodes then by default the Initialization lead selection property of  node is always checked. That why in the alv by default the first row is selected.
    To restrict this default selection just unchecked the Initialization lead selection property of your node.

  • Tabular Form - Setting a default value just on first row.

    Hi all,
    how to set a tabular form default value only in the first row?
    When I click on "add row" I want the new row have a blank value.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    When you add a new row to the tabular form, any existing rows should be saved to the database. You can, therefore, check for the existence of such records and set the value of a hidden page item accordingly. The default value for a tabular form item can then be based on this hidden item.
    This can be done by setting the Source Used to "Always, ..." on the hidden item called, say, P1_DEPTNO_DEFAULT, and the Source to something like:
    DECLARE
    X NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT COUNT(*) INTO X FROM EMP WHERE DEPTNO = :P1_DEPTNO;
    IF X > 0 THEN
      RETURN '';
    ELSE
      RETURN :P1_DEPTNO;
    END IF;
    END;This is a "PL/SQL Function Body" Source Type.
    In this example, we are checking if there are any EMP records with a DEPTNO value that matches P1_DEPTNO. If there are, then the tabular form must contain at least one row already, so we return an empty string. If there are no records, the tabular form must be empty, so we return the P1_DEPTNO value.
    The Default settings on the DEPTNO column in the tabular form would then be:
    Default Type: Item (application or page item name)
    Default: P1_DEPTNO_DEFAULT

  • Getting the first row of a result set

    I need to get the first row returned from a select query that looks like this:
    SELECT DISTINCT parm1 FROM table1 WHERE parm1 > 10 ORDER BY parm1
    Can someone please show me how to do this?
    Alex

    Because you're only getting one row you don't need to bother with a DISTINCT clause. You'll need to order your data first and then nab the first row from that result set.
    SELECT parm1
      FROM (SELECT   parm1
                FROM table1
               WHERE parm1 > 10
            ORDER BY parm1)
    WHERE ROWNUM <= 1;

  • [Solved] 27.8.4 How to Create a VO on a REF CURSOR - Missing first row

    Searching the forum I found: BC4J - Get one less row from view object.
    Dive into BC4J related  --REF CURSOR (Resultset)
    The first message did not have any answers, and the second had a follow up question - still no answers though - and I thought I would try a different title.
    (This is off topic, but it would be a great help if the search results also displayed the number of replys in the thread. That way, I wouldn't have to view the messages that don't have responses.)
    (This will be deployed on a server that has the ADF for JDeveloper 10.1.2 installed, so using that version of JDeveloper to develop the app.)
    Okay, back to the problem ==>
    I created a VO from a ref cursor, using the manual as a guide. When I run a page that displays a read only table of the view object, I am missing the first row. (Always the first row!) I don't have any order set, and if I call the ref cursor in a Java program for testing, I see all rows and the count is correct.
    One other point, when I call the page, I get the following validation error:
    Validation Error
    You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
    * JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.ClassCastException, msg=null
    * null
    I still see the table, it is just missing the first row of data.
    In my form I have first, previous set, next set , and last
    navigation buttons. If I press last then first, the error goes away. I still don't see the missing row though.
    Any guidance would be appreciated! I can post my code, but it is pretty much the same code in the AdvancedViewObjectExamples.zip in the ViewObjectOnRefCursor example. I just substituted my two package calls (getRefCursor and getRefCursorCount).
    Thanks, Ken

    Went back to a backup copy of the source. Fixed the error. Now I'm back to just not being able to see the first row of data.
    Additional Note: I had removed fields in the display. Once I truncated the ps_txn table in the schema defined by the model, the data would display (Still without the first record.)
    Are there any examples that are more in depth than the few pages in the developer guide?

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for reply!!

  • How to get value from First Row in an REF CURSOR

    I have a REF CURSOR defind like:
    open out_RESULT_SET for
    select
    EVENT_UID,
    EVENT_DATE,
    EVENT_ITEM
    from
    EVENT
    order by
    EVENT_DATE ASC;
    I want to also set the value of a variable v_FIRST_EVENT_DATE to the value in the EVENT_DATE column of the first row.
    I know I could do a:
    select
    min(EVENT_DATE)
    into
    v_FIRST_EVENT_DATE
    from
    EVENT;
    But I would rather just use the REF CURSOR (I think).
    Thanks for the help.

    How would I get v_FIRST_EVENT_DATE set to the date of the first event in the REF CURSOR out_RESULT_SET?Normal fetch into associated local variables should suffice.
    Something along those lines:
    declare
       v_first_event_date   event.event_date%type;
       v_event_uid          event.event_uid%type;
       v_event_date         event.event_date%type;
       v_event_item         event.event_item%type;
    begin
       open out_result_set for
          select   min (event_date) over () first_event_date, event_uid,
                   event_date, event_item
              from event
          order by event_date asc;
       loop
          fetch out_result_set
           into v_first_event_date, v_event_uid, v_event_date, v_event_item;
          exit when out_result_set%notfound;
          do_something;
       end loop;
      close out_result_set;
    end;

  • Iterator moves to first row on Timeout

    I've been finally able to reproduce an issue that has randomly popped up in my application where some of the datapoints in my page seem to point to the 'first' row and not to the 'current' row.
    Please consider the following test scenario:
    - My taskflow consists on 2 pages: the first one automatically runs a query and shows a bunch or clickable results (Parent1, Parent2, etc). Upon clicking on any of the results page #2 displays the details.
    - Page #2 is organized such that the top section shows datapoints coming from a Parent record and the bottom section render a bunch of tabs(showDetailItem) components where the children's datapoints reside.
    - Now this is the issue I'm facing: If I go to the details page for let's say row #10 I can see as expected the datapoints for Parent10 as well as its correspondent child records. So far so good but if I leave the page unattended for about an hour and then try to switch to a different tab to my surprise what I see are the children of Parent1. The end result is that the top section is pointing to Parent10 but the bottom section which is the one that was refreshed after an hour now points to Parent1 in the previous screen.
    It seems to me that I'm having a timeout issue that's causing the current ViewState to get lost.
    My web.xml session timeout setting is set for 3 hours so I don't think this is the issue. Where else should I set this value?
    Another alternative would be that regardless of the timeout setting I would like to catch this timeout event and automatically redirect the user to the login page but I'm not sure how to do this in ADF.
    Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    MV

    Hi MV,
    There are 2 places were you can set the timeout one is the web.xml and the other one is the weblogic.xml. The former takes precedence over the latter, however I think your current timeout might be cause by weblogic.xml given that your web.xml already has 3 hours. In any case if you would like to redirect to another page after timeout, you need to create a PagePhaseListener, see this blog post for an example:

    Let us know how it goes,

  • FCC..how to remove first row

    Hello experts,
    I have configured a end to end sccenario fo csv files, Im using fcc for the sender file adapter
    The first row has all the field names such as name,number and the rest of the rows have the values.
    when I run the scenario the xml being formed has the field names and the vales..
    example
    <name>name</name>
    <number>number</number>
    <name>Teja</name>
    <number>10</number>
    what i want in the xml is just
    <name>Teja</name>
    <number>10</number>
    could any one pls help me out on this?
    I have used fieldNames,fielsSeparaor and ignorerecorstSetName as the content conversion parameters..
    do i have to add any more?
    Regards,
    Teja

    Hi,
    You should achieve this by using Document Offset parameter on the Sender side.  Set Document Offset to 1 in order  to ignore the first line.
    "●      Under Document Offset, specify the number of lines that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
    This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing. If you do not make an entry, the default value is zero lines."
