Set dynamic data attribute subvi

Hi,
I am facing this wierd issue with a subvi, "set dynamic data attribute". When I place it on the block diagram, it disappears as I move this to the right. It is functional, though I can not see the icon of this subvi, if I move this beyond certain area on the block diagram. I am using LabView 2010 SP1.
Any clues,
Thanks,
Deepak

Thank you very much. I looked at the last thread as well. Following are the dimensions of my block diagram in pixels,
vertically -423 to +121
horizontally -16338 to +13537
certainly it is too large. I prefer to use flat sequences over stacked, and that resulted in such a large block diagram. Any tips to improve this. I have started breaking the vi. into subvi as one of the solutions.
Thank you again,
Deepak

  • Why won't my Set Dynaminc Data Attributes timestamp my data

    Using LabView 2011. Built a program that uses a DAQ Assistant to read some sensors. Output is a Dynamic Data Array. Using the Write to Measurement File Express vi to log the data. Set the X Value (time) Columns to One Column only. Result: I get the dt value in the X Value column. How do I get it to display the timestamp instead?
    I have tried inserting a Set Attributes express vi between the DAQ Assistant and the Write to Measurement file and selected Start timestamp. No effect. Selected Timestamp under signal index. Nope. That didn't work. Tried setting them both. Still no luck.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advanced,
    Dean

    You are NOT going to belive this. After spending the afternoon writing VIs for handling existing filenames and exporting waveforms to spreadshet files, I start mucking around with the string because it is putting a blank line between the DAQ reads (5 rows for 5 samples, then a blank row and then the acquisition loops again). In the process of testing (removing the extra carriage returns in the string) I start getting Excel files that no longer have the date or hour, just the minutes and seconds. Wt?
    Turns out, Excel sometimes does that. Format the cells using the custom feature and chose dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss.00 and suddenly its all back to normal.
    To add to my frustration I went back to the original data file my student was complaining about and formatted the cells and guess what? The standard express vi's export the date, hour, minutes, seconds. All you have to do is use the custom cell format in excel.
    However, the standard express vis will still drop those stupid blank rows in your data.
    Thanks for your assistance Dennis. I hope my frustrations as noted above will be of some use to you in the future.

    Dean

  • How to set dynamic date in variant

    Hi,
    I'm going to create a variant for report RBDAPP01, I want to set the create on date dynamically, create on from should be one day before current day, to should be currently day, how to create this variant?

    Hi Rakesh,
    As sekhar explained, select options using F4 on date selection.
    There will be options like current date - days , current days + days , first day of current month, last date of current month like vise.
    Eg. Time evaluation should be run for 3 month back with ref to current date.
    Hence, select current date - days option using F4. Then system will ask for days. There we provided 90 days (3 Months).
    So if current date is 07/09/2014 then system will run from 7/6/2014 ( 90 Days ).
    Hope this will clear.
    Please let me know if further details required.
    Best Regards,

  • Dynamic date in the selection according to fiscal year variant

    Hi
    Is it possible to set dynamic date input parameter from the fiscal year variant sap table (OB29 transaction).
    For example when I run valuation (F.05) I want the value date input field to be the last day of the previous period.
    Thanks
    Ofer

    Hi,
    The dynamic dates on the selection parameters may come from the variant.
    You need to create the variants accordingly to your requirements and specify how the date on the selection screen has to be calculated.
    You have different options for this purpose.

  • Can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ?

    Hello!
    I have a report where one of its parameters refers to a list of values (LOVs). This list of values is an SQL Query type. When the data source used in the report is defined in the BI Publisher server, I'm able to get the report parameters using the getReportParameters() function in my application. However, if the data source is not defined the function throws an exception, which is understandable.
    I decided to dynamically set the data source so that even if the data source used by the report is not defined in the BI Publisher server, it still will be able to get the LOVs for the parameter. I tried setting the JDBCDataSource of the dynamicDataSource for the ReportRequest object that I passed to the getReportParameters() function. Please see the sample code below:
    reportRequest.dynamicDataSource = new BIP10.BIPDataSource();
    reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource = new BIP10.JDBCDataSource();
    setReportDataSource(reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource, connectstr, jdbc, dc); //function to set the values for JDBCDataSource object
    reportParams = webrs.getReportParameters(reportRequest, uid, pwd); //call the getReportParameters
    I was expecting this to work as this is what I did to dynamically set the data source before calling the runReport function. So, my question is -- can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ? I tried this both in versions 10g and 11g. It does not seem to work on both versions.
    Regards,
    Stephanie

