Set render according to  a query

Hi there,
i have a case where i have to set the rendered property of some items on my screen according to values retrieved from an sql statement.
When i change a value in a listbox, that value must be given to an sql statement as a parameter (select field_id fom table where id = the value in the list box) to query the ids of the fields from a database table . (each id of a field in my jsf page has the same value in that database table).
For each record retrieved in that query, the field's rendering having that id must turn to false.
Anyone can give me a solution to my urgent problem ? ( Where do i write the select statement and the loop and how ... )

  • How to set the table input in Query template?

    Hi all.
I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS).  But if i set the same xml structure  in
query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source.  How to set the table input in Query template?
    can anyone help me?
    Regards,
    Hemalatha

    Hema,
You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

  • I have SSRS parametarized report in that one data set have repeated values with query parameter . but while am mapping that query parameter to report parameter i need to pass distinct values. How can i resolve this

I have SSRS parametarized report in that one data set have repeated values with query parameter . but while am mapping that query
parameter to report parameter i need to pass distinct values. How can i resolve this

    Hi nancharaiah,
If I understand correctly, you want to pass distinct values to report parameter. In Reporting Service, there are only three methods for parameter's Available Values:
    None
    Specify values
    Get values from a query
If we utilize the third option that get values from a dataset query, then the all available values are from the returns of the dataset. So if we want to pass distinct values from a dataset, we need to make the dataset returns distinct values. The following
    sample is for your reference:
    Select distinct field_name  from table_name
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Set view criteria on af:query choice LOV field

i have an af:query. one of the fields is a choice. the LOV for the choice come from a VO. i need to set view criteria for the query for the LOV for the choice. that is, the query for the values of the choice requires view criteria.
moreover, that search criteria is only known by the view. because the hooks for the choice are set up entirely in the model, i don't see how it would ever be possible to use values from the view to define the query for the LOV for the choice.
    any ideas?

Assuming that you can have a method at the AM level that sets the viewCriteria for your VO, you can drag this method to the page flow to be executed before you go into the query page - this will set the right condition for the list that needs to populate the LOV.
Then the query component can use that VO as an LOV like this:

    Hello CP752,
It sounds like you are unable to delete the FaceTime account from your iPad. I would recommend closing all the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and try updating the password again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If it persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes with this article:
iOS: How to back up and restore your content

And restore it from your backup with this article:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

Since backups do not store your passwords, this should, as a last resort allow you to update your password properly.

  • Set up a link in Query Designer

    How expert,
i would like to set up a link in Query Designer so that by running the query in Bex Analyzer the user can see the link and connect to it directly.
    Any idea?
Thank you in Advance for your Input.
    Cheers

    Hi,
in rsbbs you define your query as sender object. Then you create jump targets in there. You will get a list of possible target types such as r/3 transactions, other queries and also web sites.....
Select the appropriate type and enter the value for it. These targets will be available by right clicking on the query result using the option 'jump to' or 'goto'.

    Hi,
what comes to my mind is to create a custom version of HashMap (extend HashMap) and override the get method. The configure this custom Hashmap as a managed bean. Usually you cannot pass arguments in EL, but for HashMaps this is doable by overriding the get method (at least I remember having done this before).
So in your EL rendered property value you do
    #{managedHashMapBean["nameOfFieldId"]
In the bean you just check if the ID exists and if it doesn't return true. So all that your query needs to do is to populate the internal state of the hashmap with the IDs that should be false.

  • How can set the timestamp format in query component?

I met 2 problems when I am using timestampTZ on query component.
The first one, in the table, I have a field type is timestampTZ. And I have a query on this field. However, When I open the page, I found the date format is not what I want, can I change the format in the query component? Like from “mm/dd/yyyy” to “dd/mm/yyyy” in the search criteria. For the query component. I used bing variable. The bing variable I set to timestampTZ type.
Another problem is, as in the database, the time has date and time, but in the query component, it only has date, so if I added a end date field, it only show the records before the end date. I think the parameter take the time as 00:00:00. Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. I tried, but still not work, I can see the date with time. But I tried to execute the query, it threw exception (with/without date value). Is that because the field in database is timestampTZ?

  • OWL with Default Set containting Current Date as query parameter

    Hello Everybody,
I have a custom BO which mainly consists of a name and a time period (start and end date).
Now I'd like to create a Default set like
"Give me all objects with today between start and end date."
    I already tried the following:
    Filling a field using UI-Scripting:
    $data.UIState.Today = $controller.DateTimeUtils.DateNow;
Copy the field into the search parameter
executing the query with this search parameter.
However, I using this approach, I only managed to search for objects matching exactly todays date, but not using greater/lower comparators.
Furthermore I also searched for a field transformation giving me the current date but did not succeed.
Does anyone have any ideas how to achieve this or how to get one of the above ideas to work?
    Best regards,
    Ludger

    Hello Ludger,
That`s what I expected: The fields do not define the interval.
Therefore you need to define it by yourself via this "less or equal".
What you can do in the UI Designer at the query definition is to provide an interval
    For the field "CurrentDate" provide
    - SelectOption = "between"
    - Low Value = your start date
    - High Value = your end date
    - Select Option = "include"

  • How do I put a label in a null field in the result set of a group-by query

    I run the query:
select section, count(*) from nparcel group by section
    and get the result
    section1 100
    section2 200
    section3 300
    400
I would like to modify the query to put a label, perhaps 'BLANK', in the last returned row. Is that possible and if so how.
    Thanks in advance for helping.

    Hi,
In SQL*Plus you have some additional options, that apply to all queries until you override them or end the session.
COLUMN section NULL BLANKapplies only to the column called "section".
SET NULL BLANKApplies to all columns.
