Set TextField value when Data present.

I have a form that I want prices to appear when data in a textfield is present. So If "TextField A" contains any data have TextField B show $20.00. If "TextField A" becomes blank "TextField B" is blank also.

Hi,
If you place the following Javascript in the calculate event of TextFieldB,
if (TextFieldA.rawValue != null)
     this.rawValue = "$20.00";
else
     this.rawValue = null;
That should work,
Niall

  • How to set a value to a Presentation Variable using GO URL?

    Hi All,
         I am working on a drill (GO URL) from Dashboard page1 to Dashboard page2.
         The problem I am facing is, I am not able to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL. (I have to pass "Customer Category" static
    value to The presentation variable present in Dashboard Page2 ).
         The Dashboard page2 is having a view select in which we are using presentation variable to select the report based on the value selected in
    View Select.
         For example: If the user selects "Customer Category" value in View select and clicks on GO button Customer Category report will show the out put.
         When i am drilling from Dashboard Page1 I have to pass a value to the presentation variable used in view select and also pass some filter condition in
         GO URL.
         Please let me know if it is feasible to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.
         It will be greate if you can provide me with the syntax to set a value to the presentation variable of dashboard page2 through GO URL.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sagar Vishwanathwar.

    1) You have to navigate to dashboard page, not to answer request = you have to use "Dashboard URL API" not GO URL API.
    2) On the target page, you have to place dashboard prompt, which sets required presentation variable.
    3) Refer to the target using Dashboard URL API and set filter on prompt column using URL parameters. Example: http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=%2Fusers%2Fadministrator%2F_portal&Page=page%201&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=eq&P2=D_TIME.YEAR_CODE&P3=%221996%22
    Do not forget to use Action=Navigate. The syntax for setting filters using url parameter is the same as for GO URL API described in Business Intelligence Presentation Services Administration Guide.
    This is the way, you can implement navigation to parametrized direct SQL reports including passing filter values...

  • How to set default value to date type attribute.

    Hi,
    How to set default value to date type attribute.
    E.g I want to set u201C01/01/1999u201D to date attributes.
    First i want to set value and then i want to fetch the same & want to check equals.
    please suggest solution.
    Regards,
    Smita

    Hi,
    In wdinit() method u can set the date
    DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy");
    Date today = Calendar.getInstance().getTime();
    String reportDate = df.format(today);
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setFromDate(reportDate);
    Another way you have set the this formate like that
    1. Create a Simple type under "Dictionaries->SimpleType" called DateFormat
    2. Select the type as "date"
    3. Go to the "Representation" tab and set the format as "dd/MM/yyyy" (or whatever u want, but month should be MM)
    4.Bind the context attribute to the type created now.
    Hope this helps u.
    Best Regards

  • How to set textfield-values with a process

    Hi.
    I have a form in which the user can fill in some textfields. To ease the usability, there should be a button to set the textfields to predefined values.
    I tried to set the values by implementing the following process:
    BEGIN
    :P2120_VALUE := 100;
    END;
    How can this be realised? What should the "process-point" value of the process be?
    Thanks very much in advance for your help.
    Stephan

    One way to do this would be to set each of the items' Source Used attributes to "Only, ..." and create the process like the one you showed as an after-submit (when button pressed) process then have a branch that goes back to the same page when the button is pressed.
    You should then see the form fields populated with the values established by the process after the branch happens.
    Sometimes with this kind of page logic you have to take care that no after-submit computations, validations, processes, and branches fire when this special button is used, unless you want them to.

  • ComboBox - Setting Selected Values from data

    I am running into a problem in Flex 3 that seems to be
    different from Flex 2. Maybe someone can help.
    I have a function for setting a combobox selected item for a
    location for a value when the titlewindow completes loading. The
    value is a prior value from a prior save. In other words to set the
    combobox a value from a prior session.
    The locations xml file is loaded from a remote object
    oncreationcomplete of the titlewindow. The setselectedvalue
    function worked perfectly in Flex 2 but now only works in Flex 2
    after the titlewindow is loaded. We tested this by running the
    setselectedvalue function from a button click after loading.
    The dataprovider length is showing 0 in our debugging. After
    titlewindow up on screen the length is showing correct ( 35 ) - in
    this case. Our viewxmlobject function is showing no xml. Shows xml
    correctly after up on screen.
    I have set the creationpolicy to "all". That did not help
    either.
    Any suggestions? Anyone. This is killing me. Spent two days
    now trying to get back to working state.
    private function SetSelectedValue_cbLocation(): void {
    var xLocID:String = eLocationID.text;
    //viewXmlObject( cbLocation.dataProvider )
    for (var i : int = 0; i < cbLocation.dataProvider.length
    ; i++) {
    //Alert.show( cbLocation.dataProvider
    .locid, 'Location DataProvider', Alert.OK);
    if ( xLocID == cbLocation.dataProvider.locid ){
    cbLocation.selectedIndex = i;
    break;
    The combobox has the dataprovider set at design time.
    <components:is2ComboBox id="cbLocation" x="585" y="4"
    width="196" dataProvider="{xmlLocations.Record}"
    labelField="locname" dataField="locid"
    change="changeLocation(event)" disabledColor="#004080" prompt="1.
    Please select location"></components:is2ComboBox>

    Hard to say without seeing the code. Is the application
    opening a pop-up window (the title window)? If so, where is the
    combo box located? In the main app or the titleWindow? What calls
    the SetSelectedValue_cbLocation() function?