    report_id column of apex_application_page_ir_rpt can help us uniquely identify each saved report.
    We can assign this report_id value to a page item and this page item can be put in the Report ID Item text box of the Advanced section of the Report Attributes page of the IR.
    This should load the saved report identified by report_id and you can get rid of javascript

  • How to implement moving (linear) averaging in a subVI with dynamic data?

    I was wondering how to implement a moving or rolling linear averaging using a subVI on a set of dynamic data coming from the DAQ Assistant or a counter input channel that will be written using the Write to Measurement File VI?  Below is an example of what I mean.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    You could use the MeanPtbyPt vi to give the running average.  Assuming your code snippet is inside a loop, wire an =0? comparison of the iteration number to the initialize input to reset the value and put 25 (or whatever you want) as the sample length.

  • Dynamically set send date to defer event subscription

    Hi,
    I need to have an event subscription when new employees are hired, but defer payroll notification until their respective future hire dates.
    I am entertaining the thought of having one event subscription defined for the event, but deferring subscription processing using future send date by dynamically setting the send_date attribute to the future hire date of each new employee. Are there any PL/SQL API available to dynamically adjust the send date for new hires?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for your feedback. I don't see this feature request in the idea list yet. You should post it here so other can vote on it.

  • Where to set lock while loading master data attributes

    Hello Experts,
    I have two different datasources from ECC which loads into 0CUST_SALES attributes. I'm using two different DTP & transformation which are loading data in the this infoobject attributes.
    When i try to load data, the DTP fails with an error message at "Updating attributes for InfoObject 0CUST_SALES Processing Terminated" & the job log says: "Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes".
    Here what exactly  LOCK means?
    Thanks in advance.
    Zakir Khan.

    Hi,
    The lock means that some program is updating the master data (a table) and at the same time other program can not update that same master data. When the first program completes the updation it will release the lock so that the other program can update this.
    In your case you and schedule the DTP one after another.
    Thanks

  • Using attribute as a set of data and parsing this data

    Hi everyone,
    I present below a (little) challenge with the use of attributes in XQuery. Consider the following XML document:
    <showroom>
    <car id="1">
    <name>Clio</name>
    <family>Renault</family>
    </car>
    <car id="n">
    <name>Q5</name>
    <family>Audi</family>
    </car>
    </showroom>
    Each client of the showroom is identified by a unique Id (e.g., 1,2,3,....). Then, i want to add some data to my XML document which should represent, for each car, the set of all clients' Id that have rented this car.
    The desired XML document could look like this:
    <showroom>
    <car id="1">
    <name>Clio</name>
    <family>Renault</family>
    +*<history>*+
    +*<client id="2"/>*+
    +*<client id="23"/>*+
    +*</history>*+
    </car>
    <car id="n">
    <name>Q5</name>
    <family>Audi</family>
    +*<history>*+
    +*<client id="56"/>*+
    +*</history>*+
    </car>
    </showroom>
    However, by using elements in order to represent the rental historic, the document's size will increase significantly.
    As i use only the clients' id, are there any way to represent the history data using only attributes ?+.
    In the following document, the clients' id are represented, as a set, through the attribute +@history+:
    <showroom>
    <car id="1" history="2,23">
    <name>Clio</name>
    <family>Renault</family>
    </car>
    <car id="n" history="56">
    <name>Q5</name>
    <family>Audi</family>
    </car>
    </showroom>
    However, are there any way to check if a given car of id='x' has been rented by a client of Id='y' ?+.
    Does someone know how to represent the history data (sequence of clients' id), using only attributes, and how to look for a given client's id as explained above ?
    Please suggest. I appreciate your help.

