Set of extensions for fileupload
Dear professionals,
I have the following question:
I use fileupload component for uploading files and the requirement is to restrict selection of files to be uploaded to only image documents. When I use this component, at runtime it allows selecting only 3 classes of documents: all files, image files (but only jpg and jpeg formats) and html.
these Image formats are a good solution but the list of allowed formats is too little and I'd like to extend it with .bmp, .tiff etc. Is there a standard solution for doing it, probably these values (jpg and jpeg) are stored in a table I can extend?

I examined this thread but as I understand it's topic, it's not exactly what I need. I don't wanna check file extensions at runtime AFTER USER INPUT (USER FILE SELECTION).
I mean that when I call FileUpload component during WD execution I want to define my own set of extensions in the popup window for selecting files.

Setting file extension for flex download
Hi, I have a flex/flash download app that I use on my website, but a lot of people have trouble with it because they rename the file and accidentally remove the .zip from the end of the file name. Is there any way that i can prevent this? I have noticed that when i click to download, the "Save as Type" drop down is blank. It looks like this:

You can restrict them to save in any other format by making the check.
Simply add listner for the Event.OPEN on the fileReference and inside this check for your allowed extension,if the extension is not what you want then
simply right a line there like:-
fileReference.cancel();
And addtionally you can give any alert that your file should be of that particular extension.

Set Permissions Extension not compatible with CS4
I have been using the set permissions extension for so long I thought it was just a given that this basic file management function would be part of DreamWeaver forever. I was wrong....In CS4 calling the extension throws this error: "set permissions requires version 7 or above". Using CS4 Dreamweaver version 10, go figure! This is such a fundamental functionality, I can almost not imagine any serious web developer not needing this capability in DW. Having to use another program to go around this bug is a real pain, especially in a high productivity environment.
Can someone please update the set permissions extension?The extension is not needed in DWCS4, as the functionality the extension adds was built in, I think in DW8, but it may be later. When you have the files panel expanded to show local and remote files, you can right click on the remote side and change permissions of the selected item(s).

How to set default .PDF file extension for Form Downloads
I am trying to find a way of setting the PDF file extension when I download forms.
I author the forms under a Plus subscription and am then downloading the forms under a basic subscription Collaborator account (diffrent person)
If I don't include .pdf as the file type when downloading a form with a unique name as the Collaborator, it downloads without a file extension.
Remembering to continually add the pdf file extension is a pain so I'm hoping there is away of setting this as a defaulet for my 'collaborator' account ?Firstly, apologies for multiple posts, I received messages saying my comment hadn't posted and also checked my history before re-submitting.
Okay, the process is
1. Log in as the Author account and I can rename the file without having to set the extension
2. Log in as the Collaboartor account - same PC, browser etc and it doesn't save with a default file extension; HOWEVER, I have done this whilst also being logged in on a diffrent browser as the Author
3 I have just tried logging out as Author and only being in as the collaborator and the form downloaded with a default PDF.
4. I had someone else log in as the collaborator from thei PC and browser whilst I was still signed inunder my author account and again they were unable to save as PDF by default
This has me wondering if there is anything at play when you've got multiple Users? -
Cannot set default programs for a file extension in Gnome
After a gnome upgrade (cannot remember when), I can no longer set the default program for a particular file extension by right clicking the file in nautilus -> going to "properties" -> going to "open with" tab -> highlighting a program -> pressing "set as default".
The program I was trying to set was totem for default video playback; wine had made windows media player the default player prior. Interestingly, once I installed gnome-mplayer; the default program changed to gnome-mplayer and I was then able to switch default programs. This error may be related to wine.

DesireeI dont think you can deactivate the enterprise extensions. Check txn. SFW5 and check the logs and see what erros you got ?