  • How to set setRowKey value when table is populated dynamically

    Hi All
    I have created a view object using only select statement and displaying all the records in it in the table at page load. Table is SelectMany. Now after selecting some records I press submit button. At the backend logic is executed which prints how many rows selected and the values of the selected rows. Everything works fine till here.
    Now when the view object is modified by putting where clause. And the parameter to this where clause is coming from url. When the page is loaded table displays only records based on filter criteria. But the problem begins when I press the submit button. It shows the error: row is null for rowKey:oracle.jbo.Key[AAAQkHAAJAAAACkAAA ]
    I have done some research and found that row key is not set for the displayed records. because at the backend when I am printing the values of keys in selectionState.KeySet it prints only null.
    This thing happens only when table is populated dynamically through url value.
    Can anyone help me how to get the selectionState.Keyset values when table is populated dynamically?

    SOLVED:
    Actually there is no problem with the rowKeys as I mentioned in the post. What happened was that I was executing the query everytime on page load. Second time when the page is loaded the param value was set to null. So row becomes null but on the other hand I am referring the rows by some selected row keys. so the error that row is null for key...
    So now i am storing the param value in managed bean and then referring it in the code.

  • Can't Set Default Value for LOV Presentation DB Column

    I have a simple form. One of the fields is populated using a named, dynamic LOV with the following source query:
    SELECT USER_NAME DISPLAY_VALUE, USER_ID RETURN_VALUE
    FROM USER_ACCT
    ORDER BY 1
    I want the default user to be public, which is one of the possible values returned by the above query. However, I just can't find a good way to do this.
    If I put the following query in the Default section, nothing happens.
    SELECT USER_ID
    FROM USER_ACCT
    WHERE USER_NAME = 'PUBLIC'
    If I look up the ID and statically put the value in the Default, it works (This isn't acceptable . From environment to environment the value will differ)
    If I put the SQL in an after footer page process, it sets the value correctly in the session but, does not update the display.
    If I try to put it in the Post Calculation Computation section, it merely produces an error.
    I'm sure that I am missing something simple but, I have not spent an hour and half on this.
    Someone please help!
    -Joe

    A function I'd like to see is the ability to not only create a select list dynamically, but also set the default value of that select list's item to the first (or Nth?) value on that list. This could be specified in the builder by an item option.
    E.G., if a select list LOV returns three values: "foo", "bar", "baz", go ahead and set the value of the select list item to "foo".
    As far as I've been able to discover, there's no built-in way to do this in Application Express. I've looked through the app, the docs, and the forum. If such a method does exist, please let me know.
    Otherwise, we end up running additional processes that reissue the query so we can grab the first item as the default value. This seems inefficient to me.
    Keeping the LOV query and the "first item" query consistent can present problems as well. We usually end up pushing the LOV query into a function so it can be maintained in a single location, but this seems more like a workaround than anything else.
    While the query is probably cached, Application Express has that return value already, right? Why calculate/choose it again?

  • Can't set long value when I type the value in

    I don't work with long values much so I don't know if I'm missing something but I'm working on a Java program that needs to get the last modified dates from files and see if they've been updated since the last run. Well the date it returns is long. I set a long variable and when I tried to type in the value of a file I get an integer number too large error. This is a direct paste of the last modified date on one of the files. However, if I tell the variable to equal the files date it works fine. What am I missing?
            long oldTime = 1169806999093;
            File tempFile = new File("C:\\cygwin");
            oldTime = tempFile.lastModified();

    You must tell the compiler that the thing on the right hand side is a long literal rather than an int literal:
    long oldTime = 1169806999093LL; // notice the L at the end

  • Set default values in date prompt

    Hello,
    I have tried everything I can find in the forum to resolve a very daunting task. Thanks in advance for all your help.
    We have Crystal Server 2008 with Tomcat and IIS.
    I have several reports that use start date and end date  as parameters. When the user launches the report date prompt dialog box appears where you user can input the values. Typically (75% ) the user is always looking for yesterday's data however at times he/she would want to pick different date range to review the results. The requirement is to set the default values in the dialogbox to be currentdate-1. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Paul.