    The two following documents represent examples of the showroom data and the clients' data respectively:
    First document:
    <showroom>
    <car id="1">
    <name>Clio</name>
    <family>Renault</family>
    </car>
    <car id="n">
    <name>Q5</name>
    <family>Audi</family>
    </car>
    </showroom>
    Second document:
    <clients>
    <client id="2">
    <name>...</name>
    <firstname>...</firstname>
    <driverLicence serialNumber="2156311"/>
    </client>
    </clients>
    The DTDs of these documents are defined as follows:
    The showroom DTD:
    <!ELEMENT showroom (car)*>
    <!ELEMENT car (name,family)>
    <!ELEMENT name (#PCDATA)>
    <!ELEMENT family (#PCDATA)>
    <!ELEMENT N3 (#PCDATA)>
    <!ATTLIST car id ID #REQUIRED>
    The clients DTD:
    <!ELEMENT clients (client)*>
    <!ELEMENT client (name,firstname,driverLicence)>
    <!ELEMENT name (#PCDATA)>
    <!ELEMENT firstname (#PCDATA)>
    <!ELEMENT driverLicence EMPTY>
    <!ATTLIST client id ID #REQUIRED>
    <!ATTLIST driverLicence serialNumber ID #REQUIRED>
    Whenever a car is rented, I must add some information either in the same showroom document (it will be better for me) or in another document which relies rented car id with the id of the client which rented this car.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Easy and efficient way to set dynamic attributes

    My integration scenario is quite complex involving many different receivers and an integration process. For some receivers I have to set dynamic attributes.
    I know that I can set them by using a UDF, however in my case I mostly use XSLT so this is not applicable.
    Is there any other way to do this relatively easy so that I can avoid Java Mappings? Problem ist that I would need to use several Java Mappings to set the attributes where no transformation to the payload itself is taking place which seems to be too much for me. Especially when I consider that these Java Mappings are hard to maintain as they have to be imported again and again if any changes occur.
    So my question is:
    1. Do I really have to go for several Java Mappings just to set some dynamic attributes ?
    2. If so, should I use different Java Packages or is it advisable to leave all Java Mappings in one package?

    Hi Florian,
    yes, you can!
    set dyn atts in XSLT:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:map="java:java.util.Map" xmlns:dyn="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfiguration" xmlns:key="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfigurationKey">
    <xsl:if test="REFERENCEQUALIFIER='MSU'">
         <xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf" select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')"></xsl:variable>
         <!--  mit dem folgenden Key-Key-Paar muss dann via UDF die Adresse aus den dyn. Attr. gelesen werden -->
              <xsl:variable name="dynamic-key" select="key:create('http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail', 'MAILADRESS_SU')"></xsl:variable>
              <xsl:variable name="dummy" select="dyn:put($dynamic-conf, $dynamic-key, $MAILADRESS)"></xsl:variable>
              <xsl:comment>Mailadresse SU ermittelt: <xsl:value-of select="$MAILADRESS"></xsl:value-of>
              </xsl:comment>
    Hoffe es hilft.

  • Is there any way we can set default value for a Date Attribute to current date in Master Data Services

    Is there any way we can set default value for a Date Attribute to current date in Master Data Services.
    I as well wants to know that is there any posibility to show Calendar control while input data into respective date attributes.
    Thanks.

    Hi Anagha,
    So far i havent found any way to set todays date by default from MMI, but i guess this flow should work as workaroud
    1. Add buisness rule which can set a default value when Date = NULL/Blank
    2.get the entity table ,use -select EntityTable from mdm.tblEntity where Name = '<enter entity name>'
    3.Go to that table and add a after update trigger like
    if uda_<entityid>_<attributeid(Date attribute)> = default value
    update uda_<entityid>_<attributeid(Date attribute)> =getdate() where id = <LastUpdatedRow>
    I will check on this too from my side.
    By the way AFAIK i dont think so calendar control integration is possible .
