Set tcp ip debug issue! doesn't log!

Hi,
I have tried to debug tcp ip traffic but the usual logging doesn't
work.
I set the debugger to 1
use the net
set it to 0
unload conlog
view the conlog file
but it doesn't show any traffic at all.
Only logs the commands executed on system screen.
currently NW 6.0 sp3 on both servers (BM + fileserver)
Tried to find something on it on Craigs site but there was a
mentioning
from last year that it had a bug that should be fixed with sp1

Debugging issue on establishing connection

Hi,
after reading all the comments on debugging issues using sql developer i am no step further. It seems i have a different problem.
I'm using sql developer 1.5.1 on a windows client.
<ul><li>connection to server is establihed via basic configuration (server, port, sid)</li>
<li>the code is comiled for debug</li>
<li>i do no remote debugging</li>

When the debugging is startet i get the following log:

The point is, there is a debug service listening at the named port. If i start al telnet session at the ip and port i get the response: JDWP-Handshake
It seems the debugging process is not able to reach the db on the server? But why - since the client does?

The way debugging works is that the database session which is running your code, connects back to the debugger running within sqldeveloper. So for debugging to work, the database server needs to be able to connect to your PC.
Is the IP address in the error message the IP address of you PC? I assume so, since you can telnet to it. If not, try checking the preference "Prompt for debugger host for database debugging" in Tools | Preferences| Debugger.
If you have access to the database server can you connect back to your PC using telnet?

Closing the browser in InfoView doesn't log the user off.

In Business Objects XI R2 Infoview, closing the browser in InfoView doesn't log the user off no matter how you answer the subsequent popup question "A window has closed. Log off as well?" Is there a fix for this somewhere?

In InfoView, with Performance Management installed, user sessions fail to be released immediately when the Log Off button is clicked.
If you click the logoff button in Infoview and watch the address bar you will notice that it actually goes to another page called default.htm. It does this really fast. That page is located at C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\InfoView. Remove both the default.htm and index.html and reboot your Tomcat server. Open a browser and go to Infoview. Once you have gotten in to Infoview click the log off button. You will get and error from the tomcat server and that is because the page does not exist anymore. If you look in CMS under servers and CMS you will also notice it dropped the session as well. So if you create another Default.htm page of your own and just redirect to another page it all should work.
However I did notice an interesting ADAPT in CHF15 :-

Performance issues related to logging (ForceSingleTraceFile option)

Dear SDN members,
I have a question about logging.
I like to place my logs/traces for every application in different log files. By doing this you have to set the ForceSingleTraceFile option to NO (in the config tool).
But in a presentation of SAP, named SAP Web Application Server 6.40; SAP Logging and Tracing API, is stated:
- All traces by default go to the default trace file.
- Good for performance
- On production systems, this is a must!!!
- Hard to find your trace messages
- Solution: Configure development systems to pipe traces and logs for applications to their own specific trace file
But I want the logs/traces also by our customers (production systems) in separate files. So my question is:
What are the performance issues we face, if we turn the ForceSingleTraceFile option to NO by our customers?
and
If we turn the ForceSingleTraceFile to NO will the logs/traces of the SAP applications also go to different files? If so, then I can imagine that it will be difficult to find the logs of the different SAP applications.
I hope that someone can clarify the working of the ForceSingleTraceFile setting.

Dear Marinus,
The performance issues with extensive logging are related to high memory usage (for concatenation/generation of the messages which are written to the log files) and as result increased garbare collection frequency, as well as high disk I/O and CPU overhead for the actual logging.
Writing to same trace file, if logging is extensive can become a bottleneck.
Anyway it is not related to if you should write the logs to the default trace of a standard location. I believe that the recommendation in the documentation is just about using the standard logging APIs of the SAP Java Server, because they are well optimized.

"The tagged TIME member [Q4.08] does not exist in Currency Database [CUREISRI]"

in the server log we cann see the following messages:

i'm newbie to essbase and i don't found any info about the above error neither in the Internet nor in the oracle essbase documentation.

