Set arch forums or wiki in opera's keyword quick search?

Hey just wondering if this is at all possible.  I don't really know much about html or search engine protocols, but I think it would be really cool if someone knew how to set up custom searches in opera's keyword searches.  This is what I am thinking of if anyone knows how:
type f  ---> searches bbs.archlinux.org  forum search
type w ---> searches wiki.archlinux.org wiki search
It would be awesome if anyone knows how to do this since I do so many forum searches it would be nice to just pop opera open and quickly search.

In Konqueror, this works as the search function:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/search.php?action=search&keywords=\{@}&author=&forum=-1&search_in=all&sort_by=0&sort_dir=DESC&show_as=topics&search=Submit
Where \{@} is the search word. So in the 'Web Shortcuts' menu I have a shortcut named 'arch' under the title 'Arch Linux'. If I go to the address bar and type:
arch: test
It will search for 'test' with all the default search settings. It seems like this should be pretty easy to translate to Opera.

  • [SOLVED] Can only login to Arch forum with Firefox

    Hi everyone,
I'm a new member and thus do not familiar with the rule. Please tell me if I post in the wrong place !
I have registered a new account on Arch forum. However, I can only login with Firefox.
When I try to login with other browser (Opera, Chromium, Konquerer), it says:
    Redirecting
    Logged in successfully. Redirecting …
Click here if you do not want to wait any longer (or if your browser does not automatically forward you)
And then redirect me to the previous page without changing my login status.
When I login with Firefox, everything is normal. My login status is changed and I can post this one !
I have just installed Arch Linux this afternoon and have not changed anything.
    Does the forum have problem?!
Anyone has the same problem with me?!

Your SYSTEM is broken because a browser does not work? And that requires a reinstall?
There may be a problem during installation. That's what I mean.
Anyway, I have just installed Arch Linux. Firefox is still the only browser that work.
Your time would be better spent fixing the problem first. Cache or configuration, pick one or both.
I'm pretty sure that cache and configuration are not concerned with this problem. I'm a web developer and I know these stuffs.
Besides, I don't think that we need to config anything with a newly installed browser. If the default settings do not work with normal website, it's a bad browser (in this case, we have three bad browsers: Konqueror, Chromium, Opera... and may be more).
I'm using KDE and I don't know whether this problem comes from KDE or not. However, I can login to many other forums with Konqueror, Opera and Chromium.
This forum may not create the session or cookies correctly when I use other browsers.
Anyway, If no one confirms that he or she has the same problem, let's close this topic here.

  • Is it possible to set the precision for the subtraction operator?

    Hi everyone.
I have two complex double precision numbers that are suppose to be equals. Each one is the result of different sets of equations.
When I subtract one from the other the result is not zero.
I think this can be explain by the fact that they are quite large numbers (about 1E+101), causing the subtraction operator to drop (or round, or do something not legit with) the two numbers. Moreover, if I repeat the subtraction with different large numbers, I obtain about half of the time the expected result (zero) and the rest of the time I obtain a value between 1E+84 and 1E+86.
What I would like is to get the result right everytime, so I thought about setting a precision to the subtraction operator. Is that possible? If it is, how am I suppose to do that and if not, what's wrong with the subtraction operator?
    Thanks
    tonh

Thought 1: 1e+101 is pretty big!  Do you *need* all your calcs to carry such a big exponent?  For example, can you run all the calcs on values that have been scaled by 1e-100, then at the end of all the calcs scale back by 1e+100?
Thought 2: If you just need to compare for approximate equality, you could divide the difference by the larger of the two values being subtracted.  If you subtract two virtually equal 1e+101 values, you may get a difference in the order of 1e+85.   The division will give you a ratio of ~1e-16.  Ratios in that realm will mean that the two original values are about as nearly equal as the floating point representation can express.   This type of method scales pretty well to work with both very small and very large floating point numbers.
Thought 3: If the inputs to your calcs are in the order of 1e+85 or less, you may really have your work cut out for you.  You'll need to think carefully about floating point representation error at each step of the calculations to know where you can round, truncate, approximate, etc.  There may be places where rounding will be *necessary* and other places where it is *disastrous*.
To summarize: you need to apply some of your error knowledge to your code.  The 1e+101 calculated values probably don't have more than 6-8 *significant* digits of accuracy, right?  (Most numbers come from some kind of measurement, or a rounded-off value for a scientific constant, etc.)  You'll need to analyze your values and calcs to understand about how many digits of the 1e+101 numbers are truly *significant*.  Then your code will need to treat values which differ by less than that amount as if they are truly equal.

  • Setting deletion indicator/Flag for an operation in production order

    Dear All, Hi
How to set deletion indicator/flag for an operation in a production order. I don't want to delete the operation as such. Please help & suggest.
    Ragards,
    Shaiz

    Hi Shaiz,
I hope the requirement is just like you posted earlier as in case of component deletion.
Here in this case also the behaviour of the order remains the same.
So you can go for release the order as soon as the order gets created, your both the requirements can be fullfilled.
Also you havn't provided the exact feedback on the solutions offered by all of us, on your last query.
Request you to give detailed input on the same.
    Hope thish helps you.