    What we do for all of our reports is have the date parameters be text fields that allow something like PD for prior day, PM for prior month, CM for current month, YTD for year to date, etc.  We then have crystal functions (and database functions; one for start dates and one for end dates) that translates the characters to real dates.  If the text entered does not match one of the "mnemonics", it is assumed to be a date, and it is treated as such.  This allows using the same report for scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. and ad-hoc runs without any other special coding.  In your case, you'd set the default parameter values to PD.
    Our mnemonics are of the form [PY]{P|C}{D|W|M|Q|Y}[DOW][{+|-}n], where [PY] is optional to specify a prior year date (for comparison reports), P=Prior, C=Current, D=Day, W=Week, M=Month, Q-Quarter, Y=Year, [DOW] is optional, and used with [PY] to specify that you are looking for the same day of week in the prior year (if CD=8/24/09, PYCDDOW=8/25/08), and the +n or -n allows you to add or subtract days/weeks/months/quarters/years (depending on the interval used) to the date.

  • How to set item values when redirecting to the same page.

    I just created a redirect button that I want to redirect to the same page and set the 2 page items on the page to the same value they had before the redirect.
    But I can't write:
    Set These Items: P1_Permit_Number,P1_Fishing_Year
    With These Values: &P1_Permit_Number.,&P1_Fishing_Year.
    Because there are no values in the session state, since a submit has not been done.
    So how do I do this?
    I know how to get the values stored in the items, e.g., $v('P1_PERMIT_NUMBER')
    but where do I place that command? It's not allowed under "With These Values"
    And I don't really want to make this a submit button and create a process that says:
    P1_PERMIT_NUMBER := $v('P1_PERMIT_NUMBER') because that would complicate the page too much -- I already have other processes and branches on the pages whose conditions would have to be modified so that they don't run during this scenario.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Gary and Andy. I rewrote the function according to above instructions:
    function redirectToURL()
    var permitNumber = document.getElementById('P1_Permit_Number');
    var fishingYear = document.getElementById('P1_Fishing_Year');
    var url = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&APP_SESSION.::::P1_Permit_Number,P1_Fishing_Year:' + permitNumber +',' + fishingYear;
    window.location.href = url;
    But when I entered a value for permit number and fishing year and redirected, the word "null" appeared in the Permit page item, instead of the permit number that I had entered.
    Remember that I am not submitting here. So if the syntax you showed me, i.e. getElementById('P1_Permit_Number'), searches for the item's session state, then it will be wrong, since there is no session state value for the items at this point. Perhaps that is the reason I got the null?
    If so, what can I do?

  • Set scale values when zoom out

    Hi!
    I have a XY Graph and I want it to have three different scale ranges depending on a case structure. So, for example, if it's case 1, I have the xy graph X.minimum = 1,234 and xy graph X.maximum = 10,789 and so on.
    I want to be able to zoom the graph but then when I zoom out to see all the points, I want it to have the same range I defined. I have the autoscale turned off and when I do the zoom out, it shows me different minumum and maximum values....
    Any help?

    Hello Zephirus,
    When you ask a zoom out, write the scale value that you define, using a property node. To get it, right click on the XY graphe terminal, in the diagram, then select Create >> Property node >> X (or Y) Scale >> Range then All elements, or just the elements you need to coerce.
    Let me know you progression,

  • Is there any way we can set default value for a Date Attribute to current date in Master Data Services

    Is there any way we can set default value for a Date Attribute to current date in Master Data Services.
    I as well wants to know that is there any posibility to show Calendar control while input data into respective date attributes.
    Thanks.

    Hi Anagha,
    So far i havent found any way to set todays date by default from MMI, but i guess this flow should work as workaroud
    1. Add buisness rule which can set a default value when Date = NULL/Blank
    2.get the entity table ,use -select EntityTable from mdm.tblEntity where Name = '<enter entity name>'
    3.Go to that table and add a after update trigger like
    if uda_<entityid>_<attributeid(Date attribute)> = default value
    update uda_<entityid>_<attributeid(Date attribute)> =getdate() where id = <LastUpdatedRow>
    I will check on this too from my side.
    By the way AFAIK i dont think so calendar control integration is possible .

  • Default value for date

    Hi experts,
    I want to set default value for dates..
    My screen has : date_from & date_to.
    date_to : will be current date(today's date) if Eg: 27.08.2007 (here i used NOW())
    then date_from must be 01.06.2007 (3 months logic)
    similarly : if date_to is 01.01.2007
    then date_from must be 01.11.2006
    kindly help...
    Thanks a lot!!!
    Regards,
    Bijal

    Hi Bijal
    (DGET(NOW(),'D'))-1) returns number which is 0 incase of 01.08.2007, so DADD(NOW(),-0,'D') is again ideally same day 01.08.2007 .
    So, DADD(DADD(NOW(),-0,'D'),-2,'M') should give you 01.06.2007.
    <b> IT WORKS!!! -
    I have tested it now.</b>
    Please check and revert.
    The IF formula which sent actually returns String, so use DVAL(IF(DGET(NOW(),'D')!=1,DADD(DADD(NOW(),-((DGET(NOW(),'D'))-1),'D'),-2,'M'),DADD(NOW(),-2,'M')))