Set default PDF extension for Downloaded Forms - Collaborator
Is there a way of making .PDF the deafult file extension for downloaded forms?
I'm trying to dteremine if this feature is controlled by the actual subscription type pr the access type.
I have a Basic User Account setup as a Collaborator on a form which I author under a Plus subscription. I would like the default file type to be .PDF for any forms that are saved with their own unique name. However, unless I include the .PDF as part of the file name, the file saves without an extension.
Is there a way that I can set this as a default for the Collaborator because having to remeber to add the file extension is a pain.Please see my response in your other post of the same question: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1343769?tstart=0

Using JSSE : "Invalid Netscape CertType extension for SSL client" Error

Im using the sample code given sun site for JSSE with Client Authentication. The sample as such it worked with the testkeys provided in that. But it didn't workout when I tried using other certificates.
Both client and server certificates I generated from our internal Netscape Certificate Manager.
Function of the server :
The server will read a private key from the given keystore and starts listening on a port. This server will server only GET request.
Function of the client :
The Client sends a GET request to the server and gets the response back.
I simply changed the key store name alone in the working sample code.
It is not working.

I have found the place where the exception throws.
It is com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.AVA class.
It has a constructor AVA(StringReader)
There is a check in this constructor of different certificate extensions
(if-else). If it sees no familiar extension it throws exception and handshake fails.
It is not difficult to fix this problem: just ignore unknown extension.
Everything works fine with this "improved" class (under VA 3.5).
But the problem is - the using of this class in applets.
How can I say the browser to use my "improved" class and not the one it downloaded with java plug-in? -
My younger sister executed my firefox just at this afternoon(she originally use IE), and she saw something that can't be seen. How can I set a password for firefox so that everyone have to enter the password before executing firefox?

It is an extension to protect the profile with a password, but being an extension that protection can easily be bypassed by starting Firefox in [[Safe mode]].<br />
So do not rely on it.<br />
If you want to protect content then you have to use methods supported by the OS like a separate user account with a password or an encrypted file system. -

Looking for a high-contrast extension for Safari for Windows
First of all,what do we call them - extensions or plugins?
Is there an extension for Safari for Windows for high-contrast? I can't find one anywhere. Windows 7 is set to a HC theme. IE just follows suit. Chrome detected this, ad offered to install a theme.
Don't know why, but I still prefer Safari on my Win7 system. But really need HC. One that just inverts the colors would work, but one with several other options like the Chrome extension would be better.

The list of extensions for InDesign now have a yellow triangle warning symbol in front of a good many of the extensions and when moused over i get one of two messages:
"Extensions may not function properly because it does not meet the dependency condition."
OR
Extension Status is not consistent with extension set configuration."
The reason I opened the Extension Manager in the first place was to check to see if I had installed a third party extension. And I was presented with these warning symbols. I haven't added anything, I haven't done anything that would cause this.
Does anyone know how to fix this???
I am running OSX 10.9.5; Indesign CS6 version 8.0.2 And Adobe Extension Manager version 6.0.8.28.

NinaMany InDesign pre-installed extensions (Those extensions you have immediately after InDesign installation) define dependency rules in their mxi files. Dependency means that one extension works well only if one or more other extensions are installed and enabled. If this condition is not met, the yellow triangle warning will be shown.
You can select an extension with warning, click "Advanced" tag page in the lower right panel. You will see "This extension has dependency on: <extension name> ...". Check whether every extensions listed here are available and enabled. If not, enable them. Repeat these steps for all the extensions which have warning. -
File extension for: cl_gui_frontend_services= file_open_dialog

I would like to set the file extension for cl_gui_frontend_services=>file_open_dialog such that my default extension in the file open dialogue is the .csv (comma-separated value) file. May I know how can I do that?

Howeer, I tried to use the extension of CSV and the file dialogue opened up with .RTF (which is the default extension) instead.

Custom File Extension for Microsoft Access Text Driver (*.txt, *.csv)
I'm trying to use a custom file extension for the Microsoft Access Text Driver (*.txt, *.csv) driver.
I have updated the FileExtns registry to have my new extension.
When I issue the following it does not work.

If I make the file a .csv it works fine. However, if it has an extension of not CSV or TXT (in this case .lst, which is in the registry setting) extension it throws the following error and cannot seem to find a solution to it.