  • Forum and wiki document configuration

    hello everybody,
it's so hard find on line documents about forum and wiki configuration.
    Does anybody have direct link?
it's possible configurate the port? we published the site on internet but the wiki and forum pages don't appears. seems there are working in port 8073.
    hope to have some suggestion
    thanks

"Wiki documents" are a feature of Document Service. This is why Yannick complained that the name is a bit confusing.
There is also a "Wiki", which allows you to create/maintain wiki pages.
say if i want to customise it then what do i need to do and more importantly i want the steps to use document task flowsWhat do you want to customize? If you search Yannick's site there are also blog articles on how to customize task flows.
If you want to just use them, you can go ahead without customizations - I'd recommend to get familiar first what OOTB task flows can do for you. I guess for your use case they should be sufficient.

If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast.  If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used.  The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID .  Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network.  A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default.  Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in.  HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you.  You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files.  Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

I read this to say that the phone is not jailbroken and the OP does not want to jailbreak it.
The only way to unlock it is to contact the carrier it is locked to, and ask them to unlock it.
You are also in the unfortunate position that the iPhone is not supported in Iran due to the international embargo.

  • [SOLVED] Unable to set up wireless connection (wiki read)

Well, as you can see that's my 1st post. That's why I want, at first, congratulate the community for the amazing wiki and forums. It helped so much.
But I'm writing here because I have a problem that I'm unable to resolve with the wiki: The wireless connection. It doesn't work.
Now I will post my hardware and some software:
    ASUS Eeepc 1000
01:00.0 Network controller: Ralink corp. RT2860 (as # lspci | grep -i net says)
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 Gigabit or Faster Ethernet (rev b0) (as # lspci | grep -i net says)
Linux Kernel 3.2.4-1-ARCH (as # uname -r says)
    I3 window manager
    wireless_tools and wpa_supplicant installed
(If you want to know something more, ask me)
The wireless is enabled in the BIOS and the led indicator is on.
Being the network controller RT2860, must I do something special? I tried to blacklist what the wiki says with no results.
I have no problems with wired connection, but I can't set up my wireless connection with the # ip link set wlan0 up command (and yes, I execute this command as su or with sudo). I3 corroborates it in the status bar: W: down.
    # ip link list
    1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    ( I had it disconnected when I did this check)2: eth0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state DOWN qlen 1000 link/ether 00:22:15:08:af:e2 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

I tried a lot of thing, but no results at all. Must I configure manually some file like wpa_supplicant.conf, rc.conf or others? It is normal that in rc.conf, NETWORKING tab, the only interface is  eth0 (interface=eth0) with no other references to wlan0?
    Thanks for your attention.

That thing on the wiki about blacklisting is probably outdated, it's from the times the kernel had two Ralink drivers. Now there's only one, and you should not blacklist anything.
rc.conf is only for wired interfaces. For wireless you can do stuff manually, or use a manager - netcfg, wicd, networkmanager.
And that's that. For further help, you'll have to provide details about which commands you used and what their output is.

The Wiki concept is all about sharing within a community, so feel free to modify the content - more accurately 'our' content - and maybe start some other pages, such as one about modifying logon pages - a fairly consistent topic in this forum

Dude thank-you for your wonder detailed knowldge, I have descovered that lets say xp 1700 in a ultra 2 can only handle at the most 143fsb mult at 12.
Given the settings" irq's are a major",part of directing traffic and power? example:
Sound blaster Live , uses two irq's most common at"Auto" is, irq 10, or 5, and Sound blaster 16 emulation usually takes irq 5,. I have found that the sound card in slot3 works great , but to do this I had to change the Bio's and assign slot 3 irq 7 . and make sure printer port has share irq enabled
Problems that accure with bad traffic are like this. Start a dedicated server. minimize than start your game?":censored:  no sound what could be wrong"? Shoot another problem Connection problem?. The computer nerd is getting trouble over the ordeal. ANSWER! IRQ can fix the problem, Study the irq and make changes as you go. "what would it be like with no stop signs,,,that is the same as a irq. with the same knowldge this topic brings IRQ need to be clearly understood.
I can honestly say my system is error free and running like a dream.
    xp 2500 barton 333
    creative sound 5.1gamers.
512 mb kingston ram 400 mhz
    boadband either onboard.
    MSI 5700 128 mb ddr
    Setting are:
    163 fsb
    mult of 11
    ddr 333
video memory clock down to 450mhz
    3d clock to 390mhz
The delta is a smooth running board also I want to mention to the person with crackling sounds, change the irq like I did, that fix the problem and the power is totaly too good to be true.

  • Occasional Forums/AUR/Wiki unavailability

Twice in the past 24 hours and once before, I've lost my ability to connect to the server that hosts these forums as well as the Wiki and AUR.
When connecting with a browser, the connection times out. I tried `curl -v` and got "Network is unreachable."
I can ping and traceroute the address with no errors, but HTTP just doesn't come through.
It happens (seemingly) at random, and only time seems to fix it.
This isn't really an Arch issue per se. It affects my entire network, but it's only this one server. Someone on #archlinux thought that it might've been DNS caching, but curl says that it's not there.
    Any ideas?

Yup -- turns out routing through the middle-east/SEA isn't better than going Melbourne => Sydney => LAX => NYC => London => Germany
Well, at 180 mS, it is not going up to a satellite between Sydney and LA.  My back of the envelope round trip time to geosync is about 270 mS, not counting transponder delay.
FO (along a minor circle route) is on the order of 60 mS, not counting transponder delay.

    Hi,
You can set those profile options from System Administrator responsibility > Profile > System.
Please see these docs for details.