Select which users doesn't logged their work yesterday on MS Project 2013

We use MS Project 2013 to control people work report.
I wanna make a SQL query that will catch all users that doesn't set their work yesterday on WebProject App.
My intention on that is to alert them by e-mail about this.
If the user doesn't logged his work for three or more days consecutive, his coordinator must be alerted too.
Is there any configuration property on MS Project to do this ?

My Macbook Retina doesn't log back in from sleep after typing in the password, have to force shut down

Recently i've been having this problem once in a while (once every few days) that when I opened up my computer from sleep, I typed in my password and clicked enter. After that, it shows that normal grey box thing; normally it logs in after a few seconds, but sometimes i wait for 2 minutes and still it doesn't log in. I sleep it and wake it again, but this time i type the password and i click enter, but nothing happens, i can't click switch user either. At this point my only choice is to force shut down my macbook. This problem is a bit annoying since sometimes i have unsaved work.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Opening and closing Multiple TCP connections issues

Hi all I am having an issue with the TCP VI’s and wondering if anyone has experienced this issue.
My application is required to scan 50-100 IP addresses (statically assigned) and discover if an Ethernet device is connect at that IP address. Currently I am able to achieve this by opening a TCP connection and testing the error cluster to determine if a timeout has occurred (no timeout error means Ethernet device available at the IP address). I then ensure that the TCP connections are closed.
The issue I am have is that I require a 1 second delay between the TCP open and the TCP close which significantly slows down the process. Without the 1 second delay the vi successfully connects to the device once then fails to make any TCP connect regardless of the time delay until the PC is reset.
If anyone has any advice I would be very grateful

While I don't have a specific answer for this problem. I want to clarify for him. I believe the issue is, what if all connections ARE there? That means you keep returning a wait of 1 second 50-100 times so It takes 50-100 seconds just to initialize. Power on MacBook Pro takes me to login screen. All user icons appear as normal. Once I enter password for myself (administrator) spinning takes longer than normal and doesn't log in but displays a no sign (circle w line through it) when attempting to login from guest account it takes me to screen that says that the computer will restart to a safe safari system for the guest user. I waited for a longer time and the grey denim screen comes up. By the apple in left upper corner it said I think LSA? Then safari menu bar. The page it loads to us file:///System/Installation/CDIS/Mac%2005%20X%20Utilities.app/Contents/Resource s/English.iproj/GuestLoginInfirmation.html
Can someone HELP? I'm afraid I might do something wrong

Oh I've found it meanwhile! The is a 2nd post! So never mind this one! I think lawyerhusain understood he has to let Apple know, if he wants them to know and the technical thing will continue with the 2nd post!

Boot into Internet Recovery and erase the hard drive, then reinstall the OS.
That will install the original OS that the Mac shipped with. You can then register it under your AppleID and upgrade to Mavericks.

I bought the Mountain Lion OSX, and after installed it my regular user doesn't log in.
After I putted the right password the mac gave me a gray screen and come back to the first screen of users, anyone knows what I do to solute this?

My iPhone 3G doesn't log onto 3G

I have just realised that my iPhone 3G doesn't log onto 3G (the 3G sign doesn't appear in the top left of the screen). My friends have 3GS phones and I noticed that their phones work noticeably faster and the 3G sign appears in the top left of the screen when sat in the same position.
I have checked that 3G is enabled in the "General", "Network" settings menu, can anyone help?

Assuming you're in a 3G coverage area, a few things to try...
1. Turn 3G Off and then back On
2. Reset Network Settings
3. Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Setting up authentication debug to understand an issue

Hi,
Running Adobe Lifecycle ES2 with LDAP authentication here.
I just changed my LDAP server-looking password and I cannot anylonger log to the LiveCycle web with my username/password.
I clicked the "Test" function in the admin GUI and everything is working really well.
The WARN message is:
"[com.adobe.idp.um.businesslogic.authentication.AuthenticationManagerBean] Authentication failed for user [user] (Scheme - Username/Password) Reason: Username or password is incorrect . Refer to debug level logs for category com.adobe.idp.um.businesslogic.authentication for further details"
Any idea on how can I enable the debugging for this error? Any idea on what could be wrong?
